[sighs] >> Well, I'm actually doing this. Um, 11 years ago I left my home country in Eastern Europe and um I moved to the UK to start a new and better life. Obviously, I came here for more opportunities, uh better wages, a better economy and I do not regret that decision at all. This country has welcomed me with open arms. Um, the people have been amazing. Um very welcoming. And at the time moving to the UK um made a lot of sense to me since I was always able to speak English quite fluently. >>

[sighs] >> In the last 11 years since I've been here I have been following this um idea that in order to succeed in life you have to you have to climb the corporate ladder. You need these 9:00 to 5:00 um office {slash} retail {slash} customer service {slash} admin jobs. Always be the first one in the office, always be the last one to leave. And um to be completely honest, it's been a massive disappointment. I have achieved nothing. I am 38 and a half years old and about a week ago I quit my very demanding, mentally demanding, and low rewards office job. I was in a job that a lot of people would consider to be a good job. It was a decent pay. However, it was ruining my mental health. And fortunately, I woke up and I realized that it's all a lie.

So, I left this job aged 38 and a half. I have um very little in savings. I have absolutely no plan plans at all for the near future. However, what I do know is this. Most of my life I've let anxiety and self-doubt um limit me. I've let my anxiety dictate how I should live my life. And I believe um that was a huge mistake. I believe I could have achieved much more. And uh fortunately, it's not too late. Or I hope it isn't at least.

A couple of nights ago um I was on YouTube. I have this habit of looking for a podcast before I go to bed and I go to bed with a podcast playing in my earphones. And I don't normally listen to Gary V, but I came across one of his shorts and um he said something along the lines of try to close your eyes and think of yourself 10 years from now. So, a 48-year-old me looking back. What would I say about my life, about the last 10 years that I've lived? Would I regret not taking risks? Not starting a side hustle or maybe a full-on business. Uh or am I going to be content with the last 10 years and say to myself, "Yeah, at least I've tried." Even if I didn't succeed. And this is what I don't This is what I fear the most. I fear regret. I fear I don't know, 10 years or decades from now looking back at my life and regretting not taking that risk, not making a decision that could potentially radically change my life.

So, with that being said, I am for now done with 9:00 to 5:00 jobs. Like I said, I have absolutely no plans at all and very little in savings. However, what I do know is that I want to become my own boss. I want to start something on my own. And I want you guys to join me um on this journey. There may be some of you who are in my shoes. You're in your 30s, 40s, even older. Uh you you've let anxiety and fear dictate your life so far, but you woke up one day and you said, "No more." And maybe who knows, maybe uh we'll achieve something. Maybe this journey of mine will be of help to you. Maybe some of you guys will be of help to me. Maybe we can exchange advice. Maybe we can exchange experiences. Maybe we can make this into something beautiful.

Like I said, I have absolutely no plans. I will start brainstorming. I will start writing down ideas. I will try things. I will experiment. Um I will just do and not think. Well, I will have to do a bit of thinking. That wouldn't be very wise. Uh however, I have made a decision to risk, take risks, try something, and see what comes out of it. Hopefully, there will be a second video. Uh and why not a third and a fourth and if this gains traction and if I'm inspiring you guys and if I achieve something um and we make this into a successful journey then that's even better. So, yeah. Let's do this.
