If you found this video and you're in a fantasy football league, you made the right decision clicking on it because today we are breaking down the best pick in every round of your fantasy draft. These are the picks that are going to help win you your league. And if you're not familiar, I'm Salvetra. I've helped over 10,000 people win their league the last few years alone. And I plan to do the same for you with this video.
Now, let's start right away in round one. This is ADP. This is a list of ADP courtesy of Fantasy Pros, average draft position. And I want to single out Justin Jefferson. Now, of course, in round one, it would be easy to say, "Oh, Bijan Robinson or J'Vontez Gibbs or Ja'Marr Chase, they're the best pick in fantasy drafts." Let's be real here. If I say Bijan Robinson, who's going to be the number one or number two pick in almost every fantasy draft? Most of you, the far majority of you, 80 to 90% of you, won't even have a chance to draft him. So, instead, I'm going to pick a player that realistically most people will be able to draft and I think is actually the best overall value in round one of drafts. And that is Justin Jefferson.
Justin Jefferson, who as you know is coming off of arguably probably is the worst year, the worst healthy year of his NFL career, still went for a thousand yards, still earned 141 targets, right? I mean, this guy was going out there with terrible quarterback play and putting up once again an elite level. Anything above 27 to 30%, which he did last year, target share is elite. He did that top 10 in the NFL once again. His problem was J.J. McCarthy didn't pan out. Carson Wentz was okay for a couple of weeks. The only hundred-yard game Justin Jefferson had last year was with Carson Wentz, but then he had surgery. Max Borger, terrible, right? This was a bad situation for Jefferson. I mean, you can see that right here on the road of his game split stools in the final six games of Jefferson's season, and I'm not counting week 18 where they force-fed him to get him to a thousand yards. But those six games before that, just 6.6 fantasy points per game. It was torture. Six targets per game, 33 receiving yards per game. As somebody who had Justin Jefferson in the league, you couldn't bench Justin Jefferson. Like, who else did you have at that point, especially with crazy byweeks? And he was going out there and getting you six points a game. It was brutal.
But it shouldn't be that way this year. It doesn't have to be that way. Everybody, let's hold hands. Come together because we have the savior in Kyler Murray. Obviously, I'm kidding. But honestly, Kyler Murray is actually a big upgrade from last year. You might not like Kyler Murray. You might think he's too short. You might think he's not accurate. You might think he runs around too much. All those things are probably true. However, this dude is a massive upgrade from the quarterback situation that Justin Jefferson had last year. Look, he was hurt last season, but if we look at and also he got benched because of like contract reasons. They didn't want him to get hurt for potential trade value. But the year before that, 2024, 17 games where I would argue he didn't even play that great, he still completed nearly 70% of his passes. He had over 3,800 passing yards, right? He threw 541 times. I think that Kyler Murray in a Kevin O'Connell offense, which every single quarterback, not named J.J. McCarthy and Max Borger, they might not be good, has done well in a Kevin O'Connell offense, I think Kyler Murray will be fine. I don't think he'll be a top five quarterback in real life, but if he's top 20, that's good enough for Justin Jefferson. Also worth noting that Jefferson's target competition is basically the same. Like you subtract out, um, you subtract out a Jaylen Aaylor for Jauan Jennings and it's basically the same. T.J. Hockenson who's getting older, Jordan Addison who still hasn't broken out because he's playing next to Justin Jefferson, but he's a fine number two. I'm not concerned about Jefferson. I'm expecting another 150 targets or so for Justin Jefferson this year. Like the only downside in my opinion outside of injury, which is of course the case for every player in the NFL, would be if Kyler Murray just flat out stinks and he's falling apart.
Now let's move to round two. And I want to single out honestly in this range round two is loaded, especially late round two. But like if you wanted to say Amari Cooper was your favorite guy, Kenneth Walker, go to the wide receiver position with Drake London. I wouldn't tell you that you're wrong. These are all very strong picks. Round two in my opinion this year is loaded. Even if you start to go up a little bit more, there's the Brock Bowers names. There's a big discount on Saquon Barkley who went in the early first round last year, right? So I'm not going to discount, I'm not going to say that you made a terrible pick on any of these guys. I think they're all really solid. This is like the only round in my opinion where everything looks really good is round two. But I'm going to single out Chase Brown. First off, he's going in late round two. He provides you some nice value. And this is a guy in Chase Brown who's coming off of a year where he ranked top five in weighted opportunity shares. So in terms of like how important his overall touches were, this is a stat courtesy of Player Profiler, overall like how important his touches were in terms of red zones, in terms of targets, those cheat code target uh touches for fantasy football that lead to big scoring outcomes, receptions, targets, and touchdowns in red zone, right? Top five in that category. This is a guy who now once again, just like he did the season before that when he broke out for a top 15 finish, back-to-back years of 11 touchdowns, back-to-back years of basically 16 points, and last year a career-high 16.6 points, was a top 10 running back. And that's factoring in that if you remember, if you were a Chase Brown owner, right, in your fantasy leagues, like I had him in some of mine, first month of the season was brutal. Joe Burrow was not doing well, then Joe Burrow gets hurt. It was brutal.
Oh my goodness, my dog just scared the out of me. The door is open and nobody's home. This puppy who's 6 months old just learned how to open the door. I almost had a heart attack live on camera. Thankfully, it's just a puppy. Very sweet puppy, by the way. Anyways, let's get back to the video here. Chase Brown, the final 10 games of the year when Joe Flacco took over, when Joe Burrow got healthy. Maybe the best running back in football, arguably up there with Christian McCaffrey and Jonathan Taylor from a fantasy point per game perspective. Those final 10 weeks, 21.2 points per game, was a top five running back. Between his rushing and receiving yards, had over a hundred 100 total yards per game. He did the exact same thing in 2024. If you remember 2024, Zack Moss gets hurt. The final eight games of the year, Chase Brown's going for over 100 total yards per game. He's a borderline top five running back. Like this guy is legit good. He did it back in college at Illinois. Took on big workloads. He's good. And the craziest thing is like his competition hasn't changed. Most backfields will at least draft a running back in the later rounds. Not the Cincinnati Bengals. They also didn't sign one in free agency. They're just running it back with Samaje Perine who signed with the team right before the season after getting cut by the Kansas City Chiefs last year. They're running it back with Taj Brooks who maybe takes on a larger role this year, um, as he hasn't really gotten much run in the NFL but a younger player. But for the most part, it's going to be the Chase Brown show once again. Now, there's always the case that a James Conner gets cut from the Arizona Cardinals or some running back gets cut and the Bengals pick him up just like with Samaje Perine last year, right? Getting cut from the Chiefs. So, there's always that case and it could be a little bit sketchy, but overall Chase Brown is lined up for yet again in my opinion another big year. I think he's a great pick in round two.
Now, let's jump to round three. Uh, now this is maybe a little bit cheating because I'm going to be singling out DeVonta Smith who basically like be earlier today, yesterday, he was going in round three with the last pick in round three. Now, he goes 38th overall. So, it's like end of round three, early round four. Let's just for the purpose of this video, we're going to say he's a third round pick. He's basically been a third round pick all summer. And by the time that you're watching this, odds are A.J. Brown has been traded away. And then DeVonta Smith is going to shoot shoot shoot up a little bit just based off that news into the third round. In my opinion, DeVonta Smith is one of the best picks in fantasy football as of right now this year. I mean, the dude playing next to A.J. Brown the past couple of seasons is still putting up 1,000 yards in three out of the last four years. The only season he didn't reach 1,000 yards, he was dealing with injuries. He only had 11 fully healthy games that season and he actually missed four games total. So, he would have easily went for a thousand yards yet again that year. Now, he's set up to be the team's number one wide receiver with A.J. Brown walking out the door for the first time since basically his rookie year or arguably ever. You can see this stat from Eagles Time over on Twitter. He says DeVonta Smith since 2022 as the wide receiver two in the Eagles behind A.J. Brown, right? He's been during that time 11th in the NFL in receiving yards, 13th in receptions, 14th in receiving touchdowns, and top 10 in 20 plus uh 25 plus yard receiving games, air yard games, right? So, the guy is just absolutely fantastic. This is a player who is operating as a wide receiver two and the Eagles the past four years when he's really a wide receiver one. We know that. He proved it during his time at Alabama against the toughest competition. He was a Heisman winner. He was the Eagles all-time leader in rookie receiving yards. Like, this guy is a stud.
NOW, BY THE TIME THAT YOU'RE watching this, I'm recording this a couple of days before June 1st because I'm prepping out some videos because I'm going on vacation. Yay me. But anyways, okay. Look, the odds are that you're going to be getting A.J. Brown. We pull up this Adam Schefter tweet. Traded after June 1st, likely to the Patriots. There's a bunch of smoke and fire about this. It probably happens right away. Uh, hopefully it's already happened by the time you're watching this. Otherwise, it's probably going to happen pretty soon. So, this guy's going to line up to be the wide receiver one. We've already had a lot of people in the Eagles organization believing that DeVonta Smith can have a similar jump in production that JSN had last year once A.J. Brown is traded. If you remember, JSN broke out last year because he's talented, of course, but also he got Clint Kubiak, a new offensive coordinator. All this stuff matters, but D.K. Metcalf was gone, traded to the Steelers. Tyler Lockett was released, right? So, everything starts to look a lot better for JSN in terms of target share. Same thing is happening there with DeVonta Smith right now because yes, the team traded for D'Andre Swift, a good Packers wide receiver, a solid depth receiver the past couple years. Yes, they drafted a first-rounder Maalik Murphy, who I I think is arguably the best wide receiver in this year's NFL draft. But these guys, even combined, at least in their year one with the Eagles, especially Maalik Murphy as a rookie, they're not going to combine what A.J. Brown has done these past couple of seasons. A.J. Brown, who over these past couple of seasons to be exact, is averaging over 130 targets per game as an Eagle. Is averaging over, 200 receiving yards per game. And that's also factoring in last year where he clearly didn't want to be there. He was disgruntled. The offense sunk. He was still on average putting up those massive numbers. Now, there is a new offensive coordinator in Sean Mannion, a former coach. He's never been a coordinator before, so we have no idea how he's going to call the offense, but based on the fact that the Eagles drafted Maalik Murphy, slot wide receiver, second round, Eli Stewart's tight end, who's basically a big slot wide receiver, maybe they're going to use more middle of the field production, which has been lacking over the past three or four years in Philadelphia. So, I'm very high on DeVonta Smith, at least right now in the process of this offseason. Also, over the last two years and three games without A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith averages almost 10 targets per game. So, that's all great. That's all dandy.
Now, before we keep going, I've got something to tell you because I've teamed up with DraftKings, and you're going to want to hear this because they just dropped the biggest fantasy football contest in the history of the sport. We are talking about a $20 million best ball prize pool where three different people are going to walk away millionaires this year. Now, look, if you've never played best ball, no worries. Here's what you need to know. You draft your team one time and that's it. No setting lineups, no waiver wire, no Sunday morning panicking. Your top scores automatically count every week. You're basically getting a fun sweat all season long with your team and players without having to lift a finger or do any work after the draft. Now, here's the part you don't want to miss. DraftKings is running a draft one get one offer right now. All customers enter a lineup into the $20 million best ball headliner contest for $25 and get a bonus ticket for a second entry. That basically means you have two shots at your share of $20 million and maybe being one of those three people who will become a millionaire. So, all you have to do now is download the DraftKings app, sign up with promo code SAL, and get your lineups in before the season kicks off in partnership with DraftKings. The crown is yours.
All right, now let's go to round four. I'm going to go to another wide receiver, number one receiver on his team, a target hog, a target earner in Garrett Wilson. Garrett Wilson in all three of his healthy seasons, despite having terrible quarterback play, topped a thousand yards, despite dealing with a very good Davante Adams a couple of years ago, who was getting targets left and right from Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson still had a good year for over 1,000 yards. And that continued last year before his injuries, right? In those five games when he was actually healthy to start the season, was one of the best receivers in fantasy football, over 19 points per game, 9.6 targets per game, was number two in the NFL during this time in target share at 34%. He was an absolute beast. The problem for Garrett Wilson was the injuries, and also the problem his entire career has been terrible Jets quarterback play. Last year overall, because Garrett Wilson was hurt, because there was nothing else out there, the Jets ranked dead last in passing yards by almost 500 yards less than anybody else in the NFL. Why did this happen? Outside of Garrett Wilson's injury and some like, you know, somewhat in-depth coaching staff, these guys right here, last year's quarterbacks, boy is this rough. Brady Cook for four games. Tyrod Taylor in the big year 2025, that's not great. Justin Fields for nine games, didn't pan out and got benched and his GM was saying terrible things about him, right? The owner was saying terrible things about him in 2024. Aaron Rodgers, that was solid. That was stable despite it not being a prime Aaron Rodgers. The year before that though, the two years before that for Garrett Wilson, Mike White, Zach Wilson, Trevor Siemian, Tim Boyle, you remember those two games? Brutal situations.
However, now Garrett Wilson is walking into a situation where it looks like Geno Smith, who's going to be the quarterback this year. The Jets traded for him. That's how much they wanted him despite the past history in New York. Uh, it looks like that this is going to be the best quarterback Geno Smith has ever played with. I will give you that two years ago Aaron Rodgers is up there. But at the end of the day, I think it's very similar here in terms of like just the time of their career that they're in. Like Geno Smith compared to Rodgers two years ago. Like say what you want about Geno, but he's still 35 years old. Like he's not a washed-up quarterback. And yeah, people will point to last year the interceptions were higher, the efficiency was down, but that was in a terrible Raiders offense. Like everything there has changed. The coaching staff, the quarterbacks, like everything's changed. That's how bad it was over there. But before that, go 70% completion percentage, 4,000 plus yards in two of his previous years. I think he's a stable enough quarterback to make Garrett Wilson have a solid season. And also Garrett Wilson, like you're talking about target competition. I mean, I like Adonai Mitchell, former second-round pick with the Colts, should have been a first-rounder out of Texas. I like him. Like he could be fine on the outside. He's not a massive target threat, right? After that, you're looking at rookies like Xavier Worthy, who they traded up for in the first round. Mostly a slot weapon, can play the outside. We saw that the year before in 2024 in Indiana. But overall, like I'm not concerned like Kenyan Drake, 16th overall. He might be able to be productive. I don't see like a Tyler Warren 15 target season out of him. I think you're going to once again get a Garrett Wilson who goes out there and does what Garrett Wilson does when he's healthy. This guy is just an absolute target hog. 153 targets playing next to Davante Adams. 168, 147. We're getting another big Garrett Wilson year. And instead of having to pay a second or third round price tag, you get him in round four or maybe five.
Now, speaking of round five, let's talk about Terry McLaurin. He goes at the end of round five, sometimes beginning of round six. He's somebody that I'm targeting heavy in round five. And this is not normally like me, right? Like Terry McLaurin is a 30-year-old wide receiver coming off of a terrible year, just 11 points per game, was 33rd overall at the position, only three touchdowns. But obviously, we have to point out the fact that the dude didn't play any real games. He had a contract holdout which limited him to start the season, and he gets hurt right away. He only plays in 10 games last season. And overall, that quad injury really limited him. He had that injury in week three. He misses six games. He's on the injury report for over eight weeks. And once he starts to come back, oh yeah, his quarterback Jayden Daniels is dealing with not one, not two, but three separate injuries. So overall, for Jaden Daniels and Terry McLaurin, both being healthy last year was like two full games for the Commanders. It was gross. But despite this, he was still earning a good amount of target share. He was had a 23% target share, 30% in the red zone because he didn't have much competition when Curtis Samuel was banged up at times. In terms of yards per route run and first downs per route run, top five in first downs per route run, 13th in yards per route run. So you were getting a Terry McLaurin who despite being nearly his age 30 season, was still very solid last year.
And now you look at what the Commanders did this offseason from the team changes tracker inside the fantasy blueprint. You can check it out at joinblueprint.com. Available right now. By the way, the fantasy blueprint, we'll link it up right here. joinblueprint.com available right now. The price goes up. All the tools that I use to help me win 75% of my leagues, including the Flock League last year. 10,000 other people are currently using. Maybe your league mates are all those tools inside the fantasy blueprint, they're currently at the cheapest price they will be all summer and that's going to go up June 8th on Monday. So, be sure to take advantage right now. But now back to the program. You can see right here like a lot changed this offseason. Curtis Samuel is gone. Zach Ertz is gone. That's over 130 targets up for grabs. Okay, who do they bring in to replace them? Cole Kmet replaces Zach Ertz. That could be a one for one. But in terms of Curtis Samuel, Van Jefferson, Dyami Brown, Antonio Williams in the third round. I like Antonio Williams in the third round, but he's a third-round rookie, right? Mostly a slot receiver. Terry McLaurin is already going to see a lot of targets in this offense. 2024 with Jaden Daniels and not a lot lot of target competition. He had 13 touchdowns, second most in the NFL. He's going to see a lot of targets in this offense. Overall, in terms of vacated targets, this is from 4for4. There are 100 or 222 targets now vacated from last year's offense. So that's the third most in the NFL. That's 52.4% 4% of their targets, second most in the NFL, the Commanders have to replace. And in terms of air yards, 48% of their downfield targets and air yards they have to replace. A lot of this is going to go to one Terry McLaurin because that target competition right now it looks like on paper pretty weak. Jaylen Lane, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Luke McCaffrey coming off of a rookie year where he was banged up. Antonio Williams, the rookie we talked about, a journeyman in Van Jefferson, Dyami Brown, like they might add another receiver to this room. Brandon Aiyuk, there's rumors he played with Jaden Daniels during their time at Arizona State. Brandon Aiyuk, he's going to be a 49er probably until September 1st. They'll probably cut him after September 1st, meaning he'll have limited reps if he actually signed with the Commanders. And even if he did sign with the Commanders, which is not a guarantee, Brandon Aiyuk hasn't played football in over 18 months. Brandon Aiyuk, everything we've seen about him has just been like not the greatest news. I'm not going to call it like all field issues. It's not that by any means, but it's like not the greatest situations that we're seeing about Brandon Aiyuk. He also stood up completely as previous employer. So maybe he's not gonna be this like ultra reliable guy in fantasy football. This is not 2023 Brandon Aiyuk. I would say that he's probably not in the prime of his career anymore.
Now, there is also talk that Stefon Diggs could join this wide receiver room. In my opinion, that would be a bigger threat to Terry McLaurin's targets and target share compared to a Brandon Aiyuk, but still, it's like a 33-year-old Stefon Diggs at this point. I'm not concerned. We're also seeing a lot of good things out of new offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore. He's saying that he wants to feed Terry McLaurin 10 targets per game this year. His career high would be 8.9 in 2020. I mean, I could see that happening based on this current target competition. He also said that this year's offense, it's going to be built around uh Terry McLaurin getting 10 targets per game once again. So, this all feels very good for McLaurin. I see McLaurin as a very strong fifth-round pick. If he falls into the sixth round, it's hard not to like him. I get it. He's going to turn 31 this season. He's coming off of a down year with a quad injury. Everything checks out for him this year. Him and Jaden Daniels. It's a big if if they could stay healthy.
And speaking of Jaden Daniels, round six, like these guys go so close. Look at this. They're currently going two picks apart. They're both going like on the edge of round five and six. For the purposes of this video, and by the time when I was prepping this video, Jaden Daniels was going in round six. So Jaden Daniels, if he's going in round six, like it's not even like a stacking thing. Like obviously best ball drafts in some tournaments, you want to stack, meaning get the quarterback with their wide receiver, so when the quarterback goes off, the wide receiver's probably going off and vice versa. That's really not all that important in season-long drafts where you're competing against like 9 to 11 other people. But it's still cool to have them together, get those double points when it does click. Jaden Daniels, obviously last year was limited by injury, only seven games played. This was a guy who was going out there and just dealing with every possible injury. First off, he lost his wide receiver one by week three. That's not going to help you out. And then after that, what do you get? Dislocated elbow in week nine. We or actually, let's start at the beginning of the year. A knee sprain in week two, right? So, these guys were only really healthy together for one basically week. Then in uh the hamstring injury in week seven, dislocated elbow in week nine. He's really never healthy. He's playing through injuries from week two on. If you had Jaden Daniels in week one, you felt good. After that, he was never healthy again. And for the majority of that time, also didn't have Terry McLaurin. Let's not forget the rookie year where he was literally an MVP candidate, right? He finished top five overall in uh fantasy points per game. Between his 25 passing touchdowns and six rushing touchdowns, though almost 900 rushing yards, the dude was averaging 21 and a half fantasy points per game. Let's also not forget during the final five games of that season was going for 32 fantasy points per game. And between his rushing and passing yards, over 310 total yards per game. He was a monster. His injuries derailed him in year two, but now he's healthy entering year three. But all of a sudden, everybody is forgetting this and instead of Jaden Daniels going where he should be going in like round three or round four next to the Joe Burrows and in my opinion ahead of the Joe Burrows, he's falling to like the fifth, end of the fifth and sixth round right now. He's the best value quarterback in all of fantasy football. If you start your draft with like one or two running backs, one or two or three wide receivers, then you get Jaden Daniels. That feels really good. You're getting a league-winning quarterback who has the ceiling. We saw it in his rookie year. If anything Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson could do, you're getting him like four rounds later. And then of course it only gets better if these types of names like Stefon Diggs joins the wide receiver room. I'm not the biggest fan of Brandon Aiyuk, but if he joins the wide receiver room, we have to at least admit that Brandon Aiyuk probably has a bigger ceiling than Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jaylen Lane. I actually think Dyami Brown's a starter on this team. Like as it currently stands, it's Terry McLaurin on the outside, Dyami Brown on the outside in my opinion, and then some combination in camp battle of Luke McCaffrey versus Antonio Williams in the slot. So that's how I kind of see it going right now. Obviously great news for Terry McLaurin if that plays out. But Jaden Daniels rushing upside having a clear number one check-in at tight end who I think is talented enough and we saw what uh Jaden Daniels did. Whoops. We saw what Jaden Daniels did with Zach Ertz. I think this is enough for Daniels in round six to pay off for you.
Now we go to round seven and this one is going to feel gross, but I have to call out Tony Pollard here. Look, Tony Pollard, he goes in round eight sometimes. I don't really like getting these older running backs, right? You look at Tony Pollard, he's currently, as it stands right now heading into this year going to be 29 years old. That doesn't feel great for a guy who's never been like the most dynamic or explosive player outside of maybe his first year or two in the NFL with the Cowboys. But you quietly look up and although he hasn't been the most efficient running back, teams just trust him. Three straight seasons of a thousand rushing yards and at least 240 carries. You look at what he did to end last year in a Titans offense that started to come on down the stretch as Will Levis got his legs under him and Chig Okonkwo was breaking out a little bit and Treylon Burks was having nice games. You had Tony Pollard in those five games between his rushing yards and receiving yards 107 total yards per game. So that was a nice way to end the season. Now he gets his a new offensive coordinator in Brian Callahan out there who with the Giants last year ranked number two in the NFL in rush attempts per game whether it's been with the Giants or with the Bills as a play caller in real life and might not have panned out with the Giants, but as a play caller, he's always created fantasy friendly environments. And now heading into this year, Tony Pollard has no new running back competition, which was surprising because the Titans seemed like they wanted Jeremiah Love. They got sniped by the Cardinals one pick before in the NFL draft. So, the Titans ended up drafting only a running back in the fifth round and Nick Singleton, who I do think has some juice and upside and will compete for the RB2 job. Um, but this is definitely Tony Pollard's job. Terms of free agency. No running backs were brought in. So, this looks like an offense where Tony Pollard is going to have every opportunity to break out. He's playing next to Tyjae Spears. Both these guys are in contract years. Not that concerned about Spears. I think Spears is probably going to compete with Nick Singleton, a guy who's had some massive college seasons um outside of 2025 when Penn State kind of fell apart. Drew Allar, their quarterback, got hurt. Uh, James Franklin got fired and everybody kind of lost motivation for the most part. But despite all that, it just goes to show you that Tony Pollard, not much competition. The offense should actually get better. They drafted Cornell Tate. They signed Treylon Burks. They had Brian Callahan calling plays. Will Levis in year two. That should all help Tony Pollard's floor and ceiling from like a touchdown perspective. So, give me Tony Pollard here.
Now, before we get into the next player, I just want to let you know about my top 50 overall rankings. They're completely free for you to get right now. If you want to dominate your fantasy drafts with these top 50 overall rankings, most people uh mess up the first five rounds of their drafts as it says right here and this tool will make sure that you don't. Make sure to use it.
Now, let's go to round eight where you can kind of have your pick of either of these receivers that you really want here. Like, I think Jakobi Myers is solid. We're going to talk about him. Jayden Reed's here. Ricky Pearsall who falls into round nine often is here. But let's just talk about Jakobi Myers. Now, I could easily plug in Ricky Pearsall here. I think he's also a solid bet in this range. But for Jakobi Myers specifically, you're going to look at his stats from last year and you're going to say, "Yeah, I mean, a solid Jakobi Myers year. 110 targets, 75 catches, 835 receiving yards. That basically sounds like a Jakobi Myers year his entire career." However, we have to point to specifically when he got traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars because those final games of the year from week 12 to week 18, he was the number one option for Trevor Lawrence in those seven games, 13 fantasy points per game, 7.4 targets per game. He was catching touchdowns. His 24% target share was tied with Parker Washington for the lead high on this team. So, Jakobi Myers, as reliable as they come, has like one drop pass the last two years. Coaches trust him, especially in the middle of the field. And Trevor Lawrence definitely trusted him. Jakobi Myers was a really big reason for the Trevor Lawrence breakout. Trevor Lawrence started to break out towards the end of the season. Had a career year in his first year with coach Doug Pederson, 20.6 fantasy points per game. We could expect a lot of upside from this combination in my opinion. Now, Jakobi Myers is going to have a lot of competition. You still have Brian Thomas Jr. there. We know he has that upside from his rookie year in 2024 despite it being a different coach and quarterback with M. Jones during that span when Trevor Lawrence was hurt, but he's still out there. He has a lot of upside. Parker Washington broke out last year, the final 10 games of his season. He looked really good as well, averaging over 14 fantasy points per game. You're gonna have also Travis Hunter uh in in the mix as well at wide receiver. You're gonna have the tight end Brenden Strange. So, there's a lot of mouths to feed quote unquote here. But, it's not like Jakobi Myers is around four or five wide receiver. He's going around eight to nine. So, for an eighth to ninth round pick, like if he can just go out there and replicate what he did last year, but score a couple more touchdowns. Like, if you're getting Jakobi Myers going out there, this 11 points per game basically just changes to like a five or six touchdown season if he's with Jacksonville all year. And now you're getting 13 points per game, which is all that he averaged last year with Jacksonville. It's not anything crazy. He literally did it last year. Round eight to nine for 13 fantasy points per game. That's a steal.
Speaking of round nine, the guy that I'm currently targeting in round nine, according to best ball drafts on DraftKings right now, is Sam LaPorta. Now, I do think he's going to move up draft boards. I think people have a little bit of fatigue with Sam LaPorta. The last two years, like obviously tons of hype as a rookie. Last two years, it's cooled off, but then you look up and this is still a tight end who every single year of his career has been a top eight fantasy tight end. Has it always been pretty? No. Was it ever as good as his first year as rookie or when Jameson Williams wasn't involved that much? No. Like Ben Johnson is now gone. But Sam LaPorta put up 12 fantasy points per game last year despite having a career-low three touchdowns. And it wasn't just a career-low three touchdowns, 10 touchdowns his rookie year, seven touchdowns his second year, three touchdowns last year. Like it's probably for a big-bodied tight end and an offense that is going to move the ball, he's probably going to have five plus touchdowns this year, which means that on similar production to last year when he's seeing, you know, this is on a per game basis, so he was banged up, but he only played in nine games, 49 targets. So he's seeing somewhere around five to six targets per game, which is basically what he saw the year before as well. If you're getting five to six targets per game, scoring five to seven touchdowns, you're going to always be a top 10 tight end in the NFL. Most likely top 10 from a fantasy perspective. Now everything about Sam LaPorta is kind of boring because it's the same quarterback. It's the same coach. It's the same target competition. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams. The only difference is like Khalif Raymond has gone replaced with Jameson Williams who's a big body receiver. Maybe they'll put somebody else in that role. It's yet to be seen, but this is probably what your three wide receiver sets are going to look like. And maybe maybe we start to just get a healthy Sam LaPorta. If Sam LaPorta from last year is healthy all season, you're going to get 12 to 13 fantasy points per game. Those types of tight ends usually go in like round six through eight. He's currently going in round nine.
Now, let's jump to round 10. There's a lot of guys out here that you could pick from. Um, I'm going to personally go with Michael Pittman. I think Michael Pittman in the wide receiver position specifically is so loaded this year. If you can take running backs early, I know in this video I said Justin Jefferson was the value in round one in that specific pocket of the draft. If we just pull this up quickly and that specific pocket like where it's you're choosing between Amon-Ra, Jefferson, Lamb, James Cook, and A.J. Brown, I like Jefferson. But if you can get Jonathan Taylor or McCaffrey, take them. If you have like a 12th overall pick, go with the Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown type builds, right? James Cook type builds if Jefferson's already gone. Overall though, like wide receivers, they're so deep. You're getting Michael Pittman in round 10 of fantasy drafts this year. I get it. He's on a new team. Um, he hasn't been all amazing the last couple years, but he still earned 111 targets in back-to-back years, right? Uh, this is be removed from his 2023 breakout 156 targets where the year after that he was like a third-round fantasy pick. But the most important part of this is he's still not like washed. This is like a 20-year-old wide receiver and he's in an Aaron Rodgers offense. We now have confirmation that Aaron Rodgers is is the starter for the Steelers this year and who did Aaron Rodgers target last year? Second on the team in targets for the Steelers, Kenneth Gainwell 85 times and then uh also in the top six Jaylen Warren a running back 45 times. Aaron Rodgers targeted running backs 130 times last year. Insane. Just so much production to the tight ends, to the running backs, over 108 targets between the tight ends, Pat Freiermuth and Zach Gentry, not even factoring in Darnell Washington, a tight end for another 43. At this stage in his career, he's already come out and said it's the last year of his career in Rodgers. He's checking it down. He's not trying to take hits. If his first or second read isn't open, he's checking it down. But now, Kenneth Gainwell's now gone from this offense, right? You're getting Rico Dowdle nowhere near as good of a pass catcher as Kenneth Gainwell replacing him. So maybe there's a little bit more opportunity with Calvin Austin gone, who was third on the team in targets. Maybe there's more opportunity for the possession big-bodied receiver in Michael Pittman to earn a lot of targets and maybe even sneakily be the number one on this team ahead of D.K. Metcalf. You look at the target competition like it's going to be basically D.K. Metcalf. The tight ends, the running backs are going to get targeted from Aaron Rodgers as we just said. Metcalf's going to be solid. 99 targets last year. He's going to get a lot of downfield usage, but he's not necessarily going to get those short to intermediate targets that move the chain. That's what Michael Pittman has done his entire career, especially in the middle of the field. Hopefully, they can activate him here this year. After that is Roman Wilson. Hasn't panned out in the NFL just yet. Ben Scronick has been bounced around the league. They did get a second-round wide receiver in Jermaine Burton. I think he should start in three wide receiver sets next to Pittman and Metcalf right away. But overall, things are looking up very nicely for Michael Pittman this year in the 10th round. I honestly thought he would probably be like an eighth-round pick to start the year. You're a wide receiver two with wide receiver one upside at least in your offense. Um, in an offense that they're not going to throw the ball a lot, but Rodgers will sustain drives at least, right? It's not going to be pretty this year under Aaron Rodgers at this point in his career, but he can sustain drives. He's not J.J. McCarthy. So, there you go.
