Well, apparently you can make your own Nutella that's like healthier or whatever. People in the comments are saying, "No way this came from the ingredients she used," which I kind of get that cuz it does look like store-bought Nutella. But a guy can dream, right? Because I love Nutella. It' be really nice to have a more nutritious version.
Two cups hazelnuts roasted 400° for 8 minutes. Then you have to remove the skin. And that was a pain in the ass. It took forever and I still didn't do it perfectly. But I guess we go blend this.
Well, that took a while, but eventually I got my hazelnut butter. And then we're going to add 1/4 of a cup of cocoa powder. And then we need 3/4 of a cup of brown sugar. I know that is quite a bit. I thought about doing the zero-calorie brown sugar. It would probably work, but for the purpose of this video, I'm just going to do the regular stuff. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Just going to kind of eyeball it. And a/ teaspoon of salt.
Now, it also calls for a little bit of milk and oil. But we're supposed to blend this and then add those things to get our desired consistency. So, after adding less than the full amount it called for, it's pretty smooth. I probably could have added more to make it smoother, but I'm I'm happy with this. Oh, that's good. Dare I say this is even better than the store-bought version. It's so good.
Yes, it still has a bunch of sugar, and you could always use a sugar substitute. I might I might try that. Hey, me from the future. Tried it again with the sugar-free stuff. Didn't work. All the oil just kind of stayed separated, and I ended up with I don't know, a brick. So, maybe 50/50, but don't replace all the sugar.
Out of 10. Give back.
