Altar Workers Seminar with David Smith

Capital Community Church39:53

Transcription

We're gonna teach a little bit tonight on altar working, altar ministry, and felt like that's what we should be doing here, and getting ourselves, our minds, our bodies, our spirits prepared for the move of the Lord. Not just for this weekend, but until He comes. And I always say it, I don't change up a lot because Papa told me, "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it." That's what brother Ewan used to tell us. And so I, I take that, I take that word serious.

So I don't know everything. I tell, what, you go ahead and sit down. It's good. Yeah. All right. So I don't know everything about praying people through to the Holy Ghost, but I have seen a lot of people get the Holy Ghost. And, and I believe that the Lord can use anyone that is willing to be used. And I believe that anything can happen. But I want to say again, if I teach anything that goes against your pastor, when I leave here, you do exactly what they say. But as long as I'm here, we're gonna do it my way. Cuz I was also told, "Don't argue with the man with the mic." And so we're gonna have fun here.

All right, now you already know me, so y'all know I like to cut up a lot. If you're easily offended, if you'll come up right now, we'll pray for you and get that offense off of you, so you can enjoy the next 45 minutes or so. So we'll have the time of our life. So anyway, we might cry a little bit in a minute, we might shout a little bit, we might go home, and we might do anything. So we're gonna have fun.

All right, so I'm gonna teach this as if we're in the church, because most people don't want to pray with people or pray people through in the church. But this will work at your job, this will work at Tim Hortons, this is working your neighborhood, this will work at the grocery store, it'll work at Dairy Queen. I'm telling you, it'll work anywhere. Okay? But we're gonna teach it as if we were here in the church.

Probably the most important thing that you need in the altar when you're going to be an altar worker, besides the Lord Jesus Christ, is this right here. It's called breath spray. You need it. I'm telling you, you need it. Whether you know it or not, I promise you, you need it. And the reason being isn't because if your breath stinks and you're praying with people and they're, and they're doing like this, and you're thinking it's the Holy Ghost, it's really not. It's those onions that you've been eating, or garlic, or whatever you've been eating. So that's why you need this.

Rule number two is, if you're praying with somebody and their breath stinks, do not squirt this in their mouth, please. Because if you squirt it in their mouth, you could miss, hit them in the eye. Now they don't want the Holy Ghost, now they need a miracle, 'cause this Listerine stuff'll blind you. I'm telling you what I know. So here's the deal. So have fun.

All right, if you can't afford this kind, see Pastor Jack, he will buy you some. And are healed by the kind you like. Just so make sure your breath smells good. All right, so let's have fun with that. Here we go. First things first, some people, people come to the altar for several reasons. A lot of times, you can't assume why, you know, someone's come to the altar. All right, so people come to the altar for several reasons. Don't ever assume you know why someone comes. First of all, find out what their name is, tell them who your name is, and then ask them what they want from the Lord.

I, I'm a firm believer in the brother and sister, and that's okay for all of us. But I'm speaking now of people that doesn't come to church. It's nothing wrong with just sticking your hand out and said, "My name's David. What's your name?" "Well, my name's John." "Hey, John, what is it that you need from the Lord?" Because whatever that person needs from the Lord, that's what you need to pray about. They might need the Holy Ghost, but they might not the Holy Ghost.

All right, so people come to the altar for several reasons. All right, some come out of emotion, some come because the man of God asked everybody to come, some come because somebody drugged them down here, okay? Some come because they see the crowd coming to the front and they think, "Uh-huh, they gonna leave me back here by myself and offer me up for sacrifice. I'm going down there in the crowd, maybe I can get lost." So here we go.

So the people come to the altar for several reasons. The first step to somebody receiving the Holy Ghost, says they must believe. All right, what do they must believe? First of all, they're gonna have to believe that God is real. They're gonna have to believe that the Holy Ghost is real. And they're gonna have to believe that they can receive it. And you say, "Well, David, how are they gonna understand that God is real if we have church the way we supposed to have church?" They gonna know something going on in there that ain't going on at my church. If we worship the way we supposed to worship, when they begin to feel that, they don't know exactly what it is, but you can say, "Hey, that's the Holy Ghost that you're feeling. That's coming from the Almighty God." And then here we go.

Then you can explain to them about receiving the Holy Ghost. Because when they receive it, I promise you, I've never met a person that said, "I forgot when I got the Holy Ghost." It's okay to forget when you wear your park, you call it Walmart. It's okay to forget where you parked your car. But I'm telling you, it ain't okay to not know if you've been baptized right. It ain't okay to not know if you got the Holy Ghost or not. I've never met a person that says, "I, I can't remember receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost."

All right, so here we go. For somebody to receive it, it has to be their faith that responds to God. I'm going to just go ahead and be out front. I've been here before, so you know how I am. It doesn't matter who you are, it doesn't matter how many tongues you can talk in, it don't matter if you can shake your head and do just right. I'm telling you, none of that matters for people getting the gift of the Holy Ghost.

All right, God is the only person that can give someone the Holy Ghost. You cannot give anyone the Holy Ghost. So you say, "Well, David, so what is my part?" If you're gonna be an altar worker, here's the deal. You gonna have to be an instructor. If you're gonna work in this altar, you're gonna have to be the instructor in this altar. All right, now it's church folk here tonight. So here we go. If you're negative, don't come work the altar. If you're no prune, don't come work the altar. If you're one of them kind of says, "Well, it took me 15 years to get it, I hope you gonna get it," do me a favor, stay back there and let some crazy idiot broken altar and let them get the Holy Ghost. All right, that's somebody a little nuts to help them get the Holy Ghost. All right, 'cause I'm gonna tell you right now, it's not you that's gonna give him the Holy Ghost, it's Him. All these looking for us are no conduit to work through. Now, I know He can work without a conduit, but I promise you, it works sometime a little bit better when somebody else is praying with somebody.

You got to talk to people on how and why to repent. You don't got to go through the whole Bible, okay? You got to talk to people on how and why to repent. You got to talk to people on how and why to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. So you said, "Well, David, where should we start?" The best place to start is with repentance. All right, I've been to so many churches all around the world. As soon as people come to the front, people just jump on them, people get to pray, and you know what I'm talking about. You even bend in out down here praying, it somebody just comes and lays hands on you and starts praying. They and even ask you what you wanted. All right, so the deal is, ask them, find out what they want, and that's what you pray for. But you got to lead people into prayer, repentance.

Right now, if I said, "Church, let's all repent," everybody in here could repent. Here's why, we're professional repenters. If you're smart, you repent every day because you need it. I know some do, you think you are, but you're not. I'm just gonna go ahead and let the cat out of the bag. All right, you got to repent every day because we know if we do something wrong and we don't repent and get it right, and we're here, dude, know where we're going. That's how that works. That's how you like, "Oh, that's good." Y'all, y'all even called it there. You go, that's even better. All right, so we're professional repenters because we understand the purpose and the power in repentance.

All right, you got to stop people from begging God. Nowhere in the Bible can you find where they had to beg God. Nowhere in the Bible. And we'll touch some sacred cows in a minute. All right, and so here's what you got to do. You got to stop people from begging God. You got to always speak in faith. When I'm praying with somebody, I'm always saying "we" and "us" and I'm always saying, "God's gonna do something for us," or, "God's gonna touch us," or, "We're gonna talk to God." Because I don't want anyone coming through those doors feeling like I am better than they are. So I'm telling them, "We're gonna talk to God, we're gonna repent, God's gonna fill us with the Holy Ghost." And then when you're done praying with them, you know what I'm talking about. A while ago, Pastor said, "You know what? We're gonna pray about this situation." Do you notice he just kept praying? And you got to praying because you knew what the situation was.

When people start repenting, if they're coming from the world, they don't understand repentance like we do. So lead people in the prayer of repentance. It's not gonna hurt them. In fact, if it does anything, it's gonna help them. So then when you're, when you're praying, and when you're done praying, and you're done repenting, I tell that person, "God has forgiven us 100 percent." Because here's why, when you repent, God will forgive. When they repent, God will forgive. There's no unforgivable sin for a sinner.

All right, now, now I know when some people think, "Well, wait a minute, what about blaspheming?" Sinners can't blaspheme because sinners don't know God and the resurrection of His power. The only people that can blaspheme is apostolic, that's Holy Ghost filled people, people that's been baptized in Jesus' name and then to deny Him thereof. That's why sinners can cuss Him and get away with it. We think a bad thought and have a flat tire. Yeah, I mean, they use His name in vain and we just go like that, transmission goes up. Because they don't know Him like we know Him. I'm being upfront.

All right, so here we go. When you ask the Lord to forgive you, He forgives you of everything. All right, you tell Him, "I'm God, God, I'm giving myself a 100 percent to You." I might have told the story, I don't know, but I'll tell it 'cause we started a little early. So here we go. I was praying for a man, and you'd have to know this guy in town. I was in a small town, and it's where my wife is from. But anyway, this guy, everybody, he owes probably everybody in town. All right, yeah, I mean, he's just a deadbeat, that's just all they know the other way around it, okay? And so anyway, he comes to the church and he does get the Holy Ghost. It was powerful, man. The guy gets the Holy Ghost. And, and we walk outside, and he whips out his little pack of 20 cigarettes, Camels, that come with no filter, for all you smokers and non-smokers. And, and until he pulls him out of his pocket, and I just made a little joke and I said, "Hey, I used to smoke those." He goes, "I wasn't always in church." "He'll stop that." And so I said, "I used to smoke those." He says, "Do you want one?" I said, "No." So I'm trying to quit, being honest, trying to quit. There, you know? And so he starts typing one up there, and he starts saying a few choice words about getting the Holy Ghost 'cause he's brand new and he never had it, and it was so excited. Now, I won't say what he said because we'd have to bring oxygen out there. And so anyway, not from smoking either, but just from what he said. And then he's telling me, "In the far as that one down," and he gets another one out. He says, "Who?" He said, "What? You sure you don't want one?" I said, "No." So I'm really, I'm trying to quit. And so he smokes that one down, and he leaves. And so some other wise one from church comes up and says, "Thought he got the Holy Ghost." I said, "He did." They said, "Well, I just heard him saying all kind of..." I said, "He was..." He said, "But I thought he had the Holy Ghost." I said, "He did." He said, "I think y'all railroading him." I said, "We wasn't." I said, "He got the Holy Ghost, sir." I said, "He's brand new." I said, "You know the difference between him and you is, sir," I said, "He's brand new. He's a baby. He don't know no better." I said, "But that lap in tongue of yours, I said, that thing right there is what's gonna send you to hell." Hey, you go. So what are you suggesting? I said, "I'm suggesting not get down there and repent a little bit and get my spirit right." I said, "He's brand new. You ought to know better." Just 'cause they don't get it the way you think they ought to get it, don't mean they didn't get it. Just 'cause they don't talk in tongues for 45 minutes, don't mean they don't got the Holy Ghost.

All right, I'm just gonna tell somebody, when you move out of your known tongue into an unknown tongue, that is the evidence of the Holy Ghost. So here we go. So He gives them 100 percent. You tell them, "The Lord is just forgiving us of everything. Now you're ready to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Here we go. Receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. I like this place. I've been here enough, so I like it. But here's the deal. You don't have to hype people up for them to get the Holy Ghost. You don't have to cut off the lights for people to get the Holy Ghost. You don't have to have the fog machines rolling for people to get the Holy Ghost. Yeah, I know it's a miracle. Yeah, I was preaching one place before, but I won't say where. And you, you've been there. And, and I got ready to go to the altar and they shut the lights off. I thought the electricity went out. So I said, "Whoa, whoa, what went on?" Somebody come up behind me, I couldn't even see them. Huh? Like they're trying to sneak attack me or something. They go, "Brother Smith, we normally cut the lights off for the altar." I said, "Hey, God said I'm over the line out of the darkness. Cut him on." He says, "Brother, they're different. There's some kind of something filled, and it's gonna take a few minutes." I said, "I got all night. I'm scared of the dark. I sleep with a nightlight. Hello? Plus, I want to see who I'm praying for. Huh? Oh my God, I'm gonna come down, stomp your toe on the front pew. Next thing you know, they're cussing." So anyway, cut the lights on.

All right, here we go. You don't have to hype people up. All right, here's some, so here's what we're not gonna do. We're not gonna shake people. All right, if you got the shaking syndrome, go outside, shake a little bit, and then come on back in and act right. Okay? We're not gonna shake people. Y'all laughing 'cause some of y'all done been shook up before. Don't scream at people. That's why we don't have to have the Batman music playing when people are getting the Holy Ghost. You don't got to do none of that for people to get the Holy Ghost. I wish somebody's soul will catch on fire. I love them songs, but that don't help you get the Holy Ghost. So no Batman music. I mean, we already did the Batman music before. We're done to preach in my wall, that's to get everybody in the mold, you know who. All right, so don't shake people. Don't, don't scream at people. Don't come up behind them and rub them down. I've been in churches, I thought, "My God, I need to get refilled." Pay $75 for a back rub like that. Say, "Hey, right over here, come on. I'm trying to get other, but come on, hit me again. My God, it's awesome." I mean, people took, I mean, you know what I'm talking about. Don't sneak attack somebody while they got their eyes closed. You come up behind them and say, "You think it's the Holy Ghost? That ain't the Holy Ghost, you're just scared too far out of somebody." Yeah. So don't shake people. Don't grab on people. Don't rub on people. Don't rub the stomach. Ain't no genie. I go to one church, that's their culture. You know, they put the towels out, and then they put the gloves on, and then they get to rub their stomach. I'm like, "My God, they think with the genie house." That's not gonna help people get the Holy Ghost.

All right, when you're praying with somebody, do me a favor, keep your eyes open. Watch them. If you're praying with somebody and they're doing stuff like this, they probably not enjoying what you're doing. You know, everybody's not as excited about God as you are. Am I right? There's some folks don't know much about it. So I'll back up. Don't shake people. Don't scream at people. Don't holler at people. Don't grab on people. Don't shake on people. Don't do dirt to Clark dirt, that's not gonna help them get the Holy Ghost. Don't learn drilling dude like that, that's not gonna help him get the Holy Ghost. The Bible talks about neglect the gift, you know, does not click the gift of laying on of hands. I know that. But no, you don't have to beat people up for them to get the Holy Ghost.

All right, keep your eyes open. Anybody ever got beat up in the altar besides me? Come on, raise your hand. I mean, yeah, that's why y'all laughing. Look, about three quarters of the church. And some people get in self-defense. I mean, like, "I got, I mean, you're like begging God, give it to me, Lord, they about to break my neck." Yeah, "Give me a special tongue, Jesus." So do yourself a favor, keep your eyes open. Be sensitive. Watch their face. All right, speak in faith. Take control. Shield that person when you're praying from them, from other people that are not as sensitive in the Holy Ghost as they should be. Tell people what you're going to do. Y'all, we live in a world now, bored out. Y'all, that's a southern word. How're y'all? Y'all listen. We live in a world now that you don't know where people are coming from. I don't know where people are coming from. Man, there's death. I've told it here, I'll tell it again. Though I was at a church down in Louisiana, and the man kept telling me that his whole family was coming, his wife, the three boys, the sister-in-law, brother-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law. None of them were in church but him. And he says, "They're all coming. They've promised me they're all coming." So of course, he brings him to the front row, the most uncomfortable row. So he brings him there. Half the service, he keeps doing his head like that, like he's got a twitch or something. Finally, I go down and said, "Would you calm down? If God wants them to have it, they're gonna get it. Just leave him alone." So I'm preaching Holy Ghost time. We cruise down there, they're all right there. I've had everybody repent. And so I went to the, I said, "You want the Holy Ghost?" She said, "I do." So we prayed, and she got the Holy Ghost. Me, it's my brother-in-law, and a few others. And we pray for the son, and he gets the Holy Ghost. And the next son gets the Holy Ghost. And then he says, "This one got the Holy Ghost in there." And the sister-in-law got the Holy Ghost. And the brother-in-law got the Holy Ghost. And the mother-in-law got the Holy Ghost. You know, that's a miracle. And, and I get ready to lay hands on the father-in-law, and I said, "Sir, I'm gonna lay hands on you." He said, "I'm gonna knock you out." I said, "I just changed my mind." Because where we're from, we fight as we're turning the cheek, swing makes her something happen. "Sir?" "Yes, sir." And he said, "I'm gonna knock you out." I said, "I just changed my mind." I said, "You want the Holy Ghost?" He said, "I do." I said, "You want it now?" He said, "I do." I said, "You're gonna get it." He said, "Fine." I said, "Did you repent?" He said, "I did." I said, "Well, you wanted it." He goes, "Yeah." "I'll go right now." He goes, "Now?" I said, "Well, get it in Jesus' name." He said, "Wake up and just fell down talking in tongues." I'm like, "Oh my God, it worked." I said, "I even had to blow owning like Benny." I mean, I don't have to do my jacket or nothin'. I mean, he just went down. I'm like, "Oh my Lord, it just happened." So the guy gets up and grabs me, and I'm like, "Going..." and I said, "Hey, hey, what's going on?" And I said, "You're grabbing me." He said, "Yes." And I thought, "You didn't want me to touch you." He said, "You're not touching me, I'm touching you." I said, "What's going on?" He said, "I just got the Holy Ghost. I just spoke in tongues." I said, "Congratulations."

So the deal is, tell people what you're gonna do. Don't just go clapping hands on people. Tell them what you're gonna do. Speak in faith. "We're about to receive the Holy Ghost." Tell people, "Just start thanking the Lord for the Holy Ghost." I know Hallelujah is a beautiful word. I know Jesus is the most powerful name. But I like people just to say, "Thank you, Lord, for the Holy Ghost." Here's why, they're thanking God in advance for what's about to happen. They're thanking God in advance for what's about to happen. I tell people all the time, I know some people get a little bent out of shape about this one statement, but I'm a believer. It's happened thousands of times, and that's why I believe you're gonna hear it before you speak it. God being the creator of the body, the soul, the mind, you're gonna hear it, and when you hear it, you're gonna speak it. I don't put it in my seminar, but I'll go ahead and tell you, I know it's going all around the world, but I'm gonna just say, there's three reasons people don't get the Holy Ghost. They don't want it, or they don't know what it is, or they truly hadn't repented. There's no such thing as Tyrian. They did that on the day of Pentecost, and from that day forward, never again did they have to wait for the Holy Ghost. Am I right, brother Ward? Okay, so all that Tyrian, that's called flesh. Three reasons people don't get it: don't want it, don't know what it is, or truly hadn't repented.

All right, I tell people, "When you hear it, speak it." Now, I know this goes against some people's grain. I don't believe in railroading people. I don't believe in telling people they got the Holy Ghost. I know people that tell them when they don't get it, "You didn't get it. You were right there. If that his son send it on down one more time, you'd have probably talked in tongues." I've heard them. "If you take him out your pocket, lay them on the altar." Really? What ain't none of that. Bible said, "Repent." It didn't say, "Go clean up and come get the Holy Ghost." It said, "Just repent." Let God work all that out.

All right, I tell people, "I give you permission to receive the Holy Ghost." People say, "Who are you?" "I'm the man of God. You're the woman of God. You're the child of God. You have authority over the enemy." Here we go. When people are receiving the Holy Ghost, when they're doing it, anybody remember when you got the Holy Ghost? Huh? You wouldn't having some out-of-body experience. You didn't float off. He was right there. You was in your right mind when you got the Holy Ghost.

I tell people when they're getting it, while they're getting it, they're speaking in tongues. I say, "Hey, do you hear yourself speaking that heavenly language?" Where I come from, this means yes, and this means no. So if they do like that, I'll say, "Hey, congratulations. That's the evidence of the Holy Ghost." If my grandpa was here, he'd fall out right now 'cause that was his big deal. "Don't you tell people when they got the Holy Ghost." I said, "Way you tell them when they don't, 'You didn't get it. Hope you don't get hit by that train on the way home.'" We had a train track by the old church. That was always the favorite statement. "Hope that train don't come through." Oh yeah. Well, you're an encouragement. Can't wait to go back there. Wins the buddy. Come on back. Sticky tongue guy said, "I didn't get hit by a train and I'm still here." But I had a lot of people miss that train. But anyway.

All right, you got me. I mean, let's be real. The deal is, when they get the Holy Ghost, let them know. If they don't receive it, first thing you do is be sensitive. Ask people. I always ask people, "Hey, listen, can you feel the power of the Lord?" Some people don't even know what that is. Sometimes I'll just say, "Can't, can you feel this? Can you feel a presence? Do you feel something different?" "Yeah." Then I'll ask him, "Did, can you hear something maybe in your mind that you don't understand?" I've had that. "No." "I'm not talking hundreds, I'm telling you, I've had thousands of people say, 'Man, I'm hearing something in my mind. How do I get it out my mouth? I'm hearing something. How do I, how do I let that out?'" I tell them, "Come like a child. Quit trying to control everything. Just let go of your own emotions and your feeling and let God flow through you." That's just pretty simple instructions.

All right, and so the deal is, if you pray with somebody and they don't receive it, it's no big deal because we're not God. But, but if people will truly repent, okay, and people truly want the Holy Ghost, I'm telling you, they're gonna get it. I promise you. If somebody wants the Holy Ghost, it's going to happen. If I pray with him the first time and they don't get it, that's what I ask them, "Do you hear it?" If they say, "Yeah." I'll say, "Okay, we're gonna pray again." I've had some people say, "Man, preacher David, who had, I don't feel nothing." Then I repent again. You say, "Why?" Because some people come out of emotion, some come because the man of God asked you to come to the front, some come because the neighbor said, "Hey, go down there with me and pray," and some come because that's the way the crowd was moving. Okay? So the deal is, is that I repent again. I repeat the process. I repent again. I ask. All right, I ask them to repent with me again. If somebody don't receive the Holy Ghost, here's the deal, don't, don't pressure, don't try to place blame, don't try to figure out what's wrong because here's why, the worst day in our services is better than the best day they've ever been in their service. Because we're people of the name. I got friends that have the Holy Ghost, but they never spoke in tongues. You think I'm out the Bible? No. I'll show you how they get it. I didn't say it was right, I just said I'll show you how they get it. "Lord, I accept You as my personal Savior, come into my life." They think that's the Holy Ghost. But when you get to the word of the Lord, that's not receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. I tell my buddies all the time, "You got the Holy part now, you need the Ghost." Say, "You need to speak in tongues." I've had people tell me, "Well, I just don't have that gift." It's okay. Let's repent. It's coming. Because the Holy Ghost is real. Nobody can give it. Nobody can make it happen. It only comes from the Lord Jesus Christ. If they don't get it, I'm gonna say it again, don't try to place blame, encourage them, build their faith. Remember, you can't give anyone the Holy Ghost. You can't give anyone the Holy Ghost. It only comes from the Lord Jesus Christ.

I'ma show you. Just come help me. I'm gonna show you how I work in the altar. We got it. We got it. It's 8 o'clock. We got a few moments. Okay, I'm gonna show you how I work in the altar. All right, and we'll go as far as we need to go. But, but it's, it's simple. I know I've taught for 30, but it's simple. So someone comes to the front. We don't know what they want. But we want to pray for their standing. Now, remember, you need the Holy Ghost. Want to ask him. All right, okay. Are you ready? So here's how it goes. He comes down. Pastor's been preaching how the Lord's moving. He calls for the altar team. The altar team's up here. We're ready. So this young man comes to the front. Never met him. Don't know nothing about him. I don't go up and say, "Hello, I'm Brother Smith." Now understand, all that we do, but he ain't ever been here. You don't know nothing about all that brother and sister and all that stuff. So here we go. "Hey, my name is David. What's your name?" "Hey, Justin. Glad you came down here to the front." "Justin, what is it that you would like from the Lord?" "I'd like to get the Holy Ghost." "Or me? You needed every day. You need it. If you ain't talking in tongues, then every day you're probably in trouble." Got quite there. Almost heard of them mouse licking ice at the back of the church. You got quite there. I talk in tongues every day. Every day. Some days I even shout. Yeah, just to have fun. Nothing else to do. Kind of bored where I live. I just get out in the bone and just shout sometimes, scream, holler, just have fun. When you're out there, you can do what you want. I talk in tongues every day. Yeah, I've even wrote a plane a time or two. Thing got bad weather. Guys are talking and Tony. Hey, hey. Yeah, I was telling Pastor about one today. Yeah. So Justin, you want the Holy Ghost? Here we go. Me too. You know what? Would you repent with me? Okay? And then when we're done repenting, Justin, we're gonna receive that gift. Is that okay? All right, let's you and I repent. Okay? Say, "Lord, forgive me." Did you notice he bowed his head? Did I tell him to bow his head? I wonder why he bowed his head? Because I bowed my head. Say, "Leaders, whatever you do, they're gonna do." Most of the time, 99.9% of the time. But when I gave him to bow his head, I T, I picked my head up and start watching because I want to see the emotion. I want to see things begin to change as he talks to the Lord. See, you have the Holy Ghost. You've been baptized in Jesus' name. God's gonna use you as a conduit to get to Him. So here we go. Let's repent. Say, "Lord, I just talked to him about him, you know, and he did it again." Think about it. Way forgive me of everything that I've thought, that I've done, that I've said, and that I've heard. Forgive me, Lord, of things I don't even realize I have done. I give myself 100 percent to You, Lord. Thank You, Lord, for my miracle, for my deliverance, for my healing. Thank You, Lord, for filling me with the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. Thank You, Lord. Thank You for forgiving me." And I say, "Boy, just, I feel better." See, I don't put it on him because he's brand new. But when you truly repent, do you not feel different? When you truly repent, don't you feel better? But he's brand new. He thought at any given moment he was going to be offered up for sacrifice, the way we've been worshipping and running and shouting and bucking and snorting and screaming. Remember, it's his first time. Never been here. He's waiting on the snakes to come out. He's heard. He saw it on YouTube. That's why I came. Might have brought his own. Who knows? Anyway. Yeah, there you go. So he's ready. But I don't put it on him. I say, "Man, I feel better. How about you?" "Yeah." "I see. You know what? We're ready for the Holy Ghost." Then I'll say, "Sir, here's what we're gonna do. Let's just start thanking the Lord for the Holy Ghost." No, we won't do it. But he'll start thanking. And while he's thanking Him for the Holy Ghost, it's simple. I say, "Hey, sir, while you're thanking Him for the Holy Ghost, if it's okay, I'm gonna gently lay hands on you, and we're gonna receive that gift." Man, when he's saying, "Thank You, Lord, for the Holy Ghost," I just gently reach over. I'll say, "Lord, such as I have, I take authority. Lord, over the enemy. I said, God, I'm giving him permission to receive that gift." You say, "You giving him permission?" Yeah. Or taking authority over the enemy. I got news for you. We're all saved. And every time you get ready to worship, the enemy starts. Don't do that. You're gonna look like a hypocrite. Some people never shout because there's worried about what other folks gonna think. Some people never clap until somebody else starts. You ever noticed when people want to come to the front, everybody's looking around, finding out who's gonna move first? You ever noticed that? And then when one person moves, we're like little ants, we all take off. Is that amazing? And we're all saved. Whoa. So he starts thinking. I'm telling him. I start praying. He gets the Holy Ghost. I'm like, "Hey, sir, that's the Holy Ghost. You hear yourself speaking?" One time, I say, "Congratulations. Keep on. You just received the Holy Ghost." Let's back up. We pray, he don't get it. Piled the Lord's here though. And I'll say, "Hey, listen, do you hear that old language?" "Do you hear?" "No, no, no. I don't." Or he says, "Yeah, I hear. But who? What's making me nervous? I don't know how to get it out." I say, "Well, here's what we're gonna do. Let's just repent again." So we'll repent again, and then we'll start praying. I've had hundreds and hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds into the thousands receive the Holy Ghost the second time we pray because the first time could have been out of emotion, come because somebody asked them, come because the man of God asked people to come, or came down here because everybody else was coming and didn't want to be left in the back or in the middle. So then he receives it on the second time. Thanks. Doesn't be negative. You don't get it. No big deal. I'm not God. I mean, you're not God. Can't give nobody the Holy Ghost, can they? Make nobody get the Holy Ghost. So it's got to come from God. So if he don't get it, here's what you do. Don't be negative. Don't talk about the train. And here's what you say, "Man, I feel better." Because when you repent, you feel better. He's already said he felt better. I feel better. Just says, "Yeah, man, I feel better." I say, "And guess what, man? God's even got more of what He's done tonight." I've had people literally right there say, "You mean more than this right here?" I'm like, "Yep. He's got more." And I tell them, "Go home, talk to God about the Holy Ghost. Think about it. And when you get ready to get it, you're gonna get it." 'Cause remember, you can't give anybody the Holy Ghost. You can't give anybody the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost comes from the Lord. Nobody can give anybody the Holy Ghost.

All right, here's what we're gonna do. I've been here before, y'all know. So you might have a question, you might have a concern, you might have a situation that you've run up against. And I don't know all the answers. If y'all decide to ask me a question and I don't know the answer, we'll get with these two right here. We'll make up an answer, and then I'll come back and tell you, and that's the one we'll use. That's how that works. Mm-hmm. And that'll be the answer we used from their own for that question. So now, there's no such thing as a dumb question. No such thing as a crazy question. I know it's Wednesday night. I know we're doing things a little different. We're gonna come in a few moments and just pray. But, but here we go. We're gonna do that. But does anybody...
