All transits from Sun to Neptune are going to increase our psychological, um, and often times a physical sensitivity. Our boundary, our ego, with the difficult transits, can, uh, have a hard time maintaining itself because we always have a self and selflessness that's trying to come to some kind of either balance or, um, solution. When we mix those two planets, they, they don't have anything common. I mean, these, these planets are naturally inconjunct to each other with Leo and Pisces there. So, um, the Sun is fire, Neptune is water. The Sun is illumination, Neptune is fog. So these aren't the easiest days to feel a great amount of autonomy or, um, differentiation from others.
All right, we are not terribly practical or confrontational when we have the Sun conjunct to Neptune. We tend to have a week where we want to retreat or hide away. This is a great time for a vacation and to not take the world seriously, if you can manage that, because we have a hard time showing up. We have a hard time with, um, being practical, even getting things done, and we don't have much of an ego under this transit. It's very brief, it's just a few days, but don't, we don't feel separateness.
So, depending what's going on around this time, this could be helpful if we have to, say, uh, identify with somebody else very deeply or empathize with somebody very deeply in a, you know, a structured, healthy way. Oh, say we were like coming to the peak of some, you know, like couple's therapy or something, this would be a good week for us to make some breakthroughs there because we are more, more willing to, uh, to act out of compassion or out of the needs of another rather than what is self-selfish. So there can be benefits, um, if we are using this transit wisely.
We can also feel like we are lacking strength or reserves or resiliency on this day or the day surrounding this transit. It can feel like we just can't get along, we can't cope, we can't deal with life. And that's why I think it's a really good time for us to get away, literally, and to retreat and to go on vacation, to not have too much on our plate. Uh, we will still feel the effects of this. We aren't going to, we're not, we can't be Jonah in the whale when it comes to escaping transits, but we can put ourselves in a situation or a condition where that particular transit can express itself to the best, uh, that we can get it, or at least mitigate or, um, modify some of the worst potentials that can come from this, from a transit.
And with this one, you know, I think that if you build it into your year where this is the week you take off from work, this is the week you go on vacation, this is the week where you don't have too many expectations of yourself, then I think that we can get even more out of it because it does stimulate our awareness of what is more meaningful other than the daily grind, what really is worth pouring our, our, our solar power, our attention into. So I think we're more focused on what do we want to be doing rather than what we should be doing.
So when we have the Sun in the sextile to Neptune, we are able to better interpret what's going on around us without having our own ego or our own issues getting in the way. It's easier to just understand being said without somebody saying it. So our int, our intuitive awareness is very sharp, and, um, we want to give of ourselves, but not in a way that is self-defeating. We might actually do that at the conjunction. We can do some self-defeating or self-abandoning behaviors or some things that can, uh, not show us at our, again, our, our most boundary best. But at the sextile, we don't tend to have, uh, regrets about how much we've given or who we've helped. We're, uh, we're more in tune to, excuse me, who really needs our help, who really needs our attention. So there isn't a guilt or a mistake involved in it.
Uh, things having to do with volunteering, giving, uh, charity, offering of ourself, service, those things appeal to us. We get some amount of ego gratification out of that because that's what the Sun means, remember? All right, so we are asking some amount of, yeah, question about the, the everything. We're not all wrapped up in mystery when we have the sextile, but we do ponder. I think that we do wonder about death, we wonder about spirituality, we wonder about what's out there when we have these days. You know, some days you can be more occupied with the mysteries of life or death than other days. So that does tend to take up some of our time.
We do not have tremendous physical energy when we have any transits of the Sun to Neptune. Even the sextile, we will not have an abundance of solar power because of the diffusing, energy-leaking qualities of Neptune. And we're putting our energy more into service or giving or compassionate activity rather than selfish activity, things that serve ourself, not being so concerned with the, um, the routine of daily life. That's what sextiles mean. They're the qualities of Mercury and of the third house. So sextiles are very much about the everyday function of life and routines, and that's very much diffused. So even with the, uh, sextile, we are, um, we're more focused on the bigger things rather than the details.
All right, so that brings us to the square where we do not have a lot of energy. We can feel like this is a day we want to give up or we just wish that we didn't get out of bed. We can feel overwhelmed, very much overwhelmed by the drudgeries of life, the demands of life, the things we hear in the news, the negative, uh, happening that went on recently in our life. These are very disappointing days. We get a couple of these out of the year, and we can feel like we just want withdrawal. So we don't have a lot of reserves. We don't have a lot of mental, spiritual, emotional, physical reserves, and we don't want to get after ourselves too badly because we'll be back in just a few days. We'll be back, but it can really feel discouraging. It can feel like, oh, I'm just not capable of anything, and we have to really push through that in order to get some things done.
So we can feel diminished, we can feel unseen, we can feel piled upon. This is a more difficult day. It's best if we consider the big things in life rather than get hung up on the things, the little things that are going wrong. It's best to contemplate, know, the big mysteries. We can get a lot out of these days rather than trying to prove something by trying harder. I think just focusing on what's coming easy on these days is best, and that can often be contemplation and retreat. So if we're feeling discouraged, we need to, um, I think stop trying so hard and do what's coming easier on these particular days.
So that brings us to the Trine where we have a pretty good perspective on this day, um, this particular week when it comes to understanding who we are in relationship to the bigger picture, the meaning of it all. And I, I think we are asking big questions, but I don't, I don't think that it's, these are days that represent dissatisfaction. I think that we get some answers because we do have a really, uh, wise, balanced perspective. That's what trines really represent, is this really binocular vision between past and future and getting the best out of both. So, um, I think that we're looking at how happy am I? How spiritually fulfilled am I? Do I feel like I have the will, you know, the, the, the will to live? Because we've gone from very discouraged days, uh, when we have the hard aspects, to now the Trine where we actually have a pretty good understanding of, you know, what our place is in things. And I, I don't know that we're as afraid of the end when we're confidence regarding the end and, and regarding mystery on these particular days.
We're also more helpful. We are, um, we are experiencing the idealism of Neptune and the rose-color glasses, but it isn't something that is applied indiscriminately. It's, it's something that we are careful with, and we are, um, we have a pretty good amount of discernment. You know, discernment is always lacking when we have Neptune involved. That's always a challenge, or, or sometimes it's completely clear, depends on what side of Neptune you're, you're leaning on. But it's very interesting that, um, with the Trine, I don't think we have a lot of fear. You know, these are days where we just have a larger understanding about what may have happened to us throughout the year, what we've been through, and looking at things in less of an egoic perspective and just having an easier time understanding.
So that brings us to the opposition where we are confused as, oh, these are not the best days to, um, to try to make sense of things. We can make a mess of things, actually, if we have other hard aspects that are converging at the same time. We don't have a good perspective about what's what, and we can accuse people or others of things that may not be completely accurate. We lie to ourselves, um, a lot when we have the opposition. If we're not true to ourselves, we can't count on ourselves, and I think that that we know that on some level that we are very much at risk of telling ourselves what we want to hear in order to save ourselves, in our order to save our own image of ourselves, to escape humiliation. So, um, I don't know what to tell you. I mean, we're all getting messed up. I, we just do, we just do. I don't care how perfect you are, these are going to be days when your clarity is skewed, and we can expect to make some mistakes where we may have to apologize, if we can manage to, um.
We're showing our weakness. Others are seeing it in us. Others are seeing how we aren't keeping up our end of the deal, how we are being, you know, acting maybe out of shame. Uh, we aren't being straight or confrontational a lot of the time, and, um, we can humiliate ourselves by trying to avoid a responsibility or being fingered for something, uh, that we don't want to be associated with. Um, so sometimes we can have a real authentic connection, sometimes, and, and this is more in the private spaces of life, not all the time. Usually it's more in intimate relationships. We do have a chance to really empathize with another, to have the feeling of really being aware of another's experience and being able to understand what it might be like to be them. A soul union even, or a soulful connection can be brought to the surface on this day, around these days. There's a lot of beauty that can come out of it. There's some confusion too. I think most of us might, well, I, I know I traditionally get a little bit of both, if not airing heavily more on the confused side. Um, but watch what it is that you're blaming outside of yourself.
