Transits- Triple transits, stations and orbs

We call triple transits, so this is when a planet that has the ability to go retrograde goes over a planet that is transiting. So, say for example, we have Pluto transiting the Sun. So Pluto goes over because he's going forward, he goes over the Sun, then he stops, goes backward, retrograde, back over the Sun, then it goes forward again. It goes forward, back over the Sun. So it's one of these kinds of things.

So when that happens, there's a couple of different things that can come from that. The most typical thing that occurs is that when that planet is going forward initially and first for the first time crosses the natal planet that it's transiting, that brings the opening event, the opening tear, the first block in the changes that are going to be made. So it's like the door opens, and we do see some kind of, uh, typically event. Events can be psychological. Events are not always out there in the world. Events can be eruptive from within. Events can be changes that we make within ourselves, enlightening moments, or they can be the conditions outside of ourselves and specifically goings-on like physical events. So that's what we see. We see some kind of action related to that transit when we have that first pass.

Then we have the planet backing up because he's gone forward over the planet initially. Now he's gonna back up. So we get a retrograde pass. This furthers the crisis that was began at the initial pass. So it's like the crescendo of the crisis. So it furthers the action. A lot of times, the events and activities that are associated with that retrograde transit are more internal. They are more preparatory for what's going to happen when that planet goes forward again and goes one last time, the third time, past the natal planet. So we see the first pass with the planet going forward, we have the opening. We have the retrograde, we have the crescendo and the ripening. And then the third pass, we have the closing of the deal. So it's the final push towards the lesson that we were being taught or offered, the growth that comes with a particular transit.

So it is not unusual for us to, especially when it's an outer transit like Saturn, it is not unusual. But the planets from Saturn on out to Pluto, for them to have this triple effect on us. Sometimes we don't get that. Sometimes we just get one pass from a major planet. That's usually not the case if we're talking about, um, any planet Uranus on out. Sometimes Saturn will just, uh, get us once. But most of the time, because of how slowly the outer planets move, I mean, they may only move through two, three to five points a year. So it's pretty much more common than not that we will get triple transits from outer planets. It can last a long time when we are experiencing that forward, retrograde, forward. It can really prolong a transit for a long time because the outer planets can be retrograde up to six months out of the year. So it could be an 18-month event or more where we are going through a triple transit with, when it's an extreme outer planet, says Neptune or Pluto. So we have the opening, the culminating, and the closing.

Now, the other thing that can happen when we have a forward, retrograde, forward kind of thing happening in transit. The other thing that can happen is that the initial, um, event, opening, change is so, um, is so intense or is of such a quality that we immediately bring our attention to it and we work it out and we get the lesson or we do what it is that that transit was asking from us. Occasionally, this will happen and we will just really take the helm and put the petal to the metal and we will get the job done. If that is the case, then the retrograde and then forward that comes after that initial exact transit, that may go relatively unnoticed. It may be something that is, uh, you know, what we're still being propelled, but it's not happening with problem associated with it or with difficulty or friction because we exerted so much energy of spirit in the very beginning to get this solved. So that's the other thing that can happen, and that's not the more common thing. Um, usually we are prodded a good three times when we have these kinds of transits. So yeah, sometimes we can have that, that stress not repeated, uh, during the length of the transit, um, at those culminating times. It could still be something that is in the works, but, um, yeah, usually we're gonna be looking for some kind of, um, [Music] some kind of signal about how we're doing when we have those forward, retrograde, forward events.

So as we talk about the individual transits throughout the next year and the nuances and what those bring, I may bring up, depending on that transit or somebody just happens to ask, the types of stressors or events that can happen when we have a triple transit. So let's talk about the stationary, uh, periods and what that brings because many, many times it will be those stationary retrograde or stationary direct periods that we will see some kind of event or have some kind of a term, internal eruption, something that is eventful on the inside of us. And these are very important to pay attention to because it could be that often it is that that window of days where we have or or day where we have a direct retrograde motion, I'm sorry, stationary retrograde motion or a stationary direct moment. When the planet is stationary, whether it's stationary retrograde or direct, that will be a significant day or days related to this transit. So there does tend to be more worldwide activity during those periods of time. But the kind of [Applause] uh growth that may come as a result of a particular transit can really assert itself during those few days or a planet is very much stationary.

So the event is going to be indicative of the type of transit that we are undergoing. Um, we don't have events related to transits that are, what we don't have events stemming from transits that are unrelated to that transit is a better way to say it. So such as, uh, the goings-on that we associate with Venus, Jupiter transits, we would not see those goings-on if we were, say, undergoing a Saturn, Jupiter transit. The events that happen are specific to the type of transit that we're undergoing. And, um, that's always a good rule of thumb when it comes to figuring out what might a certain transit bring. Uh, so let's look at orbs of influence. And I will send out this tiny little thing to you guys so you have it as a reference. Actually, you know what, this will be in my transit workbook that I will hand out after the beginning of the year because I'm taking most of December off to work on materials.

So when we're looking at the inner planet, Sun through Venus, we're looking at about a five-degree window. So we can feel it coming up about five degrees before it gets there, and we can still feel it or experience it about five degrees after it goes away. So like with the Sun, say five days prior, five days after, we have that in that exact, uh, transit, the exact aspect that the Sun would make. Uh, and that's pretty much the case with, uh, all of the inner planets. Mercury about five degrees, Venus about five degrees, the Moon about five degrees. Uh, but it will be within, you know, two to three degrees and then exact that we see more actual action, more actual outcroppings of that, uh, transit.

When we're looking at Jupiter, uh, it's about three to five degrees as well. Uh, so in Jupiter, it takes about a year to transit a, a house or a sign, a typical 30-degree house. So the transits of Jupiter do not last a long, long time. They're really months, and it can't just be weeks if we just get one pass. So about three to five degrees with, with within five degrees, we can feel it rising, we can feel the the positivity, the lesson coming in. Within three degrees, we're really rocking the Jupiter transit. So, um, that does allow us some amount of time to enjoy the sugar.

Saturn, about two to three degrees. If Saturn moves pretty slowly, he can take months, even half a year to complete a transit over a planet or to a planet. So about three degrees, and we're going to start to feel the influence, the the wet blanket will come over us. About three degrees, two degrees, we're really going to start moving. We are going to start, uh, acting out that particular lesson. It's, it's, it's gonna be very obvious.

Uranus, also about two to three degrees. Now, Uranus moves pretty slowly, so that three-degree orb could represent a period of time, you know, about a year, even before we really reach that exactitude. We have that exact transit, but it's about a year, even 18 months, that we are getting the jitters, things are coming untied with Uranus transits. So it's, it's a period of time that we're working up to it, and then a period of time afterwards that we're catching our breath. So we allow about two to three degrees for Uranus transits.

Neptune transits, uh, a couple of degrees. Neptune moves very, very slowly, and it takes a couple of years. It could take three years to complete a Neptune or Pluto transit. And the year that Neptune is, uh, exact, that that is about a year that he will be at it, an exact degree. So, um, yeah, about two degrees on either side, and it is gonna be very, very typical that we're gonna get, um, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto triple transits. Yes, Katie, I know Neptune up to three years of, uh, feeling the drag. But yeah, it's, it's a longer period of time with Neptune and Pluto. Uh, they don't move many points per year. So we want to know when Neptune was within two degrees of making a transit. We want to know that and have that on our calendar because that is something to take note of.

Pluto, one to two degrees. Very, very slow-moving planet. And, um, when Pluto's within a degree of transiting our planet, we will really start to feel that. Say we have a planet at 25 degrees, Pluto is at 24. We're going to start to really feel this. Neptune, we can feel more say if we have a planet 25 degrees, we can feel Neptune good 23 degrees or so. Um, when he's transiting at about 23 degrees, Pluto has to be pretty close before we start to really feel that rise because, well, the the opening is usually about a year, the suffering is usually about a year, and then the sewing up, the suturing, the healing is usually about a year. Neptune as well. Um, so it needs to be within usually a degree of our natal planet. It will start to really notice that. But Pluto does start to work on us within two degrees of transiting a natal planet. It's just much of a slower process, usually. So slow it comes in, so [Music] so slowly that we don't even notice.

Oh, Jamie has Pluto in conjunct Saturn. So yeah, that's something we really look at our ambition, and our ambitions can majorly change, melt down into something else, even become purified. A lot of people, um, yeah, they fall out of love with luxury with that particular transit. Oh, okay. So that is my little lesson for tonight. I was thinking it was going to be quite short because we're covering topics that aren't really requiring a great deal of time. Do we have any questions about any of that?

I'm Jew. I just wanted to, you said, you just said about, um, if Pluto comes in conjunct to Saturn, that, uh, you fall out of love with luxury. I'm, I'm having Pluto, um, come, it's a degree away from my North Node, but the North Node is trying to my Pluto, but square to my Sun, which means that that Pluto is coming, it's coming soon to be inconjunct to my Sun. So what is the effect? What is the effect of that? That's quite complicated, but what would be the, I know you said the energy between, um, the square of Pluto and my Sun would be, you know, those planets would start talking to them, talking to each other better. But I never thought, well, actually, I never actually considered the aspect that I actually Pluto will be in conjunct to my Sun as well.

Well, it's going to bring up the square. It'll, it'll stimulate that natal assumption. That's our natal belief. Um, so the, we say the, the themes that have always been there between the Sun and Pluto are being pushed forward. Any transit is going to push that forward to to work that out or to make some progress regarding what that natal aspect is, what that means. But Pluto, um, [Music] in conjunct to the Sun, that that's going to be a process of, uh, the identity is going to be rebuilt. That's, that's always been the the issue. The Sun, Pluto square, there's, there's always an identity issue there. So even without that, even if that didn't exist, the, uh, in conjunction from transiting Pluto to the Sun would be an identity meltdown, a rebuilding. So we just don't want what we used to want. We don't really feel elated by the things that used to grab us. It's, uh, it really is a process of falling out of love with the things that we used to really be drawn to and creating a new buffet for ourselves. So I would, uh, study what that square between the Sun and Pluto means and look at this transit as something that's going to further either growth or breakdown. It depends on how you choose. I'm assuming it will be growth because you've always lived with Pluto, so not, not too afraid of him. Yeah.

And one of them, I think that the Pluto square thing for me has always been like an obsessive, either attracting someone who is obsessive about me in a relationship or me being obsessive, which is more common, about other people. Um, and I said, all I can, I mean, it hasn't come exactly like my Sun is 28 degrees and Pluto is 25, but, you know, it is a degree away from my North Node, which is 26, and it's trying to Pluto, so it's beginning to become activated. And the only thing, the only thing I can say I feel at the moment is kind of like, not again. It's early days, so let's see how it plays out. But it feels like I'm, uh, maybe beginning to transcend that kind of obsessiveness. Yeah, like as if it doesn't have, it's beginning to not have that kind of hold on me. That's the only thing I'm feeling at the moment. But I will let you know how it unfolds.

Yeah, I would expect that there would be more of that. We do grow out of our grip with Pluto because Pluto is the grip that we keep. We want to keep on life, people, assets, uh, whatever brings us a sense of security or sensation or intensity. And I think as we get older, we just get tired. We just, we don't, we find other things to do. We get tired of exerting so much energy, psychological and emotional energy, to keep things or to pursue that path of addiction or obsession because it is obsession is a, uh, it is a type of addiction. This is a, a manifestation of addiction. So growing out of some addictive personality styles and ways that you view yourself that have an addictive undercurrent. So yeah, I think that you'll come out of it feeling a lot lighter, hopefully. Yeah, you're prepared for, you've always, you've always had the square, so this won't be anything you can't handle. Uh, let's see.

Jamie, Pluto and conjunct Mars under less than one degree. Well, so it's going to be loosening up the Mars, Saturn conjunction that, uh, need to always have the petal to the metal and working obsessively hard. Oftentimes, [Music] work can actually be a self-punishing kind of behavior. So with Pluto involved, there's always a reboot. Um, so I would, uh, take another look at what that conjunction between, with that conjunction between Mars and Saturn means, which you are living it, according to your comment there. Um, and Pluto always makes us re-evaluate values. It's a Venus, Pluto axis thing. So Pluto has us re-assessing, what is, what is it really worth? And often that's what we find with addiction, obsession, is that what we've been chasing and what it's cost us, it wasn't actually worth it. So, um, I'm looking at, uh, how, ha, how you have, uh, relentlessly pursued your goals and your status, and, uh, is it still worth it?
