So, how direct can I be? There was a comment that I really enjoyed, and I thought I would answer it directly. That said, uh, I get really frustrated watching your videos. I feel like you're talking around something. You're you're not pointing directly to it, like you're beating around the bush. And then ultimately, this person said, "I just want the truth." Right? Uh, and I thought, well, if you're asking me for the truth about this and about your response and the situation, then um, I'm going to give you the truth. I'll be really direct. Okay, are you ready? Here's the truth: You don't actually want the truth. You want it to some degree, but you don't fully want it right now because if you did, you'd let go.

If you really, really want to see the truth, then the pointing I give is extremely simple: Stop believing your thoughts. I know your thoughts are going to say, "Oh, well, I'm frustrated. Oh, this happens. This always happens. I, you know, I I watch these and I get frustrated, etc., etc." And I'm going to tell you those are thoughts. And I know you can see that those are thoughts right now. I know you can. So stop looking at those thoughts. Don't entertain one more thought. Don't entertain a single thought. That's what it means to let go. And if you really, really want the truth, you're going to let go. If you're not quite ready for it, you'll tell yourself that story one more time.

Is this uncomfortable to hear? If it's uncomfortable to hear, that's good because it means you're letting go of something. You don't really want to let go fully, or you would already have let go. We wouldn't be having this conversation. So, what is it you don't want to let go of? Well, it's something like this: the opportunity to get what you want, or you don't want to let go of anticipating awakening, even if you don't know what it is. Look at that really closely. What is it you don't want to let go of right now? Because I'm not talking around anything. I'm pointing very directly, and more importantly, the truth is right in front of your face. You can't miss the truth. All you can do is tell yourself another story about how it's obscured from you. And the story is creating simultaneously the sense of you and the story about you that says you're trying to find something or that something's hidden from you. I know that feels familiar, even if it feels frustrating.

So if you want the truth, let go of it right now and don't turn back to it. Don't entertain it one more time. Don't entertain a single thought. It's not my responsibility to cause you to stop clinging to your thoughts. All I can do is tell you that that's the way forward. So, stop doing it. If you really want the truth, don't tell yourself one more story about yourself or about anything because it's just a thought. Notice now the mind gets quiet. What's the next thought that comes? Is it your story? Oh yeah, I always can touch into the quiet. I can see the gap between thoughts for a minute, and then what what happens next, right? Goes away. Reality goes away somehow. The truth disappears. It doesn't disappear. You just get sidetracked with thoughts. You get hypnotized again. And to stay hypnotized in thoughts is actually quite a quite a an undertaking. You have to do it again and again and again. You have to hypnotize yourself actively with thought after thought after thought.

This is why the truth is not complicated. Not at all. It's just about stopping doing that. Don't tell yourself one more story. I know it's sticky, and I know it feels like you want to grab that thought, that narrative about you that you think is true. But if you want me to be direct, it's not it's not true at all. Because whether or not that thought is there, there's something right where you are, there's an experience that's so close that it couldn't even really be called an experience. It doesn't come and go. It's always there. So then how can a thought that tells you a story be about you? How can it define you? How can it encapsulate you when you don't disappear when that thought goes away or when another thought appears about another story about another memory? Right? So notice that. Notice the sense that that thought is about you or even that it's compelling in any way at all. Like, oh no, this is an important thought. I got to think about this one. Got to believe this story. Do you? Why?

And again, this is a very confronting way to say it, but it's totally true: If you really, really want the truth, you will let go. So what that means is the part of you that's telling yourself you want the truth is the part of you that actually doesn't. I'm not saying that part of you doesn't want the truth because part of you does. But the part of you that says it wants the truth. The part of you that says it's frustrated. The part of you that tells the story, that's the part that doesn't want the truth and wants to stay hypnotized. But guess what? That's not you. That's not you. So let go of it. Let go of it.
