40 CONTRADICTIONS of the New Testament MIS-quoting the Prophets (pt .1 of 4) Greg McBride - 2106

And so all Israel shall be saved. Ironic. As it is written, there shall come out of Zion the deliverer and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob. For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Now in in the King James Bible, the redeemer comes to Zion. In Paul's christologology, the the redeemer or the deliverer comes out of Zion. Obviously, Jesus comes out of Zion. So, Paul's got to erase that.

Welcome to Tark Talk. I'm your host, William Hall, broadcasting live out of Kingsland, Texas, USA with another episode of Two Guys Exploring Christianity with Slowad McBride. Welcome back, Greg. It's a pleasure to have you.

I I didn't I didn't even say anything. No, you don't have to. I just I just it's it's the fact that I'm watching you and it's like I'm I'm I'm constantly constantly trying to stare off screen so I don't get distracted by your by your bobblehead dance. It actually looks cool. It does. It looks like you're hanging from a like from a bungee cord and just happy about that. Oh yeah, I'd be happy to hang from a bungee cord. Yeah. Better you than me. I'll pass. Thank you. Thank you. That's funny.

Oh, all right. Uh, so we've got a delight for you guys tonight. So, Greg and I met uh at a debate in uh was it Dallas? I think it was Dallas, right? I think so. Dallas. Yeah, we met at Dallas. And we got together uh and after I alcoholized him. I'm just kidding. I think I think I I think I did give you like I did drink I did drink a shot of my mini Butterscotch or something. Yeah. 99 butterscotch. 99.

Anyway, so continuing on with the story, uh that's where Greg and I first sat and were and he had discussed with me his uh his idea for a show and we u and after after a while, it took us it took some doing and some plotting and planning to figure out how we were going to approach it. But this is where he first showed me his list of controversial uh versus contradictions. Uh and he called them compare and contrast. Well, over the years over the years, Greg's only brought like one or two on his show, but we decided that it's going to be kind of a a neat thing to do like uh maybe a short series, however long it takes to get through them and do 10 compare and contrast in each show and then if we have time in the end, we'll open up for a phone call or two. Uh and so, so that's what we're going to do. We're going to he's going to bring up I've already got them ready to pull on the screen. We'll show them to you on screen and uh uh you'll have the uh the Tanakh verse versus the New Testament quote and we'll kind of go through it that way. So uh Greg, go ahead and kind of give us some more information on the background.

Okay. So the so it was a I think it first started from a question that got posed to I think to Rabbi Singer and it said so if the Christian Bible just changes what the Hebrew Bible says then what's then why are we even here? Why why is Christianity even a thing or why does Christianity try to tie itself to the Hebrew Bible? That's a great question because if the I if and Rabbi Singer has gone over this multiple times, you know, if you have a legal document in any first world country and the original document like you write it down and then when you pass from the scene and your heirs open it up, if it's different, then it's null and void. There's no court that's going to enforce something that has been changed from what the original said. And I I interact with a lot of Christian preachers always except for like Jonathan Sheffield, he's not a preacher, and Steven Boyce and a few others. Um they will never actually come on the show. I have text streams that go literally tens of thousands of texts, but they'll never come on the show to defend it in the idea of public arena. Sure. And so they always say, "Well, it doesn't it doesn't do it. It doesn't it doesn't change it. It doesn't change it." Well, I'm just going to And William So really what William does is really it's really cool because he makes it so easy for you. You can just watch it on the screen. You can compare them right side by side. And so the first one, and I'm I'm going I'm using a King James Bible for the entire thing so that no Christians can say, "Well, yeah, that's what the rabbis changed it to." You know what I mean? Because that's what they say all the time.

So in in Malachi 4, you know, I'm talking from a Christian Bible because there's no chapter 4 in the Hebrew Bible. So we'll go to the fourth chapter of Malachi, verse 5 and 6. Here we read, "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse." We are told in the Christian Bible in the book of Luke 1st chapter 16 and 17 we're told that this is a quote of of Malachi chapter 4. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the power and spirit of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children. and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. There is there is very little similar between those two places. So you can uh uh like like hopefully with the last show the the four sourcemen I said let's let's read and see if if Revelation comports with Ezekiel concerning the final temple. And I think that's a great thing to do. So you can read these two verses side by side and see if they're the same thing. Notice that it says in in the in the Hebrew Bible it says that Elijah will come but in the Christian Bible since Elijah didn't come and that's very falsifiable. Sure. It says oh the power and spirit of Elijah. So also to mention um Jesus said he came to divide a household a mother I mean a father against his son and the whole nine yard. So that that would contradict this anyway. So if absolutely yes to bring a sword. Yeah. So if Malachi reads, I will send you Elijah prophet therefore come in a great day of the Lord. They shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children. That's the key and Jesus came. In Malachi, Hashem is speaking and he says that the reason Elijah comes to do this is so that he won't smite the earth with a curse. Okay. But in the Christian quote, it says to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. How is that? How is that even close? It's not close. Right? So again, my my fellow travelers on the Christian side of the world say that there is no contradiction in those two verses. So, but do they concede that there is a contradiction in Malachi versus what Jesus said about bringing a sword? No. No. They just say that I don't understand it. Interesting. Okay. That's that's all they say. I I don't understand it. I I because I don't have Jesus in my heart to understand it. That's basically the fallback position of most of them. Not all of them, but most of them something similar to that. And I have to understand it from I have to understand that this further revelation came to the author of Luke. Oh, and to the various Christian authors, I have to understand that this is a further revelation. Do you realize that if if uh let's just say do you do you have a daughter? I have a granddaughter. Okay. Okay. This is even better. Let's say your granddaughter came to you and she told you all this stuff about her uh future husband. They're going to get engaged and she tells you all these things. Oh, my granddaughter is never getting married. And she she presents all these things, all these hopes and promises about he's giving her, but there's nothing tangible that he's presenting to her. And it's like everybody sees around her that this guy is a fake. He's a fraud. But only she only she can't see it because she's blinded by love. Right. Right. I mean, so in essence, that would be my claim to Christians is they're blinded by love and faith because well, there Yeah, I I agree with that. I think that there is a kind of Christianity accuses the Jews of having a veil over their eyes and they can't see Jesus. I would posit that the opposite is true. Yeah. That they are so in love with and again, who wouldn't love Jesus? I mean, Jesus everything. Jesus, greatl looking guy. He's he's the he's the man. He can just do anything he wants by a command of his voice. And he's the high priest. He's the Messiah. He's the sacrifice. He's the king. He's the prince. He's everything. I mean, he's the star running back on the high school football team, too. You know what I mean? So they're so in love with the idea of Jesus that they can't see the simple truth of the Hebrew Bible. And the truth is the Hebrew Bible, it's very complicated in a lot of ways, but in so many other ways, it's so simple, right? You don't you don't have to understand a mystery. You don't have to go to the ends of the earth to find it. You can just find a rabbi and he'll like tell you what the Hebrew Bible says. Pretty simple. Um there's one God. He loves you. He's going to he's going to resurrect you in the last day. You get to have a good life. Uh just be kind. Don't don't hurt your fellow man. Don't be a crook. Pretty simple stuff. You know, remember with Paul, you've got to understand all these great mysteries. Yeah. Oh yes. And who's who's the only one that understands the mysteries? Well, it's Paul. Yeah. Cuz Paul literally says, "Flesh and blood did not reveal this to me." Yeah. Other words, I didn't I didn't go talk to one of those rabbis. Now, Paul is a student of Galiel. But Galio, one of the greatest teachers in the Hebrew world of for all time, Galeiel didn't teach Paul. Even though the claim is made that Paul was taught by Galiel, but he didn't learn it from Giel. He learned it from a mystery. The mystery was real to him and only him. Okay? That's the beginning of every single cult that exists. I'm being honest here. True. That's true. Joseph Smith. Did Joseph Smith learn? No. He got it from a vision from the angel Moroni. Uh, that's what that's what he did. And by the way, Mormonism is the fastest growing religion in the United States today. Wow. So, they must be correct. So, right. For sure. Okay. So, let's move on to All right. Next one. Psalm 40 verse 6 in your Christian Bible, verse 7 in your Hebrew Bible. But okay, Psalm sacrif one second. Psalm 40:6. Got it. Go ahead. Sacrifice and offering thou did not desire. Mine ears hast thou opened. Oh, this is a good burnt off burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. This is in this is what your Christian Bible says. pretty close to what the Hebrew Bible says too, by the way. I'm just saying. Y no rabbis were writing this. But in chapter 10 of Hebrews in verse 5, wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, sacrifice an offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared for me. Wow. Okay. Is that is that what is that what King David says in chapter 40? Oh. Oh. Uh, okay. It's not it's not what he says. Not at all. Not even close. But a body that's like that's totally body. Totally different. Completely different. Completely different. So, and you've got your burnt offerings. Oh, that's not what the Septuagint says. Well, how come two times when David is writing the psalm, two times he says, "You don't want sin offerings. You don't want sin offerings. You don't want offerings. You don't want them. You want me to hear you. You want me to hear your word." But in the in the book of Hebrews that even Christians agree is anonymous. Um, and an anonymity doesn't mean it's no value, but it's less value, I would have to say. And you don't want an offering. You don't want an offering. You don't want an offering. Oh, here's a body for your offering. Yeah. Right. Okay. That not only just a body, but it says he he has prepared a body. Prepared it. Yeah. He prepared the body. You know what I mean? That seems like that's one of the biggest ones right there. For sure. That that is. Yeah. Okay. Isaiah 61 verse 1 and 3. The spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek. He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God to comfort all that mourn. Okay. Okay. Chapter 4 of Luke, Jesus, we are told that Jesus goes into the temple, takes the Isaiah scroll and reads these verses out loud. Okay? Now, remembering Christianity, true. Damn. Jesus is God. Jesus is God. And he's reading from the Isaiah scroll. He's reading from the Isaiah. We are told that Jesus took the scroll and read it. Okay? This is what Jesus reads. The spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind. to set them to set at liberty them that are bruised to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Huh. In the there's nothing about blind people getting sight in in Isaiah 61, right? Um there's nothing we're So the vengeance that God takes on all of the nations that have been bad to Israel for the millenn that is a that's a motif that is throughout the Hebrew Bible that there there is punishment from God on the nations that were bad to Israel. Jesus skips that part. Wow. Because he doesn't doesn't mention the day of the vengeance of our God. Um I I don't know you again did did Jesus change Isaiah 61. It clearly he and it clearly does say like you said it says and then he closed the book and he gave it again to the minister. Is that down? Correct. He's reading from Yeah. So, well, number one, why would why would God have to read it from an Isaiah scroll? Okay, let's let's just say that he's not God. He's he's a the human son. He would still he would still he should still know if he's all knowing. I don't know. He should still know how to read Hebrew, I would think. And Surely, of course. Surely he would know that he just messed it up. I would I would think. Oh, I see. I see where you're going. Yep, that makes sense. Yeah. Yeah. So, right. Okay. Got it. Okay. So, Deuteronomy 30 11-14. Okay. For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. Remember, Paul says is a great mystery that nobody can know except him. But Moses contradicts what Paul says. Y it is not in heaven that thou should stay who shall go up for us to heaven and bring it to us that we may hear it and do it. Neither is it beyond the sea that thou shouldest say, who shall go over the sea for us and bring it unto us, that way we may hear it and do it. But the word is very nigh unto thee in thy mouth and in thy heart that thou mayest do it. And if you're if you're not familiar with the Hebrew Bible, you're in 99% of participation with Christians because most Christians never read the Hebrew Bible. Yep, that's true. So he very clearly what is in view is the Torah. Moses is right at the end of his life. He's giving Israel the final charge that they're going to get from him. And the Torah is in his essence. And so what you're going to do, the covenant that you're going to do is the Torah. So then the author of Romans which is unequivocally Paul in chapter 10 6-8 Paul is quoting Moses. But the righteousness that is of faith speaketh on this wise. Say not in thine heart, who shall ascend into heaven? That is to bring Christ down from above. Or who shall descend into the deep? That is to bring up Christ again from the dead. But what saith it, the word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart. That is the word of faith which we preach which we preach. Paul Paul's got it kind kind of right towards the end. It's in thy heart in thy mouth that thou mayest do it. Uh oh no, it's it's the word of faith. Wow. Wow. Well, again, no no contradiction here. This is just how how could it be that? Again, like I said at the beginning of the show, very simple. Yeah, you you do that you don't have to worry about like secret stuff and all that. You know this what's wild is is he goes into this thing and says the word is nigh thee even in the mouth in the mouth and in your heart that is saying the same thing the word of faith which which we preach and he continues saying that if thou confess with thy mouth this word this is he's basically saying this is in the Tanakh he's he's basically quoting as if this is actually written in in the Hebrew scriptures. Yes. And when when you and I were in the church we didn't know that Paul got it wrong. That's messy. We We assume that Paul is accurately quoting the Hebrew Bible and those gang Jews just don't get it. Wow. We We as Christians were so lazy and Christians are lazy. Let's Let's just be honest. All of us are kind of lazy. You know what I mean? But they don't ever just look it up and read it for themselves. And I I mean this is like this is the main thing that your entire existence should get right. I mean the fact you know like I haven't even started my NFL running back career yet. But as soon as I do, I'm going to be really good at it. Wow. But this is even more important than my NFL running back career. So you think you could at least just look it up from time to time. Funny. Notice that it's wrong. So, so again, just just to just for quick reference, you guys, 14, uh, it says, "But the word is nigh thee in thy mouth and thy heart that you may do it." But then Paul says, Paul says, "It's nigh thee, it's in your heart." Uh, so that if you confess with your mouth Lord Jesus, and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. So, he's clearly quoting from Deuteronomy that just doesn't exist. In your in your Christian Bible, in the side notes, if you've got a decent annotated Bible, it in Romans, it will quote man what I just said. It'll quote Deuteronomy. It'll take you right to Deuteronomy chapter 30 in in your Christian Bible. But the people who annotate your Christian Bible know that you're not going to do it. I think that Hashem forces them to do it. I really do because then you know Hashem on the day of judgment when when you're it's not going real well for you, you're not going to spend eternity in 800°ree hell, right? But it cannot go so well for you. Yeah. And then Hashem will say, "Hey, you know, all you I made it real easy for you because I know you're lazy. I created you." Um, but you I I made it to where you could just flip easy enough in your Christian Bible. Real easy. You could just flip and reference it. It is very near to you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And all the time, all the time to the Jewish people, the one thing that I hammered home was that you do the Torah. You do it. You do it. Now, can you only do it and not have a heart for Hashem? No. Yes. No. Yes, you can. Well, not not and not and make it. You You can do it. Correct. You have to have both to be You have to have both, you know. But you can you can just like go through the rituals of have a heart for Hashem, right? And I and I think your day your judgment day will be way better than people who try to do the opposite of that. You know what I mean? I totally agree. You're right about that. Yeah. Yeah. But at least you're halfway there. Correct. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. But there is no world in Christianity where the idea of keeping the law, keeping the Torah is ever taught, right? No way. It doesn't exist. You You go into any church, test me on this. Go into a church and say, "Hey, aren't we supposed to be keeping the Torah and doing it?" Yeah. And see what the reaction is. So, I would like to compare this to uh to an actual marriage, right? Um like you were saying, a person can do the commandments but not have that deep relationship and still be better off than the one who says, "I don't have to do the commandments because that's not important anymore and do what you want to." In the same way as a marriage would be a husband and wife where a husband say, "Well, I'm going to be faithful to her. I'm going to keep that. I'm going to keep my commitment on that regard, but I'm just not going to be emotionally connected to her. That woman can that woman can tolerate that a lot longer than she could if you actually cheated on her. Once you once you say the law is not important, I'm going to do what I want to and act like I love you. She's going to divorce you no matter what. Right. So, same thing with the with our creator the same way. That's a good analogy. Yeah. So, you must have taken a smart pill before the show started. You're saying this is not my norm? No, I didn't say it, but I got you to say it. You sure did. You sure did. Okay. I love it. I love it, man. That's great. Oh, good lord. I just did something there. Okay. Here we go. All right. Okay. So, let me get rid of Deuteronomy then and Romans. Okay. And now we're into Jeremiah. Tell us about Jeremiah 31 verse 31-33. If you don't know hardly anything else about the Hebrew Bible, you should know these verses. You need to know these. Yeah. Yeah. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah, not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them out of the land of Egypt, which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, saith the Lord, but this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, sayaeth the Lord, I will put my law, my Torah, in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." Okay. The anonymous author of Hebrews in the 8th chapter, start at verse 8. for finding fault with them. He saith, "Behold, the days come." Now, I didn't see the finding fault with them. But let's let that slide. Behold, the days come, sayaeth the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt. because they continued not in my covenant and I regarded them not or I disregarded them. I cast them aside. H sayaeth the Lord. Wasn't he a husband to them? And Christianity gets real confused in the in the the special relationship that our creator has with the children of Israel. It would be Jeremiah chapter 7 where three 3 and 7 in Jeremiah where God divorces Israel but he is willing to take Israel back. Okay. Because he's a husband because he's a faithful husband to Israel. In other words, Israel, as as bad as Israel has been, Israel is still better than all the other nations of the earth in in regards to their relationship with Hashem because Christianity says, "Yeah, that's a great point." Yeah. So, so God is keeping and remember the reason that God is faithful to Israel today as we speak is not because Israel is so great. It's because he swore the covenant to their for to their fathers to their forefathers to that's and so for the sake of his covenant that he made Hashem with Israel he is going to be faithful. He's a husband to them. He didn't disregard Israel. He He is a husband to them. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, sayeth the Lord. I will put my laws in their mind and write them in their hearts, and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people of all the ones that get quoted in the Christian Bible. This one just changes one word. I mean, it's a big word, but how I if you if you kind of gloss past the fact that God goes from being Israel's husband to God disregarding Israel, even the author of Hebrews still says, and surely the author of Hebrews wouldn't be saying that this has already happened. Sure. He'll be their God and they will be a people to him. Obviously, it's Israel. And you know, they this this is the one verse in Tanakh that Christianity bases what they call their New Testament, the British, if you're a messianic, you know, the new covenant. But the the problem is even you back up one version to verse 30. Uh it says, "Behold, every everyone shall die for his own iniquity." This is this is prophetic. This is future. Yeah. This is this would be a great place for them to say uh you know, Jesus will die for your sins. You know, every every man who eatth sour grapes, Jesus's teeth shall be set on edge or my son's teeth. But it doesn't. This is future prophetic and it's all regarding the new covenant. That's exactly this all all part of the new covenant. So yeah and the new covenant again the new covenant is there are three parties involved in the new covenant one on Friday one on just kidding that that then become two parties. Yep. So the original so and this is a prophecy part of this verse of these verses. It's house of Israel, house of Judah and Hashem. But then no Muslims, no Christians, no Messianics. No, there's no there's nobody else involved. Okay. Well, let's go to the second part of the covenant. Well, now we're just house of Israel and Hashem. Yeah. And where is the blood? In the 16th chapter of Matthew, Jesus says, "This is the blood of the new covenant sprink given for all." Well, the new covenant doesn't say anything about Jesus, about blood, about a church, y about Gentiles. The the the the new covenant or the renewed covenant is wholly a Jewish God, a a Jewish slashcreator dynamic. Nothing else. And if you're going to insert something else into it, okay? Yeah. And again, like I've said multiple times, don't say that the Hebrew Bible says it. Sure. Say, I'm I'm making this up. My religion is making this up. Just like Mormonism makes up Moroni and the thumbum and all the golden plates, right? Okay. Just say it. So, or don't or don't just don't blame it on Tanakh. Don't Don't blame it on the Hebrew scriptures, the Genesis through Malachi because because it's not there yet. Yeah. Oh, yeah. All right. Isaiah chapter 59. We'll start at verse 20. Okay. And this one is this one is really ripped apart in Christianity. All right. One second here. But go ahead. You're good. But ironically, it's not ripped apart by the King James by Oh, interesting. Fair. Fair. and and the redeemer. It it is but not completely. And the redeemer shall come to Zion. That's a little bit sketchy, right? And unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob. No Christians here in Jake in Israel, right? Saith the Lord. As for me, this is my covenant with them, sayaeth the Lord. My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seeds seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and forever. Paul remember student of Galiel a a Pharisees Pharisee says in Romans chap 11 verse 26 and 27 quoting this and so all Israel shall be saved ironic as it is written there shall come out of Zion the deliverer and shall turn away ungodly godliness from Jacob. For this is my covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins. Now in in the King James Bible, the redeemer comes to Zion. In Paul's Christologology, the the redeemer or the deliverer comes out of Zion. Obviously, Jesus comes out of Zion, so Paul's got to erase that. And shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob. That's But in the in the Christian Old Testament, it says unto them that turn from transgression. In other words, the children of Jacob are the ones that are turning from their transgressions. Paul says that the deliverer turns them from their transgressions. He has to crystallize it. Make it cris crispy crispy crispy. And because because the whole the whole message of the Christian Bible is that you can't do anything. It's got to be done for you by Jesus. Jesus is the only one that can do it. And so Paul can't have it stand that even in the even in the Christian translation of the Hebrew Bible, it's Jacob that is turning from his sin, not Jesus that is turning them from their sin. and he he leaves out a whole bunch which is not necessarily a misquote but it's not very sporting shall we say because in the Christian Old Testament it says that the word doesn't depart out of Jacob's mouth. Wow. When until when? Until Jesus comes? No. Forever. So if Jacob's if the word doesn't depart out of Jacob's mouth forever, then why is it that Christianity is now the actual word of God? I mean that's a great question if you and it's you can answer it on your own time. Right. So before we again to before we close that out just just again I wanted to I want to point the major differences out here and I kind of hovered over them too and you've already pointed them out but just to recall. So here it says uh and the redeemer shall come to Zion. That's what your uh your Isaiah's actually prophesied. And then in uh Romans it says he shall come out of Zion. Out of Zion. Okay. And then back here it says and unto them that turn from their transgressions. And Romans says that uh that uh see and the deliverer shall turn away ungodliness. Uh there was something else I missed here. They shall the deliverer and shall turn away ungodliness from J. In other words, it takes the it takes the onus off of Jacob and puts it onto the deliverer. Got it. Got it. Because in remember in Christianity, Jacob, this is it right here. Can't turn from his sin. This was what I was looking for here. the verse 27 um reflecting back Isaiah says them that turn from transgression but uh verse 27 says when I shall take away their sins when I shall take away their sins obviously the I in Christianity is right for sure yeah okay cool so Zakaria Zechariah next Zechariah 11 verse 12 and 13 and I said unto to them, "If you think good, give me my price, and if not, forebear." So they weighed for my price, 30 pieces of silver. You cannot get a Christian book of fulfilled messianic prophecies without the 30 pieces of silver being included in it. True. That is a that is a stalwart. So, and the Lord said unto me, cast it unto the potter, a goodly price that I was prized at of them. And I took the 30 pieces of silver and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord. And in the house of the Lord in Zechariah, that's the temple. That's the that's the sanctuary. Okay. Matthew 27 9 and 10 has a little different take on it. Not exactly a quote. Then was fulfilled. Remember this is this is Matthew has the most fulfillment passages of any of the Christian books. Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet. Let that sink in for a minute. Yeah. Zakaria versus Oh wow. Okay. All right. Jer Okay. Jeremiah the Wow. But this is the holy inspired. This is this is the inspired word of God. Word of God. This is this is God himself speaking. Okay. Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet in the book of Zechariah the prophet. Okay. Saying, "And they took the 30 pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value." I I missed that part in Zechariah. Wh Where does it say children of Israel in Zechariah 11? But remember, we Oh, the Christian Bible doesn't denigrate Hebrew people. No, that's a misnomer. Okay. All right. Whom they of the children of Israel did value and gave them for the potter's field as the Lord appointed me. Um, where does it say that it was for a field? I thought it did say it doesn't it doesn't say it was for a field. It says that interesting. It was cast unto the potter in the house. unto the temple in the house in the house of God cast by yeah there's no children of Israel involved in Zechariah or Jeremiah whichever again my gosh you would think that the author of the book of Matthew would at least look it up in the right book before he proclaims it in the name of the Lord. Well, he never proclaims it in the name of the Lord. He did at least get less punishment for that. Now, keep in mind that before before the internet really hit like around 90 19 90 93 before that every preacher on the planet would tell you that the New Testament was word for word the precise word of God. No flaws flaws inable now infallible. Absolutely. And now that now that there's uh easy access, they're having to uh correct those statements, revise their entire faith statements so that it doesn't cause issues with their church people. Right. Yeah. Yeah. So uh Okay. So Isaiah 42 Isaiah 42 1-3. Behold my servant whom I uphold, mine elect in whom my soul delightth. I have put my spirit upon him. He shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench. He shall bring forth judgment unto truth. Okay. The author of the book of Matthew 12 18- 21. Behold my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my spirit upon him and he shall show judgment to the Gentiles. So far so good. He shall not strive nor cry, neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory, and in his name shall the Gentiles trust. Wow, that is where did he get that from? You You tell me where. Oh, this is just further revelation. It's just further revelation of God. But but he's literally quoting. He he says that he's basically quoting from the book, but he's lying. Since since when do we get to say we're quoting and then just change it? This is an absolute lie. It's absolutely an absolute lie. And again, you should seriously evaluate. If you want to be a Christian, go be a Christian. But that's deep. Don't say that that Isaiah told you to be a Christian cuz Isaiah didn't say anything about that. Yep. So, um Jeremiah 31 verse 15-17. Thus saith the Lord. Again, remember you you don't hear this this claim in the Christian Bible. It doesn't. Matthew doesn't say, "Oh, I just got this from the creator of the heavens and the earth, right?" No, they gloss over that. And Jesus never says, "Here, write this down." Jesus never says, "Write this down. This is what this is what this is what the creator of the heavens and the earth says." No, he doesn't. Right? But the Christian Bible, when it's Old Testament, it does. So thus saith the Lord, a voice was heard in Rama. Lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel weeping for her children. Refuse to be comforted for her children because they were not. Thus saith the Lord, refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears, for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the Lord. and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in thine hand, saith the Lord, that thy children shall come again to their own border. Very clear, very prophetic. Matthew chapter 2 verse 16- 18. Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceedingly wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from 2 years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah. At least at least this time the author of Matthew got the book right. Right. That's funny. The prophet saying in Rama was there a voice heard lamentation and weeping and great mourning. Rachel weeping for her children and would not be comforted because they are not. And then Matthew in the book, the author of Matthew just ends it right there. Well, wait a minute. Because this wasn't a prophecy in Jeremiah 31 about the children of Rachel, metaphorically, the Hebrew children or the the Jewish children, the the sons of Judah because Rama is in Judah and it's about 15 to 20 miles from Bethlehem as distance goes. But here this is the the Babylonians have just conquered the nation and Rama is one of the key disembarkation points to be shipped off to Babylon. And what what Hashem is telling through the prophet Jeremiah is don't weep. Don't weep because your children aren't gone. They're going to come back to their own border. And exactly 70 years later, they did come back to their own borders. That's that's the prophecy. But the author of Matthew has to get a has to wrangle some some unlearned Jewish people to think that this because there are Jewish people that don't read their Bible as well as Christians that don't read their Bible, right? But they they had to make it where this is a prophecy of Herod doing it's called the slaughter of the innocents in Christian theology. So they he has to make it be that and that's that's all he does here. But he just if you just lop off a bunch of the verse, a bunch of the prophecy, well, you can make it say anything you want. Yeah. So wow. Wow. Good stuff. Okay. So next, the last two we have is Hosea. The last two. Yep. Well, speaking of lpping off verses, Hosea 11:1 in the Christian Hosea in the Christian Bible here, English King James. Yep. King James. When Israel was a child, then I loved him and called my son out of Egypt. If the entire verse would have just been written down in the book of Matthew, probably about everybody could have gotten it. Sure. But in the second chapter of Matthew, Ma, the author of Matthew doesn't do that. In verse 15, and was there until the death of Herod. Uh Mary and Joseph are in Egypt until the death of Herod. so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet saying out of Egypt have I called my son and called my son out of Egypt. He he got the second half of the verse correct but he left off the entire subject of the prophecy. It's not even a prophecy. It's something that happened already to Israel. The prophet Hosea lives a where's Rabbi Singer when I need him? Right. 600ish years after the bapt the Egyptian ex coming out of the land of Egypt. So Hosea is just making a statement of fact. When Israel was a child, I loved him and I called my son out of Egypt, comporting with with uh uh Exodus 4:22, Israel, you are my firstborn son. And then but the but the author of Matthew just Yeah. throws it away. Just throws it away. Last but not least, Jeremiah 31:32. Oh, I didn't get I didn't get that one down there. Hang on. Oh. Oh, no. That we did. That was the last one was Hosea 11, wasn't it? Oh, yeah. Because that one was a repeat, didn't we? That was the one. Yeah. Yeah, that was the last one. That was repeat. Okay, cool. Awesome. Uh, so if you if you if you really think that nobody changed anything in the Christian Bible, okay? You know, and I've got I really want to go to work for you. I want to build you a house. Do me a favor. I'm not going to change anything either. No, no kidding. All right. Hey, I want you I want you to take your fingers, your thumb, and flip through your book and see about how many more compare and contrast you have in and tens. In tens and tens. Yeah. So, if you got like 40 or 50, that's like four or five shows. 30 to 40. Okay. So, 30 to 40. So, we're going to break these off in 10 uh 10 contrast characters per shows and do do a four four series on this thing. And I think these need to be bundled together. Um, in fact, okay, um, we keep we're keeping them to an hour because most people don't really want to sit in front of any device for longer than an hour. Um, correct. But this this is going to make a great folder item to bundle this stuff together. Um, all the ones that are these are these are not straw man arguments. These these are major. No, this is just you any anybody can take their Bible and do this. You don't need theological degree like William and I have. Um, the only degree I got I got the third I got the third degree a few times. It's about it. I got Well, I got mine from What's a ma you? Um, what's the matter with you? What's a what's a ma you? That's the university that I went to. That's funny. What's What's a ma you? Oh, that's that's an old Rocky and Bullwinkle joke. Oh. Oh my gosh. Nobody watching this show knows who Rocky and Bullwinkle were. I I kept Hey, Rocky. Hey, we go. Watch me pull rabbit out of my hat. What? Nothing up my sleeve. Here's something we hope you'll really like. That's hilarious. Oh my goodness gracious. Wow. Well, Greg, great show as always. You know, thank you, sir. You you truly are uh you truly are a great teacher. I really appreciate your time. A thank you. And I look forward to seeing you. Uh, I wasn't going to do it, but I'm going to I'm going to just mention it, guys. There is the the 10 year anniversary. And to just for the record, in case you're watching this a year from now, today's date is September 16th, 2025. Next month, in about six weeks, I'm having a 10-y year anniversary. And now that I've actually called it that and called it what it is, 10 year anniversary um for uh for the channel, um I'm going to I'm going to go and put up on screen if it will allow me to bear with me one second. Remember the the tan guy is the one you want to vote for. Apparent according to Greg, the one that doesn't look like he's paying attention. That's right. That's right. I told William this is the one This is me. I look like I'm not paying attention. I'm just kidding. That's the That's the only photograph I That's the only photo I have of you. It really is. It's really Yeah, that's why I said it's the only one I could use. Now, I could do a screenshot from one of my videos, but I'm gonna I'm gonna zoom in for y'all just for fun. Uh just because we can. So you can see the fine print. Uh but yeah, this area here uh is going to be uh Sunday, October 26th, Hill Country Hall. That's going to be right about five miles from my studio. Um there there there is uh going to be a food truck there that you will have to pay for your plates just like it's a restaurant. Not doesn't belong to me.

associated, but it's going to have brisket, uh, chicken, uh, chicken. Actually, I fixed that. I did fix that, by the way. It's just not showing up right now. Uh, brisket, chicken, and all the basic stuff, potato salad, but he's going to have some like banana pudding and things like that.

Um, and then there's, uh, there are hotels nearby. Um, there are four hotels in Marble Falls. That's about 20 minutes from here. But right where, where I live is right in the middle of about five different water supplies, meaning like lakes, uh, rivers, whatever. Reservoirs. Yeah, reservoirs. And so there's a lot of lodging around here. Um, so there's plenty of places to stay for you people who are either, either want to fly in and stay for a few days or driving, want to stay the weekend. There's a lot of options. So, but just mark the mark the date, uh, and mark all the notations here. And like I said, this is, this is going to be, uh, people ask me again, it's in, it's in the print here. Uh, the present people will be, uh, Rabbi Federo, Greg McBride, and myself. Uh, Rabbi Singer will be on a Zoom call. I'm going to try to arrange it so, so Rabbi, uh, Singer and Rabbi Scoach can be on the same Zoom call, Zoom call together. So we can all be sharing with pass around microphones and questions and answers. It'll be fun. It's, it's just going to be like a big old birthday party, really, you know.

So if you guys want to come, you know, there are no ticket sales. People are asking me about that. I don't like doing tickets. Uh, there are fees involved with all this stuff and and expenses and stuff and but I'm like, I just don't, I don't, I don't like being involved in that. So if you guys want to do donations, great. And if there's enough when we're done to pay for everything, great. If there's not, I'll deal with it. That's kind of how I feel. So, yeah. All right. Okay.

Hey, you, you said there's, there's a lot, there's quite a bit of lodging around the area. Are there also hotels and motels around there? Yes. Uh, in Marble Falls, which is the one I mentioned earlier where you were sleeping a minute ago and didn't hear me say it. So, we've got, we've got lodging and we also have hotels. So.

Oh, is that what you're saying? Oh, I see what you, I see. Yeah. I mean, I like, I, I delivered it like this. I mean, I, I, I wrote it up. I bound it in a nice pretty wrapper. Then I handed it right to you. And you muffed it. You muffed it. And then I blamed it on you. Then I blamed you for not paying attention. Oh my gosh. That's funny.

So again, pretending like I'm not paying attention, but no, paying attention. Yes. Very much so. Very much so. I mean, I had that ruminating in my head for like 40 seconds there, biting my tongue on on the video. If you look carefully, you'll see me trying not to say it and but then having to give in. That's funny. You did great. You did great.

Well, Greg, I love you, brother. Great job tonight. Uh, thank you, sir. We got three more, three more sessions of this. Um, and if, and we'll figure out the rest of the details later. So, uh, y'all, y'all be, be well. Uh, shalom to all of you in your home. And, uh, many blessings to you guys as we approach the holy days. You know, I'm praying that everybody will have a meaningful, meaningful time this year. Lots of great changes, New Year's resolutions. That, that's how we've always seen them in the Christian world. I mean, this is like these, these, these are like Yom Kippur and these, these type of resolutions we take very seriously. So, okay. Um, Greg, have a great night. You all as well. Uh, be sure to, sir, to hit that like button, subscribe to the YouTube channel, turn on all notifications so you don't miss anything, and share these videos with your friends and we will catch you later. Peace.

Oh, by the way, if you do decide, sorry, last minute. If you do decide you want to be a part of this whole 10 year anniversary and you want to do a donation online, do it. But make sure you put a notification, a note in with your donation that says this is going towards the 10 year anniversary so I know where it belongs. The benefit of doing tickets is people, you know, how many people are coming because we're doing this randomly. You know, we have no clue if 10 people are going to be here or 200 people are going to be here. That's the danger. So, when y'all get here and there's no one here, you could blame me cuz I should, I should have charged people so they could buy tickets. My bad. Y'all have a good one. Shalom, everybody. Peace. Thank you. See you. Bye.
