Howdy, my name is Hasan Emmi Hutus, and I'm going to complete the competency 3 start roleplay. How are you?
I'm feeling a little, you know how I still ain't nervous. I kind of like, I found because I feel like I lost my cool a little bit because with the escalation chops I kind of, kind of felt under, and they kind of led me to lose focus a little bit, like this stuff. I was trying to get more time, so let's talk about the goals that we had set for ourselves last time. Do you want to go over those?
Yeah. So I know I really wanted to work on descriptive praise. I mean, no, I need to struggle a lot with that. I'm to be a lot more descriptive like the behavior that I want to see. The other one was trying to keep my cool, being calm and them saying instructions or not yelling. And then the third one is I'm using consequences, like I think the one does show the monsters are using possibly logical consequences. Okay, so yeah.
Okay, so tell me two things that you feel you did right.
Okay, so something that I feel like I did right were I think I was able to give her a lot of crazies when she was once was behaving, or gave her to showing me the behavior that I liked, and I was also able to talk to her at her level. I may get at her level, right? So I think those were the things that I felt really strongly about.
What are two things that you feel you could, you know, be better at and grow on?
I think using more of those coping regulation skills that we talked about before, because you know that he didn't, oh man, I kind of just lost it and kind of went back to my old ways.
Okay, say that for sure. Okay, and so that was two things, right? So what are, what are, what is something that you feel in that moment, like instead of doing, of losing your cool and kind of feeling that way, what's one thing that you feel like maybe could have been did a little different than that?
A little different than that is it still just my cold, will stay calm, ready, and 9:00, and I know I've tried to stay calm, but my face was it show you that. However, yeah, I think that calmness on my face as well, your voice was saying one thing, but your face saying something else, and just kind of those maybe there knows that we're talking about.
Okay, that's great. I totally feel, you know, I agree with your, you did an amazing job, you know, with praise, and you know that was really wonderful to come to kind of see that. And then, of course, I agree, those the negative is, you know, that makes communication that the child is getting whenever you should see she's caring when things you're seeing another. And so, but you're definitely on that, you are on that path where you're identifying your own, you know, straits and we know and the weaknesses that we all have and pinpointing those things, so that was really great.
What are so kind of alternative ways that we can kind of go through, you know, like you, you pretty much pinpointed those, you know, saying staying calm and just, you know, trying, trying the different techniques that you know we've been working on before, so incorporating that a little bit more and into that aspect there. So I know that you know the session, you know, you get overwhelmed, there's a lot going on. Does she have any someone observed?
Yeah, of course, we don't hang their hats; um, we're just kind of looking over your shoulder and just kind of see everything, right? And then what did I do this right? Did I do this wrong? So, of course, you know, I feel that you doing that once around all of that, but you know, you did an amazing job doing, you know, step by step, and you know, we're gonna definitely work on those. So how about we said, you know, kind of set some goals that either you want to keep some of these goals and you wanna add some new goals that way for next session we can kind of continue?
Okay, yeah, for sure. I think for some new goals I would definitely find ways to remain calm, so I guess I'm in that sense keeping calm and [Music] expressing and expressing that calmness room through what you know through my face as well, which can be very challenging for anyway. Yeah, and also, um, using more of the logical consequences because I did notice that I would go on to using time out a lot frequently, and I know I should use other methods. I, you know, those are the goals that we can continue, and we've just entered role-playing.
Here are two things I feel I did right was just checking in with the client, you know, making sure that you know she felt comfortable with what, what we were kind of discussing. Another thing, just you know, praising her a lot and just the, you know, how she was doing, how she, you know, even in those on the bad, just continuing to praise that.
Two things I could have done better I think is just going doing more of the exploration prompts, just exploring more of that and a little bit more and then seeking more alternatives. So thank you.
