Today, Ukraine is taking the war to the Russians. We saw just this morning that Ukraine carried out the largest attack ever on the FSB, striking a facility in occupied Crimea. There, over 100 FSB officers were eliminated, according to President Zilinski.
But in addition to that, Ukraine is creating new things like the Ruta, which can fly 2,000 km, 1,243 mi further than a tomahawk missile. This is going to take the war deeper inside of Russia. Today, the spear is aimed at the Kremlin's elites, and Ukraine is systematically hunting the military's brains. We saw just yesterday that 65 elite personnel were eliminated by Ukraine, taking out commanders of the elite Akmat unit. In addition to that, we are watching as the fires go from the barracks to the refineries and now 30% of Russia's gasoline has vanished. We are watching as the plants across Russia fall silent, and that is causing the tax fund of Russia to completely disappear. Ukraine is starving the Russian war machine and the Kremlin is today running on empty.
However, Ukraine's deep strikes. They're going further. They are causing all of Russia's stability to collapse. That's why today Vladimir Putin is forced to travel to China to beg for lifeline and come back empty-handed. The Chinese were unwilling to sign any gas deal. That means that today his survivability is now being called into question. Russia today is not in a strong position. It is in a weak position. It is one that Ukraine is systematically dismantling. And every day that we watch this war continue, we watch Ukraine's victory get nearer. But even more incredible, we are watching today as the hunter has finally become the prey.
My name is Dr. Jason Smart, my chief post special correspondent and a national security adviser. Today we're watching as Ukraine is take the ward Russia and that's something that the Russians had not anticipated. This 3-day special military operation has spiraled far out of control. Not only are the Russians not making gains in the Donbos or southern Ukraine, but they're failing to even keep it all together back at home. Ukraine is attacking the very nodes of logistics, of energy, of the power base of the Putin elite. And that's why today they're at war with each other. That's also why today we're watching their economy continues to implode. All this is happening as Vlad Putin is facing one failure after another and it's one that's putting him quite on edge. We see that he's become quite nervous. Then in public, he's showing that things are not well. And there's a reason for that. He understands that the clock is ticking. Without any sort of success soon, his entire house of cards could come tumbling down. And that's something that's becoming ever more likely, especially with what Ukraine has just done. So, let's dig into it. Let's look at what's going on now. Why it's changing this war. And why Vladimir Putin has every reason to be afraid.
Just one quick thing before we go ahead. Help us get this world. help us to get the world the truth of what is happening inside Ukraine and what's really happening inside of Russia. As you know, I live in Ukraine and I started this channel with my colleagues in Ukraine to help get the world the truth of what's happening there, but also what is happening inside of Russia. Help us to do that. Help us get the world why we should support Ukraine and stand up to Russia. Now, all I ask from you is this. Please subscribe to this channel now. Like this video. So, first and foremost, Ukraine has rolled out something new, and this is pretty fascinating. It's called the Rout, and it's a cheaper deep strike option than they've ever had. The short range, the Ruta, can go about 700 km or 435 mi. The long range goes 2,000 km, 1,243 mi. That would outrange the Tom Hawk by 1,600 km, 94 mi. And the Ruta incredibly can carry a warhead of 250 kg. That's 550 pounds. Now by comparison, a topic missile typically goes for about $1.3 million per missile. Isa, it's about 10 times less, working out to about $130,000 per missile. Russia then can face 10 Ukrainian missiles for every one tomahawk priced weapon. And that's the sort of math that Ukraine has used this whole war. Cheaper options, more effective options. The somat missile person they spent tens of millions of dollars in development of it and it continues to fail. Ukraine develops cheap and easy options options are inexpensive and given an edge over even western militaries as we've seen continuously. Even the United States that Britain have talked about the need to create cheaper alternatives that what they have now is simply too expensive for a longtime war. Ukraine though has already done that and it's done it successfully.
Look at the attacks that Ukraine has successfully carried out recently. Look at the attack that we just saw at Snishnney. Now that's where the Ukrainians were able to strike the 78th specialurposed motorized regiment for the Se Amed training center. Severe is the one tied to Kadir, the Chhatchin. But this Ukrainian attack at Sesnney, what makes it incredible is not just simply that they struck this facility, but the fact that they eliminated 65 of the elite cadets there. They're also able to get rid of the top colonel in charge of the facility. Incredibly enough, the Chuchchins had decided to store munitions below that very facility and they made the explosion even larger. But these sorts of attacks are pretty amazing because they're going after the supply line of troops to the front. The supply line of future officers of those units and that's something that has a very large down river effect.
But there's something sort of incredible here that's worth noticing and very few in the press have talked about. You might remember just a couple weeks ago we talked about here in this channel how there was an inside informant in this unit that within the chhatchins there is somebody passing information to the Ukrainians. Hence why there's been other successful attacks by Ukrainians on the chhatchins. Well, is it by coincidence that we saw this successful attack again that somehow the cheshhatchins are routinely being struck. Now as you know within Ukraine there's a very large unit of chhatchins fighting for the Ukrainians against Russia. They realize that Kady and his group they don't really represent Chetchia. Chachia wants independence. Kady, he is a traitor because he is the one sides with Putin. The regime that is hoping to suppress Chetchia. The reason that Chetchia is not a country today. But that's why today people realize that Russia is in a situation that is simply unwinable.
Russian probar channels are increasingly talked about the fact that nothing good is coming to Russia. In fact, Z channels like Rebar have recently accused Russians Ministry of Defense of reporting non-existent successes. Quote, that means that today they themselves recognize that all this sort of nonsense, the fact that today they are gaining in the Donbas is simply false. In fact, they've pointed out themselves that a lot of footage that's come out showing victories were actually filmed 25 km 16 miles away from the supposed locations. Russia is manufacturing fake victories to show their commanders. Just think about how incredible that is. That is a state of the Russian military today. That is all they have to show for themselves. They certainly cannot say they've done anything great like take the Kiev, but they can't even say that they've protected Russia's energy infrastructure. We've seen that Ukraine today has reportedly neutralized 30% of gasoline output in addition to reportedly neutralizing 25% of diesel output. The total offline capacity comes 83 million metric tonses per year. That equals about 227,000 metric tonses per year. Repeated shutdowns create fuel balancing problems across Russia and that's why today we are seeing it affect everybody in Russia.
Now at the same time as this is happening something else sort of interesting is happening and that's within Barus itself. We've seen now that the United States is offering Barus what could be a lifeline for an interesting compromise. What they're offering is pach which is necessary for the bar Russians. They need it for the hard currency. They want to sell it to the Americans. By selling to the Americans, it would gain cash. But the Americans view this somehow differently. They think that more than that, this could help pull Luc Shenko away from Moscow. As you know, Lucenko and Putin are like Siamese twins. They're always with each other. But in this case, we just saw Lucenko recently released 500 political prisoners. looks at this point that he might be looking at option of doing something different from Putin from turning away because it is his economic interest to simply get the cash that Moscow can't offer him anymore. Historically, Barus has been able to rely on Moscow when it's short on the dough, but now they can't really do that. And considering what we just saw in China, they won't be able to count on the Russians anytime soon.
We just saw how Vladimir Putin was in Beijing and he met with Xi Japing. And despite the fact that Putin went there with top level, really the very elite of his entire cabinet, he came back empty-handed. When you look through the documents that they released, and it's pretty amazing. It's on the official government website. You could see that there's a lot of memorandums of understanding that the different ministries plan future cooperation or that they respect each other and plan future cooperation. But what's in the hands? What would the Russians and the Chinese be doing again tomorrow? How will things improve? The fact is there is nothing that they signed. There is no success whatsoever. Vladimir Putin's singular dream, the one that he keeps traveling to China for. Actually, in fact, he's met she over 40 times. And this has come up in a huge number of those meetings is something called the power of Siberia too. That's the pipeline they want to build to have Leng Xi go directly to China from Russia. In fact, the Chinese, they've said for years they want it. They're just not willing to pay for it. The Chinese are demanding that the Russians sell them this gas at the same cost that Russia charges its own population domestically. That is, the Chinese want to pay virtually nothing. That's something that of course Moscow can't afford to do. It needs to make a profit from this. It has very few angles. Gas is one of those angles. So giving this up would be a huge loss. To give you an idea of how much of a different price it is, the side comparison that's often used is that they want to pay about $50 per unit. The market value the Chinese should be paying, it's about $258 per unit. Given the fact that they want a 81% discount, can we really be surprised? The Russians think it's unreasonable. But Putin, what can he do? He brings all of his heavyweights. He brought five vice premers. He brought eight ministers. And he left with 40 documents, not one of them mentioning gas.
However, Vladimir Putin, he's facing some setbacks right now that are rapidly going to catch up with him. and that is that his police are simply unable to slow down. They love to arrest people. They love to harass people. But recently they decided harassing the Muslim minority would be a good idea. Now to give you an idea of how large it is within Russia, up to perhaps a quarter of Moscow maybe Muslim. Within Russia as a whole, it's perhaps 16% of the population. The numbers are not exact. But either way, they are definitely much more pious and much more practicing than the average Orthodox in Russia. But today, the police have started harassing them. harassing them is having a chain effect. Across the country, you're watching as the population of Muslims believes that the government is working against them, that the government does not respect them. And that's something that Moscow could very well begin to regret because Moscow was hoping they would able to mobilize many of these people. Keep in mind, they're generally from places like Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Central Asia. So, when these people are rounded up and sent off the military, they're hoping that nobody would notice. But today, these people are realizing the Russian government isn't really on their side and doesn't really treat them with respect. And it's a good thing that they feel because it's true, but also because that means it'll be harder for the Russian military to keep it all together. During the course of this war, we've seen routinely there have been problems with the minorities in the Russian military. They somehow realize that maybe the Russians are treating them like cannon fodder, which in fact they are. And that's why it's becoming harder for the Russians to continue fighting this war because internally it doesn't have the money for it. It doesn't have the enough soldiers for it. But Russia as a whole is a basket case barely able to keep it together. Vladimir Putin today is in a very difficult situation. A situation they very clearly does not have a solution for. But even more important and even better than that is that it's getting so much worse day by day.
Check out the first pink comment below with a question of the day. Right below that you'll see how you can donate for our new fundraiser to help the Ukrainian soldiers get what they need to be able to come home alive. Thank you.
So, as we watch this, as we watch what's really going on inside of Russia, it becomes ever more clear of Putin is on a one-way ticket to destruction. The Putin regime can simply not handle all these different pressures at one time. Ukraine is innovating. Ukraine is inventing. Ukraine is winning this war. Vladimir Putin's days are running out. Check out this video to see more. As always, thank you for supporting Ukraine.
