7 Players I Would GO TO WAR FOR In Fantasy This Year

Well, I just watched The Odyssey. So, you know what we're doing today. Seven players that I would sail through hell with. All right, Cyclopses, bad training camp reports, I don't care. For better or worse, I am so in it's not even funny. And towards the end I've got my favorite quarterback wide receiver stack as well to tell y'all about.

First player, again, that I would just back, I would go to war for, I would sail through hell with, he's going to cost you big time, but I honestly think he could be one of the most coveted players in all of fantasy football 2026. That is Brock Bowers. He's going to cost you a second-round pick. He is the one exception really at tight end this year for me where I'm willing to pay up at his early price. I don't even know if I'm willing to pay for McBride this year, but Brock Bowers, I really am.

First off, don't forget. Okay, I think we often forget in fantasy football. Don't forget what he is capable of doing. As a rookie, think about this, as a rookie, he set the all-time record for targets. 153 targets that year, 26 more than second place, which was Jeremy Shockey in his rookie season in 2002. I mean, guys, in 2024, again, as a rookie, Brock Bowers had more targets than CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Davante Adams. I mean, he was an absolute superstar even as a rookie. Tyreek Hill, guys, the only wide receivers with more targets than he had in his rookie season uh was Ja'Marr Chase, Malik Nabers, Drake London, Justin Jefferson, Garrett Wilson. That's the entire listed list. He also set the all-time rookie record for tight ends in receptions with 112, 22 more than second place again. The only wide receivers with more receptions than him that year, Ja'Marr Chase and Amon-Ra St. Brown. He had almost 1,200 receiving yards. He set the record there. As a rookie scored 15.4 PPR points per game. The only tight end that has done that in the last two and a half decades again in their rookie season.

Last year was just it was as lucky as a season could possibly be. Okay, he missed four games with the knee injury that definitely hurt him and the offense was just completely dysfunctional. I mean, they were near the bottom of the league in things like passing yards, passing touchdowns, yards per attempt, sacks allowed, they were dead last. Across the board, they just could not sustain drives. Second to last in scoring rate, second to last in yards per drive, and points per drive. And this year the offense could be drastically better. It should be drastically better, actually. You bring in Kirk Cousins, a veteran presence. Kirk Cousins, who by the way, has plenty of awesome tight end seasons in his career. Remember back to Jordan Reed with when he was with Washington, T.J. Hockenson in Minnesota. Just last year he heavily he heavily favored Kyle Pitts in Atlanta. Now, Drake London was injured to be fair, but with Kirk Cousins, Kyle Pitts averaged 14 points per game, without him just 9 and 1/2. If Cousins is benched for Fernando Mendoza, great. That means Fernando Mendoza is a better quarterback than what Kirk Kirk Cousins is today. And you know, they've also hired Clint Kubiak. I honestly feel like Brock Bowers could be the ultimate cheat code in 2026 fantasy football drafts. I'm willing to follow that man into the night.

Okay. Another guy we're talking about going into battle. Uh there's not another NFL player with if I was going into a real war that I would want more on my team than Derrick Henry. Yes, he's an old man, but I am not 100% sure uh that we should be discounting him just because of his age. Currently being drafted as the RB12 in real land community drafts, which I host on our channel here for land members, which is understandable. Like given the age, he's a late second round pick. Here's the thing though, okay? When we're looking at a name like Derrick Henry, he hasn't finished lower than RB8. RB8, guys. He hasn't finished lower than that in the past 4 years. In fact, he has finished as the RB9 or better in seven of his last eight seasons. The only year he didn't hit that mark was 2021, when he played just eight games, but even in that season, he scored over 24 points per game, the RB1 on a points per game basis. So, look, we have to stop pretending that we can use historical data to predict when Derrick Henry will fall off. Of course, he will fall off at some point. He is human, but he is not a normal human, so we can't pretend like data says historically this is where running backs fall off. No, he's not a normal human. He's an absolute superstar freak athlete, right? And here's the thing, he hasn't fallen off at all. He's still one of the best running backs in the entire league. That's not hyperbole, it's true. There isn't really a single area where he dominates in, where he's taken a step back. Out of 65 running backs last year with 50 rushing attempts, he was top four in attempts, second in rushing yards, second in touchdowns, fourth in yards per carry, as well as yard yards after the contact per attempt, sixth in breakaway rate, fourth in runs of 10 or more yards. He did that in a season where Lamar Jackson missed and or left in at least 10 games. I mean, the Ravens offense as a whole suffered big time with him missing last year. They were 16th in yards, they were first the year before when Lamar was healthy, 11 in points scored last year, 23rd in first downs, third the year before that. Think about how many stalled drives we had last year for the Baltimore Ravens offense just because Lamar Jackson and this and this offense as a whole wasn't able to be all that effective and efficient without him, right? And his start of the season in 2026 is about as enticing as it can possibly get. Warren Sharp's strength of schedule tool, which by the way, is determined by many factors, none of which are based on last year's performance. It's a great strength of schedule tool, a lot of analytics and efficiency there. It gives Baltimore the fourth easiest schedule against rushing defenses from week two to 11. To begin the year, they have some great matchups like the Dallas Cowboys, the Titans, the Atlanta Falcons. In the first five weeks, no other team in the NFL has a higher projected team point total per game than the Baltimore Ravens. I just feel as if he's a fantastic pick. And by the way, I did an entire video about this on my channel where I look at the first five weeks of the NFL season, Vegas lines, strength of schedule from Warren Sharp. If you want to watch that video, it's on the channel. You can go check it out. You can see the title here on your screen. But if you're at the front of your draft board this year, and let's say you take an elite wide receiver in round one like Ja'Marr Chase at the 1.03 for example, there is very few running backs that I would rather target than Derrick Henry with my second late second round pick at that 2.10 spot. He is the perfect complement to an elite wide receiver in round number one. Has a legitimate shot to finish top six this year.

I'm showing you my 2026 ultra cheat sheet by the way, which thousands and thousands of you guys used last year. It shows you the best players on the clock every time you're on the board. It shows you ADP from ever whatever platform you're on, ADP from real community drafts that I do. We've got strategy tabs. It really is the best cheat sheet in the industry. You can print the rankings off if you want. You can get that by simply becoming a promo code land season pass member. It'll grade every pick as you go as well. And you'll hear my thoughts. You'll never need to know what I think. You'll know exactly what my rankings say. Again, check out the link in the pinned comment to support the show, become a season pass member with the code land.

Okay, let's move on to a wide receiver entering the third year of their career. Very interesting conversation to have here. This one kind of hurts my heart because I am a massive Luther Burden stand. A lot of you guys would know that. And it hurts my heart because of the implications. But Rome Odunze, we're going to talk about Rome Odunze. I absolutely loved Rome as a prospect coming into the NFL, but I think the community is just overcorrecting his price compared to Luther Burden in 2026. You might be saying, "Zack, what do you mean overcorrecting? Overcorrecting to what?" Well, in early June, we got this quote from Rome, where he said, "This is my new normal." Talking about his his foot that had an injury last year, and it's not from a standpoint that I'm always in pain, but the way my foot broke, there's calluses in there that create a different type of foot structure with those bones. Everybody has been talking about this. Everybody and their dog and their mom's been talking about this. Since that moment, Rome has drastically fallen in real draft ADP. In all the real drafts that are happening, I mean, he's falling like a a rock. As of right now, if you combine ESPN, Yahoo, and Best Ball ADP, Burden is a late fourth-round pick, Odunze is an early sixth-round pick. In my Real Land community drafts, again, which you can be a part of if you're a season pass member with the code land, you'll see Luther Burden is going ahead of Rome Odunze in every draft this year, 100% of the time. In fact, the most recent draft, someone took Burden at 46 overall. Meanwhile, Rome Odunze falls to 70th overall. I have Rome ranked in this big bucket of wide receivers that I love. You can move him anywhere in this tier. I got him ranked right around 29. Could be as high as 23. Look, there's absolutely every reason to have a concern about re-injury risk here with that foot, but that is already baked into the price for a guy who might just be the top scoring receiver on his team. He might outscore his teammate, who I love, Luther Burden. It pains me to even say that that could be a possibility. The problem is, with a guy like Luther Burden, who I love, is everybody just keeps bumping up what it means to be in on these young players that we project for huge breakouts. I mean, we do it every year. I don't know what's up with this industry, but Burden is the latest case. Two months ago, to be in, it was like, "Oh, yeah, I'm drafting him in the sixth round with confidence." A month ago, it was like, "Oh, I'm taking him in the fifth." Today, you got to be in the fourth round and draft this guy if you really are in. Like it's like you aren't cool enough if you don't have him ranked higher than everybody else in the industry. Rondale Moore could easily outscore him if he's healthy this year, even though I love him. Here's what we know for sure. Number one, Rondale Moore has been practicing in full this entire off-season. There has been no issues with him being at OTAs, mini camp, all that. He's all on track to be completely fine week one. Number two, what we know is when he was healthy last year, he was an absolute superstar. From weeks one to four before their bye week, almost 20 points per game, a 27% target share. He was absolutely incredible. I want to be a part of the Chicago Bears offense. I really do. It's one of the better offenses in the NFL this year. But the cheapest way to do that is not Cole Kmet and Laviska Shenault in round four. It's not Cole Kmet and Laviska Shenault and sorry, Jonathan Mingo in round four. It's not Swift in round five. It's Rondale Moore in round six, okay? It's That's just how I feel and I'm going to ride with Rondale Moore. I'll have plenty of stock of him this year.

Okay, another player. This is actually Rondale Moore's previous teammate. Let's talk about DJ Moore. To be honest with you guys, I thought after the Buffalo Bills trade, I thought he would just be priced way too high to invest in in 2026, but there has been no hype whatsoever. He's going two to two and a half rounds after Zay Flowers, two rounds after Tank Dell, a round after Jonathan Mingo. I love all those players, but are we really positive that he's not going to just score kind of what they're going to give you? Like are we sure there's a difference between Zay Flowers and DJ Moore? Jonathan Mingo and DJ Moore? Prices are showing you that there's a difference. Are we sure that that's actually the case? Here's what DJ has going for him. Traded for a respectful draft capital, right? He was traded for a second round pick. He's connected to one of the best quarterbacks in the entire NFL in Josh Allen, who had the number one completion percentage last year, seventh in passing yards, fifth in quarterback rating. We know that there's little to no competition in this offense. Unquestionably, this is the best wide receiver Josh Allen has played with since Stefon Diggs left. That doesn't mean that DJ Moore is as good as Stefon Diggs was, obviously, because if he was, we'd all be drafting him in the second round, but look at the competition. What? Khalil Shakir, Josh Palmer, Keon Coleman? Are you kidding me? What we also know is he's got a play caller who has trusted him before. Joe Brady is the offensive coordinator for the Bills. Sorry, he's actually the play caller. He's the head coach now, but he was also the play caller for Carolina from 2020 to 2021. In those 2 years, DJ Moore averaged 14 points per game. He had 7.9 and 9.6 targets per game. He had a 25% and a 28% target share in those 2 years. Look, 14 points per game, that's not a league winner, but keep in mind he did that in Carolina with Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Darnold before he figured it out, the ghost of Cam Newton. The sell for me is very easy with DJ Moore. Clear wide receiver one, top two quarterback in real life, and elite offense at a extremely affordable price. He's probably the most discounted wide receiver that could legitimately finish top 15 in 2026 fantasy football.

Okay, at the beginning of the video, I told you guys that I'm going to show you my favorite quarterback wide receiver stack. I'm going to do that in a second. If you guys are enjoying the video, do me a favor, hit the like button and subscribe. Hype if you're on mobile. I'm trying to get to 100K before week one. Very audacious goal, but with your help, I do think we can get there. Let's talk about my favorite stack this year. That is Brock Purdy and Mike Evans.

Starting off with Brock, aka BCB, if you know, you know. Look, Brock Purdy is not the sexy name for fantasy football, okay? But he is incredibly underrated. I want to remind you guys that in 2025, the 49ers top right wide receiver was not a wide receiver, it was CMC, who, yeah, is the best receiving running back of our generation, but still he had very little help from the weapon uh category. George Kittle missed six games, Ricky Pearsall missed eight, Ja'Quan missed two, Brandon Aiyuk was doing Tokyo drift outside the stadium instead of playing football for his team. Now, to be fair, Purdy himself missed eight games with his own injury, so there was some crossover there, but still with so few weapons, Purdy was able to average 19.7 points per game, completed almost 70% of his passes, finished second in passing touchdowns per game. For fantasy he outperformed two studs on a points per game basis and Caleb Williams and Jalen Hurts, who at the moment are going anywhere from like two to three rounds ahead of him in ADP in real land drafts. Again, with my community, he's going off the board at the 908, 104th overall. The best part, in 2026, Brock Purdy, his weapons are way better. He has a huge upgrade at wide receiver, specifically bringing in Mike Evans, who is a huge touchdown threat. Speaking of Mike, we love Mike in the stack. This is the best environment that he has walked into for a long time. I mean, this offense operates at a very high rate through the year. This passing attack last year, third in completion percentage, top five in passing yards, top four in passing touchdowns. Perfect environment for him to step into. Last year, they scored at a top three rate. They had the fifth most points and yards per drive. And Brock Purdy had the second highest touchdown rate amongst quarterbacks last year, only Stafford had a higher touchdown rate. In 2023, Brock Purdy led the league in touchdown rate. You've got an elite offense, okay? You've got a quarterback that throws touchdowns at a high rate, a wide receiver who has made a decade-plus long career of catching a a lot of touchdowns. Only Davante Adams has scored more receiving touchdowns than Mike Evans since 2014. Mike has finished as a top 17 wide receiver in 11 of his 12 seasons, has finished top 14 in 10 of his last 12 seasons. I believe there is still one top 12 to 15 season out there for Mike Evans and that could be this year in San Francisco.

Okay. Final player that I am going into battle for is Mr. Rachaad White. I've talked about him a lot this off season. Easily my favorite late round running back this year. Like if anybody is going to be Javonte Williams this year from last year, Rachaad White is probably my bet to make on that. I do think the only reason he signed with Washington in free agency free agency is because of the connection he had with Jayden Daniels at Arizona State. In 2021, they were the two best players on that team. Uh that year they combined for 1,700 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. Rachaad White was also the wide receiver two on that team behind Ricky Pearsall where he put up 43 catches and 456 yards. We've seen Rachaad lead a backfield in the in the league before. 15.8 points per game in 2023. Despite a disappointing offense, the Commanders still found a way to deliver on the ground last year. They just have this inbuilt really good rushing attack. And in general, I'm just wondering where is this target share going to in Washington this year? I mean their top two target earners Debo and Zach Ertz are gone. I could easily see Rachaad White having a career high in target share. Like a 13% target share, somewhere around the 60 to 75 targets is completely realistic for Rachaad. And if he gets like the workhorse treatment with the connection to Jayden Daniels, again, he could easily be this year's Javonte Williams.
