CHINA IS DUMPING U.S. BONDS AS THE MARKET BREAKS: Gold & Silver's Violent August Setup

The Hidden Economy 9:56

Transcription

There's a specific kind of moment in markets that almost nobody recognizes while it is happening and only becomes obvious years later when everyone asks how they missed it. It is the moment when the thing everyone believes is safe quietly begins to break at the exact same time that the thing everyone believes is finished quietly begins to bottom.

That is the moment we are standing in right now at the very end of July heading into what I believe is going to be a violent August because two things are happening simultaneously and they are far more connected than the mainstream will ever tell you.

On one side, the United States bond market, the largest, most important market on Earth. The supposed bedrock of the entire financial system is starting to come apart at the seams. Yields are breaking higher. The biggest foreign holder is heading for the exits. And the debt traps that analysts have warned about for years are finally springing shut.

And on the other side, at that exact moment, gold and silver are showing every classic sign of putting in a major bottom with the speculative money almost completely washed out. Most people see those as two separate stories. They are not. They are the same story told from two ends. And in this video, I'm going to show you why the breaking of the bond market and the bottoming of the metals are the same event. Why China quietly telling its banks to sell treasuries is a signal you cannot ignore. and why I think August is going to be far wilder than anyone is prepared for. Let us get into it.

Welcome back to the hidden economy. Subscribe if you are new and one quick ask. This is a oneperson channel and I put hours into each of these breakdowns. So if that hype button is on your screen, one tap, it genuinely helps push this out. Okay, let us go.

First, let me explain what is actually happening in the bond market because this is the part the headlines refuse to make simple. When a government wants to borrow money, it sells a bond, which is just a promise to pay you back with interest. For decades, US government bonds were considered the safest asset in the entire world. The thing every bank, every pension fund, every foreign country parked their money in because everyone was certain they would always get paid. But safety in a bond comes down to one thing. Does the market still want to hold it? And right now, more and more of the biggest holders are quietly deciding they do not.

The most important one is China. China has for years been one of the largest holders of US government debt on the planet. And now, according to the reporting, China has all but instructed its own banks to sell those US treasuries, openly signaling that it considers them too risky to keep holding. Think about how enormous that is. The second largest economy on Earth, one of America's biggest creditors, is stepping away from the table and telling its banks the safest asset in the world is now too dangerous to own.

And it is not just China. Japan, which for decades was the great exporter of capital to the rest of the world, funding everyone else's debt, is now reversing that flow under guidance from its own finance ministry. So the two biggest sources of foreign demand for Western government debt are pulling back at the same time. And when the buyers step away, there is only one thing a bond can do to attract new ones. The price falls and the yield rises. That is exactly what is happening.

And this is where it becomes a trap. A real mechanical inescapable trap. And you need to understand why. because it is the engine of everything that is coming. When yields rise, it means the government has to pay more interest on every new dollar it borrows. But these governments are already drowning in debt. Borrowing just to pay the interest on the debt they already have. So higher yields mean a bigger interest bill, which means a bigger deficit, which means even more borrowing, which floods the market with even more bonds that nobody wants, which pushes yields even higher. Round and round it goes, tighter and tighter. That is what analysts mean when they say the debt traps are springing.

And it is not only the United States. The same trap is closing on Japan, on the United Kingdom, which is about to get a new leader promising to spend even more on welfare while its tax base is already stretched to breaking on France and Italy buried in debt while Germany's economy actually contracts. Bond yields on the 10-year, the benchmark that everything is priced off, have been coiling in a rising pattern for years and are now pushing up toward the top of that range, threatening to break out to the upside. And when the cost of money for the most indebted governments in history breaks higher, that is not a small technical event. That is the ground shifting under the entire financial system.

If this is landing for you, take a second and tap that like button. It tells me these breakdowns are worth the hours they take.

Now, here is the part that will genuinely change how you see your own wealth, and it is the single most important idea in this video. So, stay with me. Right now, if you own gold or silver, you're probably looking at the price in dollars and feeling like you have lost money. Because in dollar terms, gold and silver have pulled back hard this year. That feeling is real, but it is based on a hidden assumption that almost nobody questions. The assumption that the dollar is the fixed reliable ruler you should measure everything against.

But think about what a dollar actually is. It is not money in the historical sense. It is credit. It is a promise issued by a government and it carries the risk of that government. The risk that they print far more of it. The risk that they debase it to escape the very debt trap we just described. So when you measure your gold in dollars and see a lower number, what you are really seeing is gold measured against a ruler that is itself being stretched and manipulated.

Here is the other way to see it. If you measure your gold in gold, you still have exactly the same amount of gold you started with. And it carries no counterparty risk. Nobody can print more of it. Nobody can default on it. Nobody can debase it. As one of the most famous economists in history warned over a hundred years ago, not one man in a million is able to diagnose the destruction caused by debasing the currency. And that is still true today. There are managers overseeing $140 trillion who still measure everything in the very credit that is being destroyed and cannot see the danger they are standing in. The people who account in gold are not panicking right now. They still have their gold. It is everyone measuring their wealth in a breaking promise. Who should be worried?

Now, let me connect this directly to why gold and silver are set up to explode. Because the bond market breaking is not separate from the metals bottoming. It is the cause of it. When bonds are no longer safe, when the debt trap is springing and governments have only one way out, which is to print money to buy their own bonds and force those yields back down, that printing is the single most powerful fuel for gold and silver that exists. It is the moment the world stops trusting paper promises and reaches for the one form of money that cannot be printed.

And look at where the metals are positioned for exactly that moment. The speculative money in the paper gold market measured by something called open interest has collapsed to long-term lows. In plain terms, all the fast money, all the leverage traders who pushed the price around have already sold and left. There's almost nobody left to sell. And that is precisely the condition from which violent bottoms launch. Because when the sellers are gone and the physical buyers, the central banks, keep accumulating, price does not drift higher. It snaps higher.

And that is exactly what the biggest players are doing. China and Russia are accumulating physical gold hand over fist both in their official reserves and quietly off the books because they can see the same thing we are describing. A western financial system where the debt is breaking and the currency is the release valve. They are not measuring their future in dollars. They are trading the breaking promise for the metal that outlasts every empire.

Now, my honest take because a video about a violent August and a breaking bond market demands a cool head. And I will always give you one. First, violent means violent in both directions. When I say expect a wild August, I do not mean gold and silver go straight up. I mean volatility, sharp moves, gut-wrenching swings, and if the bond stress triggers a broader scramble for cash, metals can get hit first before they soar. We have seen that pattern twice this year. So do not confuse a bottoming process with a guaranteed rocket that pays next week.

Second, bond markets can stay stressed and still not fully break for longer than seems possible. Governments have tools, interventions, and tricks to delay the reckoning. So the timing of the real break is genuinely unpredictable even when the direction is not.

Third, the levels still rule the short term on this channel. Silver holding its major support and gold holding its own on a weekly closing basis keeps this thesis clean. lose them and the near term gets rougher regardless of how bullish the big picture is. And I will tell you that on camera. This is not financial advice. I am not a financial adviser. This is my analysis. Do your own research and never hold a position that a violent month can shake you out of at the worst possible moment.

But step all the way back and look at what is really happening here because it is historic and it is unfolding in plain sight while the West dozes through the summer. The safest asset in the world is being quietly abandoned by the very countries that funded it for decades. The debt traps are springing shut on every major government at once. Yields are breaking higher, which tightens the noose and forces the printing press that destroys the currency. And at that exact moment, gold and silver are sitting at a bottom with the sellers exhausted and the most powerful buyers on earth quietly loading up. The crowd looks at a lower dollar price on their gold and feels poor. But the crowd is measuring their wealth with a ruler that is being burned.

When the bond market finally breaks, and I believe August is when the cracks become impossible to ignore, the world will rediscover in a matter of weeks what China and Russia already know, that there's only one kind of money that does not depend on somebody else's promise. This is not gold and silver falling. This is the paper world starting to crack and the real money getting ready to move.

So, tell me in the comments, and I read every single one. Question one, be honest. Do you measure your wealth in dollars, or have you started thinking in gold and silver? And did this video change the way you see that? Tell me the truth. And question two, on the record, does the US 10-year yield break decisively higher in August? Yes or no? Put your call down so we can come back to it together. Sharpest and most honest answers get pinned.

And if this video connected the bond market and the metals into one picture for you, drop a like, tap that hype button, and subscribe to the hidden economy because August is going to be violent. The cracks are already showing and every twist of it gets broken down right here calmly and clearly while everyone else is still asleep in the summer heat.
