Hi, my name is Trina Olsen, and I really am encouraged to share with you today. I am super excited that as I share what God has done in my life, where he has brought me out of, and where he is taking me, that as you hear my story and hear what God is doing in my life today, that it will encourage you to go into all the world and proclaim the gospel everywhere you go, and to heal the sick, that cast out demons, raise the dead, and set at liberty the captives, cuz he did it in me, and he can do it in you. So I want to share with you. This is amazing, like you can do this everywhere you go. Okay, so just going to be simple ones, okay? These are simple moments. This is crazy.
So I am in an airport, a big metropolitan airport, and I feel that the police officer has a back problem. I'm in heavy traffic, a lot of people were honking their horns, wanting to go through the traffic to drop off people at the airport, and you know that situation. So I wound down the window. I'm at the beginning of the line too, and there's a lot of people behind me. I'm backing up traffic by stopping, and and I yelled at the police officer, said, "Hey, do you got a lower back problem?" And he says, "I sure do." And I said, "Well, God wants to heal it today." And he walks over, he says, "I know you heard from the Lord." And he he stops traffic, and he lets me pray for him, and his back gets completely healed, just like that. God can use you.
Like there's this moment where I'm walking down this, um, really bad section of town, and it was so bad that my friends pray that that God would save us from any stray bullets. And so we're in this area, and we're seeing God show up left and right, like, and our confidence is building as we're seeing God give us words of knowledge and in the prophetic, and we're just seeing God shine the whole way. And all of a sudden, we're at this porch, and I leap up on this porch, and there's a board in front of me, and and there's two pit bulls on the back side of the board. And so I knew not to go past that point. And my, and I had no idea what I was going to say. And you know, God says, "Don't practice what you're going to say." And so all of a sudden, my finger goes this way, and it points, and we're at a drug house. So my finger points, and I hear myself say, "You have a shoulder problem." And and he's like, "How do you know?" And he's, he's freaked out. And so he's about to flee into the open door. And I said, "It's your right, it's your left shoulder, and God wants to heal you today. He sent me from Pennsylvania here today to heal your shoulder." And I pray for his shoulder, and he's like, "Oh my gosh, how do you know? How do you know?" He's like, "Crazy." Like, and so I get this prophetic word for him, and it's really good. I don't remember what it was. But my friend, it's like one, two punch. And so she, she jumps into the scene, and she said, "Hey, how long has it been since God gave you a dream to own your own body shop?" And he's like, "So scared." He runs down to the other end of the porch. He says, "How do you all know this? Like, really, seriously, these are all my friends, and none of them know that dream. How do you know that dream?" God can give you dreams. God can show you things about people. God can show you what can unlock their heart.
And so we let him marinate a little bit. And next girl, I said, "Hey, you have a lower back problem." And she's like, "How do you know?" She gets healed. Next one, my friend tag teams with me, and she said, "How long has it been since you, um, injured your ankle and you can't run anymore?" "How do you know?" She starts crying. Like, and one after another, it's like a love Uzi down this porch. And so this guy's watching all of his friends get touched by the Lord. So in the midst of it, when we get to the end, we, we ask him, like, "Hey, what's going on with your shoulder? How did, how did it all happen?" And he says, "Two tours in Iraq for our country." We don't know how the shoulder injury happened. You know, we don't know ins and outs about anything, but we know that God wanted to heal him and love on him. And so he got set free of anger, and he also, um, got healed of PTSD that day. And so as we are seeing all this happen, they're like, "Hey, there's a, there's a rainbow, upside down rainbow in the sky, like a rare phenomena." Phenomena. God, God showed you a rare phenomena, and it's an upside down rainbow, and it's smiling. And said, "That's God. He loves you so much. He's smiling on you all."
And so all this is going on, and these people across the street, where my friends have never been able to minister yet, they said, "Hey, why don't you come on over? We want to hear what's going on." Like, "Come over to our side." They've never been invited over there. They never ministered on that side. We get invited because God is showing up. And so as we're walking down the sidewalk, this, this guy walks past me, and his spirit says, "Don't you dare touch me. I'm going to kill you. I'll kill you." Do I'm not going to touch you. I just keep on walking. Just be love, you know, walk over to the other side of the street. And, um, you know, and not letting that affect where I'm going right now. And so I'm just sharing what God's putting on my heart for this young man. And all of a sudden, he looks up at me, and this is what I love. Like, I live to hear this. He said, "I want to know this God." You know, that man, that just wrecks you. And I said, "You accepted him a few years ago." I said, "But they forgot to give you the power to walk out your salvation. Can I pray for the baptism of Holy Spirit?" And in the midst, I'm praying for the baptism of Holy Spirit, God falls on this young man in the midst of a low-income, less than area that most people won't go into. God takes us into this place to bring hope and bring life. And this guy gets touched on his porch.
And so in the midst of all that, the big guy comes back, and he's standing on the porch, and and he's preaching like a, I think someone said he's using Leviticus, and like he's preaching like a Baptist pastor in a summer, hot summer revival, and like he's really, really good. Like, I think everyone would be on their face. Like, and so he's the one that walked past me and said, "If you touch me, you're going to die." Like, so I'm like, I can leap off the porch and run, but if he has a gun, I'm done, you know? So I just had this boldness, and I walked over to him, and I said, "Hey, do you have a lower back problem?" And he says, "I perceive that thou art a prophet." This. And I'm like, "What?" Like, I'm like, "I don't know what you call me, but I'm the daughter of the Most High." I said, "And he went to hurt your back, and I get to pray for him. I get to lay hands on him, and I don't die." It's amazing. Like, so I'm believing that the next day, when he comes off of his high, that his friends were able to share with him the rest of the story, and we weren't able to find out whether he got healed or not, but I didn't die, and we got to go home, and it was amazing.
But as we're leaving, I got to share, like, I prayed, like, "God, let them have a Bible study or something, you know, because they're probably not going to go to the church, but they, both sides of the street encountered you. Let them continue to encounter you." Here, a friend of mine moves into that area not too long after that with his two small babies and his wife, and they end up having house church in that same area for about, I don't know, five, four or five years, six years. So you never know when you're a beginning of something that's about ready to happen.
So I get to see this stuff a lot. Every day I travel over 300 days a year. Um, I'm always empowering, encouraging, and uplifting people, and I, we teach them how to do this while I'm out in the streets. Like the other day, I got a chance to teach, um, this young lady's 14 years old. I got to pray for the baptism of Holy Spirit over her, and I shared with her about, you know, taking us back to the scriptures and reading the book of Acts, but particularly I shared a couple scriptures to read, and I said, "Acts 19 is really a key one where they were believers." So Paul didn't doubt that they were believers. I know that you're a believer. And I said, but in that, Paul said, um, he said, "Did you, um, when you were, when you believed, did you receive the baptism of Holy Spirit?" And they said, "No, we hadn't even heard of him." So in the midst of that, like, that's that's key. And he said, "No, we hadn't even heard of him." So Paul lays hands on on the disciples there, 12 disciples, it's about 10 to 15 years after Jesus goes to the cross, and you know, they're, they're called disciples. So in the midst of it, he lays hands on them, they don't just get the power of God that Jesus promised them back in Acts one that pours out in Acts two, but they also prophesied and they speak in tongues. So I believe that the power of God is also activating the gifts of the Spirit where we have discernment, we have prophetic, but we also have the gift of tongues, and you know, all the, the different gifts are are flowing after you get the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I'm not saying you don't have a portion of that prior, but it's important to always stay filled, and it's not just a one-time feeling.
So I got to share this in the midst of an ice cream shop. You can do this in the midst of an ice cream shop. Share what God shows you, and watch the favor and the opportunities. When you see God move just a little bit, God can give you a lot. And so it was 30 seconds of seeing someone get healed that opened the door for us to pray for everyone at the table, and then opened the door then for me to share about Acts 19. So you get to do that.
So let me take you back to where I came from. And so I had a lot of tragedy happened in my family, and in a short period of time, I lost my sister in a drunk driving accident. My dad was killed in a work-related accident. Then, um, within three and a half years, then my niece was killed in a drunk driving accident. She was four years old, sitting in the backseat of her mom's car, and they were hit by a drunk driver. And so all that happening ripped my teenage years apart, and I, I just, I felt like inside of me that it should have been me. Like I was the least likely person to ever succeed, and I had no hope and no no worth inside of me, and I wished that it would have been me. And so I lived in that place for until I was 38 years old. Um, even though I accepted Jesus when I was 20, there was no fruit in my life from 20 to 38 for, for 18 years. I served in the church, I catered in the church, I worked in the Welcome Center, wore the dresses and the skirts, and I did the beautiful thing. I carried my Bible, and you know, carried it strong, but I couldn't read the thing because it didn't, I couldn't comprehend what I read.
So in the midst of all that, um, I am committing suicide one day, and as my car is going up an embankment, I'm thanking God for finally giving me the credit to come, to the courage to finish my life off. And in the midst of that, I believe God's like, "You're not giving me credit for that." And I really do believe that I had no relationship with the Father in that moment. I didn't know the Lord that I professed, and I believed that I was going to hell in that moment. And God saved my life, and he turned my car around, pulled it back on the highway without wrecking, and he said, "You can continue to be stupid, but I have a plan for your life." The car was filled with the Holy Spirit, and my life was forever changed. And the person who was on that embankment committing suicide, Trina, died that day, and and I don't recognize who she was. I don't, in that moment, my life was forever changed in a heartbeat, an instant. Like, who I, who I was, I don't know, but now I'm learning to become who I was always created to be. And so in that moment, God changed my life.
And so everything was totally changed. Like, as I started, I picked up the Bible a few weeks later, and it came alive. Like I started to read about healings. Like he didn't change, he didn't, didn't take away my medical problems that I had for 12 years. He didn't take them away. I still had those major medical problems. And so in the midst of it, I'm reading, and I see that God heals. And as I'm really seeing how God heals, like I'm like, "Wow, like, you, you're the same God yesterday, today, and tomorrow. So if you healed yesterday, and you're going to heal tomorrow, why not today in me? And you're not a respecter of people." And so I went after scripture, and I was put my name in scripture, and I would declare the scriptures over my life. And and so I was like, "Come on, like, God, you healed them, heal me." And I would, one after another, and it took about a year before it started to happen, but one after another, I started to see God heal my body. And the crazy thing is, is it's, it's not always easy.
And so as, as God's changed in my life, I realized one of the passions that I have in life is I really believe that we as the church have not taught people how to hear God for ourselves or the body of Christ, and that's my passion right now. And I, I believe that there was nobody in my path that knew that I was committing suicide, and God didn't have somebody available to go help me or want to go help me. And so in the midst, that God had to save my life, and he said that the tipping point or prayers were answered in my life in that moment. So don't give up on praying for someone. Don't give up on watching someone's life change.
And so in the midst of all this, um, God showed me how to walk this out, and it wasn't through men or women. It wasn't through a ministry. It wasn't through seminary school. Like, I, I started diving into scripture, and it came alive. Like scripture came alive in my life. And I, I couldn't read. Like I only read maybe two books in my entire life. I struggled getting through school. I barely got a two-year education, and it was mainly because it was in computer field, and I could do that kind of stuff. And like, I, I was amazed. Like, and so three months into it, God speaks to me about my nephew, and Mark had a tattoo of a cross on his arm, and all I had to do was say, "Hey, what does that mean?" And so I was afraid to push him away from God. Like I felt like many pushed me away, and and so I was afraid that I would lose him and wouldn't be able to speak life into him, and I would lose my friendship with him. Even though I know in my heart that he would not have rejected me, but in that moment, I allowed the fear of the enemy to overwhelm the fear of God, and I talked to him about something else. Six months later, he's killed in a car accident. And I vowed that day that I laid my life down for God, and that was, I think, the key, and the thing that propelled me was knowing that I, somebody may not be going to heaven because I didn't walk in obedience to God.
And a week later, um, a young man stood up in a large, um, funeral, and he said, "A few years earlier, he got to witness to Mark, and he accepted Jesus." And I never mourned his life ever since then, and I knew that I had a call in my life to walk in obedience to God and to answer the call of my life. And so I didn't know how to work that out, and God took me step by step, and he showed me how to walk it out. And he took me to ministry school, but it, the key in this was it wasn't even the ministry school that changed my life. It was one key moment in the school where we were called to, um, go get five to seven testimonies a week, whether epic fail or amazing, it didn't matter. We had to hand them in school, and that's what transformed my life, and that's what helped me cultivate an atmosphere of of Christianity, a lifestyle Christianity, that everywhere I go, I'm looking to see where the Father is. Everywhere I go, I'm I'm listening to see what the Father's saying, and I want the Holy Spirit to guide and direct me, and I want to pour out Jesus. That is how I, I love to operate.
And so as I go, I'm also taking people alongside of me. So I had to learn this the hard way, and God shared me, it was through relationships. And as I would build relationships, I would go visit people, and I started traveling over 300 days a year, just, and it was a slow go in the beginning. It was building a relationship here with a farmer in Arkansas, and watching every time I would go back to visit them was deeper and wider, deeper relationships with him and his wife. And then they would take me out, and I would build relationships with all these people. And so the next time I would go back, and I would do things in several places. And and so every time I, we go somewhere, I would take them out into the streets, into the byways and the highways, and we would go pray for people, and I would encourage them to pray for people. And it wasn't about me. I would step back, and I would watch them shine. And so they would invite you back, and that's how the ministry started growing. As I'm walking the South, Radical Launch International Ministry started to evolve, and and it was through relationships. Like, as I went, I would get to empower people to be who they're called to be. I would get to lift them up, and and we would go into the stores, and I would sometimes even say, "Hey, you know, my friend has a word for you," and I'd walk away. Like, you know, sometimes I would start out giving the word, and I'd say, "Hey, do you have anything?" And depending on who it was, I, I learned how to, you know, throw some people out of the boat, and you be gentle and nudge some people, and you know, keep some people back in the boat and allow them to watch me do ministry, and watch people start to get healed as they're watching, and then they get a taste of it and want to do it too.
So I just want to encourage you that as you go, you can do lifestyle Christianity. You can be in full-time ministry today. Like, as you go, heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, and set at liberty the captives, and watch God show up and show off. And he's Jesus. The key is Jesus, and the key is the relationship. And he, he told Philip in John 14, he says, "Have I been with you all this time, but yet you don't know me?" So the key is to know him. And he, and he shares with them, "If you, you should know that I am in the Father, and the Father's in me, or at least know about the miracles that follow me." So watch the miracles that follow you. Help other people be pointed to Christ. Like, as you go, heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, and set at liberty the captives, and watch that John 15:16 comes alive in your life. And it's Jesus says to the disciples, he says, "You did not choose me, but I chose you to be fruitful and have lasting fruit, and then my Father will answer everything that you ask in my name." God wants to answer everything that you ask in his name, but we are called to go. And Jesus says in John 14, he says, "If you love me, obey my commandments." It's not just the love commandments that we all know, it's also the Great Commission. So I just want to encourage you to go love Jesus, and watch Jesus flow out of you, and watch people's lives change, and that you become a culture changer in Jesus name. Amen.
