How to cut out parts of the video I'm editing, as well as trim those cutout parts of the video I'm editing with UUT video editor app. So I got a question like that, and here's how you can go about doing this.
Here, so of course, as always, make sure you have the latest update with the UUT editor. Then to start, let's just say there's a part of the video that I want to cut out, and I also want to trim that part out. So what you're going to do is, of course, using this orange timeline bar here, you're going to place it to where you want to begin to cut out. So we'll bring this over and maybe within the time range here, using the time area here, maybe from 7 seconds of my video, I want to cut from here to perhaps here. So what I'll do with the orange bar here, I'll tap on my video. You'll notice these tools appear here. So we're going to use split. You're always going to use split when you want to cut out a part of the video. So you have split with the starting part of where you want to cut out, then you will go to the end part of which you want to cut out. So maybe I want to cut out here. I'll split. Now I will have myself two splits.
Basically, what I'm telling you, cut right now is that with this split and this split, if I tap in the middle or anywhere within the two splits, I now will be able to work with this portion here. So if you don't want to delete this part, you just want to trim this part in, cuz this part of the video you want to keep it in, but not the entire part. Once you have it highlighted like this here, you'll notice these little orange tabs, one arrow pointing that way and the other arrow pointing the other way. Those tabs, when you pull them inwards, that's your trimming. So now you can trim this part of the video. Okay, so this is me trimming it. I'm trimming it from this end, and I'm also trimming from the beginning part of what I wanted to separate or cut out.
Now, if let's just say for example, I want to take this part now and place it into another part of my video. I want to place this thing like maybe around here, just as an example. So what I have to do is place a split there first. So we'll tap on the video again. You'll notice these tools appear here. We'll press split. Now I have a separation, and every time you have a separation, if you long press, if you long press your videos, any one of these here, you'll see this happen. So now you have all your video parts separated, and this piece here, this is the piece that I wanted to move into another area. I want to move this into where the split was. So I can now go ahead and hold this one and bring it over and release it, and now that part that I separated earlier and trim the sides of it, I place it here.
