The power of sharing your testimony. There is an extreme amount of power that is released when you talk about what God has done for you in your past. The Bible says in Revelation chapter 12 and verse 11, "They overcame the devil by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony." So, it's not just by the blood of the lamb; it's what did the blood do for you? What has God accomplished for you?
Reminding yourself of what God has done in the past is going to generate something in you, and it's going to release an intervention from God to do something today. Reminding yourself and speaking to others of what God has done in the past is going to release something new for you today. And so, I wanted to do this video on how important it is in continuously and constantly knowing your testimony by heart and then sharing that testimony, not being ashamed.
You know, Paul said, "I'm not ashamed of the gospel." Why was he not ashamed of the gospel? Because he understood what the gospel did for him, and he was very acclimated to the power of the gospel and how it cleansed him, how it washed him, how it empowered him to do what he was doing today. And so, as a result of that, he wasn't ashamed of it.
There's far too many Christians and far too many people that God has done something amazing for them, and yet they might not vocally come out and say, "I'm ashamed of God," but they, they act like it because they're not going around sharing it. I'm an evangelist. An evangelist, in the Greek, it's "evangelion," it means to be a bearer of good news. I was wired like this. When I receive, when I see a testimony, uh, when I hear a testimony, when I receive a testimony, I'm like addicted to sharing. I need to share it. That's why oftentimes on my Instagram, you'll see me repost messages that I receive from others. I'm not boasting in myself; I'm boasting in what God is still doing today.
Because testimonies are a proof that our God is not an idol. He's not a dead, dumb thing that hides eyes but cannot see, that has ears but cannot hear, that has hands but can't do anything about anything. He is a living God. He's the Creator of the heavens and the earth. And John, on the island of Patmos, when he gave his testimony, he didn't talk about some weak, effeminate God that he had encountered. He talked about a Jesus who was no longer a baby swinging in a manger, but a Jesus whose eyes are like a flame of fire, whose feet are like burnished bronze, whose hair is like the wool, white as wool, whose face is like the sun shining in its brilliance, and whose voice is like the sound of many waters. John, on the island of Patmos, had that encounter, and then he penned down his testimony. He shared what he heard. He wrote down what he had heard, and he sent it out. He was not ashamed of his encounter.
It's about time we stop being ashamed of our encounters. We stop being ashamed with what God is doing in our lives. When God healed me of obsessive-compulsive disorder, I could not keep it quiet. I couldn't keep it to myself. You know what's really funny is in the days when Jesus was on the earth, in the Gospels, oftentimes he'd do miracles, and he'd say, "It's not the time to spread," because he understood if people started to spread, uh, the news about him, they'd try to make him king, and it wasn't his time yet. It wasn't his time to do all that. So he would tell people, "Don't, don't tell anybody. Don't spread the matter."
But isn't it interesting, the people that Jesus told not to spread the matter went out like lunatics spreading the matter, and he could no longer openly enter into cities. He was outside in desert places, and still they came to him from every direction. Now, Jesus said, "Go ye therefore unto all the world and preach the gospel." And you have Christians that are not spreading the matter. It's like people are like in reverse psychology. Jesus says, "Don't spread the matter," and they go out and spread the matter. Now, Jesus says, "Go and spread the matter," and people don't want to spread the matter. They want, they don't want to talk about their miracles, what God's done, what they've seen. And that's a shame.
Because David was like an addicted testimony giver. In Psalm 66 and verse 16, this is what he said: "David said, 'Come, hear all you who fear God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul. I cried to him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. He was lifted up and exalted with my tongue. If I had regarded iniquity in my heart, he would not have heard me. But certainly God has heard me and he has attended to the voice of my prayer.' He said, 'Come, all ye who fear the Lord, and I will tell you what God has done.'"
What is a testimony? A testimony is to bear witness to something, to bear witness to an event, to bear witness to a truth, to bear witness to a person. In this sense of the word, we are testifying of Christ's working in our life. And I've written down here three purposes for testimonies, three reasons why you should immediately go out and share your testimony, that you should not hide it.
You know, Jesus said, "No man lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, under a bed. He doesn't put it under, under something so that it's hidden. He lights a lampstand and he puts it, he puts it on, on a pedestal. He puts it up so that people can see the light, so that the light can be useful, and that men might then..." He says, "Now you are that light." And he says, "So let your light shine in such a way that men might see God's good work in you and glorify him in heaven." So there's too many people that have put their lamp under a bushel when God's saying, "You're to show it off."
Miracles and what God has done is literally His advertising system to this generation. That our God is not a fairy tale. Our God is not some figment of our imagination. He's not a theology or some theory. He's not a philosophy or a worldview. Jesus Christ is alive, and He lives forevermore. And today, modern testimonies are a proof of that. They're a proof for that.
Testimonies are not a substitute for the Word of God, but testimonies boost people's faith and expectation in God's Word. That Hebrews 13:8 is true: "He's the same yesterday, He's the same today, and He's the same forevermore." Testimonies show the immutability of the Word of God, God's supernatural unchangeableness. That He is a rock, that He is steadfast, that He's the same forevermore, that He's not alterable, that He does, He's not a roller coaster God, up today, down tomorrow. What He has spoken in His Word, His eyes are still running to and fro, looking for one who will trust, apply, act on it, so that He might show Himself strong on their behalf.
That's why Jeremiah said, "His, His eyes are on His Word." God is always looking over His Word to perform His Word. He wants to perform His Word, but He's looking over His Word to see if there's anybody that's going to believe it, latch on to it, and actually, actually trust that God hasn't changed, that this book is not some antiquated book, that it's not some expired text, that it's not some old relic of the past. It's a living... I want to remind you today, the Word of God is not dead and inactive. It is living and active. It's sharper than any two-edged sword, and it's able today, in 2021 or whatever you're watching this in, it's able to pierce to the division of spirit and soul. That means it affects you where psychology can't get to you, where psychiatry can't get to you, where medication can't get to you. It affects to the very core of man, the spirit and the soul of man. Then it says, "It even pierces to the division of bone and marrow." It has the ability to heal. It has the ability to strengthen you today.
So, I want you to pay attention. These are three reasons why you need to share your testimony right away. Number one: Testimonies have an evangelistic, uh, appeal to them. Testimonies are like evangelistic weapons. What do I mean by that? John chapter 4. Listen to what the Bible says. John, the fourth chapter. Many of you are may be familiar with this story. It's the story of the woman at the well. Jesus encounters a Samaritan woman, and this is how the story goes: "A woman came to draw water, and Jesus sent her, 'Give me a drink that I might drink also.' For his disciples had gone away to buy food into the city. Then the woman of Samaria said to him, 'How is it that you, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman? For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.' Jesus answered and said to her, 'If you knew the gift of God and who it is who says to you, "Give me a drink," you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.' The woman said to him, 'Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is very deep. Where then are you getting that living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?' Jesus answered and said to her, 'Whoever drinks of this water, this natural water, is going to thirst again very soon. But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him, he will never thirst again. But the water that I shall give him will be coming him a fountain of living water springing up into everlasting life.' The woman said to him, 'Sir, give me this water, that I might not thirst anymore, nor come here to draw.' That's a pretty good deal. Living water, you never thirst again. Jesus said to her, 'Go, call your husband and come here.' The woman answered and said, 'I have no husband.' Jesus, by the word of knowledge, see, Jesus operated in spiritual gifts. That's why if Jesus just operated as the Son of God, then we can never believe John 14:12 that says, 'These works shall you do and greater because I'm going to the Father.' But because Jesus lived His min-, lived and acted in ministry in full reliance and dependence upon the Holy Spirit and His gifts, we know that we also can operate in these spiritual gifts." That's just a side note. But Jesus, by the word of knowledge, said, "You have said well, 'I have no husband,' for you have had five husbands." How could he have known that? He never met her before. "And the one whom you now have is not your husband." "In that you spoke truly." The woman said to him, "Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship." Jesus said to the woman, "Believe me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem worship the Father. You worship what you do not know. We worship what we do know, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth." The woman said to him, "I know that Messiah is coming, who is called Christ. When he comes, he will tell us everything." Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am He."
So she has an encounter with Jesus at a well, totally unannounced, totally unexpected. But she has this amazing, life-changing experience where Jesus supernaturally shows her, "I am what you've been waiting for." This is what the woman does. At this point, "His disciples came and marveled that he talked with a woman. Yet no one said, 'What do you seek?' or 'Why are you talking with her?' The woman," verse 28, "then left her water pot and went her way into the city and said to the men..." So this encounter was so insane that she literally forgot to take back the water that she came to draw from the well. She totally forgot the reason why she was there.
I'm telling you, that's why the Bible says God is a God of signs and wonders, because they're signs that make you wonder to the point where you even, you're like out of your mind. There was a woman once who was look-, in Enoch Adeboye's service, the RCCG church in Lagos, Nigeria. And he just talked, he was preaching, and then he prophetically decreed, "There is a person, an individual here listening to me, who has a growth on their neck, and I prophesy that just as a bird flies away from a tree, so that growth is flying away from your neck." Well, at that very she-, that lady that was in the church that day, she had driven to church, and she, she lived like five, six, seven, eight miles away. And when she got to church and was sat behind this, this man that had a massive goiter or whatever was on her on the guy's neck, she just stood there and was like, it was distracting her the whole service. It was like nasty. And she, she was astonished by it. When the man of God gave that prophetic decree, immediately she saw the thing just wither up and die out, and it like, it just disappeared supernaturally. Her mouth was agape. From that moment, it was opened up. She, she was dumbfounded. She was astonished to the point where she walked home. Now, the thing is, is she walked four, five, six miles, and then she realized, "I drove to church today." She was so astonished and dumbfounded by what God had done, she didn't even remember that she drove to church that day.
That's exactly what this woman had. She was so astonished with what, what experience she just had, that she forgot the very reason she even went to the well in the first place. But listen to this: "And many of the Samaritans," John 4:39, "many of the Samaritans of that city where the woman was from believed in Jesus because of the word of the woman who testified." So she didn't keep it to herself. She didn't say, "Well, wow, I'm going to test this to see if it was actually God or not." No, she understood God had, had encountered her, she had encountered God, rather, and as a result, she couldn't keep quiet. She was like a boiling pot of water that overflowed. She had to tell somebody.
Let me tell you, when God truly does a work in you, and there's a supernatural occurrence that happens to you, it's impossible to stay quiet. It's impossible to be silent. The Bible says, "What God does for you in the house, you should proclaim it on the rooftop." You know, there's that song I love to hear. It says, "I will shout it out from the mountaintops." We, there's too many people, wicked people with wicked agendas, that are coming out of the closet. And then there's too many Christians that have experienced God going back into into the closet. I've made up my mind. I'm not going to be ashamed of what the Holy Ghost has done for me because the world might call me crazy, but I've seen what the world calls normal, and I really don't care if they call me crazy. If that's what you consider normal, I'm not going to be ashamed. I'm not going to keep quiet.
The Bible says David said, "I will tell of Your testimonies even amongst kings, and I will not be ashamed." He said, "I was dining with royalty, and I still, I still didn't hold back of what God had done for me." That's the, that's the spirit we have to have as Christians. This in-, inability to stay quiet, inability to just, "I can't." I don't understand how people can bury what God's done for them. It's not a secret. It's not a secret.
Evangelist Tiff Shuttlesworth, who's my mentor in the faith, he, he says this quote all the time: "I refuse to let the greatest story become the greatest secret." I refuse to let my greatest story, which is the gospel happening for me, become the greatest secret. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna be heaven's secret agent. I'm gonna be someone who comes out guns a-blazing, showing this, this world my God is not a way amongst ways. He's not, he's not some, uh, shape or f- or or, um, form of my imagination. He is the living One who lives forevermore.
So, John 4 goes on to say, listen to this: "So he, she, because of the word of a woman who testified, the Samaritans believed in him. Now when the Samaritans had come to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed there two more days. And many more believed because of his own word." And they said to the woman, "So listen, this is why testimonies have an evangelistic power to them. Now we believe, not because of what you said." So they no longer replacing their faith in this woman anymore, and the credibility she had. "For we ourselves have heard him, and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world."
Testimonies are just like the, the connection point where we connect people to the source of power that produced our testimony in the first place. Testimonies demonstrate that we're not blowing smoke. Testimonies are just a tool that points people to the source of their deliverance, to the source of what can set them free, the source of their freedom, the source of their healing, the source of their redemption, and the source of their salvation. They said, "We don't believe anymore just because of what you said, but your testimony did serve its purpose." And the purpose was to put our trust and our faith in Jesus Christ ourselves. Because if all testimonies did was point people to us, we'd be the source of it. We'd have to sustain people's faith, and we would, that wouldn't work out too well, because, you know, most people are flawed people. If you're looking to man, if you're looking even to the greatest minister on planet Earth as the source of your life, he's going to fail you, and you're going to be disappointed. And the scripture says, "Cursed is man who puts his trust in man." But testimonies serve a purpose, and the purpose is to get people's attention, to put their trust in Jesus Christ.
You look at in Acts chapter 4. When they, in Acts 3, had lifted up the man at the gate called Beautiful, who was paralyzed, and he began to walk again, that man became a testimony, a billboard advertisement to the people in Jerusalem that the message Peter and John carried was not in word only. There was power to back out, to back it up, and to add to the authenticity of the message. That's what testimonies do. They display and bring credibility to the authenticity. They display the authenticity of the gospel and bring credibility to its message. They bring credibility to the message of the gospel.
In the Old Testament, when God showed up to, uh, Moses in Exodus chapter 3, and He started to show him signs and wonders that He was going to show the Israelites to prove that Moses was indeed sent from God, God said, "If they don't believe the message of the first sign, they will believe the message of the second sign." So these signs and wonders that God does for us carry a message. They can preach a message on their own. It, it convinces people that the Lord died, but indeed was risen again.
Testimonies demonstrate to every single generation that our God is very much alive. Testimonies show God's active involvement in people's lives on an individual and specific and personal level. That's why I love testimonies. It shows how God is actively involved in people's lives on a very personal level. When I hear a testimony, and there's no small testimony, because when I hear a testimony where people say, "I know this is just a small thing," but you know what's crazy? It was small for you, but it was big enough for God to do it. It was big enough, it was important enough and essential enough for God to actually take time, not that He dwells in time, but at least take some of His time to, to perform that thing on your behalf, to bring it to your realization, to bring it into your hands. So there's no small testimony. Even small things, it shows God's active involvement in people's lives, even on a molecular level.
And so, these testimonies that you have serve as an evangelistic tool. People ask me all the time, "How, how do you share the gospel so easy? How do you just go up to someone and do that?" How do I? I just give my testimony. I talk about how God healed me of OCD. Write down, here's a, like a very practical thing, application for today's broad video: Write down your testimony. Write it down verbatim, word for word. Read it. Read through it. Read through it so that when you're giving it to somebody, you're not stumbling through your words, and you're lost for words, and you're like confused as to where you are in your story. Read, write it down, read it, get it into your spirit so that when the time comes where you have, where you're, um, you have the opportunity to share Jesus, it just bubbles up from within, and there's this ease, there's this, this wellspring of living water that's just, there's no hindrances to telling your testimony. It's not like you have to whip something up real quick. You're fully equipped to carry out the assignment of winning the lost.
Testimonies are an evangelistic weapon. Number two: Testimonies are prophetic. What do I mean by that? Revelation chapter 19. This is what the book of Revelation says. Revelation chapter 19 and verse 10: "And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he," the angel, "said to me, 'Do not worship me. See that you do not do that. I am your fellow servant.'" Or maybe it wasn't an angel, actually. Let me not say it's an angel because it might not have been an angel. It might have been one of the elders. "And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, 'See that you do not do that, for I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren, yes, absolutely, one of the elders. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.'" The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. What does that mean? When you testify to what God has done in your past, you're speaking prophetically into somebody's future.
When someone comes to you and says, "I have depression," and you had depression, but God set you free and brought you peace that surpasses all understanding, and you start to tell that to that person, it actually acts as a prophetic seed sown into their life, that's going to produce according to its kind. Every seed, get this, every testimony is a seed, a prophetic seed, that when you give it, and when you share it, you're sowing it into somebody's life. And just like Genesis 1, when God created seeds to produce according to their kind, your testimony acts prophetically to produce according to its kind. That's some good stuff right there.
That's why David said, "All of Thy testimonies," Psalm 119 and verse 11, "all Thy testimonies I have taken as my heritage forever, and they are the rejoicing of my heart." See, David didn't just read because there was, you know, the first five books of the Bible at his time. He didn't just read those books. He didn't just read Deuteronomy 28 and say, "Oh, isn't that great? That's how God acted then." He took it as a prophetic word for his future. That's why he said, "They are the rejoicing of my heart." It brought joy because when you see what God has done for somebody in the past, it's a proof that God can do it. And if God can do it for somebody, then God can do it for me. God doesn't show partiality. God is faithful to His Word.
The Bible says the heavens will pass away, the earth will fade away, but the Word of the Lord shall never pass away. It endures forever. The Bible says it is a living seed. That First Peter chapter 1, the Bible says of the Word of God, it is the living seed that liveth and abideth forever. It never dies out. It never loses its potency. The same power that the spoken Word had when God spoke to these holy men of God to pen them out, is the same power that's released when you believe on the Word. The same power is released to intervene in your situation. That's why the Bible says, "He sent forth His Word and it did heal them." Well, when you see Jesus healing people in the Gospels, and you see it in the Book of Acts, and you see it in the Old Testament, and you see that God has never changed His healing program, then that should act as a prophetic word for me that God is not going to heal me. God has provided everything necessary for me to be healed, and I receive the same healing power that hit them. I receive for my own life. So testimonies have a prophetic nature to them that when you believe in them, it releases the same power that produced their miracle to produce your miracle. Testimonies are prophetic in nature.
And number three, and I finish with this: Testimonies are faith boosters. Testimonies do not produce or generate faith because faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. The Bible says very clearly in Proverbs chapter 24, "When I found thy Word, I put my trust in thy Word. I found thy Word, and I put my trust in my Word." So trust and faith is built upon the Word of God. The written Word is what inscribes faith on your heart, into your heart, to believe God for something. However, testimonies can serve as faith boosters to inspire you to actually act on the faith that you have.
Because remember, you know, you can hear the Word of God and you can have faith in your heart, but many people let that faith go dormant, and they don't act on that faith. And faith without action is dead. James said, "Because how can we say you have faith if you have no works? You have no actions tied to your work." There must be an action that corresponds to your faith if your faith is going to be considered authentic. See, believing God, why did God say to act on our faith? Because it's proof that we actually believe Him. We're not just going to be some hypocritical Christians that just talk about the promises of God. We're going to act on the promises of God, and God is faithful to produce what He promises. That's why Abraham was fully persuaded that what God had promised, He is able to perform.
So although testimonies do not generate faith, testimonies can inspire someone to actually act out, to step out on the boat, to step out of the boat because Peter's testimony of stepping out on the boat, out of the boat, and walking on water shows me that walking on water is possible. I'm not going to go and try it because I didn't have a word from heaven to do it. However, it shows me that that is possible. It shows me, you know, Peter walking on water is a testimony showing me that nothing is impossible, that God can bend the natural elements to support His will. God can bend or alter the natural course of nature in order to implement what He desires on the earth.
So testimonies do not generate faith, but they can boost people's faith. They can boost people's expectation to receive from God. It invigorates people with hope and expectation. And remember, expectation is faith expressed. Expectation is the expression of faith. If you say you have faith, but you say, "Whatever God wants," then you have no faith. When someone has faith for healing, they're saying, "By His stripes, I'm healed. I expect my body to line up with the Word of God." When people have expectation that money's going to come in to provide for whatever they have need of, they're not speaking, "Well, I don't know how I'm going to make rent this month." They're speaking, "I know my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory."
So testimonies, when you see what you know, you start hearing testimonies of God providing for people financially that you, you know, maybe had extreme amount of debt. I tell my testimony all the time. I had, I had $11,000 of debt at 19 years or 20 years old, just turned 20 years old, just got saved. I had a life of sin, that's why I had accumulated all that debt on alcohol and drugs and all kinds of stuff. And when I got saved, I ended up giving and sowing a seed financially into the gospel work of $300. I wanted to go to Bible college. Bible college cost $18,000 for one year in, in that day. Now it's way more, but it was $18,000 then. And I remember sowing that $300, putting the demand on just my, my, my debt to be paid off because it added a burden on my shoulders at 20 years old. $11,000 of debt. That might not be much for some of you, especially in the United States who have like college debt and stuff, but in Canada, that's like huge for a 20-year-old. And so, I remember sowing that seed, and when I sowed the seed, there was a return. Not too long after, I received three people that gave me. One gave me $10,000 without me, it's not like I was going around saying, "I need this money, I need this money." Just God supernaturally moved on people to give into my lap. Remember Jesus said, "Give, and it shall be given unto you, pressed down, shaken together, falling over into your lap." Well, that's the Word that generated faith in me to believe God to sow. But then hearing the testimonies of others, how God, they put their trust in God and so sacrificially and in expectation, how God brought a return on what they had sown, it boosted my expectation.
And so I sowed in faith. It inspired me to act on Jesus' Word found in Luke 6:38. When I did that, $10,000 came in from one direction, another $10,000 from another, and then another couple sold $11,000 to, to cover my debt. I had $31,000. Three hundred times a hundred, that's a hundredfold return on a $300 seed. Thirty grand. I had enough money to pay off my debt, to buy myself college tuition for that year, and then to have enough money to buy my books, to buy an iPad and a guitar. It was supernatural. And it was from me hearing the testimony of God's provision power in others that that inspired me to act on His Word. The faith that I already had, that I might have been hesitant on before, it inspired me to action. And that's the sir-, that's the purpose of testimonies. It boosts people's faith.
Listen to this. David, when he encountered Goliath, he didn't come in unequipped. He said, "The same God that delivered me from the power of the bear." He talked about his own personal testimony. Some of you need to learn to encourage yourself in the Lord because God's bailed you out time and time again. And constantly, when something else, another obstacle arises, if you're waiting for a life where you're not going to be challenged and there's not going to be any obstacles, you're going to be waiting in vain, and it's going to be a very frustrating life that you're going to live. But if you'll realize that though challenges may come, I can talk about the past challenges that have come and how God delivered me from the path of the lion, He delivered me from the power of the bear, He bailed me out, then He secured me, then He gave me breakthrough, then it will generate, it'll strengthen you.
You know, David strengthened himself in the Lord. He strengthened himself how? By reminiscing on God's past faithfulness. It gave him present-day faith to obtain present-day victory. He said, "The same part-, the same God that delivered me from the power of the bear and the mouth of the lion is the same God that's going to deliver me from this uncircumcised Philistine, and this very day, I'm going to cut his head off and feed his body to the birds of the air." And David had what he said. Why could he be so confident? Because he, he knew, he knew, he knew.
There's too many Christians that have spiritual amnesia, spiritual Alzheimer's, I call it. They're so quick to forget of God's blessing and so quick to remember every trial and tribulation in their life. You know what Joseph named one of his kids? "God has made me to forget my affliction of my past." You should practice this. Never, listen to this, never bring back or recall to memory anything that weighed you down from your past. Only make it a disciplined habit to only recall to memory, to bring up things that glorify God in your past. Don't make it a business of yours to reminisce, to focus your attention, to meditate and dwell on things in your past that didn't work out. Meditate on those things like Paul. Paul said in Philippians 4:8, "Meditate on those things that are true, that are good, that are excellent, and worthy of praising God." Those things, dwell on those, this, those things, focus on.
Psalm 77: "David said, 'This is my anguish.' This is my anguish." So he's saying, "I'm having another problem today, but I'm going to remember the years of the right hand of the Most High God. I'm going to talk about His deeds." You need a present-day testimony. Start sharing what your testimony was from yesterday, and you'll see that when you celebrate what God has done yesterday, you'll begin to celebrate something God will do today.
When you celebrate, you know, there's so many people that hear other people's testimonies and they're like the other brother in the prodigal son story. They get miserable. They get, "How could God do that for them? I've been believing God for 30 years." They've never celebrated what God has done in someone else's life, and so they've disqualified themselves from ever receiving something from the hand of God. Learn to celebrate other people's testimonies, and you'll learn quickly that God will give you your own. God will give you your own.
Let me pray for you. Father, I ask You in the name of Jesus that You would bring back supernaturally to memory every person that's watching this right now, their testimonies of Your past faithfulness, of what You've done. And if some people maybe don't think they have a testimony, I ask You that You'd remind them of what You've done at the cross. The testimony that every born-again believer has, that You saved us, that You redeemed us, that instead of complaining as to what they don't have, that they would start to focus in and zone in on what they do have, and that's right relationship with You. And so, I ask You, Father, that You would recall to memory every past dealing that You've had with them, how You've dealt bountifully with them, how had it not been for You on their side, they would have been consumed, destroyed, contorted, and broken, and slapped, and and totally annihilated by the devil and his forces. But You always came through, and You've never, the Bible says, "We've been struck down, but we've never been destroyed." You've always been faithful to shut the mouths of lions, to come into the burning fiery furnace and rescue and restore and deliver. And so, Father, we covenant with You today. We're going to give You test-, we're going to share testimonies. We're going to live a life that is full of praise. We're not going to hide it. We are going to do just like Your Word says, to offer up a sacrifice of praise, giving thanks unto Your name, for the Bible says, "This is the will of God for us in Christ Jesus, that we always in everything remember to give thanksgiving." In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name.
And I pray right now that God, as you go out and and implement what I said today, God will give you your own testimony in Jesus' name. In Jesus' name.
