[Musik] Hello everyone. I hope you guys are doing great and welcome back to my channel. I'm Putri from Kuka Crochet. As requested, I'm gonna show you how to crochet this heart granny square ravel pouch. I know it's such a long name for this small project, but anyway, since Valentine's Day is coming really soon, I'm sure this project would be a perfect handmade gift to your loved ones. Also, this is such a quick project that you can finish under one hour. And feel free to make it in your favorite colors.

Now, let's start crocheting. For this project, I'm using five-ply milk cotton yarn, a 4-millimeter hook, a scissors, and a tapestry needle. We will start with the heart. Make a slip knot, or you can also use the Magic Ring. Next, chain five, or chain four if you use Magic Ring. After that, do three triple crochet in the very first chain. So, yarn over twice and then insert the hook into the very first chain. Grab the yarn, pull out the loop. Now we have four loops on our hook. Next, yarn over, pull out the first two loops, then yarn over, pull out the second two loops, and yarn over, pull out the last two loops. So, this is how we do triple crochet. Now we will continue to make two more triple crochet. This is how it looks like now. Continue, do three double crochet. So, yarn over, insert the hook into the first chain, and then grab the yarn, pull out the loop. So we have three loops on our hook. Then yarn over, pull out the first two loops, and yarn over, pull out the last two loops. So, this is how we do double crochet. Now we will continue, make two more double crochet. After that, chain one. Do one triple crochet and chain one. Next, continue, do three double crochet. After that, do three triple crochet, then chain three, and slip stitch. Next, finish it off. Chain one, cut off the yarn, and fasten off. And this is how the heart looks like.

Next, we're going to make the granny square. For the first round of granny square, we will work in back loop only, and we will start from the third chain, not the fourth one. This is the third chain. Now, insert the hook into the back loop only, then attach the yarn. After that, chain three, and we will count this chain three as one double crochet. Continue to one double crochet in the next stitch, or in the fourth chain. Now, move to the next stitch. We will do one double crochet, chain one, and another one double crochet in the same stitch. This is gonna be the first corner of the granny square. Next, do one half double crochet and one single crochet in the same stitch. Continue to do one single crochet and one half double crochet in the next stitch. After that, do one double crochet in the next stitch. Next, one double crochet, chain one, and another one double crochet in the same stitch. Continue to the next stitch. Do one double crochet and one half double crochet in the same stitch. After that, we will skip one stitch and go to the next one. We will do one single crochet. Then skip one stitch and go to the next stitch. Do one half double crochet and one double crochet in the same stitch. After that, do one double crochet, chain one, and another one double crochet in the same stitch. Then one double crochet in the next stitch. Next, do one half double crochet and one single crochet in the same stitch. Continue to the next stitch. We will do one single crochet and then one half double crochet in the same stitch. After that, do one double crochet, chain one, and another one double crochet in the next stitch. So, this is going to be the last corner of our granny square. Then continue to double crochet for each of the next two stitches. Now we are almost done, and we just have to make one triple crochet in the center of the heart. After that, slip stitch in the third chain that we made at the beginning. So, we have done with the first round of our granny square.

Now we are going to continue to the second round. For the second round, you can start with chain three, so one double crochet. But this time, I'm going to show you a different way to start a new round. I'm going to use a foundation turning chain. So, start with chain one and do one single crochet in the same stitch where we do the slip stitch. Now, you can see that we have two loops in the front side of the single crochet. But this time, I'm going to work in the left loop only. So, insert the hook into the left loop and do one single crochet. So, this is how we do foundation turning chain, and we will count this stitch as one double crochet. Now, we will do double crochet around in each stitch except in the corner. Now we are in the corner, and we will do two double crochet, chain one, and another two double crochet. So, we will repeat this pattern in each corner. Now we have done with the first corner, and we will continue crocheting except in the last stitch. So, we won't do double crochet in the last stitch, and we will have 43 double crochet in total. So, this is how the granny square looks like, and we still have one stitch left. We will do one slip stitch in the last stitch. Then chain five for the little loop, and chain 45, or chain as long as you need for the long strap. After that, slip stitch in the same stitch, and also continue to slip stitch in the first double crochet. Then finish it off. Chain one, cut off the yarn, and fasten off. So, we have finished the first granny square. But as you can see here, we still have this little loop in the center of the heart, and I'm gonna show you how to close this loop. So, grab the tapestry needle, and we're going to sew to close this loop using the leftover tails. So, we just have to sew all around until the loop completely closed, and we will also repeat the exact same way for the other tail. And after that, you can just cut off the leftover tails. And we have to make another granny square for the back side using the same pattern, except for the long strap.

Now it's time to assemble these granny squares together. Put the wrong side facing up like so, and we will attach the strap to make it secure. Then grab the hook, and we will start to assemble from the chain one in the corner, and we will also stop in chain one in the other corner. Now, insert the hook in both sides and attach the yarn. I'm using the same color as the heart. After that, chain three and slip stitch in the next stitch. So, we will repeat this pattern around. Chain three and slip stitch, and it will look like a ruffle's border. Now I will continue crocheting, and we will meet after I finish assembling this granny squares together. So, this is how it looks like. We have done assembling, and now we will finish it off. Chain one, cut off the yarn, and fasten off.
