Um, one of the great features about the Hydro Power is it's got this TDS monitor on the top. So, it's really quick and easy to be able to monitor uh when the resin needs changing. You can just press the the button on the top and it'll tell you.
Okay. Also worth mentioning is that you'll get about 1,500 L of pure water produced by each resin bag. Um, that's for a soft water area. I find that in the area I live, it's quite hard water, so it's probably not as much as that.
Um, another good practice when using the system is that if you're not using it regularly is to drain the water out after each use. That will help extend the life of the resin. You need to have the water flowing um through the device obviously in order for this to um get a reading. But the recommended time to change the resin is when it hits 10. You might get some spotting um on the window when it reaches 10. So that's the recommended time to change.
Okay. So I'm just going to show you how to change the resin on the Hydrop Power. Really dead easy to do. The resin needs to be stored in an airtight container to preserve it. If you buy the resin in packs of four, the anger um supply, it comes in a large tub. Um I keep it in this smaller tub so I can keep two at a time. The one I've got here uses two resin bags at a time. All the only difference with that is it will last a bit longer before I have to change it.
Um I find this setup is really good. It works really well for me with the wheels as well. Just helps me wheel it around. So, all you do is press the um the button on the top to release the pressure. Top just comes off nice and easily like that. The used resin bags just lift out like so. And you can put the fresh ones in. Just tuck in. Now I'll just I usually just pat them down slightly to compact them down. And then you press down on the top. That's it. All done. Put those away. So, couldn't be easier. And we're ready to go on the next job.
