Um, if you want to inform yourselves further there, I have an extra Porter Split playlist and there are, I believe, meanwhile 18 or 19 videos. Everything that has to do with the system, setting up, comparisons with other similar variants, then measurement, volume measurement, then the heating measurement and so on and so on, cooling measurement etc., everything that one can do with it. Uh and also mounting it outside.
Here you see it, the outdoor unit is up here. I have a dormer up here. There um uh goes uh the standard uh stand, which we then accordingly have with it, of course also. But that is what it should be about here and today.
I am letting the system, by the way, also run nicely here right now. That means on my Silence variant, that means the fan Silence and target temperature at 21°. I know, I always badger you with it. But that is the optimal one. I have tried so much. I have had this thing for a year now. I have tried so much and that is the most effective variant, the large room.
I have here a 40 m uh attic apartment, poorly insulated and I have really tried it out, full throttle, how fast it then goes or and have or then slower, that means here with this Silence variant uh and have clearly come to the conclusion, have then also measured electricity and measured temperature in parallel and have clearly come to the conclusion, this here is the most effective, how you can heat with it accordingly and thus I always let it run. By the way, I also always let my friend the Silence fan run along. It runs for me up to 24° 24 25° in temperature and only from 24, 25° do I switch on the portable split air conditioner, the Midea and with that I then save electricity again and by the way at the setting where it is currently running, that means 21° target temperature and Silence Mode it needs between 350, 360 to 380 watts per hour.
Third of a kilowatt-hour per hour, that is 10, 11, 12, 13 cents. I have said it often before, I know, but nevertheless, luckily, new people always join who are new and who still want to decide for Porter Split and that's why I have to tell it again and again.
So um what what topic we have today, um I have actually already made a video about that and it is about, how can we mount the outdoor unit uh outside accordingly? There the company Midea uh has actually already uh provided us with uh the standard uh mounting set and with the extra uh uh mounting set for French balcony and for the roof window actually everything.
Um the normal stand has now been equipped with small feet again, which are given for free for people like me who have a dormer, so that they can also fold down the feet. And there also about that I have made an extra video accordingly for those who are interested.
But there are many people among you who write in my comments, how can I do that with the window? How can I um do that so that it is sealed here? Uh how can I leave the thing outside, all year round? And and and. How can I do that so that I can close the windows? Burglary protection topic and and and then I often read that and think to myself, my God, what thoughts they all make.
There I have actually once seen a photo, there someone has cut out his window frame below uh, completely cut out in this size here and then simply puts it there, so that he can close his window. I wonder which landlord finds that great. In the plastic window he has, he also posted that on YouTube. For God's sake, what are you all doing there? It's much simpler and it doesn't actually have to be.

Here the steel cable is currently being shown, that is the safety cable, so that the outdoor unit cannot somehow fly off.
Here it is wonderfully explained exactly how the supplied fastening materials simply place the part here into the window and it is simply screwed on from the outside. That is a story that is also very quickly removed again. Here it is wonderfully explained how then it is simply placed against your house wall, depending on how thick it is. Um, that should then later be straight accordingly. Uh, and you can all do that, that can be attached to any window.
As I said, here it is simply uh screwed on and you see uh so 10 kg is no problem at all. And here you then see wonderfully how the outdoor unit uh is then inserted. And here it now goes click, click. Here you see that wonderfully. That is really uh I will also link you the page, then you can watch it again in peace.
And when it clicks, then it is connected here with the part and then also with the safety pin that is attached here. Uh, if this were to fall down now, uh the the the other side of the steel cable will then be attached to the device accordingly.
Then we have here the French balconies. That is such a that is an optional accessory. That means, so here uh you can then uh go. Here it is then also always immediately shown what is needed uh and what should be included.
And um then we have here very important then also interesting for many people this part. Uh that is here simultaneously also for the roof windows for the people who really only have roof windows, that is then hung in here. And you also see here the safety pin is back on, the safety cable is back on. Here something is marked a bit.
Um uh that is also wonderfully explained here exactly and um so it is then in principle and only so, I want to briefly uh stop here. Uh so it is really only done accordingly. There are here um yes a few colleagues um who have really attached the bracket incorrectly. I wanted that briefly uh here on it. So. So. Exactly. So, that's how it's attached there. From the outside, do not place it on the pane.
So, there are then uh uh colleagues of mine who have um uh who then placed the outdoor unit on top of the pane. That is of course wrong. Um uh please pay attention to the manufacturer, to the manufacturer's specifications. But what is always important, no matter which variant you take, the point is, this is all made so that you can bring the outdoor unit back in within seconds, within seconds, and thus have no problem at all.
You simply see here, you can leave it outside, then you have the outdoor unit, you can close the window again immediately, if you live on the ground floor now. And that is no problem at all. Whether that is now the window variant here for normal windows or for the roof window. As I said, beware, do not place it on the glass, that is wrong, but as the manufacturer specifies here. Or the French balcony, that is the same part. H, here you can then see that. That is simply hung over here.
Then you can always, with every variant, bring the part inside within seconds and don't have to worry much about it. And how that goes in a few seconds, the man will show you right now. No. That was now a bit more than half a minute.
So, why should I, if I have such a cool invention and such great tools available, why should I now worry? How can I, when I leave, seal my window? How can I uh uh when I leave, ensure that my window is sealed, that no cold and no warmth flows in? Uh, I don't understand it.
I I put So, if you have a balcony now, then just put it out. If you uh have windows or a dormer, theoretically you don't even need to install this part. These are just two wing nuts on the frame here. You can theoretically even leave that in, then you're at 20, 25 seconds. So, that is no problem at all.
The thing weighs 9.7 kg, so and has two decent handles. So, that can also be lifted in relatively easily and quickly. Uh, whether you place it directly on top of it or just in front of it. So theoretically I can also do that completely in 30 seconds. Um, I don't want to make a competition out of it here now, that would perhaps also be a nice story. How fast are you? But you can do it in 30 seconds.
Then I don't have to worry about leaving the thing outside for half a year. In the rain, of course, it is uh weatherproof. Of course, but what I have, I have already seen outdoor units that have stood outside for a winter. They look crappy, they look totally dirty. Of course you can also clean them. Of course that doesn't really bother them either. Only do good.
That is like with a car. A car that stands in the garage is always better off than a car that stands there and outside. It is the same here. You can leave it outside, it's no problem at all, only it looks crappy afterwards and there is dirt everywhere in the cracks here. Of course you can also unscrew everything and clean it and clean the individual parts with a pressure washer, not in here with the pressure washer.
Um, but I don't understand, that's what I always think when I see comments like, how can I do that, how can I do that, how can I do that? Of course you can close this gap here, if you want to do it 100% super great, you can close the gap with uh either with this thick uh with this uh thick plastic film or you can simply for the summer story you can simply um get a normal uh a normal window seal with a zipper.
Then he makes it then he sticks it here all around with Velcro and simply leads the hose out there. Then you don't have it. Yes, but again, this part um does not produce a negative pressure in the interior. That means, so here I don't get the hot air from outside sucked back in through every crack, as is the case with monoblock air conditioners with with uh um with exhaust hose, I can't even pronounce the word anymore with with exhaust hose.
That means, I also have that problem here. I tested that once here in this room. I tested it once. Um and have, I don't have a laboratory here. There are others who don't do 27°, but 27.23°. I don't care. 27 is enough for me, if I know that. If the result is good, then 27 or 272 is just as good.
Um, but that means, so um here it is so, uh, that there is no big difference here either. Of course you shouldn't leave a balcony door or a sliding door open 30 cm, that's clear. But if it's just a small slit like here, then it doesn't matter.
And again for those of you who say, I want it 100%, then you also put such a film around it. The costs in accessories cost at Humi, that's the company's name, uh uh 20 €. Then you have such a thing, then you can wonderfully also with that you can close and open the windows again. With the Velcro fastener you get along wonderfully.
I don't want that anymore. I always did that back then with the monoblock air conditioners with the stupid drain hose. I don't want to see these things anymore. It doesn't bother me and I measured it and it doesn't make a big difference. Not noticeable for me. Measurable of course yes logically, but not noticeable for me.
That should be it. Of course when bringing it in and out. Never forget to attach the safety rope, the steel rope, once with the carabiner hook uh to the outdoor unit. I always don't do it, so I don't attach it to the outdoor unit, but I always attach it here to this part. That means, if this were to tumble down for me, this part up here is so firmly anchored that it holds on to it.
So I prefer it if the whole frame then remains hanging on the rope. So there it is always important to secure it, please, so that the thing doesn't fly down on you sometime. Um because it of course breaks your system and it can of course, that is of course much worse, uh can of course fall on someone's head below, right? So, caution, always always operate the steel cable accordingly when bringing it in and out.

Mobile means, it is not intended for a fixed place, it is not intended to be put into the wall, to remove this thing here. Uh and to always put the thing, so the outdoor unit always on the same part outside and the indoor unit always in the same place inside.
Mobile means mobile. I can take this thing with me into the garden, into the cellar, to a garage party, to uh who knows where. Yes, I can lend it to Jup Schmitz around the corner and say, here you have something great, I'll slide it over to you, you can cool nicely, mobile.
So, anyone who wants something fixed, should just have a fixed split air conditioner installed. Of course for more money.
