Jeff Arnold - GOD'S GREAT OFFER

UPC Porac33:24

Transcription

I'm reading and you're hearing from Deuteronomy chapter 4. Okay. And uh, I want to read verse 25.

"And where thou shalt beget children and children's children, and you shall remain long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, or make a graven image or a likeness of anything, and shall do evil in the sight of the Lord, thy God, to provoke him to anger. I call heaven and earth witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereto you go over the Jordan to possess it. You shall not prolong your days. Watch this. Shall utterly be destroyed. And the Lord shall scatter you among the nations. And you shall be left few in numbers among the heathen, whether the Lord shall lead you. And there shall you shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell."

Okay, so now here's part one. Part two is coming in a second. The picture is a horror story. The previous verse said God saved you from the iron furnace. It's your initial salvation. But then after you got saved, you act, if I can be a little rude, you act stupid and you forget how good God has been and you get seduced with sin and and and deceptions of of evil and you fall into false doctrine and you start worshiping idols and you're going to make God mad. And so God is not going to give up on you, but he is going to chastise you and he is going to punish you and he's going to send you out. And these nations are going to dominate you and rule over you and enslave you and you're going to end up with their stupid idols and their crazy theology and the and so look at your neighbor and say, "Boy, that's a terrible picture." Come on, say it out loud. It's a terrible picture.

Okay, now watch this. This is what the Lord gave to me. Never heard it anywhere. Never read it. Didn't steal it. Watch. After all this horrible mess, he said said, "You just and you just you're going to be a mess and you're going to be diminished." Here it goes.

"But if from fence," >> "that's it." >> "That's it." >> "I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm just fine. That's fine. No. No. You see, you didn't get it. All that hell, all that chaos, all that defeat, all that mess, all that judgment. What a horror story. And yet in the end of that, the Lord just steps up and says, "But if from then," >> "you begin to pray," >> "and you turn and you seek the Lord with all your heart, he will deliver you and and save you and bring you back to himself."

So, so for just a few minutes, I want to talk to you about God's great offer. >> God's great offer. Lord, bless the preaching. Help me to be a blessing in Jesus name. Amen and amen. You may be seated. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Oh, thank you, Lord.

I've never heard anybody preach on this. I've never I've never even used a word in my life, "fence." I didn't even when I just said, "if from fence." I looked at said, "JC, it was a horror story. They're imprisoned. They're in slavery. They're in bondage. They've committed sin against God. They've insulted him. They've humiliated his grace and his mercy and his holiness." And God looks at them with all their suffering and does puts in this this little pause. "But if from then," >> "glory," >> "wait, you didn't get it. In the mess that you're in, if you just call on him, he'll bring you back out. No matter how bad your situation is, if from fence you turn back to God, God is going to turn back to you. Irregardless of what a mess you've made."

Now, I I I wasn't going to get down here, but I'm going to get down here. It's my last chance. And you ain't going to sit and stare at me. You've been up and down with all the baby dedications and all the stuff. You ain't going to sit here and look like a bump on a log. This is my last chance to get a hold of you. You need to grab what I'm saying. In the midst of your mess, God says, "It doesn't matter. I don't care how bad it is. I can bring you out. I can snatch you out. I can turn you around." >> "If from fence, if from that point of fail, you'd sit down from that point of failure. From that place of mistakes." How many times have you heard me tell you, you may have made a mistake, but you're not a mistake. You may have failed, but you are not a failure. Let me help you. Your failure is not final. God has got the last word. I don't care how bad the situation. I don't care how horrible your offense is. David said in Psalms 34, "He delivered me from all of my fears." Next verse, he said, "He delivered me out of all my troubles." Now, what part of all is holding you back? >> "I don't need some of my stuff fixed. I need all of my stuff fixed. And I need God to reach into my life and just pull me out. I'm guilty. I don't have a right to it. I messed up. But God steps up on stage and says, "I know you're in in trouble. I know you've been stupid. I know you've been ignorant, but if from then."

>> "Yeah." >> "Right there." >> "That place, that point. Course then means two things. A location or a condition." >> "So if your location is lousy, you got a fence working for you. If your condition is horrible, you got a fence working for you." He brought me out of the marry clay. He set my feet on the rock to stay. He set me on the rock. He put a song in my mouth. Even praise unto the Lord. I wish I had some people here who have had a fence. If it had not been for the Lord who was on my side, ain't no telling where I'd be.

>> "Said your your situation may be bad, but it ain't over." >> "You know, I said maybe I'm just intoxicated with my own notes. I've been working on this for two and a half weeks. It's blown my mind. I've never read that. Never seen a book. Never read it any don't own a computer. I didn't steal it on the internet. And the Lord just I'm just reading this thing. Oh my God, man. They did this. They went into idolatry. They went into false doctrine. They went into stupid theology and ideology. And then now they're held captive. And all of a sudden, God just looks at them and he goes, "But but if from then."

>> "Now wait a minute. You don't hear me. You don't have to fix it. He'll fix it. You don't have to wait till it gets better. He'll make it better. But our bad situation will not stop God's promise. He said, "I promise that if you turn towards me, I will forgive you. If you repent, I will forgive you. If you reach for me, I will reach for you."

>> "Excuse me, pastor. I need to go out here. There's a section back here that's extremely dead. I'm going to go back out here. Apparently, they're all super glued to their chairs. This is your This is your last chance. This is your last chance for old Arie to talk to you. You got to hear me. I am a recipient of a divine fence."

>> "I don't know how many times I made mistakes and I dropped the ball and I said something I should have said and I thought something I shouldn't have and I felt something. But God turned around and said, "But if from thence you'll reach for me, I will forgive you." Woo! Hallelujah. If If from then if from then. Oh my God. So I'd like to just tell you in a few minutes. So in your worst situation, in your darkest night, >> in your most horrible mess, >> if you end up suffering a divorce or a child died or you lost your job or your income has just vanished away, God can still step up to your life and say, "But if from fence, if you ask for my help, I will give you help. If I if you ask for my mercy, I'll give you mercy." You got to ask.

[Applause] >> "I I I know you folks look at me, laugh like he's such a funny little preacher. This This ain't a game with me. >> I know I look 40, but I'll be 81 in a couple of days. You get me? I've been living this all these years. This I'm getting close to home before. I ain't got no time to just coast. I'm not interested in just playing church. We need a move of God. We need a demonstration of the Holy Ghost. We need the supernatural."

[Music] >> "So, sit down. So, so, so if so, if you failed, now that hits about everybody in the house. And and if you failed morally >> or financially >> or you've been disloyal >> or or you got into a mess that ruined your life >> and and I I got it in my notes. I was praying this morning. The Lord just I had to wrote down. He says, "Tell my people >> Satan wants their fence to become a prison house." I wrote that down. >> I said, "Wow, that's probably said, wait a minute, part two. And I want their fence to be a launching pad. >> I want their fence to be a catalyst for change. I don't care how bad it is. I don't care how long it's been that way. I don't care how low you've got. He's able to snatch you out. He's able to bring you out. He's able to turn you around. Hallelujah."

I'm I'm sorry. I I'm just a few minutes late. Just a few minutes left. I need everybody in this section shout at me. "But if from fence from" >> "Oh, that's wussy five. Let me get over here. But if from then." >> "But if from" >> "It's getting better. All right. There's probably Pentecostals over here. But if from then." >> "But if from" >> "Have you ever experienced a fence? Have you ever been in a situation you couldn't get out of? You couldn't turn it around. It was hopeless. You were helpless. There was no way. But God just turned around and said, "If you'll seek me with all your heart, I'll snatch you out. I'll bring you out. I'll bring you back. I'll let you have your inheritance."

"But if from then I'm almost done, pastor. Don't Don't get nervous. I'm almost just this this has encouraged me. >> This has encouraged me. >> Cuz I've had so many issues that I couldn't fix. I said things I wish that God hadn't said. >> I'm going to tell you something. I've said things I shouldn't have said, but what I said was right. I just shouldn't have said it. I did it. I preached a national conference and said some things I shouldn't have said. And I came home and I I went to prayer and I said, "Lord, what did I do?" Here's what he said to me. And I know a lot of you people don't believe God talks to you. Well, just just live in your funny farm all you want to. The Lord spoke to me and he said, "You, like my servant Moses, spake unadvisedly with your lips."

>> "There you go. Amen." >> "Amen." >> "I said, "Ouch." >> "He said, "What you said was true. What you said didn't need to be said. >> "And it didn't help anybody. It got people mad. And so I was just thrown under the bus. And I don't preach camps and I don't preach conferences and I'm not going to general conference and I'm not the preacher of the year. I'm just under the bus. Fine. >> "So what? I don't want to be rude, but I can preach better than people under the bus than people are over the bus. Th This ain't a game to me. This is a real deal to me. We need old-fashioned preaching. We need old-fashioned demonstration of the Holy Ghost. We need the power of God to fall. We need the Lord to just rain the Holy Ghost on us and just take control."

I know. I know. I've said it a few times, pastor. Just bear with me just a minute. I'm old. Okay, I'm old. You understand me? It ought to be dangerous sitting next to you. No, no. That's That's why you pick out the same idiots to sit next to cuz nothing happens where you sit there. You need to sit next to somebody who needs an answer. You need to have somebody that needs some help. You need somebody that's getting desperate. If God doesn't help me, I'm not coming out of this. I got news for you. His promise is awesome. No matter how awful your offense is, his promise is awesome. I will bring you out.

>> "Just let me have fun." >> "Just Just bear with me just a minute. Just another minute. Sit down. Just Just another minute. This This doesn't get to you when it gets to me. Thanks. Thanks. Watch. He looked at you. You messed up. You did stupid stuff. You said things you shouldn't. You thought things you shouldn't. You responded in the wrong way. I'm president of that club, >> right? And here I am and I'm in this mess in this cesspool of junk and trash and God just walks up and says, "Wow, what a mess." But if from then >> if if from your darkest time, if from your thing you can't fix >> in your situation where you're struggling with drugs or drink or immorality or whatever you're dealing with. He said if from then you don't have to come out of it. You just have to ask me to come into it. If I come into it, you're coming out of it.

[Music] Hallelujah. All right, give me five more minutes. Just just watch. I'm talking. Sit down. Sit down. "If from fence, Jeremiah turns around in lamentation. He said, "My enemy chased me and he caught me and he threw me in a dungeon and put a stone on top of me and I sunk in the mire and the stuff overcame me. It overroamemed me." And he said, "And I I had lost in despair. He literally gave up. He was frustrated. Watch the next phrase he said. "But I cried unto you, watch this, >> from the deep dungeon." >> "I guess all you you nice Pentecostals, you never go into deep dungeons. You all name it and claim it, blab it, and grab it. There's some of us go into deep dungeons. Some of us go into things we didn't ask for. And he said, "And I was in the deep dungeon, and I cried out to you."

>> "And he says, "And thou drew near to me and said, "Fear not, and you brought me out." If God could bring Jeremiah out of a deep dungeon, he can bring anybody out of their deep dungeon. No matter how deep it is, how dark it is, and how long you've been in it.

>> Hallelujah. I got I got Alex going read one read read just one I had Alex reading about nine scriptures but I don't want to belabor the point just read this Psalms 86 that I gave to you okay read it in English read it in English grande "For thou art great and doest wondrous things." Hold it again. Go slow. >> "For thou art great" >> "thou art great." Watch. >> "And doest wondrous things." >> "And doest wondrous things." Read. >> "For thou art God alone." >> "You are God alone." Next verse. >> "Teach me thy way, O Lord. >> "I will walk in thy truth. Unite my heart to feel thy name."

>> "Come on. Come on." >> "I will praise thee, oh Lord, my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify thy name forevermore."

>> "Come on. He hasn't read the scripture I gave him yet. For great is thy mercy towards me, and thou has delivered my soul from the lowest hell. >> "Thou has delivered me from the lowest hell. Not because I'm worthy, but because you're worthy. Not because I'm spiritual, but because you're spiritual."

[Applause] Woo! The lowest hell. >> "The lowest hell."

>> "Okay, stay stay with me just a minute. I'm going to try to I'm going to butcher this whole thing and say when he turned around in Chronicles he said if I call and make no rain to come or if I call for the locust and let the locust eat up your crop so you go into a financial disaster or if I want to give you COVID which is called pestilence >> and I let you have pestilence. So what? You got no rain. You got no crop and your pestilence.

"If my people >> which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways. Watch. Then will I forgive their sins? Then will I heal their land. If my people will, I will." Hallelujah.

>> "Can I have five minutes? Just five minutes. Just five minutes. I got an hour and a half, but I'll just take five minutes cuz I know you got your your your car cruise going on out there and you got your brand new church. I'm going to tell you something. No charge. I pray every day for this church. I prayed every day for you to be able to sell your property, get this one sold, got that one. Every day I pray. I feel like Samuel who turned around was moved out of public ministry and went into private ministry.

>> "The nation rejected God and rejected him. He said, "God forbid that I should cease to pray for you and intervene for you." So instead of public ministry, he went in and he started the school of the prophets. So now here I am. I'm in my senior years. I've had a wonderful time having the privilege of being the pastor here. I'm in my se I'm in my sunset years. But God has opened up Arie's garage.

>> "And I just keep pumping it out and keep pumping it out and keep pumping it out. And I thank God because this church has helped us financially so we could get that started and we could get doing that. Am I making sense? Are you I'm looking for some of you super glued people. You know what? You need to tell your face you're saved >> cuz you could have fooled me. If you're full of joy, you're hiding it real well.

>> "I help you. If God has done nothing for you, keep your mouth shut and sit on your rear end and fold your hands. But if God ever brought you out, if God if God ever made a way, if God ever answered prayer, woo, there ought to be a praise. There ought to be a worship. If he's ever brought you from fence, from fence, from fence. In your worst moment, I'm going to bring you out. In your darkest time, I'm going to bring you out. Woo!"

Okay, sit down. I'm going to close. I'm going to close. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. I'm going to close. I'll just I'm going I got four pages. I'm going to close. Okay. Just watch. We love to preach about the prodical son. Guess what? The prodical son is in a pig pen with hogs and he wishes he could eat the husk that's fell from the skins and he's sitting in the that mess and he's insulted his father and he's wasted his inheritance and he's lived like a fool and he wakes up in that slop and watch and from then >> at that moment while he he didn't wait till he got out and got it right >> he made a decision while he decision while he was wrong >> he said my father's servants got plenty to eat. I'm perishing with h I'm getting my and I'm paraphrasing. I'm getting my ignorant self out of here >> and I'm going back home and I'm going to apologize and I'm going to say just make me one of your servants. Let me tell you something, ladies and gentlemen. I don't care what UPC believes. You never become unsung.

>> "You can't be unborn again. If you've been a son of God, you're still a son of God. If you're a daughter now, you may get disinherited because of behavior, but God, >> he said, make me as one of your servants. I can't. You're my son.

>> "Now, he'll punish his children, but he's not going to give them up. He's not going to turn I wish God would him. God will not turn his back on you, no matter how foolish and stupid we get. He said, "I'll never leave you and I'll never forsake you. I'm going to make a way for you to escape."

>> Hallelujah. >> "Okay. Can I Two minutes? Two minutes. He's Okay. You ready? Say, "Sit down." So powerful. So power. I I I had I got like nine items that I wanted to preach about the story of Jonah. You know, we're talking about Jonah and the whale. Yeah. Yeah. You missed the whole story. Jonah, watch this. The story of Jonah was he disobeyed and ran away from the Lord. Anybody here done that? Yeah. Thank you. At least four honest people. Thank you. Okay. And and he run away and the Lord prepared a great fish. Watch. Here's here was the first point I had was given it to to Alex. It said, "And the fish swallowed him." I want to ask you something before I leave. Anybody besides me ever had a situation that swallowed you?

>> "Amen." >> "Amen. That was that was nine of you. Thank you very much. >> "Let me try to deal the rest of the hypocrites. Anybody else ever had God let you get swallowed up by a situation that you couldn't fix?

>> "Hallelujah. >> "Said he got swallowed up. Next verse, if you read chapter 2, he says, "Therefore, I cried unto the Lord from the belly of the fish."

>> "Fine. Now watch, he goes a little further. And then I cried unto the Lord, watch this, "From the belly of hell."

>> "And he said, "Then he goes a little further. He said, "And thou cast me into depths of the sea.

>> "And the weeds wrapped around my neck, and the seas overwhelmed me." Now, here we go. This is your last chance to shout. You ready?

>> "Come on. Get ready. Unbuckle your seat belt. You ready? And he said, "And I went down >> to the bottom of the mountain. >> "You can't get any lower than the bottom, baby. If you're on the bottom, you're on the bottom. That's as low as you can go." Guess what? God raised him up from the bottom and brought him out of the whales. Woo! Some somebody needs a shout at me. I'm at the bottom, >> but I'm coming up. >> "And when I come up, I'm coming out. >> "And when I come out, I'm going to have a testimony. Look what the Lord has done.

>> "Oh, hallelujah. Oh, hallelujah. Oh, hallelujah. Oh, hallelujah. Oh, hallelujah.

>> "So, as as I try to try to but you can stand up. As I try to uh slaughter this message that I got here, I need to ask you one question. Are you honest enough to name your fence?

>> "Cuz your fence may not be my fence. >> "Condition, a location, a place of problems. Maybe your fence is dishonesty. Maybe it's immorality. Maybe it's it's foolishness. Maybe it's anger. Maybe it's bitterness. Maybe it's frustration. Maybe it's personal failure. Whatever your fence is, you got to name it before you can get free from it.

>> "Now, I know I know a church this size filled with this many people, it's very easy to just turn around and said, "Maybe you've been hurt by somebody." Yes.

>> "But hurts can hold you hostage. Injustice can do a job on you.

>> "Words are powerful wounds.

>> "And and and I'll just tell you right now, I I'm the president of that club.

>> "I've been damned and condemned and ridiculed. I've been railed on, criticized, humiliated. That's fine, man. I'm glad. Take a big bite out of me. Somebody needs a good meal. You ready? I'm still here. I'm still swinging at the ball. I'm still praying. I'm still confessing. I'm still repenting. Even like David of old who committed adultery with with another man's wife and got her pregnant, turned around and just lived like a hypocrite for a year. Read Psalms 32 3-5. All day long my bones roared in me. My moisture dried him. My thy hand was heavy upon me. Watch. So I confessed my sin. You ready? Okay, brother Tony. Now you've got my permission. I'm supposed to be the bishop. Ah, you got my permission. You can dance a little right now. Thou watch. Thou forgave me. Okay, are you are you ready? We're going to do Hey, Kaitlyn, you're so sweet. I like You ready? Stand up. Watch this. And Hannah and Hannah wants to have a male child and she can't get pregnant. And Panida has babies like a rabbit farm. She just has them one after the other after the other after the other. and she's in agony. Rose Hannah is in agony and she's brokenhearted. Read 1st Samuel 1. And she pours her heart out to God, but her lips move, but there's no voice. And Eli, who is spiritual as a donkey, turns around and says, said, "Put that wine and that strong drink away from you." So easy to get misjudged by people who are not spiritual. And she says, "Do not think that I'm a woman of evil spirit. I'm a I'm a woman of a broken spirit and a broken heart. I'm desperate and hungry for God to give me a manchild. That's all I'm wanting. Watch what Eli says. The Lord grant you your request. Go in peace. Now watch. That is a prophecy from God's priest. He said, "The Lord grant you." Now watch. I never heard this in all my life. Never. Robert, you need to write this down and preach it all over the world. You ready? The next verse, here's what it says. And Hannah's countenance was no more sad.

>> "There you go. >> "You you you I I got to get away from you. Beth Beth, I got to go over here, you know, again.

>> "You ready? >> "She's not physically pregnant.

>> "She is spiritually pregnant. She hasn't had relations with her husband yet. They haven't gone home. But he turned around. He said, "The Lord grant you your request." Said, "Okay, watch." And her countenance was no more sad.

>> "Is it possible that you could change your outlook and the way you act before you experienced a performance?

[Music] Baba said her countenance was no more sad. Watch. And she rose up and she worshiped the Lord. Still not pregnant physically, but pregnant spiritually and prophetically. Now, God has given everybody in this place promises. And we don't know how long it's going to take till the promises are performed. But while we're holding on to the promise, why don't you change your countenance? Why don't you change your action? Why don't you Why don't you change your attitude?

[Applause] Now, I've done the best I could. I I I'm very sorry I didn't do better. Uh but but you know, that's just life in the big city. So I just want to tell you no matter what kind of hell and crisis and cases crisis or or catastrophe that you are in >> no matter how messed up you are in no matter how horrible whatever the doctor said whatever the lawyer said what whatever the banker said fine I'm not doubting that I'm just saying hold on because in the midst of your situation you're going to hear a voice from God that says but if from then if If you start praising while you're in trouble, if you start worshiping while you're hurting, if you start reaching out to God while nothing makes sense, God said, "I will bring you out. I will deliver you. I will give you your inheritance." Okay, come on. We need to praise God now.

[Applause]
