So he got all of his equipment confiscated after he tried being the first IRL streamer out of Antarctica. Welcome to self-sealing logic loops, as presented to you by my friend Carlos, who's been on my bowling team for the last 10 years, and he went to Antarctica last week.
Self-sealing logic loops work in two ways. The first is where evidence against the claim is then taken as evidence of how good the conspiracy actually is. So when the creator of this video says, "This Antarctica is the most gate-kept landmass on the entire planet, and we occasionally get glimpses of what people who went there claim they saw," yeah, nobody can get there. Unless you're Carlos or his 91-year-old dad, who just wanted to go to Antarctica at some point during his life. So Carlos took him.
He then goes on to cite how other people are afraid to talk about it, like Mr. Beast and other people who were on YouTube, which, by the way, is called a false testimonial, where we take people who are authorities in one space and then pretend that they're authorities in other spaces just because they're recognizable. So we pretend the ethos transfers. It's not cheap, I understand that. But is this being gate-kept to the global elite? Absolutely not. If you have the money to go, you can just book the cruise anyway.
But what about the cave? You don't know about the cave? And then he posted this video saying, "This is what he saw before they took away his Starlink." Some sort of massive wall of ice with a cave entrance going into something.
The second step to a self-sealing logic loop is that a lack of evidence is just proof of how well the actual truth is hidden. An appeal to ignorance is where a conclusion is drawn from a lack of evidence and therefore shifts the burden of proof. So the idea would be, you haven't proven that you are innocent, therefore you are guilty. You haven't proven that this isn't a conspiracy, therefore it is. So in this case, all of the evidence is what's in that cave, and that's enough. That's proof of it.
But look where Carlos was. Here's the video that demonstrates that, like, I don't know, the Earth is flat and we're surrounded by an ice wall. But then here's one of the 25 videos that Carlos sent me because he was tourist-ing the hell out of Antarctica. That place over his shoulder, if you just kept on taking the boat a little way over, I'm pretty sure that Carlos was in the exact same spot as that original video was.
But how did Carlos get away with that? Remember, you're not allowed to film there. Did you see this part? Just 1 hour after he started live streaming in Antarctica, he has his Starlink taken away and is told that he can't get it back until he leaves the continent. So the community notes are saying that it was just the cruise ship policy that they don't allow Starlinks on board 'cause they want you to pay for their internet or whatever.
Because if you ignore that part about it being part of the policy, and therefore that's why they took it away, it seems a little fishy to me that they took it away from him, huh? A lot of these boats already have Starlink, and the ones that don't are getting it added to them. This is on the damn website. It's publicly available.
Self-sealing logic loops are so damn strong because whether the information agrees or disagrees, all roads lead to confirmation of the belief. Even if I have Carlos, who just wanted to play with penguins in Antarctica.
