We are continuing our Jupiter series and working through the planet of luck and hopes and dreams. And now we get to look at the Jupiter in aspect to Mercury. Transiting Jupiter and really, like all Jupiter transits, these are pretty darn good. There aren't many difficult Jupiter transits. And we've gotten to talk a lot, um, from talking about the other planets, uh, and aspect of Jupiter, we've got to talk about how overdoing it, overextending ourselves, overreaching, excess, that can be where we get into trouble. But other than that, Jupiter transits tend to be pretty good stuff. So we do want to watch ourselves. But, um, we have a certain amount of luck that can come to us depending on our behavior because sometimes things can go off the rails. But Jupiter transits to inner planets are worth putting on the calendar because they are a temporary bright spot in our life, a temporary point of ease.
So let's start with Jupiter conjunct to Mercury. These two are naturally opposite to each other. Mercury and Jupiter have a very strong archetypal relationship. They are two points of balance. The one is the consequence of the other, their counterparts in astrology. So when we have the conjunction, we have the mixing of what is naturally polar opposites. This is a very good transit. Conjunctions represent the beginning of something new, the hatching of something new, birth of something new. And we have a new 12-year cycle of envisioning our hopes and our dreams and pursuing what is inspiring us in our life. Jupiter and what do we do every day? What are our daily habits? What is our plan? What are the details? So we have with the conjunction, the marriage of the broad sight and the detailed sight. So we see it all. When we have this transit in conjunction, we can see far and we can see near. That gives us an opportunity to correctly evaluate our life, our problems, and how are we pursuing the dream for our life? What smaller plans of action, what habits do or don't support that long-term dream? So we're seeing far, near, wide, myopically. And it helps us to have all the information. We don't tend to seek out as much counsel. And I, I think that we don't have to. When we have the conjunction, we absolutely, with the other difficult, well, I wouldn't say this is a difficult aspect, but with the square, the opposition, we absolutely do need counsel. We need another opinion. We need input in order to make good decisions. But with the conjunction, we just have such a 360-degree view that we're taking it all in. And that makes it more likely that we are going to come to a well-informed conclusion and take action in a way that is well-informed. So we can come up with some excellent, inspiring plans at this time. A lot of people will complete the bulk of a work at this conjunction. Uh, Jupiter is publishing, it's sharing our ideas and the word and what we write far and wide, spreading the dissemination of our ideas. And Mercury is the idea. So when we have these two coming into a conjunction, it's so easy for us to communicate in ways that spread, that take effect, that creates some kind of ways. So our popularity is actually quite good with the conjunction. We can find that our, our circle will enlarge. How we are being at the conjunction, at the sextile, at the trine, our way of being helps other people to engage with us successfully. Other people want to engage with us. Other people want to consult with us. When we are being polite, rational, well-informed, we have good arguments. This all goes to successful communication with other people. So the conjunction is quite a good event. So if we have something that needs to be finished, a work, a piece of art, something where we're putting our idea into whatever, spreading our own vision, novels, anything of that sort, it is very, very easy for that kind of thing to catch fire, for it to spread. So not just our way of being is helping us to grab on to successful opportunities because other people want to engage with us, we have successful communication, but also we have good ideas. We have ideas that are hatching at the conjunction into something bigger. So they may take root at the conjunction. This is where we get a lot going. And if something's been laying around, this is when we can pick it back up. So there's a good amount of inspiration when it comes to sharing our ideas. We feel inspired and we are also inspiring. So we may find that there's more cooperation around us when it comes to how we share our ideas and who we share them with. Lots of support with the conjunction.
So let's look at the sextile between Jupiter and Mercury. Also very good. And we know that sextiles are constructive. That is the key word for sextiles. We work in ways that make sense. We make decisions in ways that are rational. So sextiles are the workhorses in our charts. And they are something that helps us to very successfully build whatever it is we're working towards in our life when we have it in transit. So we can very much identify who has the kind of answers and the input and counsel that we need. And we are teachable at the sextile and the trine. Very, very teachable. Not so much at the square or the opposition. We tend to need counsel. But the sextile and the trine, we are open to learning. We're open to advice. We recognize that it's going to help us to make the best decision to get a variety of opinions. So we are not interested in being an echo chamber at the sextile. It doesn't make sense to us because variety is a rational thing to pursue at this time. We know that if we only surround ourselves with yes people or with people who agree with us, we're not going to get all of the information. So agenda is not something that really drives our information seeking at the sextile. We want to know. We don't want to know or we don't want to have information come in that only feeds a certain idea or agenda. It just doesn't make sense to us at this time in our life. So with the sextile or the trine, uh, but particularly with the sextile, we are adding new skills to our life. We can be more open to going back and finishing training or getting more training or say we've already graduated from whatever it is we're doing several years ago. We may pick up some new literature and update our information at this time. So we get smarter. Without trying, because our curiosity is really driving us to ask really good questions at the sextile and find people and find information that is going to be able to give us the best answer. We are very cooperative at the sextile as well. And communication can go extremely well with other people, extremely well. Because we are genuinely listening. We are curious. We're open. We might even ask questions that typically we wouldn't think to ask. People feel that we are interested in them and they want to respond to that. So this is an exceedingly good transit. Although it is quiet, we may do more writing. Sextiles are known for the pen and the head making a big connection and really using the hand to express ourselves. I, we're very productive at this point. And we can be looking at how are our daily routines and the way that we organize our life not in tune with what we ultimately want in the realm of our hopes and our dreams and makes some very specific alterations that can help us to become more successful. We might even look at how our health habits may be helping or hurting us, getting to that larger dream that we have for ourselves, that Jupiterian dream. So we're cooperative. We are curious. We have good, not just insight, but a type of clairvoyance, an ability to accurately see what's coming, to clearly interpret what is coming down the pike. So it's, um, it's a very smart, intelligent time in our life. They say that's probably the best, the best word that I could use to describe this is that we are particularly intelligent. We are not pursuing our Jupiterian dreams. And, and Jupiter is also what we believe in. This can be a time when we aren't believing in as many stupid things as we usually do. And just getting closer to being able to see the world through a more rational lens. And that can be something that we bring with us through this entire transit, the 12-year cycle. So very, very, very good transit.
Let's look at the square between Jupiter and Mercury. The square has us being very talkative. We tend to be a chatterbox at the square. We need people to bounce our ideas off of. They may not be the people that have the best insight or experience or counsel for us. We have to be careful about who we're consulting. We do seek out more of an echo chamber, people who agree with us with the square. And we can get into that with the opposition as well. But the square is the worst culprit when it comes to wanting to believe that's comforting. And we have to make sure that we aren't reinforcing what we want to be true because that doesn't put us in a very good position to be able to make good decisions because we don't have all the information. So we have to be careful about who we consult and what kind of ideas we proceed on to to really stop ourselves and check out the details, see if the devil is in the details. And this can be a good transit to start projects under, start businesses under, as can every transit from Jupiter to Mercury is good for that. But this one, now we have to make sure that we are being realistic about our expectations. We are coming up with a good plan. In fact, we may not plan at all. We may just do with this square. And that's when we can find that we're going to have to back up and fill in a lot of gaps. So it's kind of like a super Mercury retrograde when we don't take everything into account when we have this particular square. So what we end up doing is we end up wasting energy in the long run. We end up wasting time and resources. And it doesn't mean we can't be successful. What we may have to double back. So it's like our our plan of action, if there is one, often has some holes in it. And if we can ask other people, if we can get good advice, which can itself be a bit hard, we may have to find somebody who we consider to be kind of a Debbie Downer to give us that advice. But if we can find that, then this can be a very good transit because there's an exuberance with it. There's an excitement that's infectious. So we have to be careful about who we're getting on board with our projects as well because we may not be completely solvent in what we're doing. So other people could lose trust in us. Um, if there's investments, they could lose money. We want to be careful that we are crossing all of our T's and dotting all of our I's. And if we are, we're in a very good position to win. We're in a very, very good position to get some very good results out of what we're doing. We are probably not stopping to examine how our habits and daily lives are or are not supporting what our hopes and our dreams are. We probably should, but we usually are too busy and too excitable to be doing that boring stuff at the square. So I don't tend to see people making a lot of improvements when it comes to that section of life. That this is more about growing a bit more out of control. And then we can take stock of that at the trine. But, um, this can be a a transit where we get a lot out of it. We do see a lot of rewards. Our popularity can grow. We can do more distributing of our ideas, of our information. Talking our ideas can definitely spread, as can happen with the other transits. But we want to make sure that our ideas are solid. We want to make sure that we aren't spreading crap or we aren't spreading opinions that aren't informed because we do spread things. And we don't want to get past this and look back and think, oh gosh, I wish I hadn't said that or, uh, turns out that it's kind of wrong about that issue. And we can experience some amount of embarrassment or regret if we aren't being careful about what we are popularizing at this particular junction.
Are we ready for the trine? Looks like it. Uh, so the trine also, uh, very good transit. We don't tend to feel overly exuberant with the trine. So there isn't a kind of a hold your horses kind of thing going on like there is with the other, um, harder aspects like the conjunction, the opposition, the square. We are loping along at a good pace anytime we have a trine, but not really feeling rushed. This is not the laziest transiting trine that we can have, however, because these are two very active planets. Jupiter is about active travel, active doing. Mercury is a ball of nerves, they can't sit still. It's a very active combination. So even in a trine, we still see acting on our hopes and our dreams. It's not something where we'll just want to sit and watch the clouds go by. We do find very good counselors and input. We are a good counselor. We have good advice when we have the trine going on because we have good sight. We have perspective. And the advice that we give is intelligent. It is not coming from a place of personal agenda. And we can be more vulnerable under this transit. We can be more willing to share some of our personal experience and our mistakes. And other people can very much learn from that. It's nice when someone in the world can go through something really difficult and then the rest of us can just get that lesson from hearing about it. That's nice. Uh, I think a lot of us have to experience things in order to really, really learn it. But during the trine, we just might be able to benefit from other people's difficulties. And other people can benefit from our difficulties because we're honestly sharing what some of those have been. So it's easier to get along with people under the trine because we are communicating in a magnanimous way. We aren't pushy. We are curious, as with the sextile. But I think that with the trine, we're more apt to listen rather than to talk, to take in, to really be interested. And that does a lot for people to just be listened to or to be looked at in such a way where when they're talking, they really feel like they are being heard. They can make us feel very validated. So our relationships can grow well under this trine because we are talking, we are being revealing. And other people are likely to be revealing also because we are holding that space of vulnerability, really opening that door and inviting other people. So we're very fearless with our opinions, fearless with our thoughts, fearless with our experience at this particular trine. Confidence trines bring, you know, trines bring confidence where sextiles bring skills. Any planets that are in trine, I think that's why they are inherently lazy because they already feel that I've got this all sewn up. We don't try with trines. And I think that this is a time when we are completely laid back. We're not disinterested with this trine, absolutely not. We are actively communicating and involving ourselves in the lives of other people. But, uh, in a way where we are more receptive rather than trying to get our ideas out there. The taking in of ideas, really, because we're so teachable, so, so exceedingly teachable. We are taking in. We are a good student of the world at this particular time in our life. A lot of people are going back to higher education as well with this trine, are completing certificates or educational goals, books they've been working on, articles because we do feel like we can do it. We believe in ourselves. And education seems important to us at this time. So very, very, very good transit. A lot of people do study things that are not quite as linear, a more abstract language, astrology, esoteric topics, spiritual topics. There can be a draw to study things that bring a type of inspiration into our life.
So let's take a look at the opposition between Jupiter and Mercury. Good stuff here too. Uh, so we have the hatching at the conjunction. And now at the opposition, we have the answer to that. We have the culmination. The idea is grown up, where the idea is, or the project, the pursuit, it's ready to be taken to the public. It's ready to be launched in a more major way at the opposition. So we have to be careful at the opposition that we aren't taking on too much because very much like the square, we can be trying to pack too much in, too many ideas, too many projects. We're very exuberant. And in our exuberance, we may not be looking at the time, the details, what's actually needed, the bones of getting something off the ground and delivered. So we may fall short of the success that we really want to have if we aren't taking both Mercury, which is the detail and the small things, into consideration, and Jupiter, which is the inspiration, larger ideal that we're trying to get to. So we, we are very good at acting with both of those things in mind at the conjunction. It's natural to us. This is why we make such good decisions and are good judges, judges of ourselves and others at that time. At the conjunction, two things are fused. But they are requiring our effort at the opposition to have these two things work in tandem. We have to know that unless we consider the facts and the fiction, we probably aren't going to have the kind of complete success that we're looking for. We have to find out everything that's involved in a plan, a pursuit, something that we want, the goal that we are envisioning and pursuing. And we need to find people who can help us. At the conjunction, we're pretty much a self-starter and we really don't require a ton of input because we are ourselves so good at seeing it all, having this 360-degree vision. But we may only have 180-degree vision. We may only have half the story at the opposition. And we need to find other people who can complete that picture for us. We require assistance. We need to be flexible. We need to be open. But at the end of the day, it has to be us that ultimately makes the last final decision or choice. We want to get as much input, we want to get as much insight, we want to make sure to tap into other people's experience. But it has to be us at the end point that in taking all of that into consideration, we have to be responsible. And that's what we're finding with this opposition is that we are as successful as we are responsible. So we can have great success with the opposition. Sometimes things can get out of whack and we'll have to call the horses back into the barn. And that's, that's okay. We are allowed to make mistakes. We're allowed to have things get a bit out of hand. That's how we learn. But we want to make sure that we have all of our ducks in order. And it can take some shifting around, some backing up. It's because any one of these transits that's going to be the flavor of the year when it comes through or more. It's really in play until the next phase, the next transit, um, or until we're halfway to the next transit. And then we have kind of a blending of the two. But I think recognizing how we need to reposition ourselves to have the best success at the opposition is what we need to be prepared for because we may not have everything that we need. And it's okay for us to back up and get into a better position for success. So I think at the opposition, it's pretty rare that it goes as swimmingly as the conjunction. We can actually get just as good of results as the conjunction. But that's usually after some amount of repositioning or redoing or trimming some of the fat or learning to say no and focus better on what it is that really needs to be focused on. So we can be a scatterbrain at the opposition. And as scattered as we are, that's pretty much equal to the kind of success that we're going to have during that particular transit. We can be very teachable. We are interested in the truth of things at the opposition. We're not as intentionally myopic as we are with the square. But a lot of the the actual getting the truth of something is going to depend on how good are our sources of sources of information are. We are seeking out people that we don't necessarily agree with. That can be helpful. Listening to insights or explanations or opinions of people that we don't necessarily agree with. That can be extremely helpful at the opposition because that can give us the fullness of the information that we may have been missing. So we have to make an effort to gain that 360-degree vision. That's pretty much effortless at the conjunction.
Oh, do we have any questions? But the other thing I was going to say too, because I, I didn't realize this, what you said, you know, I'm thinking about the transit of Jupiter to Mercury and it goes, you know, from, you know, the conjunction, the sextile, square, the opposition. And you're saying that you see, I always looked at the transits it's like, you know, it's coming active like maybe a couple of degrees before it's exact and then a couple of degrees afterwards. And I kind of think, oh well, the energy isn't in play, you know, until it meets that makes the next. Is that, is that am I wrong in that? No, it is in play until it meets the next aspect. So as it's approaching, it is getting stronger as a planet is approaching. So let's just look at Jupiter Mercury as the example. So as Jupiter is approaching Mercury, we have the building energy and we can have events related to that transit. But as it's exact, we tend to see the crescendo of it. We'll, we'll see obvious events and circumstances in our life that are related to that particular transit. But as the transit separates, see, it's only opened the door. It's, it's triggered the phase of that transit. It hasn't ended. So if it's say a conjunction, that conjunction and the behaviors that we associate with it, that is all going on until we reach the next aspect. So, you know, a Jupiter transit and the way that I see it lasts about a year. But we, we can see more vigorous activity as the transit is culminating, is becoming exact, and then is exact.
