I just want to take this time in in just giving God praise and glory for this Sunday, fifth Sunday, last Sunday in the month of June, last day in the month of June. And as we go forth in our worship, we pray, pray God, that Your presence will be with us today. We pray that You will lead and You will guide. We pray, dear Father in Heaven, that You will bless everything this morning that is to be said and done and allow them to be done to the glory and the honor of Your name. Lord, let self be crucified this morning and help us, Lord God, to see only You, for only You is worthy of our praise. Choose, we beseech You, this morning, dear God, the next song. The song writer declared, "If we do not hear from You, Lord, then what will we do?" So God, we ask the fresh touch, fresh anointing, that You'll speak through Your servant. Hallelujah. Only a mighty God. I could just call a name while I was going down. I said, "God of Mercy, have mercy." And I went down and I hit the ground so hard. My head burst over here. It was a rough time, and I really want to give God thanks to my youngest daughter and Sister Andrea. God Almighty bless her. I'm glad that she was with me. I will not tell you the ordeal, but I am glad that God made me. I, I am so glad what He has entrusted to my care. And I'm very passionate about God's people and God's work, very passionate. I don't care what you have, who you are, I don't care what you do. Nobody D and leave me in charge. He entrusted His work in my hand and He promised to see about me. And I leave it in His hands. He's going to take care of me. Doesn't matter what happened. We went through an ordeal, but I am glad that God made us. And I am glad that I went. I am very glad. When I saw some, the one of the W, the daughter's husband came over and he put his hand and he was so, oh my God, he said, "I'm so glad." It means a lot to her family. She had over a hundred family members there. It was a big funeral. And thank God it was a blessing. It rained, but God held up when time to go to the cemetery, and we were able to go through. So I'm grateful to that. I'm grateful to God for taking us. Leaving here Friday morning to come back Saturday night. Didn't make it back here until Monday night. But to God be the glory. To God be the glory. Great things He have done. I am just here today. I'm grateful to the Almighty God. As I said, He entrusted His work in my hand. I remember in the '90s when I started going to London, and God kept me there. I think it's over 20 years I kept going every year to Young People's Convention, of which Sister Jackie Boing, she was Jackie wasn't married yet, but she was a member of the young people's group. And I tell her when I'm there, I fret when is her day to cook because she comes with such things that for days it will be there because it is so much. They used to take good care of me in London. And she wanted to come back to here. She's been here twice. It's our third trip here. And today I just grateful. She got married and thank God she's in the church. The Lord has promoted her to a Light Brigade and has given her a word. Praise God. Thank God when you see young people stay with God. We have to pray for them and love them and let them know they are appreciated. I try to tell my grands in the house daily how much I appreciate them for standing with us in the work. [Applause] And sometimes I get a little bit annoyed when I hear the talk about this ministry and my children are left out because the work started with them as children. They were young, younger than the grands. And so many times their rooms were invaded, they didn't have any privacy. But thank you, Sister Ver, you know the story. But I am grateful and I never heard anybody says they're not coming back because of the children. Let's be grateful then. I'm going to wait until them de cussed here, then I'm going to say it. I want them to know that I appreciate them being with us. It could be [Music] otherwise, but thank God. Andrea went to, when, when they came down, it was taken off the choir in Brooklyn, the young people's choir, and came and started to play. She was the first organist here. Many Friday nights, whenever things don't go well in rehearsal, I know she come in and you hear the door slam, and she gone in her room, not a word. Things didn't okay, leave her alone. Something didn't go right. So they're a part of it. And the ground one come, and I want to tell you, I have never heard mother or me saying, "You have to go to church today." They just spring up. As mother say, "Ready." They're gone. And in the presence of everybody, I want to tell them thanks. Thank you, Rihanna. Thank you, Alexis. Raria is not here, but I thank Him for the time that when he was here. Let us not forget to say thanks. We didn't just get big overnight. Let us remember the journey we were on. The Light Begats, the workers, the saints in the name of Jesus. Today is Women's Day. What is it? Women's Day. I'm an interactor. What day is it? Women's Day. And I want to ask you, how do you feel when you come out the wilderness, leaning, leaning, leaning on the Lord? How do you feel? Some of us women have been in some wilderness. Wilderness of pain, wilderness of ill-treat, wilderness, wilderness, wilder, wilderness. How do you feel when you come out the wilderness, leaning on the Lord? H David said, "I will praise Him all through my infirmities." And it sounds like there were some infirmities here today, and you overcome by the word of God. You overcome by the touch of God. And this mommy said she's known me over 20 years. You know, we look forward to her coming to England every year. You know, if there's a year that she don't come, we want to know why, because she used to come every year. She comes every year. And you know, we must salute some of our longtime warriors. I want to tell you something. I pro, you probably know it all already, but this lady will discuss anything with you, even when you don't want to hear it, she is discussing it with you. That's a mother. And I give God thanks for the mentors, the mothering people in the City Mission. And sometimes we walk past the.
Young people, you know, and you know it used to bother me. They just step past you, Pastor, and they don't say good evening or good afternoon. But sometimes you have to be the bigger person and stop, stop them, and say, "Hello, how are you doing?"
I stopped one in church. She was, they were born in the church. She didn't even know my name. So I introduced myself. "I am Sister Jackie, and you are so and so." And when we walk past each other, we say, "Hello, how are you doing?" It works, my God.
So I said to myself, "Lord, He has a sense of humor." You know, I was coming here. When soon as I was coming here, I said, "Lord, you know, you need to give me something different. I don't want another light beg's message. I don't want another preacher's message. I would like my own to give something tangible to the people and walk away."
So, you know, I bought my notes and I put it in my little pulley. And I'm coming on the plane. And all of a sudden, at the door, they said to me, "Ma'am, there is no more room for the pulley." I'm going, "Sorry, there is no more room for the pulley. You have to put it under the plane." I thought to myself, "My uniform is in there. My hat is in there. My Bible is in there. My notes is in there." So I can sit through the seven hours and just soak the word in there.
"You have to put it in the bottom of the plane." So I'm walking to the plane, Pastor, upset. "Oh Lord, what is going on here? What am I going to? What words?" I sat on the plane, no paper, just about found a pen. And I sat down and I watched the film. And the film is called "An Ordinary Angel." I don't know if you've seen the film. But the film starts off with a husband and wife, and the wife just has a baby. But the wife became ill and dies, leaving the husband with the two children to bring up. 5-year-old, I believe, and a 10-year-old.
A year later, the 5-year-old becomes sick, bleeding through her nose, bleeding. She has either liver disease or kidney disease. Now, the gentleman, he lost his wife. His 5-year-old is sick. He spent all his money on the medical. My God, I didn't realize our American medical bills are so high. $400,000 he ran up on the medical. He's behind in the mortgage. The child is sick. He has nobody else. His mother moves in, gives up everything that she has to support her son.
Then this lady came from nowhere because things wasn't working in her life. So she said, "I want to make a change in somebody else's life." So she walks into the church the day of the funeral. And she says, "Introduce yourself." That man said, "Who are you? Are you somebody? Are you a friend of my wife?" "Oh, no, no. I've just came in to have a look." Man pulled his children away and said, "Come, come over here. Don't know her." Little short skirts walk into the church.
Be careful who we turn away. Be careful who walks into your church seeking salvation. But because of their appearance, you skin up your nose, you turn away. You open the door to exit them out. But God might have sent them in for you to minister to them. So in comes this little lady in her little short skirt and a short hat. Had a rough night, you know, she drinks up, drinks up some vodka the night before. But God managed to show her something. This amazes me. Oh, because she had the knowledge and the understanding and the know-how to help this man out of his situation. God spoke to her. An inspiration. She said she walks into her friend. Um, she said, "I got an inspiration to help this man." But the man was a bit weary because, "I don't know you."
So Exodus 14:4, "The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still." Hallelujah. Some of us cannot be still. But He said He will fight for you. Listen, we're talking about taking water to parch places. The theme was taking water to parch places. But I'm asking you, how far will you go to take the water to the parch places? How far? How much will you sacrifice to take the water to the parch places? But Exodus reminds us, chapter 14, verse 4, "The Lord will fight for you. You need to be only still."
Do you know how to be still when you have no money to buy the children's shoes or food? We start to go into panic mode. But if we're children of God, we should have the word wet up and soak up within us to know. Exodus is reminding us to be still. So this lady came to encourage the young man not to give up. The man looked at her like, "You're mad. You're crazy. My wife is dead. My child is sick with tubes up her nose. I have a medical bill of $400,000. They're looking to take the house. My business cannot strive because they call me away every minute because of my child. And you're telling me to cheer up? There is a solution."
So Psalm 72:12, "For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also and him that hath no helper." So David was saying in the Psalms, he would deliver the needy. So we are to take that word that he would deliver. You heard the scenario that I just gave you. So what scenario have you been through? What is your story? Let me ask you that. That is one scenario. But what is your scenario? What do you want the Lord to deliver you out of when you cry? "The poor also." Poor doesn't really mean poor in finance. It can also mean poor in body, poor in spirit, poor in finance, poor in situations. Because Psalms 34 said this, "This poor man cried, and the Lord he heard him, and he delivered."
We just sang about "Mighty Long Way." Some of us are coming from a mighty long way. How long is your way? My God, my God. He was sinking deep in debt. But the Lord is... The lady said, "You know what? I want to help." So she said, "Chow out everything, all your finances." And when he threw them out, she did. "Oh, okay then." So what she did, like me, I'm sort of a fixer myself. She put them into categories. "This is the debts for the house. This is the debts for the car. This is the debts for the business. And this is the debts for the medical debts."
"Okay, let's work on..." You see, when you're in distress, you can't think. "Oh God, getting papers and somebody else will come along." "All right, let me make a start. Sister Jackie, let's look at the debt of the house. Let's look at the debt of the business. Oh, let's look at the debt of the church. Let's look at the debt. Let's look at the debt." And he sat there, he rubbed his head, and he said, "Oh, I can't." She went through every single bit of paper and put them in different categories and looked at the one, the worst one that we can start from. And looked at the one, "Oh, we can forget that one." She went to his parch place.
What is your parch place? You have to correct yourself first before you can go out there. Because when the prostitute comes in, when the alcoholic comes in, when the abuse ladies, and even abuse gentlemen, coming, if you don't sort out your parch place, how are you going to sort out their parch place? What is your parch place? Why are we so proud that we can't say, "Pastor, oh my God, can you speak to my husband or speak to my wife? I need you to look at this." Not wanting him to know my business, but you rather stay there in it. You stay in it and you sink in it like a sinking sand, like an anchor on the ship. And the anchor holds. And you start. And oh, when the Lord showed Mommy that sister won't help you now, and Mommy come to you, you know, Mommy walked stylish and she said, "Um, you need anything?" "No, ma'am. I'm fine." "What's spinning off?" "Mommy, no ma'am. I'm fine." And you're sinking, you're sinking, you're sinking, and you're sinking, but you will not accept the help.
So this lady went to the hospital. She never talked to the doctor. She didn't talk to the nurse. But she went to the CEO of the hospital. She goes straight to the source. Because she thought, "Medical bill, the doctor not have anything to do with the bill. The nurse not have anything to do with the bill. The sister don't have anything to do with the bill." Are going straight to the top. And this little woman in her little shiny skirt and a little... I look at the countenance of this woman. But I said to myself, "Lord, you can use anybody. He chooses who he uses."
So she had a, she had a little salon, you know, but she had her friend running it. But she was determined because she said she lost out on the relationship with her and her 23-year-old son. And she said she wants to make it right with somebody's children. She had the knowledge and understanding. She had the know-how. So off she went to the CEO, straight to the top. And it was three people on the board. She made sure she saw the three of them. And she sat. And they sat. She made a folder gone so high, we couldn't come down. She made a folder of the little girl with her picture. And she got the medical bill from the gentleman. And she said, "This man is drowning in debt that was caused from his wife who died on the date of so and so, the year of so and so. And now has a child with a kidney, needs a kidney, I think it says kidney or liver. And this debt, I want to know if some of it can be taken off."
You see, when you're on business for the King, don't take no for an answer. She backed off her cup. And they were looking her, thinking, "What's this? This woman with her little mini skirt, her high shoes." She had a vessel. When she take off her top. And they looked her up and down. But when she opened her mouth, she was a force to reckon with. Become a force to reckon with with the Lord. Be some secret weapon for God. Be some dangerous people for God. Take Satan's kingdom by force. My God, my God.
She said, "I want to know what can be done with this bill." "Oh, well, we're sorry. It was used on his wife and it has to be paid." She went into some laws. She researched the night before. Under section so and so, this one can help, that one can help. By the time she went back to the gentleman, said, "Here you go. Have a look at down there." Zzzzzzzzz. She told him, "I'm not leaving today until you help me with this bill. This man is drowning in debt. He's going to lose his house. His little girl might die. And I know there is a solution. Take Satan's kingdom by force. Bring the water to the parch place."
The three of them looked right and they looked left and they looked at her. But she was like this. They looked right and they looked left. And she was like this. And by the time she went back to the... the gentleman went in his room. And he bore like a baby. It is a true life story, apparently. He went into the room because he is determined not to sell. He said, "His children came into this house. His father built this house by side. And it's an heritage I want to keep." And my God, the man ended up keeping his house because of this lady's determination. Are you determined for God? Are you ready to get some water, dry up and moisten up your dry place? My God, my God.
Because we are water carriers. How can we carry the water when there's holes in our buckets? We are dry ourselves. We don't read the word of God. We don't study nothing. We don't go to no prayer meeting. We don't attend the services the way we should be. How can we take the water to the parch place? So the gentleman got a job fixing roofs. So he got the job. He formed a team. The daughter took sick. They called him. He had to run off the job. She started bleeding from her nose and her mouth. They had to take her to the doctor. She needs a liver.
Now he got so upset with the lady. "Why are you helping me? Leave me alone." She didn't leave. She went away. She did what the man asked. She left him alone. But when they called him and say, "We have a liver." She called up them. "We have a liver. Do your thing. Do what you need to do." All of a sudden, he wanted her back. She got on the phone. She got the CEO again of the airport. She went to the top. She went to five companies. By the time she was finished with them, she had five planes ready. Pilots did it with for no money.
Know your stuff. I'm not saying I know everything 100%, you know, Pastor. But I've given myself away. I got family to save. I got youths I got to talk to. They're on the street every day thinking that's the way. But the Lord said, "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world." I've never given birth to a child. But sometimes the pain that I see them in. You walk past them and you think, "Lord, I need to say something." But let you use me.
I went to a sports, a sports center about a month ago. And I parked my car. And I saw about three or four young youths. And they were sitting beside their Mercedes. I drive a little Renault Clio. And they, we have their Mercedes, you know, they have their name brand. And here comes Auntie Jackie with her round self. The Lord said, "There you go. Hear me." Oh, I wasn't ready for that. "There you go." And the Lord... I went up to them. And they said, "What you want, Auntie?" I said, "You know you're precious, don't you know that you're precious?" "Yeah, man. We know that." I said, "You know that you're precious, and you are the seed of tomorrow. And you're dying out. Look how much of you are dying on the street from stabbing, from shooting. And I just want to come over and say that you're loved." You know, a little bit of less that you're loved. You know, I'm a mother for you. And I just... He said, "Respect, Auntie." Everything good. We can't go over there and shout at them. What not doing? Shouting? No. And if the Lord don't give you authority, don't go. You get hurt. Let the Lord lead you. And He will tell you what to say. We can't approach them aggressively. You will get hurt. So I approached them with love. As much as the smell was, I approached them. It was strong. In a pastor going, "Lord, keep me through." I said, "I said, what you want, Auntie?" I said, "Listen, you're loved." "Love you, good." Oh, strong. Sister Andre, it was strong. But the Lord kept me through.
So approach them with love, with unity. Let them know that, you know, we understand. We've been there too. I was young too. Been there, done it, got the T-shirt. But the Lord saved me. And now it's time to get radical. Take it by force. They're dying out there. Somebody showed me something on my phone. My God, that thing reached me. A neighbor just left. The young 15-year-old said, "I'm just going on the road to buy chicken and chips." And the neighbor said, "The police pull up. Said, 'What's going on down there?'" He went down there. And somebody had taken a sword and cleaned out the... and the you. And it was light. You see the person, the police was stressed trying to put it all back in. I cried like a baby, like it was my son. That's somebody's baby, somebody's grandchild, somebody's great-grand. He belongs to somebody. The poor neighbor was crying. He said, "No, him from him born. These children are our future."
Women's Day today. Esther said, "If I perish, I perish. But I must see the King." Do you want to see the King? So when the liver came, there was a storm. This is how Satan bad. And the storm had blocked every road. No plane couldn't fly. No helicopter couldn't do nothing. But the call came in on that day. "We have a liver." So he called the lady. Because he knows he can't think. The power of women. I'm not knocking the men. But they said, "Behind every good woman, there is a good woman. Behind every good man, there is a good woman." I love my husband daily. I do love him daily. But he gets grumpy at times. But we still got to fix the suit. Make sure they look nice. Because when we go anywhere now, they're going to say, "Hold on a minute. Oh, oh, oh, Mr. Dr. Daniel looks so. Mommy never see you when you come out the house." They're asking if your wife never see if you come at the house. You fixed the suit. You make sure everything is there. Because it's you that going to play him. They're not going to say, "How him look so?" You know your wife didn't see you when you come out the house.
All right. So the liver came. And the man's mother said, "We can't. No. You're going to have to leave another day." He said, "Today we're having the operation. Today. She's not going through that another time." Today. The lady got on the phone again. And she told the CEO of the plane company. "We need to..." The gentleman said, "You know, we're not going to go." "Don't let me have to come down there." The lady said, "Find the pilot. Find the plane. Because this child has to be transported today." Are you serious about God? Are you serious about saving souls today? Never put off anything you can do today for tomorrow. Do it today. How serious are you? How far do you want to go to take water to parch places?
So he looked into his mother's eyes. And he said, "Today, she's going for it." Today. The lady got on the phone. She called up her friend. The friend watched the TV. And she see all the places that were closed. And she said, "No, he cannot drive that route. That route is cold. Take that route." Then the pastor called out, "All the bridge, get all the shovels out. Because we're shoveling the snow off the road. He's got to go to the airport." Then he couldn't get to the airport. They got a helicopter in the air. Because the pilot said, "I've flown in worse conditions than this." When they finally got the helicopter, the helicopter said, "I cannot see to land." Her 10-year-old sister took off a red scarf and ran in the middle and put it down. "Can you see now?" "Yes, I can see the scarf."
What are you ready to take off so people can see? What are you ready to change yourself so people can see? They turned on the headlights. Put the scarf in the middle. And the helicopter came down and took the child to the hospital. My brother, I had the song right here. "What a God." What a God. What a God. Can I tell you? I have it right down here. And when I hear him raise the song, me, the brother, sing him a song. What a God. What a God. Cannot tell you about the power of my God. He healed the sick. He healed the sick in here. And He raised the dead. What a God. What a God. What a God. What a God. Can I tell you about the power of my God?
There has to be somebody to change history. That lady changed the way the gentleman thought. We have to change the way people think about Christianity. Because there are still some of us holding up the blood-stained banner. There's still some of us holding it up. There's some of us that are troopers. Bishop Kerr always tell me that a quitter always quits, but a winner always wins. Are you a winner today? Women and men, are you a winner today? Don't quit. Don't give up. Because I want to tell you about the power of my God. We can get our children saved. We can get our husbands saved. We can get our wives saved. We can get them saved. But we have to come together with a link that cannot be broken.
I don't know about you, but I don't serve a dead God. I serve a living God. In the anniversary, they spoke from 2 Kings 7 about the men with the leprosy. And they sat outside the gate because nobody would give them nothing because of what they had. Pardon me. But one of them got up and said, "You know what? We can stay and die. I'll go over there. So go look." Are you going to stay and die or make a move somewhere? Do something about it. And you know what sweetens me? When they went into the camp, there was no seraphim. Nobody in there. God caused a loud noise, make them think, say it's more than one army. Come! And everybody get up and get it up, gone. Run left, go run left. H, donkey, silver, platinum, everything. And the four lepers in them, they must. If they must, pouring them, they're hungry, they're weak. And get up everything. And you know what sweetens me? The verse nine, he said, "They did eat." That's what sweetens me. They must not have for days. They did eat. And left. Go encourage the king.
So I'm going to leave it at this. We need to encourage our leaders because they are human beings too. And they carry the mantle. They stand in the gap when you can't pray. I'll tell you, have you ever felt sometime you have just grown when you can't pray? Then Pastor will stand up and he will storm the mercy seat for you. And the things that you can't say, God will lead him and her to say them. So I want to encourage you today. Be encouraged. And tell somebody about our God. Be encouraged. Men, be encouraged. If your marriage is not worth working, please find a mentor to speak to them. If your children are not behaving, there's nothing wrong to get somebody else's opinion. Don't stay there and die.
Mommy, why sit you here and die? When we can make a move. Make a move. One said, "Well, you know, we can't. We might go over there and we might get something to eat and we could die." But make it. If you don't move, you won't know. Make a move. How far will you go to take water to parch places? How far? How far will you go? How far? And what made me so happy about the ending of this story? The young man said, the lady's son that she was not having a good relationship. She said, "Mom, he came up to her when they were digging. He came out with his shovel and he said, 'Mom, I just had to come out because I can't believe what you're doing for this family. Maybe we can try again.'" And because of her actions, her son came out and said, "Maybe we can try again." I'm so proud of what you're doing for this little girl. Let somebody be proud of you. Let somebody want to hear you.
I was somebody that should have been ordained a long time ago. And I kept telling the Bishop, "No." But you know, God had to have a hand in it and tell me, "It's time." Because he starts using you. He starts, you know, you're thinking, "Oh, what's going on here? Is my hearing?" And then you start to be right. So let Him choose you. And He will use you. He will take you places. I didn't know I would be standing here today. He keeps making a way for me. And if He keeps making a way for me, He will make one for you.
So I just want to encourage you. It doesn't matter how you feel. And sometimes we get so sick. I've had pain till all you can do is groan. And I've always said, "There must be five, at least five people that you can call upon." There must be somebody that you can call and said, "Look, I'm not feeling myself today. Do you think you could just breathe a word of prayer?" We're human beings. We're flesh and blood. We get weary at times. But will your anchor hold in the storms of life when they're dashing and slaying and beating you up and down? Will your anchor hold?
Moses got too old to carry on with the work. He was 120 years old. And he said, "You know what? It's time for me to pass the button on." Is it time for you to pass the button to somebody? Know your strength. Know the God that you serve. Because He would truly deliver. I want to invite you to the altar. And we're only, every day is a new day. And I thank God that we were on the "Today" list. You don't know if you're on the "Tomorrow" list, but you're on the "Today" list. So every day is a different day, a different prayer.
So the parched places in Isaiah 50, they were fasting for a different reason. You know what you're fasting for? You know what you're praying for? Let it be of God. Don't let your reason be like them. Mary C. This is Women's Day. I was admired when I read her story. They called her a "junro." But her response was, "Yes, I come to clean up Jamaica." So, you know, she didn't get mad. She didn't cuss. She said, "Yes, me come to clean up Jamaica." That was her response. So I want to encourage you. Your mindset, women. Your mind has to be right. Lord have mercy. Your mind got to be right.
So what mindset do you have? Do you have a growth mindset or do you have a fixed mindset? A growth mindset: failure is an opportunity to grow. A fixed mindset: failure is the limit on my abilities. Do you have a fixed mindset? Don't let failure be a fixed mindset in your abilities. When you fail, have a mind that, you know what, I failed on that one. Let me research it again and see where I went wrong. It's an opportunity to grow.
Young women, start putting away your money. When I came here, I'm going to say something. Think now. When I first came to Mommy, Mommy put, gave me a video to watch. "No More Sheets" by Juanita Byron. I said to myself, "Why? Why? Why is she giving me this to work?" So me alone in the room watching that. That woman had me in tears. But there's one thing I learned off of that. I went home. I have bought my own property. I went home. I fixed. I buy towels. I put up soap. I started saving. Different mindset. Mommy's dangerous, you know. She doesn't say much, but she's dangerous. So she gave me this thing. And I'm in there watching this funny toar in. And "No More Sheets." I'm like, "My God." I went home and I changed my house. I buy what I need to buy. I didn't spend, you know, every hat, every dress. My mindset was different. I buy my nice towels. I bought my nice bed sheets. I buy. I had, as far as I concerned, I had enough shoes and clothes. No, I need to turn my home around. Do not mess with the mothers of Zion. Don't try and back them. Don't try and talk over them. I'm telling you now, she's armed and dangerous.
So to say this to say that, change your mindset on life. Because it's going to get harder for these little ones. Prepare the future for them. Start putting away a little $10 or a little $10 or a little because they have it harder than we do. University fees are through the roof. Books are through the roof. Clothes are through the roof. I was one of those when I used to go to church. You used to see the little mommies and z and they walk past. And they, nobody don't know how much it is. Nobody not see nothing. And you're scared to open your hand because you don't know what they put in your hand. And when you go outside and you look, he said, "Praise the Lord." And you go back to church. You want, you're looking for more in it. Because they're encouraging you. You know, you have some of them as a young lady, buy a little this and buy a little that. They start talking to you already. So please, when you get corrected, don't turn up your nose at them. Because they mean you well. They might be miserable, Sister Andre. We're coming from a long way. They might be miserable, but they mean well. They know. They can tell you that door is red. You know, don't go through it. But with your curiosity, you go, "See what in there." No, no. They told you, "Leave that door alone. Don't go through it."
So I want to invite you to the altar where we have men and women of God here. Can pray with you. And remember, I said, "Every day is a new day." And when you wake up and you see that on the "Today" list, give God thanks. Water your parch place first before you can bring water to anybody else. Learn some listening skills. Because some of us don't have listening skills. It's a skill, you know. It's a skill to listen. So learn some listening skills. Respect your pastors. Respect your pastors. For me to come here today, my pastor had to release me. So she released me to come today. Because we understand that we are not saved and put in uniform to warm the bench. We ought to go out and win souls. Take the message that Jesus saves, He keeps, and He's satisfied. We're the ones that have to be eating the hard food now. Sometimes we choke. But they give us water to drink. And we have to keep going. They're not giving me baby food anymore. Morning, giving me the hard food. Pastor is having the hard food.
So let's come to the altar. And I'm going to ask the praise and worship to help me sing, "Enter My Chamber, Be Free, Holy Spirit, Speak to Me Gently as I Close the Door." I don't want you to close the door on Jesus. But you want Him to come in and tell Him about your many, many problems. Or if you want to tell Him thank you. Anything you feel you need to tell the Lord. I want to invite you down. And I don't want you to leave the same way you came in. There must be a difference. Enter my chamber, be free, Holy Spirit, speak to me.
Is there anything that the Lord, you want the Lord to do for you? Is there any healing in your body that you need Him to touch? We just sang, "What a God." The altar, we should never be afraid of that. Because that's where we bring everything to Him. The songwriter said, "Cast your burdens on Jesus, for He cares for you." I know He loves me. And He loves you with an everlasting love. You were fearfully and wonderfully made. Every bone, every hair in your head, every organ in your body was thought about when He designed you. You are special for Him. You have possibility. You have purpose. Hallelujah. Thank you. You have purpose. You're on the "Today" list. That means there's something for you and I to do. Thank you, God. We are blessed more than we ever think.
So speak to God. Tell Him what's on your mind and in your heart. Tell Him what you need Him to fix, because you can't fix it. Tell Him what's frustrating you and hurting you and causing you to pull yourself away from Him. He wants you to be closer to the Cross. Closer. Draw me closer. It's a closeness time. Because the world is lost like any before. So you need a word from Him so you can tell them out there. Speak to Jesus. Let's start speaking to Jesus. Start speaking to Him. Speak to Him. What do you need? Hallelujah. Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Oh Lord, we come to You, God. Come in Your presence. Jesus, we need You. We need You. We need You. We need You, Lord. We need You. And the Lord through Light Brigade Bowen has just taught us some more how to witness, how to witness to those among us because there are those among us that need witnessing to and encouragement. And how to witness to those who don't know, who don't yet know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. And I was speaking to someone earlier on this morning and I was saying that even in the case of gays, homosexuals, you know what I'm talking about. And you know, prostitutes and the remedy, yes, transgender, the whole abbreviation. The remedy is love. The remedy is love for them. That's the reason why they get so defensive because they are always in that fight mode, want to defend their choice of lifestyle. And so it is the love of God in us, not our love, because our love is, yes, carnal. But the love of God in us, when they see the love of Jesus Christ in us, that is what's going to win them over. Nothing else. Not even so much words. Oh, it's the love of God in us.
So let us take heed to what the Lord has told us today that we can take water to the parched places. Some near places, some far places. The Lord, the Holy Spirit took Philip out of a revival and took him to, was it Gaza, to witness to one Ethiopian eunuch. And we don't know. I mean, Ethiopia actually is probably one of the only countries in Africa that was never colonized. And Christianity, I think it went to, went to Ethiopia among all the other countries. Over 50 countries in Africa. And I think Christianity started there among the countries in Africa. So the Lord knows what He's doing. And we just have to follow Him, His lead. And let, because I've said it many times, the Holy Spirit, He is the regulator. He is the administrator of this thing here, not us. And if you look in the book of Acts, that's what He did. He said, "Separate me Paul and Barnabas." He said, "Send this one here." He says, "Don't go here at this time." He is the one that runs this thing. So let us follow His lead. There's no star here. There's only one star, Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen.
So let us take heed to what the Lord has said to us. It's going to be a 10 Revival in July for one week, starting on the 21st. And by the way, God willing, Saturday the 6th, this next Saturday coming, we will be putting up the tent. So all the brothers and the sisters, you don't have to lift anything but just your presence. And the camaraderie is encouraging. So please be there Saturday, July 6th, 6:00 a.m. Try to work before the sun gets too hot. And just to put up that tent. And God willing, we can, as Brother Rick said, soften up the ground. That means we're going to, leading up to the Tent Revival, we can give our tracts. Can choose one or two hours, maybe on a Sunday or a Saturday. And we can give our tracts and witness. Because we're only there for one week. And we just want to show up and they see us for one week. And they hear the preaching. And then we're gone. And they don't see us again for another year. Amen. Amen.
So let us take heed to what the Lord is telling us. We thank God for Bishop Maxwell's classmates. Classmates. Amen. We thank God for them being. And yes, Bishop did surprise you.
