Hi, my name is Trina Olen. I am excited to help you overcome your fear of stepping out. It is not about being an evangelist; it's called doing the work of an evangelist, and we are all called to do that. We are all called to prophesy. We're all called to pray unceasingly. And I'm here to encourage you that God wants to use you mightily and powerfully, just like he has used me in the past. I am so excited. Words of knowledge can help you overcome that fear.
So I just want to share with you, um, Second Timothy 1:7 says, "For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid but gives us power, love, and self-discipline." Yes, you know, and it God has called us to do the work in evangelist. He said that we would all prophesy, and we're called to, um, continually pray unceasingly. Like it's for all of us. He said, um, Jesus gave us the Great Commission to go heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, and set at liberty the captives. He gave us the gift of the baptism of Holy Spirit to give us the power to walk out our Salvation to be fruitful. He says in John 15:16, Jesus says these words, "You did did not choose me, but I chose you to be fruitful and have lasting fruit. Then my father will answer everything that you ask in my name." Oh, that's a big four-letter word, then.
So I'm believing then as you step out and as you tear down that fear and you put it under your feet, watch God show up and show off. The way that I overcame fear was just by stepping out. And I get had to give five to seven testimonies a week in a Ministry School that I was attending. It didn't matter if it was epic fail or not. They wanted you to break off the spirit of fear, and they wanted you to step into your glorious call to see signs, wonders, miracles follow those who believe. Yes, you're called to believe, and if you're a believer, signs and wonders will follow you.
And so this is amazing. Like God has given me this understanding, and and I share this everywhere I go. We had a group of kids in Brazil, and they they all wanted to go out with me. And and so they know that I throw them out of the boat, and I'm gentle with most people. But I just I want to encourage people that when you really see the power of God use you mightily and powerfully, you're hooked. You are hooked because you want to see people encounter Jesus, and they will encounter Jesus. So I saw this group of kids, they were getting words of knowledge. They even knew who God was highlighting, but they were so afraid to step out. And I said, "Hey, got a question. So that lady across the street is the one that you have a word of knowledge for?" And I think it was like maybe a shoulder or something. I said, "So let me ask you, if if you had the shoulder problem, and that lady over there had the word of knowledge for your healing, wouldn't you want her to come over here and talk to you and pray for you?" And they're like, "Yes." And and so instantly, like whatever it was, broke off these kids, and they just ripped up that park. Um, you know, it was hard to gather them all up and take them back to to the teaching because they were having so much fun. Like these kids understood. We can understand.
I was in the refugee camp in Malawi. Um, there's like 60,000 people in this refugee camp. They have like two doctors, and they need to see God show up. It's a heavily Muslim area, but Christianity is moving mightily and powerfully through that area, and words of knowledge are just wrecking the paradigm. So we're walking through this area, and we've been teaching words of knowledge in the prophetic for a couple of days. And so we're taking these guys out to minister. And I realized that they're just following me. They're not really getting anything. They're not stepping out and praying, and you could tell that they're scared, and they're like a deer in the headlights. And so I said, "All right, all right, all right. This is I'm not the only one going to do this. I'm not going to be here very long, and I need to go away and I need to train you up to do this." So I said, "Everybody close your eyes." And I said, "What is is the first body part that God gives you?" And they were frustrated with me. They really were. And the ones like headaches, and one's like, "I don't know, back." And then the other one's like, "Maybe knee." And they were frustrated. You could tell frustration. I said, "Awesome. Like I just want you to just partner with me. Like just partner with God, and we're going to see people get healed."
And so we walk over to this water well where they have a whole bunch of people doing clothes and getting water for drinking. And my my translator steps out and he prays for the lady at the well, and her headache completely goes away. And it opened up a door for me to say, "Hey, would you like to meet the Jesus that just healed you?" And she's like, "He wouldn't want anything to do with me." And it opened the door for us to share about Rahab and a lot of other people in the Bible that were not worthy, but Jesus loved them anyway, and he showed them their value. And so it opened up a door for her to accept Jesus. She gets baptized in the Holy Spirit, she feels the presence of God. And I just happened to look, and I saw this lady, and I said, "Hey, do you have a lower back problem?" Through my translator. And she's like, "Yes, but you're not praying for me." There's another religion in the area that won't allow people to pray for people in public. And, uh, and so I said, "Hey, this lady here, who C can she pray for you?" And she didn't realized that she had just got saved, she uh, got healed, and she encountered Jesus. And she she actually left this lady pray for her. And she said, "Yes, she can pray for me." And so I I I had let this lady pray for her, and the lady's back get completely healed. And so it was very simple prayer. Mar we we empowered her really quick. We said, "It's really quick to pray. Just pray in Jesus' name, be healed." And this lady's back was radically healed. And so we we saw God just pour out at the well. We saw the book of Acts open up because we stepped out to pray for somebody, just because we had a thought like that. And they had they had no faith that it was from God, but God showed up anyway.
We're just encouraging you to just step out beyond your fear and thump the hell out of the enemy and love the hell out of the people. And so what if someone does say no? It's not going to be the end of the world, and it won't be the first time. And sometimes when people say no, it gives you an opportunity to learn how you're hearing and how you're not hearing. And sometimes when they say no, there's someone behind them saying yes. That's the person where sometimes they've accepted this issue so much, they don't even realize that it's really an issue until later. You know, we've heard so many stories where people have gotten healed later. You know, or hey, wait a minute, that was me. And and it's okay. You know, the biggest thing is when you come up to someone and they say no, just say, "Hey, I'm just practicing hearing God, and it wouldn't be right for me not to ask you if you had this issue. And if you had it, I believe God was going to heal you today. And it wouldn't be right for me to just pass by and not stop because I want to see people get healed. And it wouldn't be right for me to withhold your healing, right?" And most people say, "Yeah, that's right." So you realize that they come in agreement with they God speaks today, and that God wants to heal today, and that you love them enough to care to stop. And sometimes it leads into conversations to talk to him.
Like this is really awesome. The other day, um, I was on a hike and I stopped, and there was these two ladies. And the one lady has oxygen, so that's word of obvious. You know, I didn't need a word of knowledge to know that she was on oxygen and she has lung issues. So I asked her if I could pray for her, and she said yes. So it opened up a door for me to pray for her. I didn't have to lay hands on her. I can lay hands at a distance. That's no problem. God Is Bigger Than My Hands anyway. But the awesome thing is, it opened up a door for me to share my testimony of how God has healed me radically and how he's transformed my life and set me on a path that truly go all over the world to minister. And she's like, "Hey, can you come over and pray for me?" And she holds out her hands, and she wants prayer. Like not just a prayer for, you know, like it was and she was okay with that prayer prior to me talking about my testimony, but it opened up a door. Like just by stepping out and stepping beyond the fear, it opened up a door to pray for the lady's lungs, and it also opened up a door that in the in the process, I get a word of knowledge for the other lady that had a hip issue. And she actually looks at me and she says, "So did you do you see me walk funny?" And I said, "No, ma'am. I said, it's a word from God that won't return void. And I really believe that he's going to heal your hip today." And so I just walk in that. It's a word from God that won't return void. That's what I say, and I believe it, and I step in expectations. Even if I don't see it happen, I don't get discouraged because I give it all to God.
Um, Dr. Randy Clark has a book out. Um, it's amazing, and it's it says, "The Thrill of Victory and the Agony of Defeat." And so each one, whether we see exciting, amazing moments, we give it to God, or we see moments where we think that we know that we know that we heard God, but for some reason, they're not getting healed or set free, and we don't want to get discouraged. We don't want the enemy to have any room, so we give that to God too. So I just want encourage you to keep stepping out and overcoming that fear and finding ways to thump the hell out of the enemy and love the hell out of the people. And watch people come into the kingdom of God through words of knowledge and words of wisdom and the prophetic. They are just some tools that God wants to do through you to see people come into the kingdom of God. God bless you.
