All right. So, I want to dive into the wise behind the pre-tribulation rapture and why it makes most sense biblically. I'm going to lay out the details of the Bible and the verses, which I don't have enough time with 10 minutes, so I'm going to try to fly through this, but I have other videos that go into more detail as to why biblically it makes most sense all throughout scripture why pre-tribulation rapture is imminent and why it has to be pre-tribulation rapture.
So, number one is the imminence itself. So, the Bible makes it clear to us that the rapture could literally happen at any moment without warning. In 1 Thessalonians 5:2, it says that the rapture will come like a thief in the night. Okay? And then in Matthew 24:36, Jesus himself says that no one knows the day or the hour, not even the angels. So this urgency to stay ready only makes sense if the rapture happens before the tribulation. If it were to happen mid-tribulation or post-tribulation, we would have clear signs like the rise of the antichrist himself or the lawless one. We would have signs to look for which would take away the whole thief in the night concept or the thief in the night surprise. Right? Only the pre-tribulation rapture lines up with this biblical idea of unexpectedness. Okay, so that's number one. And there's a lot more like I said that I have that I can get into more detail later on, but just these are some of the main ones that I want you to hear.
Number two is Israel and the church. They are distinct. The distinction between Israel and the church is so the the tribulation is referred to as the time of Jacob's trouble. All right? And that's in Jeremiah 37. It's focused on Israel, not the church. Separate. Okay. In Daniel 9:24-27, it talks about the 70 weeks of prophecy concerning Israel. And that last week or the seven years is what we know as the tribulation. The church, us, has a separate role during that time. And that's why it makes sense that believers are raptured before the tribulation. The focus shifts back to Israel as God completes his plan for them during tribulation.
Number three, and probably the best argument out there as Paul talks about it, but again, it's all sprinkled throughout the Bible in the Old Testament and the New Testament, but the church is not appointed to wrath. So, let's talk about this one cuz this one is the most comforting promise for us believers. In 1 Thessalonians 5:9, it says that for God did not appoint us to suffer wrath, but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. The tribulation is a period where God's wrath is poured out on the earth. Okay? And that can be found from Revelation 6 all the way through Revelation 19. So, if believers are not appointed or destined for wrath, it makes sense that we're not here for them. We're not here. We're not part of that history. We're saved from that judgment. So that's why this is another reason why pre-tribulation rapture makes the most logical conclusion. It makes the most sense.
Number four is the book of Revelation. Just in general, the structure of it makes most sense for pre-trip. The structure itself literally points to pre-trip. In Revelation 4:1, John is called up to heaven with the words, "Come up here." And what's interesting is that after this point, the church literally isn't mentioned again until the tribulation events, which are Revelation 6 through 18, but the church is mentioned several times all the way up through chapter 4. The silence of the church during this time period makes sense that the church has already been raptured, which is why it isn't mentioned. Or not on earth during the tribulation. So that timeline in Revelation strongly supports the pre-tribulation view.
Number five, the restrainer is removed. No, the restrainer is not Michael. I hear that all the time, but you have to continue to read read the Bible holistically. There's a key detail in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8. It talks about the restrainer that is holding back the full revelation of the Antichrist or the lawless one. And once that restrainer is removed, the Antichrist will then be allowed to rise. The the Holy Spirit is who the restrainer is. That is what is holding back this tribulation to begin. So one, we're not going to know who the Antichrist is until we are gone or until we're gone. So stop trying to figure that out. But once the church is then raptured, the restraining influence is then lifted, which will then allow the tribulation to unfold. And that supports that the rapture has to happen before tribulation. In order for the Antichrist to rise, we must be gone.
Number six is the blessed hope. Titus 2:13 calls the rapture the blessed hope. And if you think about it, this hope gives believers comfort and assurance. And that is in 1 Thessalonians 4:18. It tells us to comfort one another with these words that is about the rapture. How comforting. Think about this. How comforting would it be if we knew we had to go through tribulation first? God is not a wife beater. He's not going to beat up his bride and then go have dinner, right? That's not how it works. There's not much of a hope if that's the case. But the pre-tribulation rapture, where believers are taken up before the wrath of God is poured out, is truly a blessed hope. That is our blessed hope. Jesus took it on the cross.
Number seven, biblical patterns show that God protects his people. And there's patterns all throughout the Bible. It's the same thing for the rapture. So throughout the Bible, he consistently removes his people before any type of major judgment. So if you think about Noah, God saved him and his family in the ark before the flood. Or if you think about Lot, he was taken out of Sodom before it was destroyed. All of these patterns show that God spares his people from wrath. And this fits perfectly with the pre-tribulation rapture view. Before the tribulation, which is God's judgment on a rebellious world, he will remove his church just as he had done in past events. God works in patterns and he cannot lie. What he says is what he does. He is just. He tells us from the beginning. You have to read the patterns of the Bible.
Number eight, Jesus promised to keep us from the hour of trial. In Revelation 3:10, Jesus tells the church in Philadelphia that he will keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world. Notice that he doesn't just say that he'll protect us during the hour of trial, but that he'll keep us from it entirely.
Number nine, the marriage supper of the lamb. We are the bride. Jesus is the groom. So let's talk about the timing. So Revelation 19:7-9 describes the marriage supper of the lamb that it takes place in heaven and that is before Jesus returns to earth with his church in Revelation 19:14. So think logically for this to happen, the church has to already be in heaven. It makes sense only if there is a pre-tribulation rapture, which allows time for the marriage supper to occur before Jesus' second coming. And again, we come back with Jesus in Revelation 19. How can we come back if we're still here on earth? Think about it logically.
Number 10, the difference between the rapture and the second coming. Two separate events. People always combine them. It drives me crazy. So, it's important to recognize that the rapture and the second coming of Christ are two separate events. In the rapture, Jesus comes for his church, as I mentioned before. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. But in the second coming, he comes with his church, as I just mentioned. That's Revelation 19:14. It's a two-stage return of Christ. And it only makes sense if the church, as I mentioned, is in heaven with him before the rapture or dur at right after the rapture and before the second coming, which again supports a pre-tribulation view.
Look, at the end of the day, if you put your trust in Jesus Christ and he is your Lord and Savior, it doesn't matter. But it's important to know that there is a biblical case for the pre-tribulation rapture. And we should be able to rest in the promises of the word of God. The imminence of the church is not being destined for wrath. And the patterns throughout the scripture all point to this. Remember, this is our blessed hope. And it's what we're called to look forward to. So again, stay ready, keep watching, look up because our time is drawing near. And you are loved. And remember, at the end of the day, all you have to do is put your trust in him. Turn away from your wicked ways. Put your trust in him and let Jesus take care of the rest because what he did already on the cross is sufficient enough. Amen. And Hallelujah. What a God we serve.
