I'm going to ask three questions, and that'll be the entirety of my talk. Three questions.
And I said these questions to everybody in the room. Cuz it was filled with, you know, academics, professors, but there's also a lot of Jews and Christians and Muslims, you know, all together. So I said, "How many of you here believe in Moses?" All the Muslims, Jews, and Christians, they raise their hand, right? So I said, "Okay." Said, "How many of you believe that Moses performed miracles in his lifetime?" Again, all the same people raise their hand. I said, "How many of you have witnessed with your own two eyes one of the miracles Moses performed in his lifetime?" Nobody can raise their hand. I said, "But you believe in it by faith."
I said, "How many of you believe in Jesus?" And the Muslims and Christians, they raise their hand. Said the same thing. How many of you believe he performed miracles in his lifetime? They all raise their hand. Said, "How many of you've witnessed one of the miracles he performed in his lifetime with your own two eyes?" Even the Muslims can't raise their hands. I said, "But we believe in it by faith, right?"
So I said, "Okay. How many of you believe in Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam?" Of course, all the Muslims raise their hands. Said, "How many of you believe he performed the miracles during his lifetime?" They raise their hands. I said, "How many of you have witnessed with your own two eyes one of the miracles that he performed during his lifetime?" And a few of the Muslims who understood what I was trying to say, they raised their hands, and I raised my hand.
And I held this up. I said, "Here it is." Said, "You want a proof of my faith? I can hand it to you. I don't need to prove it to you. You can prove it to yourself. I can hand this to you. This is the miracle of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam." I said it until you can disprove this book, and it has many challenges in it to disprove it. It tells you to try. It tells you to call everyone you wish to help you. But then it reminds you that when you fail, and you will fail, then fear the fire whose fuel is men and stones.
So this is the proof of my religion. And until you can discredit this book, I stand on what I said. And to me, this is one of the most beautiful things about Islam is that I don't need to spend 45 minutes to an hour to prove to you my faith. It's right here. You can take it home. You can read it. You can thumb through it. You can analyze it. You can dissect it. You can try your best to find fault and error in it. And you will come back, like Allah says, your vision and sight will come right back to you. You will not be able to do it.
This is the legacy of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. This is why we say Muhammad al-Rasul Allah in the present tense. He is the messenger of Allah. We don't say he was the messenger of Allah. Isa was the messenger of Allah. Musa was the messenger of Allah. The prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam, until the day of judgment, is the messenger of Allah. And I need nothing else to prove my faith other than this miraculous book that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sent.
