I've just been thinking so much. What separates profitable traders from unprofitable traders? What separates me from others? So, I was putting myself in the shoes of somebody else and looking at myself from their perspective, and from my own perspective. But I also was looking at other people because statistically, 90% of people who start trading, they give up. They lose money. Why? My question was, why? Why wasn't it that my case? Why is somebody else not profitable and I am profitable? And that's exactly what I want to talk about.
And the first point that got into my head, and the first point that I see what separates me from my students, from other people online that's not profitable, is I treat trading as a system, not a talent. I'm not talented. I'm no different from any of you that's watching the video. I am a regular guy. I came from 15 years old, moved away from my parents, went to another continent, chasing my basketball dream, dropping everything, hitting rock bottom, building myself up. I'm the exact same guy. No English, learned English, right? And I treat trading as a system. I'm not sitting down here to look at the charts and expect and hope to get lucky, to catch a win, to make money. No, I have built a repeatable, systematic process. And my job, my only job as a trader, is to execute that process. As simple as that. I find my bias, which direction I want to trade. I find my liquidity level, supply, demand, and I find my entry confirmation. Then I find my risk management, and then I find my trade management. Every single step from point A, me looking for a setup, to point Z, me managing and exiting the setup, every single little thing is a systematic process. And I was thinking, I'm teaching this systematic process to other people. Some of them are still not profitable. Why?
Another point comes in is experience. People go to schools, universities to get a degree for five, 10 years, some of them 15 years. I don't know. I think that's possible. 15 years to go and be a doctor, let's say, right? It takes time. Every skill that you want to learn, you want to master, you want to be great at, it takes time. So, a lot of people, some people that will have that system eventually give up because they will understand it's not an easy route. Sorry to say that. I'm going to be completely honest with you. Trading is not easy. Of course, it's worth it. It makes sense. Without trading, I wouldn't be anywhere close to where I'm at right now. Hopefully, I would have built a business or did something. But it takes time, just like anything else. People open businesses, they fail. People open restaurants, they fail. Nobody talks about that. But when you start trading and you fail, oh, trading, it didn't work out. Everywhere, everyone fails. It's part of the game. It's about how long you can stay in that process. How fast you can overcome your mistakes. Because what I say is, in trading or anywhere else in life, fail as many times as you can. Just don't fail at the same thing twice. Same way in trading. If you're overtrading all the time, you already know what you're doing wrong. You're overtrading. You're overrisking. You're blowing funded accounts. You're buying too big of a size of a funded account. You're spending too much money. You're wasting your time and your money. So, experience takes time.
And for me, experience, what experience means to me is knowing when to stay out of the markets and when to double down. Because I have such a systematic process approach to markets, I have done the same thing over and over and over, every single day for years. And because I have been doing the same thing every single day, you start to get that gut feeling. In other words, it's experience. When the system that you're doing every single day for years is outperforming the markets and when it's not. Bad market conditions, low volatility, all that stuff could be harmful for your system. But you will not know that if you don't do the same thing every single day. If you one day trade trend lines, the other day you trade ICT, SMC, all the strategies that are available to you, you will not build that experience. You will not build that confidence in your trading system.
Now, the third point that I want to talk about is again, what separates me from other people, which is a very obvious point, but it took me a very long time to understand. It's simply my trading balance. If I have an $800,000 trading account, I make 1%, I make $8,000, which is very decent money. I risk 1%, I make one, two, three risk-to-reward win, I make $24,000 on one win. Some guy with a $2,000 balance can make the same percentage, but he will not get the same return. So, after you build your system, after you build the experience with your system, now it's time to scale. Now it's time to build up your capital. If you want to get to the point where you live the life that you want from trading, it's a step-by-step process. Everything in my life is a step-by-step process. I want to systemize things in a way that they are consistent. And in 2026, now we have funding firms. We have all these prop firms, a selection of prop firms, different ways of trading, futures, forex, stocks to build that capital. So, instead of trying to get a $10,000 challenge, this as soon as you get funded, you go ahead and trade that account, you blow it, you're back at where you started. Why don't you get one funded account, pass it, get another funded account, fail it, you build experience, get another funded account, pass it. Stack those funded accounts until you have large capital. You can drop your risk and still make good money. And by dropping your risk, you're securing yourself from blowing that account. Now, you can maintain balance. You have experience built through taking, failing, and passing those funding challenges. You're ready by the time you have that big balance.
I am bored. That's the last point I want to make. I am bored. Trading is not exciting for me anymore. Trading is a job. The first two years, three years, four years maybe, I was trading. Trading was excitement for me. Every day I woke up, I looked at the charts. I was excited. I was excited to enter the position. I was excited to exit the position. I was excited to trade. And that's normal. You have to go through it. Again, experience. I'm trading almost 10 years now. 10 years from when I was introduced to trading. And I love trading, don't get me wrong. It's not like I don't enjoy trading. I'm just not excited about trading. For me, it's again, it's a systematic process. No adrenaline, no gambling, no emotional spikes. Do I feel sad when I lose? Yes. Do I feel happy when I win? Yes. Does that change anything? No, that doesn't change anything.
"Oh, hey Davi. How do you deal with losing streaks?" I don't deal with them. All I have to do is continue doing what I was doing. I have my system. I have backtested it for many, many trades. I have built the confidence in my trading system. I forward tested for years. I know it's working. Why would I do anything different? So, I'm just going to continue doing what I'm doing. So, that's how you deal with your emotions is by building confidence into what you do, stamping that confidence with forward testing results, by building experience. And here you are. You're emotionless. Again, I'm not saying emotionless when I'm saying sad or, you know, happy. It's more like you don't change anything. You're just here to execute. That's the way I feel.
So, what I want you to take out of this video is trading is not easy. It will take time to master it, but it's absolutely worth it. Take your time with building experience, building your trading system, and building your capital. These are three pillars you need to focus on, and everything will follow. Take your time. Don't go and spend crazy amounts of money on insane challenges and then waste your money. Try trading for one month and then quit. Take your time. Take it as taking a university course, but much more valuable, I would say. And that's how you will get there. That's what took me to get to the point where I'm at, using everything, looking at everything as a step-by-step process and executing. Thank you guys.
By the way, if you want to learn from me, I also have built an AI dashboard that scans all the fundamentals in the world, and AI will give you summaries of what's happening in the fundamentals. Now, I call myself a hybrid trader because I also use fundamentals on top of my technical analysis to trade. So, that's what hybrid trading is. If you want to learn from me, if you want to watch me trade live every single day, if you want to get access to the dashboard and indicators that we built and an incredible community, click the link in the description of this video, and I'll talk to you.
