Hello everyone β™₯️ I have to rush since we'll get the keys today for our new homeπŸ”‘ I tried to empty the freezer and I found these banana pancakes so breakfast is sorted. And on the side, banana yogurt to make me feel full for longer. With a sprinkle of frozen berries, it's done.

Todays tasks: take the keys, wait for the internet guy and wait for the bed to arrive. It's now 10:00 in the morning and we have to go in 20 minutes. My heart is racing and I can't believe it, I'm over the moon. Finished my breakfast in minutes, so I can quickly get ready.

Here we are at our new apartment, Mr. P is talking to a handyman while I look around ..?? Brain lag haha. So the story of how we ended up in this house is completely karmic. Mr. P and I have been looking for an apartment since last August and now it's June, so it's been 10 months. The strange thing was that we had already found a place, as I've shown you in another video. But at the last moment, Mr. P's aunt called us telling us her home was back on the rental market. So we came to take a look and as soon as we saw it, we were ecstatic. What I like about this home is how quiet it is.

We are waiting for our bed to arrive in the afternoon. The rest of our furniture will be here on Monday *Happy dance*. The internet is finally installed, but it took way more time than we thought. Taraan, this is the new kitchen. I really like this cupboard for groceries. It's pretty big. I think I need a stepping stool to reach the top and it also has the best thing that I can't wait to use. Finally, I have a dishwasher, yes yes yes. The kitchen is beside the living room. And it also has this gorgeous fireplace. It's not functional but it's so beautiful. I just want to look at it all the time. And this is where the TV will go. This is where our dinner table and couch will go. I really like the layout of this room.

Our bed arrived and thankfully, they set it up for us. We actually had bought it for the previous place we were about to go. But it fits in here perfectly too. We got a bed with hidden storage at the bottom since we thought we might need it. Hehehe best birthday gifts ever! It's a quarter to six in the afternoon and we still haven't had lunch. When we came home, my mother-in-law waited for us loaded with presents. Mr. P's aunt gifted us those beautiful vases (not the one with the house, another aunt). These go so well with the dining table we have ordered!! They could easily sell them together at the store, it's that level of accuracy. And my in-laws got us a beautiful set of bedding. I would have gotten the exact same pair if it were me. We got souvlaki for dinner since we were famished, then I passed out coldπŸ’€.

Next Day. Mr. P and I took on the task of mounting the TV on the wall. I'm so afraid I'll drop it but I have to be strong. Why is it so heavy though? The moment I've been waiting for is finally here! For years I imagined Mr. P and I sitting on the floor watching TV while moving. Such a simple moment, filling my heart with happiness. Then my mum and mother in law helped me clean the house well. The fridge was so tricky, it took me all day. I'm so glad I got their help. Our friend came by to add silicone in the kitchen cracks. It's the best thing having friends you can rely on. It was good before but we needed it to be perfect. Mr. P's uncle gifted us this icon for our own place. There was some mildew leftover from the last tenants. So our friend helped us with this task too. Such precise work is done. Why do I feel tired just watching? 🫩

A celebratory beer wishing for good luck on our move. Our dining table is coming as is the couch. This is our coffee table. The color looks pretty *Internally screaming excitedly*. I'm a little nervous to see if they are sized correctly for the space. I think we got our couch and dining table a little larger. We had seen the space once and then some work had been done in the house. So we couldn't measure exactly how we wanted the furniture. We got our furniture custom-made by a Greek brand. This is a part of the couch all bubbled up. Everything fits perfectly after all. The dining table looks beautiful! Our couch has a mechanism that reclines so you can watch movies comfortably. This sofa is a homebody's lifelong dream. I've been waiting for so long to have my own sofa. Am I dreaming? Hehe.

This is the reality of buying stuff before moving... No, this isn't a dumping ground... Mr. P and I will now have to move all these boxes.. my poor arms... The boxes have quickly got out of hand. My previous house is my in laws home. So we came by to grab a quick lunch (it's 5 minutes away from the new house). I'll miss Little Lady begging for food anytime she sees me. But since that is the house of my in-laws, I'll see her frequently and she'll be well-fed and happy in her home. That's a fig variety that starts very early (Our own varieties start early August). I humbly say, ours taste better hihi. My mother-in-law is cooking us chicken and it smells divine. Such a delicious summer meal. I feel as drowsy as my little kitty does.. sleep for me too little one...

We have to go and assemble some furniture now. I've ordered only the essentials for our place and I'll start getting more as I see fit. But one thing I really wanted was a bench to sit on while taking off my shoes. The process looks pretty simple. In the package, there were all the things we needed. Mr. P did half of the bench and I'll do the rest. I love making things like this, I could assemble furniture all day hehe. But really, why is this so calming guys? I know a few people get angry while assembling but I just enjoy it. I'll add some leg pads so it won't scratch the floor. Let's see how it fits. Hehe it's perfect, we can even sit down, both of us!

I had bought a lot of kitchen stuff during Black Friday and I just kept them in boxes so I could move them easily. After six months, I hardly remember what I've gotten haha. It's all a gift from past me at this point. Unboxing everything with care and anticipation. Oh, a jam jar, nice. I've also gotten a set of plates, but later found out that all the big ones were broken 😭. I'll leave this kitchen chaos for tomorrow.. too tired now...

We slept for the first time in here and I feel suspiciously rested. I'm ready to continue my unboxing marathon. How cute?! I've come to realize I have a soft spot for mini plates. Like, how can you resist them? I'll unpack as many utensils as I can, since I want to start cooking in here soon. Got this jar on a summer vacation and it's handmade. Coincidentally, the whole yard in this home is filled with lavender! I'll wash everything that doesn't fit in the dishwasher by hand. Lastly, I'll wash the new pots I got. First I filled them with water and I'll cut a few lemons. Add a little bit of lemon juice into the pots and let the water boil. Rinse and wash with soap and they're ready to use.

We're going to IKEA to get a few things for organizing the kitchen. I'll also look for a new desk. Packing up a bag too to bring with me. A new fit check spot, I like it hehe. The yard smells of lavender and thyme. The days are getting warmer and warmer lately. We arrived at IKEA. My main goal is to get as many kitchen storage items as I can. I have a lot of cupboards but they're all very deep. So this makes it inconvenient to find stuff. This couch looks so stylish. I want to get a new desk since I want to begin sewing again. This is such a good price (60€) but Mr. P tells me it won't be stable. But it even has space for my sewing machine?! Going into the kitchen aisle and I immediately pretend I'm in a cooking show haha. I like the style of these kitchen utensils. I'm not sure where I'll use this cardboard insert but I'll get it. Getting different sizes just to make sure I have what I need. I already have a disaster of a drawer, so this is so helpful. A drawer mat at a very cheap price. This container has a lid, perfect to pour rice with. My dream of having a mandoline is fulfilled 😌. Kitchen scissors. A new product that made me gasp! I need some homemade ice cream! This will look so nice in my kitchen. Oh I really like both of these.. but maybe one of them is too tall... I think this fits utensils better, but I prefer this detail. This reminds me of summer nights, eating fries. Wooden rack for plates. I like this huge chopping board. I look at 99% for kitchen and storage things. I need a lot of decor now. But I first have to get all the essentials hehe. Walking around like I'm on a mission. A basket with a handle. Come with me. Such cute lamps both. A cart full of things. I'm feeling famished now so we'll get a hot dog. When I am this hungry, only carbs can save me. I haven't properly cooked for many days and I can't believe how much I miss it. Got an ice cream to cool down.

We got so many things from IKEA. We got six plates since the ones I ordered came back broken. So if we want to invite anyone, we're covered. I thought that these will be good to store potatoes, onions, etc. I got the cardboard inserts. The house felt a little empty and unorganized. But I think getting all these will fix the issues. I love this for storing rice. This was a last-minute purchase. I found it in the discounted section and couldn't say no. I got a lot of mini things like this garlic press, the egg slicer. And I thought I can stick this on the tiles and maybe hang some spoons. I really can't resist buying mini convenient things. I always wanted to get something like this, for when I bake cookies or make bread where you pull out the legs and the air flows from below. I had this cutting board for many years in my old home, so now it's time I get a new one. And I found this new product at IKEA that's for making ice cream. I can't wait to make something new. For extra organization in the drawers. I want to organize my spoons and wooden utensils. This is to line a drawer. And finally, wine glasses and drawer organization, maybe I'll use them for socks. I also got this sofa throw to see if I can cover the couch. I think it will be good, the fabric is so nice.

Mr. P will handle some tiny quirks like this bathroom cabinet door that isn't aligned. It's also very tight when it's closed. I think that now is perfect but Mr. P isn't satisfied until he reaches perfection. A little more fiddling around, let's check. Wow this is so smooth! It's perfectly straight! I really did think this was made like this, but Mr. P fixed it. A newcomer DIYer on the loose hehe. Next stop is replacing the entire lock. The previous lock didn't have a key, so Mr. P removed it and we bought the exact same from the store. Fit check and it's perfection! It's the door to our bedroom, so it's nice to feel a little bit protected in here. Yes, it's just perfect. It's so fun having your own place and slowly fixing it to your liking. And I also love doing little tasks like this with Mr. P. We like working together (we do actually work together since we're fig farmers). So it feels natural to sit with each other and fix problems. But now time to see if the lock works. Hehe this is so good! Who knew I would get all excited about a door? Apparently, being 31 does that for you haha. Mr. P is humble, but he did this perfectly. He also made it look easy enough. Afterwards we had two technicians look at the fridge since it's a little loud.

It's the next day and I'm ready to tackle the organizing part πŸ’ͺ. These are soft pads that keep the cabinet doors from slamming shut. Why is peeling the stickers so calming? Can I get this sound into my ringtone haha? I ordered a few things on Temu too for organizing. These clips are just too cute. It's for closing an open packet of chips or something similar. I have kind of Marie Kondo'd the whole house. I'm only getting things that spark joy for me. I just want to create a cool and happy vibe, this is my only concern. Assembling this container somehow gives me so much confidence. I'll slowly turn into an old man, with his hands behind his back, judging constructions. This finishes so quickly. This is the state of the inside of my under-sink cabinet. I want to firstly have the trash bags ready to go without having to reach for them. It was the first thing I really wanted to get. I want to make chores into something fun. So if I'm feeling happier, I'll want to do it without pushing myself hard. Measuring the width of my trash bags first. I ended up changing the double-sided tape, since it didn't end up holding. This is exactly what I envisioned. Works fine with the trash can too. On the opposite side, I'll do a door "pocket". Snap it in and it doesn't go anywhere. I have so many cleaning products from disinfecting the house. We cleaned everything top to bottom really well. I thought a little bit and I decided on doing 2 door pockets actually. The dish soap and gloves will go into one. Plastic bags and dishwasher pods will go into the other. And this is the final result. So happy with the outcome. La la laa. I'll put away the onions and garlic now. I usually keep them out, but I'll put them in a cupboard since I don't want the house smelling like onions. Stay here you little flavor bombs. I already feel lighter in my mood from organizing.

We went to the supermarket and stocked up on groceries. And we were like two kids living their childhood dreams of buying junk food. Ok it wasn't that bad but still haha there were no veggies in sight (Peak physique before summer dream - flew out the window). I'm putting all the sugary stuff together in one place. And to think these are only the must-have things at home (sugar, chocolate chips, powdered sugar). Then goes the flour, yeast, and baking powder. It was so chaotic before, just jars piled up together (You can take a peek at what it looked like from the unorganized top). Calmness has entered my heart. Bottom part: home cook essentials. Middle part: bread, chips, and sauces. Please fit in nicely. I'll add a few crunchy stuff too. *Using any excuse to use my new clips*. Ehehe. I somehow have ended up with two packets of basmati rice. And I truly hate an opened packet of rice. That when you try to grab something it spills everywhere. I'll write the type of rice and the date of expiration too (It won't last that long, but I like to be fancy like that). (Pretend you don't see the smudge).

Next on my to-do list is the disastrous drawer. If you think I just dumped all my kitchen utensils you're wrong.. I tried to put them neatly... On the bottom, I'll add this drawer cover. It will keep any fallen crumbs of food and it will feel sturdier. So easy to cut with scissors. The moment I've been waiting for, this will keep everything nice and tidy. *Will it tidy up my life too?* It's so nice, as each section is a slightly different size than the rest. I realized I have so many utensils, but still I'm missing some... It looks slightly better I think haha, still a little bit much. I've always dreamed of the kitchen shelf inserts. They just look so handy, you can clearly see and get everything. Mr. P brought me the screwdriver and I'm ready to assemble this. This will look so nice in the cupboard. Make some room by removing the tiny bowls ? All this work for nothing... ...Moving on... I have this cabinet organization, you can put pans and lids to keep them separate. But this didn't fit too.. (the power of measuring is greater than I thought). So I'll use it for all the different pasta shapes I have. Yes, this looks perfect. Slowly everything comes into place. I originally planned on getting this for the cabinets. But after leaving it on the counter, I liked how it looked. So this will now display my cute plates.

Next on my list is the bedroom closet. The doors slam shut really loudly. So I'm using these cabinet door pads. To try and make them quieter. I'll put as many as I can since I hate sudden loud noises. I think it's a bit better? This cabinet under the bathroom sink is a little loud too. I also got this glass door insert, it even has a soft pad so it won't ruin anything. Maybe a little tall for me, but for Mr. P it will be perfect... It slowly starts to feel like my home now that I make these changes. I like to keep everything tucked away and the space to feel clean and clutter-free. I get overstimulated when I see a lot of stuff. And I would prefer if my mind was busy on other things haha. I would like to make my own wood surface cleaning spray. Do any of you have a recipe? I feel like I'm slowly losing steam, so I'll finish off with a broom holder. I hate to see the broom fallen so this will keep it tidy. I'll join Mr. P watching the World Cup. I can't wait to enjoy the home tomorrow.

Good morning my cherryos!! After so many days of eating out, or in my in-laws' home. I have the time and clean space to cook too. The first thing I wanted to get for our house was a rice cooker. I had two failed orders and then a final good one. I had somewhat mastered making rice at home, but still it's a bit of a hassle. So this was a gift from me, to me (and only 40€). For our first meal in the new home, I'll make a recipe from my mother-in-law. It's a very easy and comforting dish, exactly what I aim for. Cut up an orange pepper and a sweet pointed pepper. Cut them into long strips so they'll hold their shape. I miss my old kitchen but this new one makes me feel refreshed. Everything is new to me now, the utensils, the burners, everything. This garlic clove is huge, I'll cut half of it thinly and the rest of it I'll leave whole. You can use a large carrot or two medium ones. I want to cut them into matchsticks but round works fine too. I just want all the veggies to have the same shape. Mr. P and I love eating chicken, so I couldn't start with anything else. This dish is creamy chicken with veggies and the sauce is made with Philadelphia cheese. I'll cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. Chicken thighs would be good too. I'm stir-frying half the chicken in olive oil. Make sure they won't stick to each other. And flip them over after 5 minutes. I'll do the same to the rest of the chicken. Next up, I'll continue with the veggies. I'll cook them just until they're translucent. Add the chicken back in and then all the flavorings. Add salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, oregano, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp mustard and the juice from 1.5 lemons. It doesn't have a lemony flavor, it just creates a nice balance. I'll add 1 tbsp of paprika paste that a subscriber gave me. Mix it well and let it cook for 40 minutes or until the chicken is done (I still don't have a kettle...). After 40 minutes, my dish is almost done, I'll add 100g of Philadelphia cheese. And I'll let it cook for another 5 minutes. This thickens up the sauce nicely. You can skip this step, but it makes the dish extra creamy. I'll add 1 tsp of corn flour diluted with cold water. Pour it in and let it thicken for another 2-3 minutes. This smells amazing right now! I've gotten chives and they'll do a nice presentation. They have a slight green onion flavor but more mellow. My rice is done and my heart is fluttering. This was just so easy, thank you, me. I cooked for four but we're only two haha. I don't mind a few leftovers though hehe. Filling up the plate. I'm so happy to have some food I made and not take out. These are dried chili strips and I don't think they're spicy. I need to document this dish, it will always have a special meaning from now on. Let's goo. A rare sight, me doing only one dish haha.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: Wow, this looks like restaurant level.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: So beautiful.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: Let's make a toast.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: We would drink wine, but we don't have a bottle opener yet.

Cheers!πŸ₯‚

πŸ‘©πŸΌ:I wish we're always happy and have a great time in our new home.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: I wish it's full of joy and to create new memories.

I have lots of expectations for the first real dish we'll eat.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: Wow, first of all how great is the rice made like this?

Here it is, Mr. P's happy fork dance, it's officially a success.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: It's so delicious.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: I wish it's always like this.

πŸ‘©πŸΌ:Is it a nice start?

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: Yes.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: Wow, if it starts like this...

πŸ‘©πŸΌ:It's strange, because the kitchen is new to me as are the utensils.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: You've made it perfectly even like this.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: This doesn't have heavy cream? I can't believe it. The chicken is so tender and soft.

πŸ‘©πŸΌ:Have you gotten used to the new house?

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: I'm slowly getting used to it.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: What about you?

πŸ‘©πŸΌ:I too think that as the days go by I'm easing into it.

πŸ‘©πŸΌ:At first I thought we were on vacation.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: I thought we were in a really nice hotel.

πŸ‘©πŸΌ:I love the rice in the rice cooker.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: It's so nice eating at our dining table.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: How do you feel about it?

πŸ‘©πŸΌ:We're far from each other.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: I can't wait till we cook something together.

πŸ‘©πŸΌ:In this kitchen, it would be so fun.

My heart feels so warm after all this time of searching.

πŸ‘©πŸΌ:This dish helped me realize that this is our home.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: Now that we had our first proper meal here.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: This place became more familiar.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: I think you'll make beautiful things in this home.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: Where you'll have your own space and your comfort.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: And everything will be delicious, I'm sure of it.

πŸ§‘πŸ»β€πŸ¦±: Actually, this is the one thing I'm sure of.

Thank you all for watching see you in the next one β™₯️β™₯️
