Folks, yesterday on my video, which was about the meeting between Putin and Trump in Alaska, I received some personal messages, and they contained questions like, why is everything so negative? Isn't it great that Russia and America are finally sitting down at a table? This has never happened in this form before. Yes, that's right. But I have two questions for you. First question: What exactly was the goal of the meeting? between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska. Second, who has this meeting actually really benefited? And now I'll tell you my opinion, and that doesn't mean you have to share this opinion. You can of course form your own opinion. That's quite clear. So let's get to the first question. What was the goal of the meeting? The goal of the meeting, as Trump himself said, was an end to the war in Ukraine. Was this goal achieved? A clear no. Now, of course, some might say, yes, but at a meeting, you won't immediately achieve the end of a war. Folks, remember, Trump said he had spoken to Putin on the phone hundreds of times before. This topic was discussed, and the meeting was supposed to round it all off, so to speak, visually. In reality, Trump came away from this meeting empty-handed and now says after the meeting: "The war could be ended immediately. But the ball is now in the Ukrainians' court. To be precise, the ball has always been in the Ukrainians' court. The only question is, on what terms can this war be ended?" And Putin has already clearly defined that. I want the Donbas and perhaps a little more beyond that. And if I get what I want, then the weapons can fall silent. But is that really a viable path? Yes, sure, right? That's the last straw you grasp for when nothing else works and you're completely down and out. But now imagine the following situation. Someone comes to your house. Knock, knock. Good day, I find your house really great. I would like to have it, and immediately. What would you do now? Would you say, no problem, here's the key. Thank you very much. Goodbye. I'll just grab my toothbrush, then I'm gone. Or would you defend your house? Of course, you would defend it. So, the question doesn't even arise. And then this person comes later and says, "You know, if you want peace from me, yes, and I shouldn't take your car too, then just give me your house now and shut up." What do you do then? No problem, have a nice life, or what? I know this is all expressed very crudely, but I'm really trying to make it clear how I see things. Normally, Ukraine can't just say, okay, keep the Donbas. Apart from the fact that they would completely lose face, what happens then? Will Putin be satisfied with that, or just a short ceasefire for a few years, until he has accumulated enough again to perhaps take a little more? Can that really be right? What does it mean then, when one says the ball is now in the Ukrainians' court? That means giving up, capitulating, leaving the Russians what they have taken so far. You can consider for yourself how you would deal with such a situation. I for myself know what I would do. The second question is, who has this meeting actually really benefited? The Americans certainly not, because they come away empty-handed. But who it has really benefited is Putin. And what does he get out of it? Pictures, videos, quotes. You can't get more for this propaganda that he's running in Russia, on state television. A handshake with the president on the red carpet. A president who somehow receives him with applause, folks. And that's exactly what happened after the meeting. These images, where Putin was always portrayed in a positive light, a backstage video was leaked and spread that same evening on Russian state television. Putin is great, and even the Americans are bowing their knee. That's what this video looks like. I've seen excerpts of it. I can't show it here for copyright reasons. You should google it yourself. That is ultimately Putin's spoils. Propaganda. And to be precise, he can continue as before for now. Because even those who have doubts in Russia, whether everything Putin is doing is right, at least quietly, you can't say it out loud. Even there, the voices are now such that they say, well, even the Americans are behind Putin, more or less. Putin has announced harsh consequences if the war does not end after this meeting.
