Stay Away from these Women as a Christian Man

Goded8:39

Transcription

Scripture has named the types of women that destroy a man's calling. There are women a Christian man must never settle for, no matter how pleasing her face is to your eyes. This is wisdom written before you were born by the one who sees the end from the beginning. If you ignore these warnings, you are not simply choosing the wrong person. You are volunteering for a harder life than God ever intended.

The first one the Bible warns men about is the promiscuous woman. Proverbs chapter 7 says she catches him with her flattering lips. With much seductive speech, she persuades him. Biblically, this woman isn't just flawed. She's operating with a crooked internal compass. If a woman fundamentally believes there is nothing wrong with enticing lust in men, that is proof of deep moral distortion.

This kind of woman plans her appearance with intent, adjusts tone, posture, and her timing. Studies what provokes attention, uses sexuality as leverage. At her core, this woman seeks power through desirability, validation through conquest, identity through male attention, especially men that are taken. For her, it's not about mere confidence. It's hunger mixed with envy. Her appearance imitates femininity, but it's hollow because it's devoid of all the virtues that makes femininity honorable and virtuous. To her, other women are competition, not sisters, and men sources of validation. Her fruit is always the same, broken trust, shattered homes, and spiritual decay. She may not be worshipping the devil, but she is advancing his aims, for she's deceived and hardened. A woman like this cannot build a home. She only seeks to destroy them.

Then there is the contentious woman. This one appears constantly in Proverbs. That alone should tell you something. There's a pattern about this woman, and it's that she never chooses compromise. The thing with contentious women is not the argument in itself. It's the fact that she cannot rest in harmony. She's the spirit of constant opposition, always at odds, quarrelsome, a woman who always has to push back. Don't fool yourself that you have to fix her. A contentious woman sways away from feminine virtue of possessing gentle discernment. She speaks truth without tenderness, clings to arguments without discernment, refuses to let go without humility. There are many women who argue, but the difference between them and her is the refusal to submit to wisdom. That's why God says it's better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a contentious woman. And though she cannot override your responsibility before God, her negativity will make your home a miserable dwelling, so she can make leadership more difficult and increase temptation towards sinful reactions for you.

The next one is the woman who despises authority. To this woman, submission is humiliation rather than alignment. Biblically, this woman doesn't just resist leadership, she resists the idea of submission itself. It's the root sin that Lucifer committed. The thing is, she cannot distinguish between corrupt human authority from divinely ordered authority. So, to her, submission means erasing identity, silencing discernment, enabling abuse, and equaling to inferiority. That belief system is not biblical. It's cultural conditioning, but her mind cannot think beyond this deception. Her hyper-independence is the rebellion of spirit that the world validates. Scripture lays out a hierarchy to reflect heaven. God, Christ, man, woman, and then children. 1 Corinthians chapter 11 verse 3 says, "Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of the woman, and God is the head of Christ." And this woman doesn't know that submission is not a female concept. It's a divine one. Even Christ submitted to the will of his father. Then what kind of pride makes us think we shouldn't?

Then scripture continues to warn about a woman with an undisciplined tongue. Words shape reality in the Bible. Creation began with speech. The gospel is called the word. Faith comes by hearing. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. So, a woman who gossips, exposes private matters, speaks impulsively, is not merely annoying. It is spiritually dangerous to her husband. A covenant requires trust, and trust cannot survive where words are careless. A man is entrusted with leadership decisions, but when his own wife broadcasts his failures, exposes his struggles, best believe he will have to face other people's interpretation of his struggle, failures, and weakness. So, because of her undisciplined tongue, she cannot be trusted. You have to understand that a home is not built merely on love like it's believed to be. It is built on containment of many things, containment of struggles, failures, sensitive matters. Jesus said, "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." That would mean her speech is a reflection of her soul. So, when her tongue is impulsive, it shows her emotions are ungoverned. Her self-control is weak. Do not overlook this. Regard what gravity the tongue holds.

The last woman a Christian man must never bind himself to is the one who slowly turns his heart away from his Lord. This woman is not always the outspoken non-believer or the one who's hostile to God. You can guard yourself against them easily, but the greater danger is the woman who claims no opposition, yet carries no hunger. She will respect your faith. She just won't share your conviction. She will sit beside you in church, but she will not lead your home toward Christ. She will have no problem when you pray, but she will not initiate it or pray over your family. A Christian marriage is not one believer dragging another forward. It is two people walking in the same direction.

Look at King Solomon, the man who's quoted as the wisest man alive, chosen by God. Study how his heart gradually turned. It was not because of war, famine, force, or betrayal, but because he let proximity to wrong women reshape his loyalty. Scripture says his wives turned his heart after other gods in 1 Kings. So, be mindful of the contentious women. Be mindful of the promiscuous one and the one with an undisciplined tongue. But be extra mindful of the subtle ones that rarely radical like a woman following a false god. When attachment to a person overrides obedience to God, it becomes idolatry. And idolatry is not only bowing to statues, it's placing someone above God in emotional authority. When Jesus said, "Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me." It meant even your parents cannot outrank devotion to God. So, certainly romantic attachment must not. A romantic bond is one of the most powerful human attachments. So, if that attachment is not anchored in shared devotion to God, it becomes a competing throne. And the heart cannot serve two masters. Ask yourself, where is this union pulling the soul? Closer or further from your father? No man falls faster than when desire outruns wisdom. Strong men do not collapse through force. They collapse through compromise.
