We're so very glad to have as our speaker tonight a man of God. He is the, you know, I, I bragged on my friend Mike. He's just one of the greatest orators you'll ever want to meet. And this is one of the greatest revelatory, if that's a word. If not, Mike will straighten me out later. But, but this is a man that, that gives us the greatest revelation of truth. And if you're not careful, you let his preaching entertain you. And that frustrates Jeff. He don't want to entertain you. He's a man of God. By the tape, if you want to get all of his notes and use all of his stuff, buy the tape. He don't mind that. But he wants you to preach with him.
[Music]
Tonight, but Jeff, there's been something special done. A preacher knows that you love swords, and he went and had you a sword made. Isn't that nice? Wow. And on this man, that thing's sharp. I'm gonna get my hand off of that thing. And on this board, you started preaching here in 1983. Is every sermon written down in the year that you preached it at? Because of the times.
[Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
So we haven't, you know, I don't want to start naming them all because we don't have time. You got to preach. But I can't wait to see what 204 is going to say. So get yourself up there and tell us what it is.
[Applause]
Brother Doug Klein Den did this for him. Give Doug a [Music] [Applause] [Music] hand. And praise the Lord, everybody. Praise the Lord. Is there anything [Applause] [Music] left? Uh, we've gone about as high as I've ever seen us go, uh, repeatedly. And our emotions are expanded. The horizons of our minds have been expanded. And, and, uh, we just, I just got a few little things I want to say, okay? And, uh, I would have just enjoyed going home, uh, after today and wonderful visitation through Brother Dean's passion and hunger, and then again, Brother Subber. And, uh, but I'm supposed to talk. Yeah. So I'm not going to preach, uh, real long. And I'm not going to try to ring the bell. Uh, I'm just going to tell you what I think the Lord told me to say, and then I'm going to go home. Anyway. Yeah. I, I got my sword. Where's yours? I'd like to direct your attention to two portions of scripture. First found in the prophet Ezekiel 47, and the other one found in Zechariah, Chapter 2. I still am firmly convinced in the next few moments, God would like to demonstrate. I think he would. And give you some visible miracles rather than all the invisible stuff. Because the nice thing about invisible stuff, you ain't got to prove it. We'll just wait and see if you die. And I would like to tell you one other thing as we start. That God dealt with me about a few weeks ago. Said, "You better tell my people, I don't care how much faith they have and how many gifts they have. If they keep violating the laws of health and rest, they'll die with all their faith." Now, that didn't go over very [Applause] well. God is not honored by you having [Applause] ulcers, by having a nervous breakdown and physical fatigue. You're not a good billboard for God. Remember, one of the greatest prophets God ever had was Elijah. And when he got run out of town by that chick, he was talking about, if you look at your Bible, he sat under the juniper tree. And God didn't heal him. He said, "What this guy needs is a good meal and a little bit of [Applause] rest." Well, okay. I'm just going to talk a few minutes and go home. Okay. Ezekiel 47. When you got it, say, "We got it." Got it. "Afterward, he brought me again unto the door of the house, and behold, the waters issued out from under the threshold of the house, eastward. From the forefront, the house stood toward East, toward the East. And the waters came down from under the right side of the house, and the south side of the altar." Uh, let me skip that. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It ran out. Blah, blah. Okay. I want to get to verse three. "And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits. And he brought me through the waters, and the waters were to the ankles. Again, he measured a thousand, and he brought me through the waters, and the waters were to the knees. Again, he measured a thousand, and he brought me through the waters, and they were to the loins. Afterward, he measured a thousand, and it was a river that I could not pass over, for the waters were risen waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over." And he said unto me, "Son of man, hast thou seen this?" Then he brought me and caused me to return to the brink of the river. And, uh, and I'm going to just leave that because that's my Sunday punch. In the next few minutes, I want to go to Zechariah, Chapter 3, Chapter 2. Zechariah. Turn right, you won't get left. Got it. Chapter 2, verse 1. "I lifted up mine eyes again and looked, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand. Then said I, with a, go, knowest thou? And he said unto me, to measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof. And behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him and said unto him, Now here's two angels talking to each other, saying, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, for the multitude of men and the cattle therein. For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her." Okay. Yes. What is it? 9:05. Okay. Ready? Here's what I want to talk to you about. Okay. When you stop measuring everything, the miracle will [Applause] start. Apparently, you didn't hear me over here in the chief seats. Let me try it again. When, when you stop measuring everything, the miracles will start. Bless it, Lord, and help me to be a blessing to your people in a few minutes. In Jesus name. And everybody said, Amen. Amen. You may be seated. Thank [Applause] you. I can preach as good as you can listen, but I preach rather if you respond. First, we must believe as we lead this conference that we've been divinely appointed by God to be His representatives on the earth. If that doesn't get in your spirit, this is a bunch of junk. You've got to believe that you have been appointed by God to be a royal ambassador to carry on the mission of Jesus Christ. Anything less than that makes us a bunch of church junkies. Let me try it again. What would you try if you believe God backed you up? Who would you lay hands on if you believe the Holy Ghost and go? What would you try to accomplish if you knew when you put your hand out, even though you didn't feel anything, the God of heaven had appointed you to a commission with Him? And when I lay my hand on you, God's got to do something. I'm not on trial. God's on trial. Can, can I talk a little bit? We, I'm just going to talk. I don't need to preach. You've had enough preaching, but I'm going to tell you something. We need to leave here with the understanding that we are supposed to reveal Jesus and not us. Let me go a little further. And we are supposed to reveal redemption and not perfection. And you cannot reveal Jesus because you talk in tongues and don't smoke [Applause] cigarettes. Let me try it again. Can you grasp for a few minutes that you have been appointed by God to be His replacement body for Jesus? The first body got snatched out of here on a cloud. The second body, He'll go out on the cloud after a while. But until then, I'm Jesus's replacement standard. And I'm supposed to do what He did. And if I don't do it, that's counterfeit Christianity. And we ought to be [Applause] arrested. Well, not doing so good. Oh, you sit down here just a second. Watch what Jesus said. "The works that I do, they bear witness of me." Watch that. "The Father has sent me." Yeah. Watch this one. "We could never say this, if I do not the works of my Father." Don't believe me? Here's what we say. "If I teach doctrine and tell the truth, believe me." Could it be that we have substituted doctrine for demonstration? Okay. Could it be we're hiding behind theology as a substitute because we can't heal the sick, and we can't cast out devils, and we can't cleanse people with AIDS, and we can't do a... I'm going to get angry here in a second. We got to leave here with an understanding that we've got to stop measuring stuff so the miracles can flow. We got to be delivered with this damnable attitude that everything that don't look like us, talk like us, dress like us, act like us, God's not interested in them. Oh, yes, He is. And God wants to give us some miracles as soon as we stop measuring stuff. Am I doing good yet? Yeah. You, you didn't sit down. Water. Women. There, there's so much emphasis in this conference, especially on faith, great faith, strong faith, overcoming faith, and a bunch of them other faiths I never heard of that he talked about. But the problem could be way different than has been proposed. The problem that can stop the miraculous could be as simple as what I have in this bag. I got a Bible full of promises, but I got something in this bag can shut them all down. Would you like to see what's in my [Applause] bag? All right. With this little measuring tape, I can enter into a mentality to shut God down. I can measure your ministry and stop the miraculous in mine. Oh, wish I had. We are the biggest fools like that young man in Zachariah to think that you could measure anything that God's involved with. Where you going, boy? I'm going to measure Jerusalem to do what? To come up with the length and the breadth of it. You mean you're going to measure it and set its limits and rob its future with your dumb little tape? He said God intends for Jerusalem to be so huge, to be so awesome, to be so great, you ain't going to build a wall around it. You ain't going to set a foundation for it. He said, "I'll be a guard around it." You insecure preachers, you need to get rid of your measuring tape and let God protect His church. Can I am I doing good yet? Seem like you're doing pretty good. Well, I'm just nervous. I've been practicing this afternoon, asking God, give me the signal so when I do this, every cancer will go. Well, I've had it a long time. Here it goes. Well, the doctor said I'm going to have to take insulin. But the book said, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." I know you're on medicine. I know you're taking shots. You, you didn't sit down. Excuse me. I'm, I'm about ready to go out of my mind. Now, you think I'm kidding, but there is a damning scripture in Psalm 78 that said, "And they limited the Holy One of Israel." How? By their measuring [Applause] tape. I can't even operate that thing. Hold on. You hold. I'll hold the operating in you. Hold that in case it goes. It'll cut you. Are you ready? They're out in the wilderness, and they whip out their tape and they say, "Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?" And God says, "Well, put a tape on that wilderness, but don't put a tape on me, 'cause I'm on the other side of your wilderness. I'm bigger than your wilderness. I'm bigger than your desert. I'm greater than your dry spell. Don't put a tape on me." Just, just stay with me just a few minutes, okay? I'm just a little nervous here. I'm not much on this picture stuff. Now, you think I'm crazy, but we need to be delivered before we leave, 'cause, 'cause you ain't going to be it because of the times. Tomorrow and all that hiah hokei and fishbone chokey, it'll be gone after a while. And you'll have pregnant girls, and divorces, and you'll have a bunch of queers and and wackos and twinkies, and you'll have a bunch of Looney Tunes to deal with. And you can counsel all you want to, and you can talk in tongues like a Chinese laundry. But I'm going to tell you what, what you need is not a tape measure. You need a miracle-working God that'll take. When they say, "We're going to get a divorce," let God step into that thing and let Him get past the mess you're dealing with. S, s, sit down just a second. You think I'm kidding? You, my Bible tells me that God incarnate, locked up in the body of Jesus, come walk to His own people. And their mentality and their tape measure missed [Applause] Him. Where you from? You, you from Nazareth? Your mama was pregnant before she was married? You, you sitting around with a bunch of harlots and and prostitutes? You healing on the Sabbath? And they missed the greatest miracle ministry that has ever walked on this planet because they had a tape measure mentality. We got to leave this conference and get rid of our tape mentality and believe that God's bigger than what we face. He's greater than what we've got to deal with. He's on our side. He doesn't plan to harm us. He wants to help us. Stay with me just a few minutes. It's 9:15. Stay with me. I, I wish I had time. I just, no, sit down. I'm going to measure you. Hot dog, wearing them nice suits. Got that, oh, got that $300 watch on there. Yeah, them alligator shoes. Yeah, yeah. He probably compromised. Anybody measure that much, he don't believe nothing. You're not hearing me. You're not hearing me. I wish I could, I wish I could take my tape into your choir like some of the idiot dirt bags in Pentecost that'll measure a church. You better not measure a church on whether somebody's got a short dress or have a little problem with some paint or having a little problem with this. You better measure a church by how much love works there, how much victory is there, how many tears have been shed, how many prayers have been prayed. How hungry. Listen, folks, let's stop damning folks that make mistakes. You don't know how many times they fought against that thing and resisted that thing before they came in. Come on. Let's do it. Just stay with me just a second. I'm trying to get to my sermon. And God getting ready. Morton, I want to thank you. I'm going to tell you, bud, I know you've been whacked out. I know they beat up on you for years. You and that other whacko, Clark, and the other guy, Klein Dan. I bet you God damn and condemn and ridicule these guys. You just keep going to doctors. These poor slobs are trying to get you healed. They think the Bible works. You know what? It's not God's pleasure to have three guys trying and 3,000 dying. These signs shall follow them that believe. Not them that are preachers, them that believe in my name. Say it with me. They shall recover. They're going to recover. They will get better. We give up too easy. Sit down. We give up too easy. We quit too easy. I don't mean to be rude. I don't mean to be rude. Now, where's do I show Dr. Clark back? He's back. Where's Dr. Klepper? Listen to me. I'm not going to try to hurt you. I'm glad you got baptized brains, but just, just give me a, just give me a picture here for a second. Watch, watch. Sneezing, snotting, diarrhea, coughing your brains out, can't keep no food on your stomach. So you're walking to a doctor's office, and the slob doesn't have the courtesy to see you on time. Sit in his office for an hour and a half. His time's important. Mine's [Applause] not. And he makes me sit on a cold stainless steel thing. Oh, gives me frostbite of the fanny. And then he sticks a, a stick in my mouth and says, "Ah." Oh. And he goes, "Hmm." Eight years in college. You're sick. You got bronchitis. You got pneumonia. You're dying. Are you ready for this? Now, now you think I'm crazy. He, excuse me for being. He said, "Hey, drop your drawers, bend over. I'm putting a 2-inch needle in your fanny. $150. Boom." Now, wait a minute. Stay with me, Brother Cler. Hold on. And his favorite words, "Go see the cashier." And you go see the cashier. And then they turn around and give you a $200 pharmaceutical thing to fill. And they say, "Now, take these pills for the next five to seven days, these antibiotics, and we'll see if we can knock this out." You've dropped $350. You've lost two and a half hours, and you don't feel no better. And you don't punch that [Applause] slot. Wait a minute. You're not hearing me. But if you get prayed for, you demand us to fix you in five seconds. "You shall recover. You shall recover." If I lay hands on the sick, and you'll believe God, "You shall recover." If God wants to give you a creative miracle, you'll take care of it in a second. But if not, when I lay my hands on you, I got booked for it. "They shall recover." You're going to get better. Stop saying, "Well, I guess it didn't work." This ain't the practice of [Applause] medicine. S, s, s, sit down. I'm sorry. I didn't hurt you, did I, Doc? No. $250. My fanny hurts. I'm swallowing pills that a hippopotamus would choke on. You ready for this? Elder Keys, and five days later, I still got diarrhea, and I'm still coughing, and I'm snotting, and slobbering, and I'm, and I'm doing chicken soup. And guess what? I walk in to see the guy, and he says, "Well, we'll try something else." And I give him another [Applause] $250. But here we sit, and we put our preachers in this glass box and say, "I better get better in the next 10 seconds or you're a false prophet or you don't have faith." That's a lie from hell. God's not going to give everybody an instant miracle, but He did promise you that if you get prayed for and you believe God, God is going to help you get better. Can I preach just a few, few minutes? Few minutes? Just a few minutes? Just a few minutes? And none going to get a healing of leprosy. Can't find no record in the whole Old Testament any leper ever got healed. But the preacher said, "Go down to that dirty Jordan there and dip seven times, and your carcass will get all fixed up." Bud, guess what? Naaman does. What, what river? Yeah. Hold that. Yeah. The, the, the Jordan with all the [Applause] mud. Are you freaked out, man? Abana and Pharpar are better than than Jordan. And with a tape measure mentality, he came within an inch of missing his healing miracle until somebody said, "If I can paraphrase it, why don't you put your dumb tape away and do what the preacher asked you to do and see, and see if God would heal [Applause] you?" I'm going as fast as I can. And they got 5,000 people besides women and children. And if they're married to their men, that's 10,000 adults. And two or three kids each, you got 25,000 people at that Sunday school picnic. And guess who brought his tape measure? One of his disciples. What are they among so many? But supply ain't never been God's problem. And inventory doesn't stop the miraculous. And if He runs out of stuff, be it, He made all the stuff. He can make more stuff. Well, this is a desert place, and we only got five loaves and two fish. And I just see Jesus would, would you put the tape away? Give me the tape. Thank you. Would you give me your stuff? Okay. Now, feed [Applause] everybody. Five loaves, two fish, desert place. Had that happen the way it always happens. Not by might, and not by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord. That's how it always happens. We've got to stop being afraid to step out where we've never been before. We've got to start believing that God is not lying, and He's not playing with our emotions, and He doesn't rejoice because we're hurting. The book of Song of Solomon says, "His desire is towards me." 10, 10, 10 minutes. And s, s, sit down, please. Just s, stay with [Applause] me. Isn't it funny how we think God gets ticked off when we don't do well? And right now, God wants to take us beyond where we've been. Now, you're not going to be able to do this because you don't have that many in your church. But where we've been, He wants to take us beyond where we've been. But listen to me. But God has never, never been on record that He's upset when you try and it didn't work. But He does get aggravated and agitated when you bury your talent and don't try. He'd rather have you fall off your tricycle, fall off your roller skates, fall off your bicycle trying to move out in the spirit than to sit there and build a condominium on your rear end somewhere and never step out and try. Either God's lying or God's telling the truth. I wish I could get about a hundred people and yell at me. I think God wants to use me. I don't care what the tape says. I don't care how many people I prayed for and they died. I'm going to pray again. I don't care how much. I'm going to put my tape measure away, and I'm going to believe that if I can get rid of the tape measure, God has got an agenda for miracles coming down from our ministry. Stay, stay with me just, just a few minutes. Just a few minutes. I told you, inventory is never bothered God. A thousand dead Philistines with one jawbone. 300 guys with a little vessel and some oil and a lamp whipped up on the Midianites. You see, God had to, had to take the tape out of Gideon's [Applause] hand. How many you got? Well, I got 2,200. I got 4,732. I got 2,960. I got 32,000. And when he got his tape all the way out, God said, "Too much." Time to diminish. Oh, I just feel something. You know, you might experience a deliverance if you diminish. Oh, come on, come on, come on. I'm going to handle that dirty devil. Well, what happens if it doesn't work? I'll give you an answer. What happens if it does? What happens if you find out that God ain't a liar? What happens if you find out that God tells the truth? What happens if you see my God wants to use me? Not just Stone, King, not just Bastard, not just Clark, not just CeX, not just a handful of people. God wants to use you. Oh, you're not hearing me. You keep measuring everything by your failures and by your past. Yeah. Just, just sit down. Sit down. Just, just sit down just a second. Thank you very much. I'll take that as a word of compliment. And this big dirt bag standing in the valley of Elah, nine and a half feet of slime, is yelling at people, saying, "Give us a man. Give me a man. Let's get, get ready to rumble. Give here a man." Now, all you people that don't watch TV, you don't know what I just said. Bunch of [Applause] hypocrites. We go, we're going to measure them Baptists. Give me this. Holy end of that. Here we got. I'm going to wrestle you. We, we're going to measure them Charismatics 'cause we don't like them 'cause they're too happy. Oh, they ain't living right. I ain't seen too many among us that are. I didn't say there ain't some. I just said I ain't seen too many. There ain't been a landslide where I've been [Applause] running. Well, you know what she did to her hair? You know she wearing them shorts and them slacks? Now, you couldn't have revival and managing shirts. The Godly don't believe nothing. You ever look close at some of them chicks? No. I haven't seen him so much in the choir, but I, I did hear him in the prayer room. Does that count for anything? Don't you realize a whole bunch of us are in process? Don't you realize that some of us have bigger weaknesses than other people have? Don't you, don't you know that God loves to rejoice in showing mercy? He delights. Listen, long as you're moving in the right direction, I'm not going to whip out my little tape measure and say, "You ain't got nothing." I'm going to tell you what, my friend, you need to keep your stinking tape measure to yourself. And some of you sweet darlings here going home to a church of 10 or 50 or 100, and they play in between the keys on the piano, and the people that sing a half a tooth, whole tooth, no tooth. Friend, you ain't got this. Don't go home with your tape measure out and say, "What can we do?" I'll tell you, you can't do beans. Now that we got that over. God can do something. God will take you. God will give you revival back in your home. Don't measure yourself away from the miraculous. Your church can grow. Your church can double. You can have signs and wonders and miracles. You don't always need a special gifted person. Few more minutes. Few more minutes. Sorry, sorry, sorry. We measure houses and lands, and we measure carpet and drapes and tile. Tragedy. We've decided in the last few days, we'll measure people. God help you if you're the wrong color. Now, I'm going to say this as kind as I can, and I got my sword. I don't need no more plaques. And I'm saying this sincere as I can be. I'm going to tell you something. Our church is multicultural. We got lots of wonderful black folks and Hispanic folks and, and I mean, it's like preaching the United Nations. But I'm going to say something to you black folks right here, and I don't want you getting offended. I thank God for you and the wonderful culture of the black people. And here's why I love to preach to black people: 'cause they tell me where I am. I'm preaching to you white cats till my tongue falls out, and I don't know nothing's going on. But you preach to some black folks, and they'll go, "Bring it on! Come on! Uh-huh! Yeah! Come on now! Oh, yeah! Tell me! Bring it on down here!" Now, you laugh all you want to, but see, they don't measure the pulpit. They've let God have free course. We need a church full of people that tell that preacher, "Come on, bring it on! Now let's go! Come on now! Come on!" I'm going to have a miracle here in just a minute. I'm fixing to put my tape measure down, and I'm going to let God show His stuff. You, you, you, you can sit down just a second. I'm, I'm almost there. Now, here's where we take our tape measure out. The minute God calls any of us to do something for Him. Right. Mo, want you to put on the biggest jailbreak recorded in human history. Mo's got a sunburn. He runs around sheep, and he's got dung in his slippers. And God says, "I'll take you." Nobody else has volunteered. They're all measuring [Applause] stuff. You know why nobody tried to spring all them Jews out? They were smart enough. They couldn't whip up on Pharaoh in Egypt. They were no match for them. They were the world empire. And the minute God shows up and sets that bush on fire and resurrects this guy's backsliding dream, the first thing Mo puts out, he says, "Wait a minute. Who am [Applause] I?" "Hey, fool, I'll tell you who you are. You're the one God asked to use." "No, I'm going to wait on you." "You're the one God asked to use. You're the one God sent into that city. You're the one that God told to do this. You're the one. It's not your qualification. It's His qualification. He don't need our stuff. We need His stuff." Who, who am I? You sit down. Then he measured his mouth. "I'm slow of speech." Then he measured other people's hearts. That's how stupid you can get with a tape measure. "They won't believe me." "Did you ask [Applause] them?" Well, I was doing good for a minute. And the angel shows up with Gideon with a bowl of shredded wheat. A bowl of shredded wheat behind the. Now, God, I'm excited. But it would have freaked you out if it had talked, didn't it? And an angel shows up, and he's got a bowl of shredded wheat behind a wine press. And the Lord talks to him. Do that angel. And the first thing that the loony says is, "Wait a minute. I'm the least in my family. I can't do nothing." "Hey, fool, who asked your family?" Do you know how many of you are not reaching your potential in the Holy Ghost because you worry about what your family thinks? You worry about what your brothers think? You put away your tape measure because the God you're dealing with is measureless. He's infinite. He's from everlasting to everlasting. I, I need to talk just a few minutes, okay? Just a few minutes. I'm going to tell you again, God doesn't get upset when you try to move in the spiritual and you flub. He saves that for church folks 'cause they all have tapes. Oh, yeah. I've seen them disciples trying to cast that devil out. That kid in Mark nine. Yeah, I've seen it. Thrilled. More thrilled over the fact you couldn't get him out, but the boss showed up and said, "I can get him out." And He never did condemn the guys for trying. If God wouldn't condemn you for trying when it didn't work, don't condemn yourself when you make a mistake. That's how you learn. Just a little old Bible study. Ready? Okay, okay. S, sit down. Sit down. I'm going to tell you, He don't get mad when you, when you flub up. And they're in that storm, Matthew 14. And here He comes, hoofing it. And Pete looks out. "What's something coming my way?" And everybody on the boat took out their tape. Said, "Well, we ain't talking to it." And Pete said, "I think I will. Hey, Jesus, is that you?" "That's me. If it's really you, let me come on out there and try some of that supernatural stuff." "We get your carcass all over the side. Come on, baby." And here comes Pete. You know what? Let, let him walk on the water. He left the tape in the boat. And then he got scared and started measuring the storm when he was out there, and down he went. Go ahead, laugh all about it. Down he went. But guess what? He said, "Jesus, save me." And the Lord went and snatched him up. And my Bible says they both walked back together. What he couldn't do by himself, he got to do with Jesus. Don't be afraid to fall down. He ain't going to kill you, and He's not going to damn you, and He's not going to condemn you. Get rid of your tape measure. Few minutes, and I'm there. And the Lord turns around, Michael, and says, "Peter, I'm going to make you become fishermen." Watch this. Fills the whole boat full of all kinds of fish. And the minute the miraculous shows up, he says, "Depart from me, I'm a sinful man." You just sit there just like you actually believe what I just said. God's talking to some of you right now, saying, "I'm going to use you." And you do this coward baloney. You know, I just don't pray like I should. And I, I, I'm more intellectual. Yeah, we're sick of you. If I was a sinner, I'd tell you where to take your degrees. You think I'm kidding you? I'm so sick and tired of this psychology stuff. Let me tell you something. All these cats writing all these books and stuff about, you don't, the reason why we write a lot of them books and all them tracks is because that's a substitute for the supernatural. You're not going to get strong in the supernatural unless you try, and you try, and you practice, and you try, and you practice, and you try. You ain't going to do nothing till you step out. You got to get out of the boat. You don't know what God wants to do with you if you get rid of your tape [Applause] measure. I'm not, I'm not done. I ain't afraid of you guys. Let me ask you a question. I'll put it down on your level. Everybody in this place could understand this. Put, sit down a second. Any parents besides me ever had your kids when you bought them crayons and a coloring book and you gave it to them to color, and they came back and it looked like an earthquake in [Applause] Guam? Yeah, know there was, wasn't a crayon in 46 inches of that line. Now watch. See, if we're not a bunch of characters, if we ain't sort of like God, and when they brought it to us, we said, "Honey, that, now Michelangelo is running out of your shadow. That, now that is as pretty as it gets." And then you play the hypocrite and show it to your wife. "Look at here, Thetus. Look at here. Purple and short truce oranges." All right. Now, wait a minute. You, I got a spiritual principle here. We compliment our children not on their performance, on their effort. God's not asking for perfection. He's asking for an effort. Get rid of the tape measure. It's stealing your miracles. Get rid of this concept that it's got to be done right every time. Stay with me. I'm almost [Applause] there. Get your kid a set of roller skates. Five gallons of mucura chrome, 200, 100 pounds of bandages. My mother bought me a set of ice skates when I was a kid. For seven or eight years, I wore my ankles out. I was too fat to stand on that little thing, and I just kind of run. And my mother'd sit there and say, "Woo, Olympic potential." Laugh all you want to. She was complimenting my effort. You church junkies, you just look for performance. Some of us are trying to skate out into the supernatural. Some of us are trying to step out where the glory world meets the natural world, and we look kind of awkward, and we feel kind of uncomfortable. But I feel something in the spirit saying, "Come on, come on, skate on. Come on, stretch out. Come on, step out here. Give it a try." I'll use anybody that'll believe. Can. Now, I need 10 minutes. 10 minutes. 55 minutes. 10 minutes is all. 10 minutes. It is so easy to measure ourselves right past the supernatural. It is so easy for us to take the findings of our tape that says, "You're unlikely." Listen to me. You may seem unlikely, but that doesn't mean you're unusable. The greatest miracle worker ever was, was Jesus. And He walked into Nazareth. Gregory. He walked into Nazareth loaded to heal everything. He didn't get 15 feet inside the city. "Oh, we know you. You're that carpenter kid down there playing with them sandals and making that funny kind of yoke stuff. Yeah, we, we know you." And they wrapped Him up in their tape measure, and He could only touch a few folks. If you read four verses down from Mark chapter 6, the Bible said He got out of Nazareth, threw the tape down, went a few miles down the street into Capernaum, and here's what it says: "And He healed all the sick that were in there." [Applause] Thank you, sir. If Moses needed supernatural empowerment and equipment to bust those Jews out of being held hostage, and if Jesus never did any miracles until He was anointed at the Jordan, and the disciples were never sent out after Calvary until they were infused, anointed with the Holy Ghost, now you just keep whipping your doctrine on them. I'm going to wait. Don't you, don't scare me. I believe one God, Jesus, baptism, Holy Ghost, talking enough. Big deal. You didn't hear me. I'll try it again. And Moses comes in and says, "I talk in this bush." He said, "Let everybody go." And Pharaoh says, "What about you, fool? I ain't letting everybody go." And God says, "I know he won't let you go, but once I do all my signs and wonders, he'll let you go." You think you can get people out of sin just by teaching them a search for truth, and baptizing them in Jesus' name? Friend, we've got to be ambassadors for the supernatural. We've got to be demonstrators for deity. That don't walk out of here and say, "I don't believe the gospel and the doctrine." Oh, yes, I do. But you need more than a doctrine, and you need more than water. You've got to have an endowment from another world. You've got to be endued with power from on high. We've got to be demonstrators of Jesus and show the world that He is alive and He's working in us just like He did in them. I, I, I'm sorry. I, I want to get to a great sermon here. Could Mike, you're a good reader. You got to. I got something I want to say. I want to say first, I want, Ezekiel 47, okay? You got it. I'm not as good a reader as Mike. Well, that's okay. Just read in English. I'm sorry, Bishop. I'm sorry. Well, I'm just not preaching real good. I'm, I want to preach better than I'm preaching, and I'm just frustrated because, because God has made me nervous. Because if all I have to do is preach, I don't worry about it, because I'm called to do that. It's my comfort zone. But in these last few weeks, God dealt with me and said, "I'm going to take you where you preach a little bit, and then I'm going to make you start demonstrating and praying for people." And I said, "Well, maybe Morton will be here. Maybe, maybe Fred. Maybe will be here." It's you. And the Lord said, "No, no." Well, you're preaching this stuff, and you stay where you are. And to help me out, this, this backslider came to our church a few weeks ago, and, and brought his daughter up. Little beautiful little girl, and she was so cross-eyed, doc, both eyes were almost on the same side of her nose. And he said, "She's got this weak eye thing, and the doctor's going to have to do surgery, and they make it straighten, and they make it out." Oh, I don't know about that gift stuff. Subra, you know about that stuff? I don't know about. But I felt this come on me like a, like a, like a gift of faith that all of a sudden just said, "Just speak it, and I'll take care of it." And it wasn't like me trying to grunt and sweat. I just want, man, God will fix this in, in, in no time. And I went to lay my hands on that child. And the minute I did, the Holy Ghost spoke to me and said, "The boy's practicing sin. I'll heal the child as soon as he consecrates." Now, I step back and I go, "Oh my God, I'm in worse trouble now." And I, and I looked at him, man, this spiritual stuff can get scary, man. Read them sermon books, it's easy. And all of a sudden, I stepped back and I said, "Son, let me tell you what I feel the Lord just told me. Said, 'You're still smoking cigarettes?'" "Yes, sir." "I said, 'The Lord told me the minute you consecrate and repent and make a move towards God, you ain't got to get everything right. Make a move towards God. God has told me He will straighten this child's eyes instantly.'" Now, that's scary stuff to say if you ain't Morton. Well, Freddy, two weeks later, he comes up to church. I'm walking off the platform, my socks are hanging down, my hair's hanging down, I'm wiped out. And he runs up behind me and he goes, "Pastor, Pastor!" I said, "What's going on?" He said, "I did what you told me." I said, "Yeah." He said, "He says, look, her eyes are straight." Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord. Who are you? Oh, mountain, bow before Zerubbabel. Come on. I only got six minutes left. Sit down just a second. Is that cool? See, I don't have no great stories like you guys. I don't have, I got no spinal cords sticking up there. But I don't mean to be unkind, but I will have shortly. Yes, I said I will have shortly. 'Cause I'm not going to use this, Michael. I'm not going to say, "Well, I prayed for him and it didn't work." And I prayed for her to die. I can't help the sovereignty of God. I don't know why some things work and some don't. But I'm not going to let my failure stop me. And I'm not going to let other people's lack of faith stop me either. God's telling the truth or He's lying. Stay with me. Now, we got to finish this little Bible study and, and, and, and then I'll finish. I'll, oh, God have mercy. I, I, I wish somebody go home, Brother Tom, I wish somebody go home like a Lazarus's grave, uh, and find out where you buried your dream, and show the Master where you stopped believing, and when you gave up hope. [Applause] And I thought for sure you'd come for the funeral, Jesus. And now we got a stone in front of that stiff, and he stinks like a dead dog. And the Master saying, "Could you do me a favor? I just need." Now, see, your version doesn't have what my version has. Your version says, "He said, 'Roll away the stone.'" My version says, "Drop the tape first." You think I'm kidding you? But if you don't drop the tape, you won't roll the stone. If you don't stop measuring everything, you won't try to do something that's impossible for you to do. Okay, I'm, I'm trying to finish. Anthony, just, just read here in 47 and 3, and we'll go. I got, "And when the man that had the line in his hand." Yeah. I wish I could preach a sermon on those damnable measures. Okay, wait a minute. A society of tabulators, calculators of Christianity. Want to know who that cat was? We got people around us all the time. They come in with a Bible in one hand and a tape measure in the other. And they measure the choir, and they measure the Bible study, and they measure the dimension of praise and worship, and they measure the offering. May I? Some of you cats right now, you're measuring whether I'm preaching good or not. Let me help you with it. I'm preaching great. Stay with me. We got three minutes. "Measured a thousand cubits." Sit down. "And he brought me through the waters, and the waters were to the ankles." And he get, he measured a thousand. Yeah. "And he brought me through the water." Yeah. "And the waters were to the knees." Yeah. "And again, he measured a thousand." Now, here's the revelation. You said, "I get revelations." He gave it to me this morning in the motel. Over measured a thousand. Here we go. "And he brought me through." Yeah. "And the waters were to his loins." Go ahead. "After he measured a thousand, and it was a river that I could not pass over." Did you notice what's missing? Three times he measured. And the Bible said, "After he measured, he brought me through." And then when he measured again, he brought me through. And he, when he measured the third time, he brought me through. But when it got real deep, he said, "Go by." No. When it got real deep, he said, "Go by yourself." You, you didn't hear me. As long as it's ankle deep and knee deep and loin deep, we don't mind someone leading us. But when God wants to take it into a real deep move of the spirit, you can't get nobody to take you. You got to have the courage to go out and do it yourself. I got one minute. One minute. You can stand up. I don't care. One minute. Read. "I could not pass over, for the waters were risen waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over." Yeah. Because when God opens up the spirit world to you, you, you're not going to be greater than it. You got to step into it, and you got to step into another law. There's a law for walking on dirt, and there's a law for swimming in water. God spoke to me in the motel and said, "Here's what you're afraid of, Jeffrey. Getting into deep water. You start splashing and splashing. But if you learn to relax and yield, the river will carry you." Don't fight against the Spirit of God. Just relax. It has the power to carry you. We got 42 seconds. "And he said unto me, 'Son of man, thou hast seen this?' Oh, Jesus. Then he brought me and caused me to return to the brink of the river." Well, now, here's the next miracle. I got. I never stole this from nobody's tape. I didn't read it in some dumb guy. God just gave.
It to me watch this now. When I returned, behold, at the bank of the river were many trees. Stopped. Here's what the spirit said: "If this conference will leave here and begin to step into the river of God, I will change the landscape that they left." You cannot find scripture where those trees were there when he started dealing with the spirit world. It was only when he moved out into the spirit world. While he was in the spirit world, God was creating stuff back at the home turf. Yeah.
When some of you cats leave here in the next few minutes, God is going to turn your landscape around back home and give you a brand new picture. Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes. Let me try it again. Come on. Let's let. Where's Tom? Tom, I remember that one year we did the Eagles. I was praying in the motel this morning and I said, "Now, God, I'd like to have these guys kind of carry me so I could float, but I'd probably give them a hernia. I'm too heavy." And I thought, "Now, how can I do this?" So I'm just going to have to make believe here. I'm in the water and I'm and I'm and I'm floating, and the spirit is carrying me whatsoever it will. And while I'm yielding to the spirit, God is changing my geography back home. That hell and junk and trash and crud that you got to deal with back home, if you'll get in the spirit before you get back home, God will bring in alteration. Cuz the Bible said, "Those trees were for food and the leaves were for healing." The miraculous is waiting on us when we get home.
I'm, I'm not done. I'm just stopping. And oh, those that go down into great waters and they see the works of the Lord. Watch and his wonders in the deep. Wers of the. You keep hanging around Pentecost and playing in that shallow water. First all you're going to do is wear your flesh out trying to move a rowboat that's in two feet of water. And second, the only thing you're going to do is muddy up the water, right? You got to get away from the shore, out of the shallows, into the deep, because in the deep is where the harvest is. Now, now, I, I'm, I'm finished. I'm finished. I'm, I'm, I'm one minute late and you were slow. I'm.
[Applause]
Now, I would be wrong in saying, "Let's go home." Now, we're going to demonstrate. I don't need all of you. I just need some folks that believe I told the truth. Jesus spoke to a fig tree and it died up by the roots because the miracle always happens below the surface before it's manifested on top of the surface. And Jesus turned around in Mark 2 and he forgave the guy his sins, and they didn't believe him, so he healed him, so that the visible validated the invisible. So I need some folks right now that you got disease. Well, let's, let's go easy. You got pain in your body. 3,000 people and I got two people with pain. You got pain in your body right now. See all these people with their hands up. Now, all you cats that are acting like you're saved, get with them. I want you to do this for me. I want you to take an inventory and ask them where the pain is. Cuz Jesus said, "Brother Jack, that I could speak to my fig tree." We are letting our mountains talk to us, and we're supposed to talk to our mountains. We're allowing our pains and our diseases and our sicknesses to dictate to us, and we're supposed to speak to them. Now, I feel right now there's an uneasy something here right now. See, you'd rather be hyping and hooping and hoop, H, hoop.
[Music]
Hoop. Come on. Who's in pain? Well, I'll just tell you what I've been praying for that I've asked God to give me total dominion over. I've had, Brother Barnes, I've asked God for total dominion over every kind of cancer that grows, cuz cancer is a spirit, and I can speak to its spirit and make it die. I can make it come right out of that flesh. And I've asked God for total authority and dominion over sugar diabetes, cuz it's killing us. Speak to that. If anybody you're going to pray for right now is if they got any problems with their pancreas, any problems with their insulin, any problems with their kidneys, I want you to ask them what's wrong with them. Now, all the rest of you spectators, do whatever you want. And and.
[Applause]
I, I want you to believe that God wants to use you right now. We got any faith up here? I know you're a man of faith. Come on. I feel right now there's. I know it's so simple to say with 3,000 people, there's all kinds of backaches and hip problems and joint problems, but there's stuff right now, and I'm going to speak to it, and I want you to speak to it by the word of God, in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, I command every bit of disease, every bit of sickness, every bit of pain, every malfunction in kidney, every malfunction in pancreas, I command you by the word of the living God to step into the river of the spirit and be made whole.
[Applause]
I take authority over every migraine headache, every pinched nerve, every strained ligament, every muscle that causes you not to be able to walk and to be able to function. I have authority, Brother Barnes. I'm an ambassador of Jesus Christ. I have a right to speak. I speak in the name of Jesus that the healing waters would flow. If you'll just yield yourself, put away your tape measure. Put away your tape measure. "I don't feel anything. I don't understand." Put that tape measure away and believe that God wants to make you well and take that disease out of your body. You are the house of God. You are the temple of the Holy Ghost. It is not God's will for you to suffer with cancer and diabetes and.
[Applause]
Leukemia. In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, raise up a group right now of these young Christians that learn how to get in the river of God and learn how to float and learn how to let the river take them and not be intimidated by public opinion and by peer fear and by stuff that says, "What if it doesn't work?" Brother Hinson, I know you believe it. I've heard you preach it. I know you believe it. It is the will of God that we enjoy divine health, that you might prosper even as your soul prospers and be in health.
[Applause]
I want you to wreck your faith and say, "If they lay hands on me, I'm going to recover." And maybe a day, it may be a month, it may be six weeks. I'm going to get better. I will.
[Applause]
[Applause]
I want you to that won't get on me. You resisted just.
[Applause]
Like on all over this room. Let the Holy Ghost blow. Let the Holy Ghost blow. Let the Holy Ghost blow. Minister all over this place. Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask you to let this young man to take a swim in the River of Life. Let him believe and let his pancreas be protected from diabetes, that nothing could get into his pancreas to make him fail, that he would be a living testimony of the virtue of God. Let the life of Jesus be made manifest in his mortal body in Jesus name, that the life of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal bodies. You've got to believe me. You have the life of Jesus in your spirit. Ask God to let it come out of your spirit into your soul and into your body, that the life of Jesus might be made manifest in your mortal.
[Applause]
Body. It doesn't have to come down. It has to come out. You've got the life of Jesus in your spirit. Like the Israeli princes, speak to it. "Spring up, oh well! Spring up, oh well!" Let that life energy of Jesus touch my body, touch my blood pressure, touch my cholesterol count, touch my sugar level. Come on, believe me. Let it touch you. Ask it to come out of your spirit and manifest itself in your body.
[Applause]
Hallelujah. Come on. Waters ankle thee. Waters knee thee. Waters loin thee. But there comes a river that is so great, you've got to learn how to float in it. You've got to learn the law of the spirit. You've got to cooperate with the river. I said, "All over this place, reach over. Lay your hands on the person beside you. Let's receive what preach." Come on, come on. The balcony, there's people on the rail up there. Just reach over. Hands on everybody beside you. Let faith fill the house right now. Just let faith fill the house right.
[Applause]
Now, come on. Let's get in one mind and one accord. Let the Holy Ghost hit.
[Applause]
Him. Been a day in deliverance. Now tonight of.
[Applause]
Healing.
[Applause]
Thank.
[Applause]
You.
