Every day, your arteries are quietly clogging, and your doctor won't mention it until it's too late. But one powerful drink can open them up and slash your risk of heart disease naturally. I'm breaking down the science and the truth big pharma would rather you ignore. You need this before your next blood test.
Most people think clogged arteries are from bad genes, getting older, or just bad luck. But arterial inflammation, not age, not even cholesterol, is the real silent killer. So, I'm going to give you five science-backed drinks that reduce visceral fat, drop inflammation, improve insulin sensitivity, lower inflammatory markers like APOB, CRP, triglycerides, and fasting glucose and insulin. And they support arterial repair and nitric oxide support. And yeah, it helps to clear your arteries fast. These aren't gimmicks. These are human study-backed metabolic superpowers. Let's dive right in.
Drink number one, I call it the pomegranate artery repair elixir. Yes, pomegranate juice. And no, I'm not talking about the sugary bottled garbage you're going to find at the grocery store. I'm talking about real 4 to 8 ounces of unsweetened 100% pomegranate juice. It's really surprising, but not many people, including your doctor, know about this study. It actually was published in 2004 and it was a human study published in Israel. Participants with corateed artery stenosis drank 1 ounce of pomegranate juice daily for a year and the results were shocking. The thickness of their arteries reduced by 30%. That's 30%. Their systolic blood pressure dropped by 12%. Their LDL oxidized particles dropped, get this, by 90%, 90%, and their antioxidant capacity skyrocketed. This was a literal reversal of arterial plaque.
Here's why this works. Pomegranates contain punicogens. Simply put, this is a compound that lowers oxidative stress, reduces oxidized cholesterol, the LDL silent killer variety. And get this, it increases your nitric oxide levels by 23%. This is important because nitric oxide opens up your blood vessels and allows those plaques and particles and blood flow and nutrients to flow right through without getting clogged or stuck. Oh, and it also reduces inflammatory markers like CRP and IL6, which are two very common inflammatory markers. It also improves insulin sensitivity, which helps you burn fat.
So, here's how I want you to make this first drink. You want to get 4 to 8 ounces of 100% pomegranate juice, ideally organic. You also want to get 8 oz of water, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and then grab half a lemon, and a pinch of high quality salt. You're simply going to put all this into a cup, mix it together, and drink it. Drink it right before your first meal of the day. This is a metabolic and cardiovascular shockwave.
Now, let's move on to drink number two. And by the way, I'll drop links and resources for the items that I personally use. If you want to use those as resources, we'll put it in the notes down below.
Drink number two. Great news for my fellow coffee drinkers. I'm actually drinking this exact drink right now. It's high quality coffee with high quality olive oil, grass-fed butter, and sea salt. All right, you may be thinking, Ben, that sounds crazy. How does that taste? Look, it actually tastes pretty damn good. And here's why. This fat-fueled coffee clears arteries. When you find a high quality, organic, mold-free, contamination-free coffee bean, it's rich in polyphenols. One of those polyphenols is called chlorogenic acid. And high quality coffee beans have been shown to reduce all-cause mortality, improve endothelial function, increase nitric oxide, actually lower blood pressure, lower inflammatory markers like CRP. It helps you burn fat by achieving more insulin sensitivity, and get this, studies are showing that coffee beans, high quality coffee beans, can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes by up to 40%. That's pretty cool.
Now, we stack the coffee with butter, olive oil, and salt. Here's why. Olive oil, for example, when you get a high quality olive oil loaded with polyphenols, very insulin friendly. This improves vascular function. It also helps with visceral fat, especially fatty liver disease. The grass-fed butter contains butyrate, which lowers inflammation and helps your body produce anti-inflammatory ketones. The salt improves adrenal function and nitric oxide. And let's face it, when you drink too much coffee, you lose some electrolytes and minerals. So, it's a good idea to replace it with a little bit of salt in this coffee. When you combine this all together, not only do I believe it tastes delicious, it signals metabolic flexibility and stable glucose. And human studies back this up. For example, a recent study from 2022, which was a meta-analysis, showed regular coffee intake improves endothelial function. And this was measured by something called flow-mediated dilation, which is a direct measure of how flexible your arteries are.
So, here's how I want you to make this. 12 ounces of a high-quality organic mold-free coffee. The one that I've been using since 2018 is Purity Coffee. And you could actually get Purity Coffee for 20% off if you go to puritycoffee.com/benazati. We'll put that link down below. You could also uh just type it in your web browser. It's a very high polyphenol, chlorogenic acid, mold-free coffee bean that actually tastes pretty delicious. So, 12 ounces of that, one tablespoon of a high-quality olive oil. Uh, and most olive oil out there is junk. So, the one that I use is from the freshpressed olive oil club. And you could get a bottle for free after you get two bottles if you go to benazadi.com/oliveoil. So, you put a tablespoon of the olive oil, and I'll put a link for the one I use down below. Then you grab any kind of uh grass-fed butter, put a tablespoon of that in the coffee, and then a pinch of high-quality salt. I use Baja Gold or Redmonds. I'll put that down below. And then you either blend it in a blender or you just mix it with a spoon. And then you sip on that in the morning. Ideally, an hour and a half after waking up. And you don't drink it after 12:00 p.m. because of the half-life of caffeine. This is actually a great breakfast option for you. Better than high carbohydrate bagels and cereal and oatmeal. You might want to have this instead.
All right, drink number three. I call it the artery opening cacao cardio tonic. I know that's a mouthful. What this does, it helps you raise nitric oxide, lowers insulin, and helps with fat loss. Most people think cacao is is like just dessert, but raw, organic, unsweetened cacao is one of the most clinically proven artery healing foods on the planet. I even like it better than beets because it doesn't give you the glucose and insulin spike that beets will give you. And the research on this is super strong.
Here's why raw cacao works. Raw cacao is loaded with flavanols that boost nitric oxide production, improve endothelial function and flexibility of the arteries, reduces arterial stiffness, lowers blood pressure, lowers oxidized LDL cholesterol, improves insulin sensitivity, reduces inflammation and improves your HDL levels. Now HDL, high-density lipoprotein is your arteries'orial system. We want to increase that and raw cacao has been shown to do that. It's one of the most powerful cardiovascular foods ever studied. Human research and this is a massive study. Check this out. Harvard has a study they published in 2006. We've known this for quite some time titled cacao flavonol improve blood flow. The study showed that adults with endothelial dysfunction consumed high flavonol cacao. The results when they did the flow-mediated dilation test which is a really really accurate test looking at your arteries there was an improvement by 400%. This is a direct measure of arterial health. Oh but there's more studies. A 2015 study which was a meta-analysis in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that cacao flavonol significantly reduced systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, inflammatory marker CRP, and lowered fasting insulin. A 2022 trial called the Cosmos trial, 21,000 participants. Here's what it showed. Daily cacao extract reduced cardiovascular events by 27%. Massive human trial. Massive results.
So, here's how I want you to make this. 1 teaspoon of organic raw cacao powder. 8 to 10 ounces of warm water or unsweetened coconut milk or unsweetened macadamia nut milk. You want to add in a 1/4 of a teaspoon, just a little bit of Ceylon cinnamon. a pinch of sea salt. And if you want to improve the flavor profile, you can add in half a teaspoon of raw honey. And you're going to add in one teaspoon of MCT oil to help with blood vessel dilation and ketone production. You see, when the cacao flavonol hit your bloodstream, hit your endothelium, nitric oxide production jumps. Within 30 minutes, arteries open up, blood flow increases, insulin sensitivity improves, and inflammation drops. This is a legit cardio pre-workout drink or something you could have as a dessert after your dinner. I know people think chocolate is unhealthy and that may be true, but raw cacao is different. It's one of the strongest nitric oxide and inflammation lowering foods ever discovered.
Okay, we got two more drinks here. The fourth one is the insulin crushing apple cider vinegar and cinnamon metabolic shot. Apple cider vinegar is one of the most studied metabolic compounds on Earth. Here's why this works for arterial health. According to studies, apple cider vinegar improves insulin sensitivity, post-meal glucose by 20 to 34%. It lowers triglycerides. It improves satiety where you feel full and you don't have to snack in between meals. And it helps with fat burning. Lower insulin and lower inflammation equal lower plaque growth. Human studies back this up. A 2018 study showed apple cider vinegar reduced fasting glucose and HBA1C, which is a three-month measure of your glucose, in insulin resistant adults. Apple cider vinegar before meals reduced postprandial glucose by 34% in another clinical trial. Cinnamon adds even more. It improves insulin sensitivity and improves and lowers fasting glucose and it reduces inflammatory cytokines.
So here's the recipe, very simple. 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, organic raw with the mother. 8 ounces of water, half a teaspoon of Ceylon cinnamon, and you could add in a squeeze of lemon. Drink this before your highest carb meal of the day. Your arteries love this combo.
Okay, we got drink number five. Now, this is the metabolic turmeric golden artery latte. This one tastes like dessert, but it heals and feels like medicine. Here's why this works. Turmeric plus black pepper called piperine dramatically reduce inflammatory levels like CRP, IL6, fibrinogen, oxidized LDL, and it also helps pull visceral fat out of your body, the fat around your organs. Curcumin is one of the most potent anti-inflammatory nutrients ever studied. Human research, multiple random control trials show curcumin lowers the inflammatory marker CRP as effectively as anti-inflammatory drugs without the side effects.
So, here's the recipe. 10 ounces of warm unsweetened coconut milk, half a teaspoon of high quality turmeric, one pinch of black pepper, half a teaspoon of ginger, half a teaspoon of cinnamon, and you could add in 1 tbsp of grass-fed butter or grass-fed ghee. Mix it together or blend it and then drink it. This is a fat burning, artery calming, cortisol lowering nighttime drink. So, it's great to have after your last meal of the day.
Chances are your doctor has never told you about this that because the medical system is designed to manage disease, not reverse it, not prevent it. Everything I just shared does not require prescriptions. They don't generate revenue. They don't keep you sick. And of course, these drinks are not the whole situation or solution, but they become a massive part of rewiring your metabolism, dropping inflammation, and transforming those cardiovascular markers. So if you're tracking those markers, track them now and then drink these different drinks for about a month and you could rotate in between and I'll talk about that during your questions. But then track APOB, CRP, homocysteine, A1C, fasting insulin, triglycerides, and HDL and even LpA and do a CAC score and watch what it will do to transform every single one of those markers.
Let me address the questions you submitted on this topic to give you more clarity here. Before I do, I want to give you a valuable free resource. Look, you've been lied to. Some of the healthiest vegetables you eat every day are silently wrecking your gut, inflaming your body, and locking fat around your belly. I put together a free guide breaking down five vegetables you must avoid if you want real fat loss and what to eat instead to reset your metabolism fast. This is the truth your doctor will never tell you, but your belly fat already knows. Click the first link in the description box below or if you're watching on YouTube, scan the QR code on the screen right now with your phone to grab your avoid list. It's less inflammation, less confusion, and a lot less belly fat in 7 days or less.
Now, let's get to your questions.
Can these drinks actually reverse plaque, or do they just prevent more from forming? Both. Studies show it reverses plaque and it also prevents it from building up. So, it's a good idea to drink it to be preventative. It's also a good idea to drink it if you already have plaque.
How often should I drink each one? Daily, weekly, or only when my labs are bad? I gave you five different options. I'm not saying you drink five of these drinks every single day. I think that's too much. But pick any one of the five and drink it at least one of the five every day. Whichever one resonates with you. Maybe here's what you do. Here's here's what I would do. And I've done this. I I would choose one drink that I mentioned today and have that for seven days in a row. So, a week, the next week I would move on to the next drink. Seven days in a row. I would keep doing that. I like that sort of rotation. It keeps things pretty simple.
If I'm pre-diabetic or if I'm diabetic, which of these drinks is the safest to start with? I would say drink number two, the high-quality coffee with olive oil, butter, and salt. That's going to be the safest for pre-diabetic diabetics, and those that are insulin resistant.
Can I combine two or more of these drinks in the same day, or is that too much? It might be too much. You know, two maximum. I wouldn't do more than that. at least one a day. Like maybe you do the coffee one for breakfast and you do something like the cacao drink for for dinner uh or dessert I should say.
Is it okay to drink the pomegranate one if I'm avoiding sugar or trying to stay in ketosis? If you're trying to stay in ketosis, you're doing keto, low carb, carnivore, you probably want to skip the pomegranate one cuz it might raise your glucose. Not super high, but high enough to prevent ketosis or get you out of ketosis. So maybe skip that one and use any of the other ones.
Can I add sweeteners like stevia or monk fruit to these drinks or would that ruin the benefits? You can. Monk fruit, stevia, xylitol, erythritol are fine. I would avoid though sugar and aspartame and sucralose. I would not recommend that.
How long does it take to see changes in blood pressure, ApoB or CRP after starting these 30 days if you did testing day one and then 30 days after having these drinks, you'll see a difference in those lab markers. You'll also feel the difference. So that's it. 30 days. Super cool. I hope this is valuable. Let me know which drink you're going to try first in the comment section down below. For those watching on YouTube, please share this with somebody you know. Hey, thank you for watching. Thank you for listening. And if you love this lesson, I just published a new video on what eating four eggs a day, four eggs a day does to your brain, belly fat, and longevity. Now, your doctor won't tell you about this, and it's super cool. Here's a clip from that video. Then, click the video on the screen coming up here, and I'll see you in that next lesson. For decades, eggs, which I call mother nature's multivitamin, they were demonized. Doctors said they'd clog your arteries, raise your cholesterol, and kill you. They plastered heart-healthy labels on sugary cereals while real food, eggs, butter, red meat, got villainized. Another reason why they believe cholesterol causes heart disease.
