Here's Gary Tan, who is one of the co-founders of Posterous. Last year, 2008, was a lot different for you. This year, you yourself are a founder. Tell me about that.
Indeed. Well, we learned so much from Startup School last time. It was my first time. We've been wanting to do this for quite some time, but Y Combinator came along and really opened our eyes to what's out there and what we needed to do. Right after Startup School last year, we applied. We got in. Got in the Summer 2008 batch, launched, raised an angel round. Now we do about a million and a half uniques in the United States on Posterous.com, and I can't say that, you know, it would have happened without it.
So, I know you're here taking a lot of pictures and everything, but you've got quite, quite a bit more experience now. Can you share some of that?
Yeah, absolutely. Well, so last year, I just loved photography. Both me and my co-founder, Sachin Agarwal, love photography so much, and we also love blogging. So, what we did was, I actually came to the front row, got here early, and took photos of all the speakers. And so Paul and Jessica actually told me later on that that was one of the reasons why they picked us out of something like, you know, several thousand, who knows how many applications. And, you know, I thought that would be a great reason for me to come back and take photos this time again.
