7 Things You Didn't Know ChatGPT Agent Could Do

If you're just using Chat GBT like 99% of business owners, asking it questions, having it write emails, maybe generating some content, you're wasting time and the real opportunity of AI.

What most people don't realize is that Chat GBT recently rolled out agent mode that doesn't just think and write for you, it can actually do things for you. It's like the difference between having an adviser versus an actual assistant who can complete tasks on autopilot.

After testing this new feature for weeks, I'm showing you seven crazy ways to turn Chat GBT agent mode into your 24/7 business assistant that handles the $10, even $100 an hour tasks so you can focus on the $1,000 an hour decisions. And trust me, these are way more useful than the usual generic use cases that I've seen in just about every other video.

Coming up, I'm going to show you exactly what makes agent mode different from regular Chat GBT, then walk you through seven super practical ways you can use it to get more done and grow your business starting today. I'll even show you the results where I can so you can see exactly what agent mode gives you back.

But first, we've got to understand what makes agent mode such a new opportunity. So, regular AI is great at thinking, researching, writing, answering questions, basically anything that involves written information. But agent mode can actually do things for you. It has its own virtual browser where it can click buttons, fill out forms, navigate websites, almost anything that you could do on a web browser yourself.

Now, you may have seen or even used simple automations with tools like Zapier before, but agents even go a step further than that. Those automations are pretty rigidly scripted with if this, then that logic. They're like Ron Burgundy, you know? They'll read exactly what's on the teleprompter, even if it says, "Go yourself, San Diego." The second something unexpected happens or deviates from the script, they completely break. "I'm in a glass case of emotion."

Agents, on the other hand, they can improvise. You give an agent a goal and it figures out its own moves to reach it. So when it hits a roadblock like a pop-up blocking what it needs to see or a form asking for information it wasn't expecting, it doesn't just stop and throw an error. It figures a way around it. It can actually think through problems and adapt just like a real human would. And that's what makes this such a game-changer for service businesses.

So let's get on to the use cases. But as we go through them, I want you to not just take each at face value of the exact thing we're doing, but also what do you have on your plate that this process could help you with? In other words, these seven uses can be remixed in any number of ways to take care of your to-do list, just about anything you need. And I say almost because there are two pretty big limitations on agent mode at the moment, and we'll get to those as we go in a few minutes.

Your business needs every advantage it can get because chances are you're not the only choice your customers have, right? There are two major ways to get the upper hand here. First, you need to know exactly what your competitors are doing right so that you can do it, too. And what they're doing wrong, so you can not only avoid those mistakes, but actively talk in your messaging about how you don't do that thing that everyone's complaining about.

The second advantage is knowing exactly what it's like from the customer side. Not just their problems and their dream outcomes, but how do they describe these things in their own words? This matters because when you can mirror their exact language in your website, socials, and emails, they immediately feel seen and understood. Plus, what have they already tried that didn't work? Right? You can call this out specifically and explain why it wasn't their fault. What's their decision-making process before buying? Agent mode can uncover all of this in a single prompt.

Now, here's how to set it up. So, tell the agent as much as you can about your business. And if you've been using Chat GBT for a while, it probably already knows a lot since it remembers context. Now, then tell it you want research on two areas: your competition and your customers. For competition, have it find what they're offering, you know, specific features and benefits, their unique selling points, pricing, even market share if that's findable.

But here's where it gets really valuable. So, for customers, tell it to scrape forums like Reddit, Quora, and review sites that are relevant to your niche. You want actual verbatim quotes from real people. How do they describe their own problems or their dream outcomes? What do they complain about the most when dealing with businesses like yours? But also what do they rave about when they're happy? What actually delights them?

Now, to make this actionable, have the agent put the top customer complaints into a pie chart so you can instantly see the biggest problems in your industry. Then get all that customer language organized into a downloadable spreadsheet by categories: problems, desires, complaints, praise, so that you can reference it whenever you're creating new content. Those complaints, they are gold. They show you exactly what you should do differently. You know, if everyone's complaining that contractors never show up on time and you're always punctual, that becomes a core selling point. Make it crystal clear that you don't do business like that and you're going to be miles ahead of competitors who don't even realize that it's an issue.

As for the customer phrasing, you know, use those exact words everywhere. When someone reads your website and sees their own words reflected back at them, their brain goes, "Finally, someone who gets it." That instant connection is what turns visitors into clients.

Okay, so I wanted to test the limits of what agent mode can really do. And I discovered here what might be the ultimate cheat code for anyone running a solo business. Thing is, when you're a solopreneur, you're basically operating inside of an echo chamber, right? There's nobody around you to challenge you or tell you when you're about to waste six months of your time on a terrible idea.

So, I had this thought: What if I could assemble a dream team of business mentors using just one AI prompt? And the kind of deep research that only agent mode can do is what really makes this work. So, you could base this off of your top five to ten business books or on real business legends that you look up to. For instance, you could put together a virtual board of directors made up of people like Alex Hormozi, Mark Cuban, Seth Godin, Sara Blakely, and Robert Kiyosaki.

So, I gave agent mode a simple yet massive job. Dig deep into everything that these five entrepreneurs have ever said, written, or taught. Capture their decision-making frameworks, their go-to strategies, how they approach problems, and their signature advice patterns. Then compile it all into really comprehensive, you know, 20 to 50-page text document profiles for each person, formatted specifically so AI can channel their unique perspectives.

So, in under a half hour, I had five incredibly detailed mentor profiles complete with implementation instructions for creating a functional advisory board. So, I loaded everything into a custom GPT and called it my board. Now, whenever I hit a roadblock or face a tough call, I can pitch it to my virtual advisory board. And this works way better now than it would have before. Now that Chat GBT has dialed down its tendency to just, you know, kind of pat you on the head for every half-baked idea you had. Now, you're going to get actual genuine criticism. It'll poke holes in your logic or challenge your assumptions and basically force you to defend your position. It's exactly the kind of tough love that every solo founder desperately needs but rarely gets.

I'm constantly getting emails from these PR companies wanting to match me with podcasts that I could go on as a guest to build a bigger audience. And honestly, podcast guesting is a great marketing play, especially if you're an expert in your field. But I think those kinds of agencies' days are numbered because this is the exact kind of thing that an agent can now do for you for free.

Here's how to set this one up. So, start by telling the agent about your business and more importantly, your specific area of expertise. Then give it your goal, which is to appear on as many relevant podcasts as possible this year as a guest. Tell it to research podcasts whose audiences would be the closest to your ideal customers. Now, you need to be smart about this. If I were doing it, I'd have the agent only return results that meet certain specific criteria. You know, first, they need to actually talk about your topic. Second, they need to still be active. You know, no point reaching out to dead shows. Third, they regularly have guests on. You know, some podcasts are just solo shows. You wouldn't want to pitch to them. And finally, you probably want to qualify each one to make sure it just has enough listenership to be worth your time. I might say look for signals that suggest that at least a thousand people regularly listen, but you know, adjust that number based on your own goals.

So, the kind of research it's going to do here is definitely something that only an agent could do between, you know, going to the different websites it has to visit. But here's where it gets even agent-ier. Tell it you want it to put all those shows into a spreadsheet, you know, and I would tell it to include the podcast name, estimated listeners per episode, host names, contact email, and this is key: a few suggested topic gaps that you could cover. And that means the agent's actually going to analyze what topics each show is already covered and then identify what's missing that you could bring to the table.

And the really cool thing is it can do this, or anything, on a predefined schedule for you too. So, agent mode can run the same action for you either daily, weekly, monthly, whatever you choose. All you need to do is wait for it to finish the first time, then click the clock icon and choose your timing. So, think of what kinds of things you could have timed on a daily or weekly basis to help you in your business.

But before you do that, I do have to tell you a pretty big agent mode limitation. If you're on the Plus plan, which is the lowest plan that actually allows you to use agent mode, you're limited to only 40 agent tasks per month. So, I definitely wouldn't run something like this daily unless it's the only thing that you're planning to use it for. On the Pro plan, which is $200 a month, pretty pricey, you get 400 tasks. So, think about what other routine tasks like this that you could put an agent on and decide if it might be worth upgrading.

Now, while we're on the subject of putting yourself out there for better marketing, maybe you're interested in starting on YouTube. But the biggest sticking point for my own students until I discovered this agentic workflow was them doing the research that was needed to figure out the best topics and titles that would actually get them views. Now, doing this used to require paid tools, hours of manual research, and a lot of, you know, intuition. But when you're new and you don't have that intuition mastered yet and you end up making a lot of videos with the wrong topics, that's a complete waste of time, right?

But an agent can actually go right to the source, YouTube itself, and do really nuanced research for you. You know, looking for what videos in your industry are doing well in search, all while balancing out the likely competition levels, making sure you get a good mix of all the different video types a small business channel needs, and coming up with the perfect titles for them. Now, you can just ask for all this in plain English, but my team and I happen to develop a crazy effective prompt that does all of this based on your business and your ideal clients. And that's only available inside of my paid program, the YouTube to Clients Academy. But for now, just let me show you the basics here of what it can do.

When you run it, the agent creates a really simple table where the first column is the overall topic based on a keyword phrase that someone's likely to type into YouTube. And the second column is a proposed title that contains that phrase, but adds a little more heat to it. You know, makes it more enticing to actually click on. Now, the key is that it's not just throwing random ideas at you. It's finding that sweet spot between what people are actually searching for and what you can realistically rank for as a small channel. And it's all super customizable depending on what you ask for.

So, if you're more advanced on YouTube and you're ready to move past just those search-based videos, you can tell it you want it to look for videos and title structures that have gone viral in your niche recently. Then have it give you ideas for your own channel based on those patterns. The real power here is that instead of guessing what might work or, you know, just copying what big channels are doing, which usually doesn't work for small channels, you're getting more data-driven topics that match your expertise with what people actually want to watch. And this is all just hand-delivered to you in about 20 minutes while you're literally doing anything else.

Every question a potential customer has while going through your website reduces your conversion rate. And the problem is most business owners have no idea where people are getting stuck or confused. You may think that your sales process is crystal clear, but you're too close to it. You know where everything is, what every button does, what happens next. Your customers don't. This is where agent mode becomes like a secret shopper for your website. But even better, because it can also spy on your competition.

And here's the smart way to do this. So, first, have the agent identify the top three to five businesses like yours nationwide that do the most business. Not just your local competitors. We're talking about the big players who have figured out how to convert visitors into customers at scale. These are the companies that have probably spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on conversion optimization. And you're about to learn from all their testing for free.

So, tell the agent to analyze their funnels first. How do they structure their sales process? What information do they present and in what order? How many steps are in their checkout? You know, what kind of forms do they use? Then the agent will map out exactly what the best in your industry are doing. Then have it run through your entire sales funnel, simulating that complete user journey. You know, start from the homepage. Try to understand what you offer. Find the pricing, go through the checkout or contact process, whatever your funnel looks like.

But now, it's not just identifying problems. It's comparing you directly to those top performers. And the agent might see that all the top players have their pricing clearly visible with one click, while yours it's buried three pages deep. Maybe they all have live chat or payment plans or video demos. What makes this powerful is the agent actually clicks through these funnels like a real person, both yours and theirs. You know, it experiences them in real time, seeing exactly where those friction points are and what the smooth experiences feel like. And you get back a full comparison report where every difference is a potential opportunity. These aren't just random best practices. These are proven elements that the top players have tested and kept because they work. And have the agent prioritize these findings from quick wins to bigger strategic changes. So, when you fix the gaps between you and the guys that just figured out how to make buying easier, you're going to stop losing customers to them.

You're running a business. Maybe it's doing okay. Maybe it's doing great, but you're stuck on what to do next to make more money. This is where agent mode can help you figure out your next move. Just for example, let's say you're a local service business and you've basically maxed out what you can make in your own town. You're booked solid, but you can't clone yourself. Maybe you've thought about YouTube to reach more people, but you don't just want more local clients. You want to make money from people all over the country. And even if this isn't your situation, keep watching because what I'm about to show you works for any business that just wants to make money in new ways.

So, here's what you do. Just tell the agent about your current business, what you do, who you help, how you make your money right now. Then, tell it you want creative ideas for making money in new ways beyond what you're already doing. Have it break down the suggestions into different buckets. First, products you could just recommend and get paid out for. You know, we call this affiliate sales. Like if you're a fitness trainer, maybe you recommend certain equipment or supplements and then you get a cut when people buy it. Or if you're a web designer, maybe you recommend the hosting service you use. And this is really easy money because you're probably already going to be talking about this stuff anyway.

Second bucket: things you could do remotely for people anywhere. You know, maybe hour-long consulting calls or creating a plan that they carry out themselves or reviewing their work and giving feedback. This lets you use what you know without having to physically be there.

Third: stuff that you could create once and sell over and over, like templates that people can buy and use or a video course teaching what you know, or it can just be as simple as guides and worksheets. You know, the agent's going to look at what you're good at. Then it'll go out and look at what other people are offering, how well they seem to be selling, what affiliate offers offer the best payouts, all that kind of stuff. And then it's going to suggest things that people would actually pay you for. I would tell it you want ideas at different price levels. Everything from a $27 download all the way up to a $5,000 personal coaching package. This way, customers can buy from you whether they have a little money to spend or a lot.

And here's another cool bonus use case. Um, the agent can actually put all this info, or pretty much any info you want, into a PowerPoint presentation for you. Just tell it you want the results as slides and it's going to create a whole presentation showing each way to make money, how to do it, even rough math on how much you could make. You can preview the presentation right there in Chat GBT. You can even download an actual PowerPoint file you can edit. So, if you ever need a presentation fast, this can do it on pretty much anything you tell it to with as much or as little information as you want to give it.

Okay, this one's a huge time-saver that really shows exactly what agents can do. So, let's say you need to make a hire, right? Maybe it's someone to help you five hours a week or maybe it's a full-time employee. Now, I'm not saying that your Chat GBT agent could or even should actually make the hire for you, but it can at least find you the best candidates so you're choosing from the cream of the crop instead of wasting days, you know, looking through hundreds of applications. As someone who's made my share of hires over the years, I can tell you it's not a fun job. But your agent can at least do the heavy lifting for you.

So, let me show you what I mean with a real example. Let's say that I'm looking for someone to design YouTube thumbnails in a really specific style. Maybe I want them to look the way Ali Abdaal does his. So, I'd tell the agent to just go to Upwork and find me ten thumbnail designers who have work that shows that they could probably nail that style. And I might say, "I want to pay no more than $50 a thumbnail." Now, depending on what job you're hiring for, you might have way more things to specify and consider. So, just be as detailed as you can. Tell it exactly what skills they need, what experience matters, what your budget is, even what personality traits would be good, if that matters for the role.

And here's what I'd ask the agent to give me back: A spreadsheet showing each person's name, what they charge, a direct link to their Upwork profile. And here's where it gets interesting. I also want it to include an actual work sample of theirs that looks the closest to what I asked for. So, if I said I want Ali Abdaal style thumbnails, it should try to pick out their work that looks the closest to that. Even if you don't need any kind of images in your workflow, this should show you though that the agent can actually make judgment calls while it's doing its research, even on images, not just on written text.

Now, here's how it actually works. So, the agent runs on its own virtual web browser, not on your computer, which means it's not going to be logged into your Upwork account on that browser, which brings us to one of agent mode's biggest limitations. Not all websites allow AI bots in. Upwork happens to allow it at this point, though things are always changing. And I do really think that in time, as the purpose of the internet shifts from people browsing to AI doing a lot of that for us, I don't think this will be an issue anymore. At that point, websites will just expect that kind of traffic and cater to it.

So, as it's working here, it's going to reach a point where it stops and lets you know that you need to log in for it to keep going. So, you can quickly take over, log in, click finish, and then it goes to work. So, what might take you days of searching and comparing, the agent does in about 20 to 30 minutes. And here's what you could get back: Not just a list of names, but actual qualified candidates with examples of their work that matches what you want.

And that's just the beginning here. You could have it write the perfect job post, post it, then shortlist candidates as they come in based on how well they fit what you're looking for. It could theoretically even actually respond to candidates and then schedule the interviews if you wanted it to. And there's way more that agent mode can do along with the latest updates from Chat GBT 5. And I want to show you nine more use cases that most businesses are completely sleeping on. So, click right here to see what's possible. Once you add even one or two of these to your business, you're going to be shocked how much more you're able to do and how much more money you're going to be able to make. So, click here and let's keep going.
