I just put Lovable Against Cursor in a battle royale using Chad GPT5's new model. We're going to be test driving it and we're going to be recreating Twitch. Here are the results and I'm going to show you the build step by step. Let's jump right into it.

I'm not going to waste any more time. I'm actually stunned at the results. I'm not interested in benchmarks, stats, visuals. I want to actually code stuff. So, today we're going to be open up Cursor. We're going to be starting a new project and we're going to actually bang out a real website. So, let's do it right here.

We're going to go Marson and then hit open. Then the way you get access to it is see now it's 03 mini. So you hit edit. Then you switch this GPT5 right there. And then you want to hit max mode. I just been doing the max mode. So now we are selected. There it is. So model max mode. Everything is set up. So now let's start cooking up a project.

So I want you to set up a next.js JS blank project with shatd UX UX. All right, so blank project is done. Let's take a look at it really quick. This is the best way to do it if you guys haven't done it this way. You probably see this a thousand times, but I'll just show it to you really quick. So, we made a web folder. So, make sure you're in the right directory. Sometimes if it doesn't work, you see there's a web directory right here. And then we're just going to go npm rundev. Let's make sure we have the blank project set up. And there it is. Okay, perfect. So now we have a blank project. So now we can start cooking it up. Let's see what GPT5 can do.

So for today's clone, we are going to be tackling Twitch. I've always wanted to make this website for gaming, and that's what we're going to do today. So I'm going to recreate this whole website for live streaming using GPT5. So let's take twitch.tv. Let's go back into cursor. And here's what I'm going to say. So I'm going to keep it very simple. I'm not going to give it too much information. I just want to see what the possibilities and power of GPT5 is.

We are going to be recreating the Twitch website. Paste the URL. I want you to build out the complete site from start to finish. We are going to be calling it Glitch and we're off and running. So, that's all I'm going to say. I'm not going to give it anymore. I'm not going to put a PRD together. I just want to see the reasoning behind it, how it's going to build it, if it's going to actually research the website itself, or if it's just going to go off of memory that it's already has inside of the LLM. So, this would be kind of like a two-part test. One is, can it actually go in and scrape info and get it? And then two is how well can it actually recreate it. So, let's see what it's actually doing.

So, it's creating a scaffolding for our app, AI components, UI components, all of the layouts because I know I can go in, I can write out a whole PRD and the whole game plan, but what I keep hearing people say is just let GPT5 get to work, make a plan on its own, and then see what it actually creates. So, that's what we're going to be testing here today.

All right, you know, since we're here, why don't we go to Lovable? We're going to audible this right here, this video. So, we're going to go to Lovable. They had just gave access to GPT5. So, let's select it. Let's go back in. Let's get the same exact prompt. And let's see what lovable can do because I am not impressed. Complete site from start to finish. Use chat and UX UI. And then also, let's give it all the the bells and whistles as we mentioned. Okay, here it is. Let's put that. And then let's drop in our images. Let's see how it does. I have a feeling that this is actually going to be much better, but we might as well try it.

So, it's officially a cursor versus lovable challenge using chat GPT5 and the same prompt. All right, so Lovable is off and running, and I have a feeling this thing is going to be way better, but you never know. Superb base that's already set up, live streaming, real-time chat, follow systems, Twitch reference. Okay, so it did actually go to the reference. So, let's take a look at what we got. This is one shot. Very simple prompt. Let's see what it created. I'm not impressed, but again, I didn't really give it too much. So, the main thing is the the scaffolding, the foundation.

So, let's go to our reliable dribble. And now, we're going to give it the the magic. So, let's do video platform. If you guys aren't familiar with dribble with the triple B's, let's let's find something really nice and give it the actual old look. So, let's take this guy as inspiration and then go back into cursor, drop that image in. Now, let's see how it does with design. So, I'm just going to drop that in there and say this.

I want you to completely overhaul the design of this website. Use this image as inspiration, motivation. I want you to use all the themes, the colors, the spacing, the animations, the rollovers, the buttons, the shadows, anything else you see in this image. I want you to try to recreate this as close as you possibly can for our website. Period. Also, add a bunch of gaming image placeholders for all the videos. I want a completed site, not some halfbaked project. Again, pretty generic. I'm not saying anything specific. I'm saying it just make it look nicer. That's pretty much what I'm saying. So, let's see how it does with that prompt.

And by the way, this is not how you should ever build a project. But what we're trying to do now is seeing the power of GPT5 and what it can actually do for us with very little prompting. I know I can give it a full PRD and a game plan, a road map, everything with all of the different screens. You know, I've done that in Sonnet 3.5. I've done that in 40. So, that wouldn't be impressive to me. What would be impressive to me is just giving it the most basic prompts for people that don't know how to vibe code and seeing if they can actually pull off some pretty nice looking UIUX. And big shout out to Dimmitri right here for some nice designs. I'll definitely be reaching out because your stuff is really good and it would be nice to do a full project with this. So, big shout out to uh to Demetri. you guys go check him out.

All right, so here's our version two. I mean, it changed a few fonts, added a few colors. It still kind of looks boring. Let's click into it. Yeah, this page looks boring. All right, so let's go back in here. So, now let's actually get a player. Let's just take a random one of these. And then let's do the same thing. Yeah, so far not impressed with the UI at all.

Next, I want you to create the video details page. Use this as inspiration. Try to get it as close as you can to this design. Also, if you notice, it didn't put any placeholder images as I asked. So, another kind of no. It didn't really do exactly what I said. Yeah, right now this is very underwhelming from what I've seen with other tools, with other models. Yeah, still super basic. There's still no placeholders. It didn't really do anything. Man, this is kind of This is kind of garbage. So, let's see what cursor just finished. It's not done yet, actually. Okay. Okay. And voila, it did absolutely nothing. Damn. This is a massive failure. I could have built the site in five minutes without GPT5. I think we should start calling it GPT.5 at this stage.

All right, let's see what Lovable does. But I mean, I'm pretty much done with this. I mean, I told it to put placehold images. It didn't It couldn't even do that. All right, let's take a look at Lovable's V1. This is one prompt. Holy GPT5 for the win inside Lovable. Gets the hell out of here. See, this is what I'm talking about. Damn. What would you rather visit? This or this. Oh, man. It's not even fair. All right, lovable. You guys got my attention. That was one prompt. No errors.

Next, I want you to build out the actual video details page. Wow. Okay, there we go. See, now we're talking. This is definitely a little bit better. That's a freaking understatement. But yeah, lovable for the win so far. So, I don't know what else I need to do. I think this takes the cake. I mean, look at this details page. This is ridiculous with the embedded video. It all works. It looks super clean. I could get excited for this. And this Oh, internal server error. It's just a But this right here, I mean, oh, another error. Yep. All right. Anyways, I think I'm done. Lovable for the win. absolutely smashed this little GPT5 test. The crazy part is same prompt and it was able to just do this. It obviously uses vite plus shot and cursor used next.js, but I built some really beautiful looking stuff in next.js. So maybe I should have done vite also in cursor. I don't even know. But the point is lovable smashed. So I do have a lot of hope for GPT5. But definitely in cursor it was a total disaster as you've seen in the video. Hope you guys enjoyed that.

Uh just one quick thing I want to announce for you guys. If you guys are new to the channel, we are launching the 21day AI boot camp where we help you pick an idea, build it, launch it. You can join the weight list. We have over 690 people right now and we launch in 8 days. So the point of this is we're going to be actually going through the whole process from start to finish. So you could actually launch your own businesses and not just glorify demos like we're building here. We're going to actually launch full products idea build vibe code launch. So yeah, I'd love to see you guys in there and uh we can't wait to be actually live getting people through the whole process. We've been creating curriculum and now I have to add a bunch more videos because GPT5 has come out. We're going to use Lovable, we're going to use Cursor, we're going to use all the other tools. We're going to do iOS, React Native, Google Play Store, and everything else you can imagine. So hope to see you guys in there and I'll hope to see you in the next video. Peace.
