Google forms versus Jorge form: which one is the best option for you? That's the question I'm going to help you answer in this video. I'm going to compare these two tools side by side. I will talk about pricing, main features, resources, and all that you need to know so you can make a decision. So stick to the end of the video to find out which one is the best for you.
Hi, I'm Kyo Kar from automationhelpers.com. We help companies like yours get automated and grow by using industry-leading tools to build portals, apps, and integrations. Subscribe to the channel if you want to leverage automation to help your business scale and grow. Deciding which tool to use can be a time-consuming task. The reality is each tool has some pros and cons and a lot of differences, but don't worry, my friend, because I'm here to help you. So let's get started.
First, I'm going to introduce you to both tools. Google forms is a very straightforward, simple-to-use web-based form builder created by Google. Since it's very popular—because, of course, we are talking about Google forms—you may be already familiar with it, but you can be thinking, "What type of forms can you build with Google forms?" Well, basic and simple forms—that's the answer. Google forms is ideal for creating simple surveys, quizzes, and feedback forms. It is great for educators, small businesses, and individuals as well. I'll be honest; basically, anyone can use Google forms, especially those who already use the Google Workspace. If you have a Gmail account—yes, that means you—most people choose Google forms because it's simple and free. So you can use it to create things like event feedback forms, customer satisfaction surveys, job applications, and simple order forms, and basically any form you need to collect information on the web.
Now let's talk a little bit about Jge form. Are you familiar with this tool? Let me know in the comment section. Jge form is a powerful, no-code online form builder with more advanced capabilities. If we compare it to Google forms, for instance, with Jge form you can not only create forms but create little apps if you need to. It is great for businesses of all sizes, from startups to large corporations, marketers, and individuals needing from a simple form to robust form solutions, and of course, all that comes with a price tag. You can use Jge form to build registration forms, lead generation forms, and order forms with payment features. You can also leverage existing integrations to transfer your data to a third-party app. Are we talking about integrations? Yes. If you're looking for more flexibility and customization, this tool might be a great fit for you.
Now that we've introduced both tools, let's start by comparing them side by side. First, let's talk about pricing. Google forms, like I've mentioned, is free for individuals, but if you use it on the business plan, it will cost you around $12 per user per month on an annual subscription, of course. You get access to all the Google Workspace products as well, so you're not just paying for Google forms itself. This is interesting because, for businesses, Google Forms is not actually 100% free. If you think on the other hand, you are paying for the Google Workspace account, so you get a lot of extra benefits compared to the free version. So, at the end of the day, this investment might be worth it.
Now let's talk about Jge form. Jge form offers a free plan, but it has a few limitations: you can create up to five forms only; one user per team is allowed; your forms can get up to 100 answers per month and 1K views; the Jge form branding can't be removed from your forms, so it will display their logo in some specific areas. They have a paid plan, of course, that starts at $34 a month, offering up to 25 forms, 1K monthly submissions, and 10K form views and actions. The paid plans also offer more storage space, the ability to remove their branding from your forms, and basically, the idea here is very simple: the more you pay, the more form submissions and resources you get, so the more you need, the higher the plan will be. Another reason to upgrade apart from form submissions is if you need a HIPAA-compliant form. If your company belongs to the healthcare space, you can choose either the Gold or Enterprise plan to get HIPAA-compliant forms, starting at $99 a month. If you need even more resources, you need to add team members to your account or have access to other features like single sign-on, custom branding, and custom domain as well. And if you want unlimited form submissions and unlimited form creation as well, you need to reach out to their team to get a custom quote for an Enterprise plan.

Moving on to the next category, which is design and customization. Google forms, in terms of design, is very simple. It offers basic themes and limited customization options such as colors, fonts, and the main image banner you can use to add photos or images, but that's it. The idea here is simple design suitable for most use cases and straightforward forms; not a lot of fancy customization is allowed here. So, in my humble opinion, the only downside of using Google forms is that it will always look like Google forms. You can customize it, yes, but it's still Google forms. Now, if you're asking, "Can I customize the HTML and CSS to make it look different?" The answer is no. You can basically organize your forms with pages and sections if you wish to customize it a little bit more. A good thing is it's mobile-friendly by default, and it just works on mobile devices; you don't have to do anything about it, and it comes with basic functionality, building, and it's simple and efficient.
Now, Jge form, on the other hand, is highly customizable with a wide range of design options, themes, and CSS access for advanced users. It will allow you to fully customize your forms to match your unique brand style. There are two form layout styles that they provide: the classic and the card one, that is very similar to Typeform, if you know it. Once you select the type of layout you want to use, you can customize it; you can change the pages, you can add new, remove; you can change colors; you can select specific components and change how they look; and you can also pick existing available themes, and you can also change specific themes to match your specific brand style. So, in summary, it's very flexible. Now, if design and customization is your main priority, then I would recommend you watch this other video here where I compared Typeform and Google forms, so you can also compare other options that can offer a great design experience for your forms. So make sure to watch this video as well.
Now, since we are talking about design and customization, let's talk about embedding options. Google forms is very easy to embed; you can add it to your website; you can share it with anyone, really, but it's very limited in terms of customization. There is an option available you can use to send an email message with the form link to anyone, and if you want to, you can also add the form to your email body straight from the Google forms interface. Just fill out the information there, click Send, and you're good to go. You can also copy a full or short link to be able to share it anywhere. There are also some options available for you to share your form link on social media as well. To embed your form on a website, you can simply copy the HTML iframe code that is provided, and you'll be good to go—very simple and easy to use.
Now, Jge form will offer you a bunch of options to share your form. You can share it via direct link or even send invites via email directly from the platform. You can also share your forms on social networks, get a QR code, and even create a little app with your custom form inside it, so it's very customizable. There are many options to embed your forms; you can simply copy and paste the code to your website and display the form, or you can also choose to add it in different ways, choosing options like feedback button, popup, or lightbox. And if that's not enough, Jge Form also offers integrations with multiple platforms. I'm sure you're going to find a way that best suits your needs.
Okay, now let's talk about templates. Templates are not Google forms' forte; they are really just about 20 options available for a few use cases separated by categories. It can be helpful if you find one that fits your specific needs, but yeah, you won't find a lot of templates available here; that's just the reality. On the other hand, templates and themes are widely available for Jge forms. There are thousands of options to choose from, and it will really help you save a bunch of time. There are templates for different layout styles, for apps, for tables, documents, and much more. I really recommend you go and spend some time on the website, go to the templates page, and check what's available.
Now, the best category, I would say, is automations and integrations, and yes, we love this category, so let's jump right in. Using Google forms for integrations and automations is very convenient because if you are already using the Google Workspace platform, the Google ecosystem, this may already be familiar to you. So why not? If you need something a little bit more custom, you can create custom automations via Google Apps Script by writing your own functions, and you can also use and search plugins available on the Google Marketplace or add-ons that interact with Google forms as well. If you're looking for more automation options, you can also use third-party automation tools like Zapier, Make, or Pipedream as well, allowing you to create more powerful and sophisticated automations and integrations with various third-party platforms.
When we talk about Jge forms, there are a lot of integrations available. Jge form is very well connected by default. There are more than 100 pre-built integrations with major services like Airtable, Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, and many more, and of course, you can also use Zapier, Make, or Pipedream to connect it to even more services if needed. They also offer a built-in logic and workflows section where you can create internal automations using your existing forms. You can connect it to your existing data in apps and even third-party applications as well. And, by the way, Jge forms can also send SMS messages if needed—that's a plus. So if you need to build automations and you need integrations with Jge form, they got you covered.
Now, my friend, if you are enjoying this video so far, click the like button down below; that makes a huge difference for us. Now let's talk about key features. Google forms offers basic form creation with question branching and response validation. It offers also similar integrations with Google Sheets for data storage and analysis, like I've mentioned. Now, when we talk about Jge forms, it offers a wide range of elements you can use to build forms, from simple types of fields you would expect in a form builder to some that are unique to the tool, like signature slides, product lists, and a lot of widgets that you can use to take it to the next level.
Now, in terms of payments, there is no option available for collecting payments while you're using Google forms, at least not by default. Jge Forms offers direct payment collection via integrations with popular payment gateways like Stripe, PayPal, Square, and really a lot more. They even have some specific gateways that only work on specific countries, so that's a great thing because if you're looking for a specific payment method that is not available on all tools, maybe this option will allow you to use it, which is a great thing because it gives you a lot of options to choose from.
Now, custom domains are not available or supported for Google forms, but Jge forms allows you to use a custom domain, but only on the Enterprise plan. Now let's talk about team collaboration. Google Forms offers a very simple collaboration feature that basically can allow you to work in real time with anyone on your team that is in the same Google Workspace, like you do when you work on Google Docs, for instance. Now, Jge Form offers team workspaces and collaboration features, including real-time editing and task assignments, but pay attention because you will need an Enterprise plan for team collaboration features to be available.
Now let's talk about workflows, logic, and conditionals. Google Forms offers a very simple conditional logic feature that allows you to create branching paths in your form based on a respondent's answer; they are going to be directed to a different section or a different question. In terms of logic and workflows, Google forms itself does not have built-in workflow automation; however, you can integrate it with tools like Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, and other third-party platforms like Zapier or Make to create more complex workflows.
Now, Jge forms also offers conditional logic, but it's way more advanced than Google forms. It allows you to show or hide questions, fields, or entire sections based on a respondent's answer. Jge form has also a built-in workflow automator that allows you to create automated workflows without needing third-party tools. It also offers a lot of integrations out of the box. The workflow section also offers a lot of logic elements like if/else conditions, branches, and widgets that can help you take your forms to the next level.
When we talk about hidden fields, variables, and calculations, Google forms does not natively support hidden fields or variables, and there are no built-in calculation fields available. Prefilling your form is possible if you share it with a link with pre-selected answers, and again, Google forms is very basic and does not offer fancy features. Now, Jge forms has a bunch of features; hidden fields are available and allow you to collect data without displaying it to the respondent. Jge form supports variables which can store and manipulate data during form submissions as well. Built-in calculation fields are available and allow you to perform mathematical operations on form data, and you can also prefill form fields using URL parameters or saved data, which can be super handy in some use cases, especially for marketing teams.
Now let's talk about security. Google forms is very secure; it uses HTTPS SSL encryption to transfer data; it also provides access control, so you can control who can view, edit, or submit forms. Google forms includes built-in spam detection and prevention mechanisms as well, such as CAPTCHA, to reduce fraudulent submissions. And another nice thing to know is that Google does not use your form data for advertising purposes, and it complies with major global standards, including GDPR and HIPAA for healthcare data storage. And if you want to know more about security, go to their website for more information.
Now, Jge forms allow you to password-protect your forms if you need to. It also offers data encryption while submitting your form information. You can also assign different roles to your users, like admin, editor, viewer, to control access under your account. You can also set forms to be public, private, or accessible to only specific users; that gives you a little bit more control, and it's also compliant with major security and privacy standards, including GDPR and HIPAA as well, on paid plans. The rule of thumb here is simple: you own the data you collected using Jge form, and that's awesome. Jge form also offers advanced features like blocking specific email domains or IPs, and it also will display CAPTCHA and reCAPTCHA to prevent spam submissions if needed, so it's very reliable.
Now let's talk about data visualization. Google Forms offers a basic tab that will allow you to visualize all the responses; it will automatically generate pie charts for multiple-choice, checkbox, and drop-down questions. You can also visualize individual responses and see how many respondents chose each option. Overall, the visualizations for Google forms are really basic and limited to simple question types, and there's not much you can do to customize it. The good news is that Google forms automatically saves responses to a linked Google Sheet, so you can use its data analysis and visualization tools. You can also plug your Google Sheet to other tools like Data Studio and other no-code tools to share your data with people in a more dynamic and visual way.
Now, Jge forms offer a report builder tool that allows you to create custom reports and visualizations directly within the platform. It is super useful, and the cool thing is that you can choose from a variety of report templates that are ready for you; for instance, there are summary reports, trend analysis, and much more; this will save you a lot of time for sure. You can also create bar charts, pie charts, line graphs, and more. You can filter and group data to analyze specific subsets, and the cool part is your reports will be automatically updated as new responses are submitted—how cool is that? Jge form also offers built-in tables, which is similar to how Google spreadsheets look like. This internal tool integrates with your forms to help you organize, analyze, and visualize your data, so you can view and manage form responses in a table format as well, and you can create visualizations directly within Jge form tables. And if you need to, you can also share your existing tables with your team members for collaborative analysis. And if that's not enough, you can also integrate your tables with third-party tools like Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and also other more advanced analytic tools as well.
Now, tell me what's your opinion so far? Let me know in the comment section, and let's move on to the next category. Now let's talk about notifications. Google forms can send email notifications to form owners when a new response is submitted. Notifications are sent only to the form owner; there are no customization options for email content or recipients. Since responses are sent to Google Sheets, you can try to use custom add-ons or Google Apps Script, or you can also send messages to other emails or send information to other systems with automation tools like Zapier or Make, for instance.
Jge forms allows you to set up customizable email notifications for form submissions. You can send notifications to multiple email addresses at the same time. You can also personalize the subject lines and body text using form field values like first name, last name, etc. If you need to, you can even use SMS integrations with Twilio, for instance, or even send push notifications through the Jge form mobile forms app. And if you need a little bit of logic, you can send notifications based on specific conditions; for instance, only if a certain answer is selected. And again, here you can also leverage other integrations and automation tools to take it even further. And, by the way, we are here to help you if you need to build custom integrations or automations for your business. So if you want to know a little bit more about that, go to our website for more information; the link's down below.
Okay, now, which one is the best for you? That's the main question we are trying to answer here on this video, so let's go for the conclusion. While Google forms may be best for simple use cases, is Jge forms too much or just enough? Google forms, as we could see, is best for simple form needs, and it's a good option, especially if you are already using the Google ecosystem. It's so easy to use and easy to learn, and if you need really to build simple forms fast and without much complexity, it is just a great option that works if you are an individual or just starting a new business or a small business needing simple forms; it can get you there.
On the other hand, Jge form is ideal for more committed and serious businesses requiring advanced features, customization, and integrations, and of course, that comes with the cost. Jge form will offer logic, conditionals, workflows, reports, and analytics, and it's really more than just a simple form builder; you can create many apps if you want to and take it to the next level with automations and integrations. So it's really ideal for more complex forms and business needs and for those who need to build more complex workflows using forms.
Now, tell me which one are you going to use next? Let me know in the comment section down below.
