Studying the Gospels, Jesus, and it's talking about exorcism. And Jesus makes the comment that when a spirit leaves the body, goes and it dwells and it's looking for another body to inhabit. And then it goes and finds seven more wicked if that house is not filled. And it comes in and that and the end result is worse than the beginning.
It gives us a lot of insight to how demonic spirits work, but you need to understand these spirits are looking for voids in people's life. Spiritual vacuums in which they can fill.
And so, we have to understand in the Old Testament when it attributes this tormenting spirit to the Lord, the reason it does is because he took his spirit from Saul, creating a void that a tormenting spirit could then capitalize on.
