They make big promises on late night TV. It grills delicious food in a healthy way. You'll be saying, "Wow." Waterproof tape, but do they actually work? I bought the most hyped up as seen on TV products. To find out so you don't waste your money, let's talk about Flex Tape. Oh, you've seen these infomercials, haven't you? You've seen this guy. The super strong waterproof tape that can instantly patch, bond, seal, and repair.
So, that's what we're going to do. We have a full bucket here filled with water up to the top. This is the Flex Tape. It's very, very sticky and thick. So, I've pre-cut a piece right over here so I don't have to bore you and fiddle with it. I have a drill. This will be interesting. I'm going to cut a hole into this bucket and then see if the tape will seal it up. So, here we go. You ready? Here we go. Okay, it's going. Put it right against me. Seal it up. Seal it up full like that. I think it worked. Is it sealed? Perfectly sealed. There is no water coming out of this. This is just dripping from before. That's incredible. This thing worked. And by the way, I'm actually pretty shocked about this. I guess there's a reason this thing is still around after all these years.
It makes another claim in the infomercial, too. Watch this. Flex Tape is super strong and once it's on, it holds on tight. Okay, I've come to the gym to check this out. He used a 45lb plate. This is a 45lb plate. I have the Flex Seal tape on it. Let's see if this thing can pick it up. This is crazy. It's holding it. I'm also very impressed with myself, by the way, that I'm doing. Look at this. This is crazy. Wait, just up the ante a little bit. So, we know this works. Let's do more weight. Okay, we're going 75 lbs. 75 lbs. And the tape is holding. I'm not holding. I'm not doing okay. But the tape, no problem. This is nuts. Flex seal. Oh yeah, it's Rosson approved.
You can't do an as seen on TV product test without talking about OxyClean. Remember Billy Maze? You've seen the commercials. Watch how OxyClean unleashes the power of oxygen, making tough stains disappear like magic without fading or bleeding the colors. Okay, they say this removes all kinds of stains, including wine stains. So, I have a nice little red here and I have two Old Navy white t-shirts laying around my house. So, we're actually going to test this. We're going to pour wine on both of them, but we're only going to wash one with OxyClean. The other one we're just going to wash normally. So, just to make sure we know which one is which, I'm actually going to cut a little hole on the side of the sleeve, the one that we're doing with OxyClean. So, now we know. You see that little rip right there? Now, we know that's the OxyClean one. Let me get to work and pour some of this wine on. Here's the OxyClean one. Oh, man. Party foul. Party foul. All right. So, that's sitting like that. We'll let that sit for a second. Now, let me do this one. Okay. wine stains on that one.
Now, the commercials are a little misleading because it makes it look into commercial. He just puts it into the bowl and boom, the thing's fixed. That's not how it works. You actually have to let it soak for 1 to 6 hours, then do laundry. So, we're going to put this one aside. This is the one we're just going to wash normally. This is the one, and I can show it to you with the cut in the sleeve. So, here we go. I have my water here. They say to take a scoop of Oxyclean. So, I'm going to come in here and get a scoop and I'm going to pour it right in. Let's see if it does. Oh, it kind of did what it did in the commercial. That's really cool. The power of oxygen. Okay, so now we're going to come in and we're going to soak this in here for an hour to 6 hours. That's what it says. An hour to 6 hours. Oh, look at the water changing color. Like, you can probably see some of that wine coming out. So, we're going to let this sit. We're going to set it and then we'll put it into the wash.
Okay, it's been well over an hour and this has been sitting. This is the wine soaked shirt that we did not put the OxyClean on. So, we're going to throw that in the wash. Look at the OxyClean. And look how it's changed colors and all that. It Yeah, it does match my shirt, doesn't it? But look at this. I am actually curious. I'm going to make a mess here, but whatever. I'm actually curious if the stain is already out. Let's just take a look here. That Look at this. The stain's gone. So, it's just been soaking for over an hour in just the OxyClean. They say you have to put it into the laundry, but it took the stain out entirely. And just to show you, this is the one with the cut. There's the cut sleeve, so you know it's the OxyClean shirt. Perfect. But we'll wash it anyway and see. But that's incredible. The OxyClean has already worked. Now I'm curious if the other shirt will get the wine out, too. But so far, the OxyClean crushing it. See what happens. Crazy.
Okay, it's ready. Let's see what we got. This Let's check this one out first. Okay, this has the ripped. This has the rip. So, this is the Oxyclean shirt. And as I showed you, the stain is entirely gone. Now for the other one. Uhoh. I already see it. The stain is not out. Now it looks like duty. It It's not wine anymore. But it's it's brown. This is not You're not wearing this shirt out. Put it that way. So the Oxyclean crushed it on wine. Rosson approved.
You know this guy, Mr. Clean. And this is the product, the Magic Eraser. You've seen the infomercial. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. There's nothing else like it. You just use water. Then Mr. Clean Magic Eraser goes to work. Amazing. All right, the instructions are pretty easy. By the way, it comes with uh six Magic Erasers per box. That's kind of cool. All right, so it's pretty easy. You just wet it, which I just did, so it's a bit wet. And let's see if it comes out the scuff mark. And by the way, this is my house. And these are real scuff marks. It's gone. Look at that. Done. Wow, that's incredible. It also says it can get rid of crayon stains. So, I'm going to just for fun, let's just for fun, I'm going to draw on my house. See that? All right. Now, let's see what happens. Wow. Gone. Done. Magic Eraser. Rosson approved, baby.
This product has been around forever. The Magic Bullet Blender. And this got famous because of the infomercials promising that you can make stuff within seconds. The personal versatile countertop magician that does any job in 10 seconds or less. All right, we're going to put this to the test. And one of the reasons that people love this product is because it comes with all these accessories like this right here. You can blend with it and then it turns into a mug. They have this. You can turn this into a thermos after blending with it and serve it. And they make a really crazy claim about how fast you can make salsa. Turn tomatoes, onions, garlic, and hot peppers into zesty salsa. Garden fresh and ready to eat in less than 5 seconds.
Okay, let's see if we can do it. I've chopped up some onions, some garlic, some hot peppers, and tomatoes. You're not supposed to go past the max fill line here. So, I'm going to put in some tomatoes like this. You want it tomatoy, right? We put in the onion, the garlic, and the hot pepper. And then I'll put in some more tomatoes. Stick it down there. Put a couple more onions in there, too. We are good. We're below max fill. It says in less than 5 seconds. So, let's see. Less than 5 seconds. We are below max fill. So, we are good to go. Count with me, people. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 What? I mean, there's no reason this shouldn't be working. It's the shake weight or the magic blender. Yeah. Yeah. That's another as seen on TV product. I mean, it's just not Come on. It's just not. No, no, it doesn't work. Uh, the infomercial does say this about smoothies, though. Let's give them one more chance. Turn ice, fresh fruit, and a splash of juice into a delicious, nutritious fresh fruit smoothie or protein drink in just 8 seconds.
Guess what? I have frozen berries and orange juice. So, I filled it up and you can see it's below the max fill line. There's max fill right there. We're way beneath it. I'm going to pour in the orange juice. Get a little something to swish it around. Grab this. All right. Come on. Come on. Magic bullet. Redeem yourself. One 2 3 4 5 6 7 and 12 8 9 I mean. Let's see here. I can see everything's not blended up. I mean, some of it is, but I mean, some of it is. I just got a full blueberry. Uh, I mean, it's There's still some full a lot of full. Look at that. Full strawberry frozen still. Not Rosson approved.
The Shamwow. Hands down. One of my favorite commercials ever. You'll be saying, "Wow." Every time you use this towel, it's like a shammy. It's like a towel. It's like a sponge. A regular towel doesn't work wet. This works wet or dry. All right, if you say so. We're going to put it to the test. So, this is how it comes. You get a bunch of these. And you can cut these up, they say, into whatever size you want. You get some of these. Then, if you can see down here, they give you some big ones, too. They say you can use it as a bath mat. I guess you can use this size as a bath mat. You can use it as a paper towel, they say, as a washcloth. So, they make some crazy claims in this infomercial, like this one. Shamwow holds 20 times its weight in liquid. Doesn't drip, doesn't make a mess. Ring it out.
Okay, let's see for ourselves. So, we have a container of water right here. And you can see there's quite a bit of water in there as well. And we have the Shamwow. I'm just going to stick it in and see just like he did. He made a big deal of saying in real time the water goes away. So, I'm putting it in. Wow. I'm I can see it right here. Look on top. There's like barely any standing water anymore. I'm taking it out. There's no water left in there. Look. Do you see that? There's no water left. Look at that. Now, watch this. I'll do what he did. Look at that. Look at all the I will say this thing is much more impressive than I thought it would be. And then here's the other really cool thing. In my hands, it's already getting dry. And look, nothing is falling off of it. I mean, that's pretty incredible.
The legendary George Foreman grill. You remember those infomercials? George Foreman, the boxer himself, standing in his kitchen pushing those grills. my lean mean fat reducing grilling machine. It grills delicious food in a healthy way fast. It has really evolved ever since. And this is what we just bought. This one right here. It's the George Foreman indooroutdoor electric grill. So obviously it works indoors, too. It's safe. It's also deemed safe for apartment buildings as well. So if you have an apartment building and your landlord says no grills allowed, it's apartment approved. So here's the deal. It's a little low for my taste. You set it up like this. It took about 10 minutes to set up. All we needed was a Phillips screwdriver and that was only to put the handle on the rest of it. Really, really easy. It comes with this probe right here. And you can see this is where you control how hot it is. And the probe literally just plugs right in like that. Here's the other cool thing I like about this. So, it stands up on this if you like it. And by the way, it is a little I'm 6 feet tall. It's a little low for me. So, I wish it was a little higher. There's no way to make it go up and down. But this I like. You can take it right off this thing just as easily. And you can put it right on your countertop. And you can see how they call it non-stick. So, we're going to test that as well. They also have this thing. It's on this side right over here. I think you see this right over here. This captures all the fat. And this says that it captures 42% of the fat. So, we're going to cook some bacon, some burgers, some Franks. See what happens. It says to preheat this for 10 minutes. So, we're going to do that now and then get to cooking.
Oh, you can hear it sizzle. It's preheated. You hear that sizzle? I'll put the bacon down. Do a couple of burgers. I just want to show you also how much this can cook, right? The space. So, that's a lot of space for an indoor grill, right? Two burgers, pieces of bacon, and a couple of hot dogs. I am going to grab the top now. And you can see the kind of smoke it's kicking off, too. Not terrible for inside. So, I'm going to put this on. We're going to let this cook. See what happens.
Okay, I'm going to flip this stuff. Let me take this off. Oh, yeah. Look at all that smoke. And you can It's cooking well. And look, you can see the fat getting in here. And that's where it bleeds into the getting the fat out of here. And look, it is non-stick. Look how this is moving around nice and easily. I'm going to flip all this over. The hot dogs are cooking well. I'm really impressed how non-stick this is. They said it was non-stick, and it really is. Here are the burgers. Let me flip a burger. Yeah, look at that. Nice and juicy. All right, cover's going back. So far so good.
Okay, time for the reveal. Cover us off. Let's take some of the bacon off. Do it like that. Hot dogs coming off. And the burgers, too. Get spatula for the burgers. So, we're going to we're going to taste this in just a second. But I want to take a look at this fat tray. Safety first, folks. We're shutting this off. Good fat tray. Oh, yeah. Look at all that fat. That's all the fat that it captured. And there's still some on here, but fully non-stick. So far, I'm loving this. Assuming the food tastes good, and I'm a good griller, so it will. But I like it. Okay, we're ready. Here's the hot dog. I'll cut into this for you right here. I've already made myself a burger. Looks good. Perfect. Warm in the center. Great. Here's the burger. Let me cut this for you so you can see. Look at that. Perfect. Oh yeah. So good. cooked beautifully, evenly. And now to top off my heart attack, crispy great. Rosson approved.
The Snuggie. Oh, the famous Snuggie. Like most men, I've secretly wanted to try this, but never had the guts to. So now I'm going to do it on video, especially after seeing this commercial. If you want to stay warm and cuddly, then you need to put on a Snuggie. It's the blanket with sleeves that keeps you totally warm while your hands stay free. That's right. So this is it. the Snuggie one sizefits-all. This is what all the hubbub's about. Uh it's really really nice material. I will say that. But you It's weird. You wear it like a hospital gown, right? So you put your arms through like that and you do that and then you know the pockets are here and this thing comes like this. So this is the Snuggie. Um you look very uncomfortable. I don't like it because look at the back. It's wide open. It feels weird. Like I like when I'm wearing a bathrobe to feel enclosed a little bit. You know what I mean? Why not just wear a robe like a regular bathrobe? I don't like that. Also, if you're not wearing clothes, you're exposing yourself. That's true. So, you don't want to do that. And look, when you walk, you can like get tripped up and stuff because your feet are under this thing. I don't know. I don't I don't like it. It's comfy, but I'm not I'm not a fan of the Snuggie. In the commercial, the guy's dancing with it. I'm like a lane on Seinfeld like Yeah. I don't I'm not It's comfy, but I don't I don't like the open back.
