It is my obligation not to be part of the general population, but to remove myself as much as I can and spend more time with God than I spend with people. So that I can hear the word of the LORD AND BRING THE WORD of the Lord to the people. That's my job.
That's the job of all preachers and when that doesn't happen, well, here you you see God dealing with priests and prophets and preachers that that left their place of duty, that forgot their calling. Here's what God says, they commit adultery and walk in lies. They also strengthen the hands of evildoers so that no one turns back from his wickedness.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT that means? IT MEANS WHEN PREACHERS DON'T TELL PEOPLE WHAT GOD WANTS, YOU HELP PEOPLE IN their sins. Unless you THROW UP A STOP SIGN, unless conviction reigns, UNLESS YOU PREACH WHAT GOD SAYS, HE SAYS, you're only helping people to sin more.
And when you do that, he says, ALL OF THEM ARE LIKE SODOM to me and her inhabitants like Gomorrah. He goes on to say, these worthless preachers make you worthless. They speak a vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the Lord. They continually say to those who despise me, the Lord has said, you shall have peace. See, peace and safety. You're fine and to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say, no evil shall come upon you.
Meaning, people can live in sin and the preacher will say, it's it'll be all right. God understands. He realizes that you have genetic problems. Your mama was this way. Your grand your ancestors were this way. It runs in your blood. It's just who you are. It's okay. No evil shall come upon you.
In the latter days, you will understand it perfectly. These are the last days. In the last days, you'll know what I'm talking about. You will see that I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel and had caused my people to hear my words, they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doing.
Do you see what preaching is, brothers and sisters? I am not here to make everybody feel better. I am here to give you instructions in righteousness and tell you what thus saith the Lord. I KNOW PEOPLE AREN'T USED to that and they start looking for a church where things feel better. BUT FEELING BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF won't take you TO HEAVEN. ONLY A LIFE WORTHY of God guarantees that you will spend eternity with him.
