Good evening guys. I hope you're doing well and staying safely, all this virus going around. And I wish I could present from you, but you know, circumstances don't let me. But so, but it is my absolute pleasure to present to you today my demonstration speech in my neurons.
Well, let me go. Let me ask you a question. How many times do you go home from the grocery store and find yourself with broken eggs or shattered, shattered eggs, or broken bread, and or your groceries just slung all around and half like somebody didn't even care when they were bagging them? Let me guess, if the answer is way too many times, and you'd like to count. Well, my name is Logan Edmonds. I work at Publix in Guthrie, Alabama, and we at Publix are specifically trained to effectively bag groceries in a timely and organized manner because we like to consider customers' time because they are shopping at Publix, where shopping is a pleasure.
So, my objective today is to bag two different types of back grocery bags for you today so you can understand how we bag groceries and how much that we care for you. And hey, maybe one of the advantages is for you to know how to buy groceries so if you ever have to, you can know how to properly bag groceries and take care of the person you're vacuuming for.
So, all right, let me tell you a little bit about the history first before we start. The the plastic bag was was made in in 1960 and of you. It was later implemented into public stores. However, Publix did was not created or started until 1930, in which they used paper bags to bagger their groceries and which they are continuing to do so today. But the reason about however was created in 2001 in a response program to the growing pollution in the world with plastic bags and our oceans and our environment. Publix one integrated of another way to let the world and customers know that we're pro pro-life and pro-economy and just pro hower our world was going to be. So they just created a bag to just let customers have it and whatnot.
So, by the way, the reusable bag is a lot better than plastic bags. There are more firm and they can hold more items. Their easel bag can hold 20 items, twice as much as a plastic valium, which I'm going to be bagging ten items into the plastic bag.
So, all right, let's just hop into the backing process and let you know how we do it. So, step one and how you back in the plastic bag, you want to build the walls around the plastic bag. So you do that using boxes and canned goods. So let's just start putting pasta. Let's do some heavy tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes. And we got your camp. You want to keep bagging it and want to keep your time fast so you don't have the customer waiting on you. All right, so we got some light items left. So, step two, slow those line items up. Keep them where they won't be crushed. We got some rain in a ramen noodles, whatever you say. All right, now we got some cookies. So you want to be careful to have it cookies are place and marshmallows. I've set those marshmallows to count on the top so you don't country check the way.
Make sure it's for step three. Check the way to make sure it's not cracked or or not you're having some heavenly person penguin. All right, let's see how I can teach you how to value the reisel about it. Same process. What you do, you make you take boxes and then a can use to build the base around the walls. All right, let's do this. Add your water phenol water. All right, now don't come Rob me. I got some Kleenexes for the coronavirus, okay? All right, so now I kinda have a flat surface. So now what I do is I take my light other items and Logan, I think your solicitous low these guys use a toothbrush and toothpaste glide items. Look it up. All right, so now what you want to do is you want to take your produce ons. You want to keep credits together. So you take your produce, your carrots, and you let put the orange apple on top of those. Now we got really loud items such as these things, big bones, okay? You got some ramen noodles again, and you got three bugs such as bread, chips, and milkshake. Set those on top, don't and being crushed. So there are your two regional bags. Now I mean, one reason bag in one plastic bag. I've showed you how to go to two different types of bags and groceries. That was my whole objective is to show you how to bag groceries in an effective and timely manner.
So hopefully, hopefully, I believe after this video, you can learn how to bag groceries properly and so you can be prepared the next time you come to the grocery store. And hey, we just want you to know how much we really care for you. We really do. We just want to take care of yourself and all your groceries and whatnot.
