And our first testimony here today is from Brother Emmanuel. My name is Emmanuel. I want to testify to the name and to the glory of God. During our retreat, most importantly, the 12 hours charge when we were charging and praying, I placed my territory as my focus. And around 2:00 a.m., my mind went home, and I knew something was wrong. But I couldn't call my wife as at that time. But when it was daybreak, my wife called me to tell me that our 8-month-old baby was attacked and became restless around 2:00 a.m. And she said she started praying, and then all went back to normal. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I knew I struck something in that territory, and they are yet to see what is to come. Glory to God. Hallelujah. The second testimony from the same Brother Emmanuel. Also, over the night, I had an encounter that I was on a road, very confused of what direction to take. Then suddenly, I saw myself in a jeep with a man that looks like Pastor Lawrence. What surprised me was that the man driving didn't take the route I thought I thought was the road. He faced a gate, and he said, "Let's keep driving." And he began to approach the gate, and he hit the gate open with the jeep, and we continued moving. And we began seeing gates, and he kept driving and hitting the gates open till I woke up. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You know, when I read this testimony, the testimony that came to my mind was the testimony Pastor shared about how that someone was driving him, he was going for administration, and then he just said to the driver, "Match the accelerator." Hallelujah. Glory to God. So this week, our way is cleared. Our road is smooth. Hallelujah. Glory to God. The second testimony is from U Mila. I am U Mila. I want to give all the glory back to God for his mercies and his kindness towards me. I had less than two weeks to prepare for a major examination. And two days before the exam, the scores I was getting from the practice tests were so bad, way lesser than the pass, the pass mark I needed. I got worried a bit because the exam was a lot of money, and I used all my savings to register for the exam. In the night before the exam, I spoke to Pastor Victor, and he said, "God will grant you outstanding success." I held on to it, and I kept on confessing that I will be, that I will succeed. After the exam, I sincerely felt like I didn't do it well at all. But I remembered the testimony of that person who wouldn't get up to the cut-off mark but got admission into the university, even on the merit list. So I insisted. How many of us can remember that testimony? Hallelujah. Lo and behold, my results came out, and I passed excellently well. Glory to God. This is huge for me, and I'm deeply grateful to God. I believe that God has begun good works, and he will complete it in my life in Jesus' name. I will come back here to share more and more. God bless the pastorate. God bless DGC. I want to testify of God's faithfulness and divine favor upon upon me and my family. God has God assured my family that he would take care of us when we lost my dad in October 2023, and truly he has provided financially in ways we have never experienced. We have been receiving miracle alerts from people, both known and unknown, regularly. There were also needs I personally had, like a better laptop and content creation kit, and the Lord provided them for me as gifts through people. Hallelujah. The most recent one was that was that a woman I met on the bus on my way to, in the bus on my way down to Bar, gifted me money and even hired a cab for me and paid for it. I have come to thank God, God for his unprecedented favor. I am blessed to belong to this family of Christ. May the Lord continually bless the pastorate. May God bless and increase Davidic Generation Church in Jesus' name. Can I hear a loud amen? Amen. The next testimony is also from Sister Blessing. Yes, to the Davidic Generation Church. Before before becoming a part of this family on April 2nd, 2023, my spiritual life was getting stunted. It wasn't growing like it should. Yes, I was actively involved in church activities, a very dedicated worker, and I was very busy too, running a full-time job and a business alongside, but I wasn't growing. At a point, I lost my peace. I felt like I was pretending, and the things I was doing stopped making sense to me. So I took her time to talk to God. Then when that was when I received the instruction to come to this church. Precisely while I was watching the 911 video on YouTube, I also got another instruction to leave my previous full-time job to focus on my personal, professional, and spiritual growth. Indeed, leaving my previous church and my job were not easy decisions, but I thank God for the grace to follow through. For the past two months, I have experienced speedy growth, and I have been enjoying God's peace and grace. It's been really amazing. Can we say hallelujah? Hallelujah. Joining the daily prayer chain has really strengthened my my prayer life. I now hear God more clearly, so much so that he's been, he's been showing me clearer pictures of his plans for my life. Also, my understanding of scriptures have greatly improved, and I now have more time to invest in other areas of my life. I bless God for our pastors. Since I joined, their teachings have been so timely. How many of us can testify to the same thing? Sometimes you come to church with questions on your heart, but then the sermon will just address it. It's a series, so we will take each one by Sunday. It will take us about two or three weeks, and then we'll be done. What is love? I'll tell you what the Bible says. 1 John chapter 4, verse 8. Number one, love is a person. First John chapter 4, verse 8. Are we there? Are you there? Together, want to go? Somebody say, he who does not love. He who does not love. Does not know God. Does not know. For God is love. So, number one definition, dealing with the matter of love, is that love is a person, and that person is God. Definition. Galatians chapter 5, [Music] 22. Love is a fruit. In fact, some translators will say love is the fruit, and the rest are just simply definitions of love. So, the fruit, notice it says, give it to us in NKJV. Notice it says, the fruit, not the fruits. Did you notice that? So, the fruit of the Spirit is what? Love. In describing love, it now goes further to say, what? Joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. 23. Gentleness, self-control. Against such, there is no law. Now, if you are not sure, this last statement will clarify. Remember Jesus making this statement. Come on. Come on. Do you remember sir talking about the power of love above the law? Yes, sir. Come on. Right. Yes, sir. Anybody who loves has fulfilled the law. So, the fruit of the Spirit is love. So, two things we have said now in defining love. Number one, love is a person. Number two, love is fruit. Okay, not a fruit. Love is the fruit. So, today we'll be dealing with love, the measure of greatness. That's the subtopic that we're dealing with today. If we are able to finish it, which is unlikely, we will go to another subtopic or start another one for today. Love, the measure of greatness. After this message, you will start to see greatness differently. Say amen. Amen. Mark 12:30-31. A man by the name, Prophet Bob Jones, had an encounter where he was with the Lord Jesus, and he was seeing people coming on the line, something like about to enter heaven. And one by one, Jesus asked them only one question. Did you learn to love? How many questions? Did you learn to love? So, that shows us that love is priority to God, and we're about to find that out today together. One to go, verse 31. And the second, 31. So, all the catalog of things that Moses gave, if you take time and go through it in Exodus, Leviticus, you will see a whole lot of commandments. Jesus was saying, don't stress yourself. The most important thing on that list is what? Love God. God. After you finished loving God, love who? Neighbor. Love your neighbor. Once you can do this, you have fulfilled the entire commandments put together. So, love, the commandment of love, is the greatest commandment. This means that you don't do the rest and leave this one out. John chapter 13:34 [Music] to 35. Together, want to go? A new commandment I give you, that you. Verse 35. Jesus is saying, now that the way to identify a Christian is to see if the person is wearing a long skirt, right? If the person is tying a very tight scarf, right? If the cloth is turtleneck, is covering up from the neck and dragging on the floor, is that correct? Are you sure? Yes, sir. Uh-uh. Is not the same screen I'm reading that you're reading? By this, all men will know that you are my disciples. Are you not seeing it? When you don't wear makeup, right? How would the world know that we are Christians? How would the world know that we are His disciples? It means if there's any message, every church must consistently teach, it is the message of what? Love. At the end of everything, breakthrough, divine favor, what is again? Prosperity, power, wisdom, and so on and so forth. If you don't have love, there's a problem with your Christianity. Are we together? Yes, sir. At this point, I want you to just declare, Father, Father, I increase in love. I increase in love. Come on, say it like you understand. I increase in love. To be selfless this year. This year. Like I've never done before. I've never done before. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen. The matter of love requires that we are selfless. Requires that we put others first. And it is foundational for the Christian faith because scripture says that unless we carry our cross, deny ourselves, we cannot follow Him. We can't be His disciples. And love, essentially, is sacrifice. 1 Corinthians chapter 13. This is where we are going to camp in this service. From verse 1 to 13. I'm going to need one or two interesting versions so we can drive this home. Please, Message Translation should be ready for us. Let's have, um, Amplify will do a good job too. TPT should also do a good job. Do you have TPT? Yes or no, ma'am? All right. One, two, go. If I were to speak with eloquence in Earth's many languages and in the heavenly tongues of angels, yet I did not express myself with love, my words will be reduced to a hollow sound of nothing more than a clanging cymbal. They are journeying together. Let's go back to NKJV before we miss [Music] road. Bible says, though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have now become what? So, in the spirit, your identity, now you have become what? A clanging cymbal, a sounding brass. Look at what they are calling a clanging cymbal and a sounding brass. A person who can speak with the tongues of men and of what? If a man of God comes here now and enters into Chinese, enters into Yoruba, enters into Ala by the Holy Ghost, the N begins to speak, angels' tongues, even now you identify that it's angels' tongues, begins to speak in tongues of angels. Scripture is saying the guy is a noise maker. You shouldn't pay attention to him. I'm sure you know that'd be difficult in this country. Is that correct? Yes, sir. Very difficult. That person will earn your honor immediately. Is that correct? Verse two. And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand how many mysteries? All mysteries. Do you know what a mystery is? Some of your dreams are mysterious, and you know what one mystery has caused you, and you have been trying for months to understand why you have been saying that thing. That's just 100-level mystery. There are depths in God. There are things Paul ascended and saw. They said it's not forbidden for him to speak. Are you guys hearing what I'm saying? Yes, sir. Just leave it. Oh, just leave it. Mysteries in abundance. They had to give him a thorn in his flesh because of how much he understood and knew. A spirit world is so vast. The spirit realm is so wild. The average person here has no, has no clue. The world of knowledge and mysteries that is waiting for us to explore. And here the scripture is saying, if I understand all mysteries, I know where all the time gates and portals are on the earth. I know how to access every single one of them. I am mysterious and understand all knowledge. And though I have how many faith? All faith. So that, so he's explaining to you what, what the person can do. The person can tell this complex, now victory complex will start and start following the person. So that I could remove mountains, but have not love, what am I? Nothing. If you read this carefully, you have a problem with Paul's writing. What is Paul saying? Because you have never met anyone like this. You didn't hear what I just said. Yes, sir. You are yet to meet a man of God that is like this, that can do these things. That's what I'm talking about. Maybe you have read in stories, but you're yet to meet somebody who is like this that he has described. He's describing the height of possibilities in the prophetic and in the miraculous, in signs and wonders, and and yet that person is reduced to what? Nothing without what? Love. This will help you this year so that you will know what you are pursuing at the end of the day. Our goal is to be great in the sight of God, not men. Notice, all these things make you great in whose sight? Sight of men. Because men don't know how to measure greatness. All these things, are they shocking God? No. Are they shocking God? As the mountain is moving, hey, how great thou art. God shocked? Yes, sir. Who made the mountains? You are. [Laughter] Moving by one decree. In one day, everything was. Next verse. Verse three. Now, one, two, go. Though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, what happened? This one always beats my imagination. HH. But is it possible to give and you don't have love? Is it possible? Yes. But you cannot love and not give. But oh yes, you can give and not love. I give an example yesterday, workers' retreat. How many of you were blessed that retreat? If you were not there, you missed. [Laughter] It was a wonderful time. I said many times, people can give and they have things in mind when it has to do with the opposite sex. So, some of you have seen some of those funny skits online. As somebody has gone out, they have bought things, they have bought, bought, bought. The lady has bought, she has picked, she has chosen. The guy has paid. She's carrying plenty nyons. Enter the car, and the guy says, "So, ladies saying, so what man is saying, like, let's go home." "That's not the way to my house. This is the way to my house." "What are you talking about? We're going home." As you were picking your house address changed. That's why you did not know. All the givings, he might have spent 250,000. Is it because he loves you? No. And so on and so forth. Some give so that people can see that they are good. That's why there must be the camera watching you as you're doing it. Look at her crying. Look at her crying child. Look at her. So much, so much. She has gone through so much. She has gone through so much. So I will help you. I will help you. All right. I will help you. I can imagine your pain. I have been there too. And I will help you. People pass by by you like this, and they do nothing. Say, yes, but by the grace of God, I won't let you go. I will help you. I will raise you. You will, you will go to school. You finish. All right. How many people will give if nobody will ever know? If nobody in this world will ever know or recognize your good, will you still do it? That's why not many people, many people are intercessors because nobody knows that you're interceding. Now, intercessors usually announce themselves. We are praying for you. I pray for you from this time to this time so that you can behave yourself. I will not waste my prayer. For the past three years, I've been watching and waiting for you. Hallelujah to Jesus. Love will, love would, love will deny you your flesh of expression. It will. So, though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, will have not love, it profits me. It means at the end of the day, all you will get is, ah, you're a good man. You're a good man. Online, finish. Not a single prophet. You get to heaven, and all your works will burn with fire. Nothing will be left of all that energy you exalted because there was no what? Love. So, this year, watch it. Love must motivate you. Love must what? Motivate you. Even in the place of worship, love must be while you are crying, or else you don't gain anything from crying. Yes, sir. Many things can make somebody cry. You think they love God? It can just be breakfast. Early Sunday morning breakfast, or in the course of the week. Correct. Hot breakfast. And anything that has to do with following God, the person starts crying. I will follow you like a child because he warned you. He warned you. You didn't listen. Now you have learned. I will follow you. [Music] To. It doesn't mean the person loves God. But these are things human beings will observe and say, ah, and they said about Jesus, see how he loved him. CH. Because men look on the outside. Is that correct? Yes, sir. That's what God said to Samuel. Men look on the outside. The wiring of men is already designed for them to mistake greatness for smallness and smallness for greatness. I pray for you not to be deceived in Jesus' name. So, love is the reason why there will be prophets. Understand in this kingdom. Your father is wired to receive profits, and you too must be wired to make profits. A number of parables that were shared to that end to describe the nature of your father. The kingdom of God is like a man who traveled on a long journey and gave to his servants talents. Do you remember? And the whole essence of our sojourn on this earth is to make what? Profit. And the major profit we make for the kingdom is souls. How do I know? It's the only thing we ever recorded that makes heaven rejoice. Is that correct? Yes, sir. Yes. Bible says there is great joy when how many sinners repent? One, one. But even that winning of souls, say, you know, you can do it for the wrong reason. Paul said, some preach to add pain to my affliction. Very weird preaching. Paul said, some people were doing that so that he can be pained. He said, last last, Christ is preached. That's what's important to me. But all those guys who were preaching, do you think they will get the reward? Because they didn't have love in their heart. God dealt with me on this matter in 2016. I was ministering from 2012, from January 2012, I started seeing the power of God. And the things I saw drove me to move from place to place ministering because I enjoy what I saw. I saw demons screaming, shouting, "Leave me alone." I saw deaf and dumb hear and speak. I realized, wow, this is actually a demon because I cast it out, and then the girl could now hear and speak. So I was overwhelmed with joy after that program. Ah, power is sweet. I started moving from secondary school to secondary school, pouring fire everywhere, just to hear them shout, "Leave me alone. Bring her, bring her to me." Oh, just happy, just feeling alive as demons were honoring me and getting out of people, and healings were happening, deliverances were happening. Guess what? It wasn't being motivated by love for the people. In fact, very funny. For he was motivated by a need to make myself feel like I am worth something because I was battling with a carryover that season. So every time I enter school, I feel useless. When I get to the altar, I feel useful. So I just lined up ministrations. Ah, you don't understand what I'm talking about. You won't even know the Holy Ghost in your times of prayer will just show you why you're doing what you're doing. Lift your hand, say, Father, Father, open my heart. Open my heart. Show me why I'm doing what I'm doing. Show me why. Put your hand down. It's not nice if you find out on the last day. Today is the best time to know why you're doing what you're doing. Early in the year, January, so you can fix it. You can be in alignment and not lose further reward. Is somebody getting what I'm saying? I'm sure you. It profits you nothing. Know the meaning of profits. You nothing. Read this chapter and take it literally. It doesn't matter how great the things you can do in God are. The Bible says you are nothing if you have no love. I can do like this. [Boom] And the whole church will sleep for 10 years under the power. And see what? Nothing. Say it. Say it. I'm seeing what? Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. But that's what we read in revival stories, right? How many of you go and buy a book that will teach you to love? Revival of love, and you are reading how they're loving. Mother Teresa. She gave. Who else again? See, we don't know anybody. But talk to me about revival power. Oh, yeah. Mention the names. Oh, the only one you know of love because she didn't do any mighty miracles, right? How many of you? She's alive today. You go and meet her for invitation. Say, she's not streaming it. Let me stream the service. Why? Because you don't see her as great. Is somebody following what I'm saying? Yeah. There's a wiring in every single one of us, myself inclusive. We are on the journey. God is helping us. Because power is my bias, you know that already. I like results. I like gang. So anybody who has it in 5D HD version, there's an honor I have for you. But the word of God says that person is what? Nothing. The person is nothing without love. I pray that you will not be found wanting on this subject in Jesus' name. Let's run quickly. Verse four. Let's run quickly. I think I started saying something I didn't finish. I was sharing a story, right? Yes. So eventually, after many years of doing that, I got used to it. The feeling changed. After I got, of course, I passed the exam eventually, and then the feeling now changed. It was now just to satisfy. It was like a drug, literally. That's how I was able to feel happy. So I will do it. See the power of God, and then I'll be happy for a while. Wow, God use me. God use me. I'm describing where many men of God are. The full hall and service, the many people calling them Papa, Mama. It was giving them some kind of. Are you getting what I'm saying? Yes, sir. Yeah, that's what's driving them. You don't even know. And then, of course, some are even all the way, all the way gone. It's the money and so on and so forth. It's no longer love for the sheep. They don't love people anymore. So around 2016, God took me on a journey and began to deal with this matter in my heart. But I saw that I was blessing people. I was happy to see them manifest, scream, shout, impartation. But I didn't love the people that were under the power. I just noticed it. This is why I say it's a miracle. God will open your eyes this year in Jesus' name. Amen. I could have kept on going like that, but God intercepted my journey and opened my eyes to see that I didn't have love for the people I was ministering to. Jesus loved His disciples. You see it. It was almost a, I don't know how to describe it. It was an affectionate kind of love. You hear things like John putting his head, head on the chest of Jesus. He loved them. I don't know if you're getting what I'm saying. It was a mushy love. They want to identify Jesus. They using keys to. I, I know it was traditional, but you, you see that they were, they were, they were, they loved each other. They were always together. I called you friends. They were talking, they were bonding. Jesus loved them. He was not just trying to use them. Are you getting what I'm saying? Wasn't just trying to use them. That's why you laid down your life for Him because you experienced His love for you. His love is not selfish. It's a risk. What if you didn't respond? So He didn't love you because you were responding. He loved you while you were yet a sinner. You, you hear what I just said? God commands His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. It was a risk. It was a risk because right now, today, many people are still not responding. And yet, does He love them? Yes, sir. Oh, guess what? God loves them. God loves them. God loves them. Every time I think of something that happens on the news, I think about the fact that God loves these people, and it just beats my imagination. It's easy to receive God's love, but to believe that God loves the person that hates you, it's difficult to swallow or to stomach. Are, are you getting what I'm saying? Like those guys now, inside the bush, now holding down innocent people, kidnappers. And the last one year, they have cut off the breast of 50 ladies, mutilated the private parts of 100 guys for rituals. They have taken the livers and the kidneys and the so on and so forth. Those guys now, the one in charge of all of them, sitting in the bush now, maybe eating somebody's heart. God loves the guy. You say, sir, I told you guys one day I was in University of Ibadan, I think 400 level, 500, and I saw, I saw a, I saw shelves, no drawers, I saw plenty stacked, and I was hearing the cry of babies inside them. They were crying. Why? Why? Why crying? They had just packed them from hospitals inside Ghana Must Go, and some of those babies, they will pound them. Every time I say it, I start feeling the anger again. I shouted, God, anoint me to kill. Anoint me. I beg you. Please don't use me for anything great again. I'm telling you what I told God. Just this is the only thing I just want in my life and destiny. Please give the rest to other men of God. Anoint me. I was begging God. Make me the angel of death. I'm telling you prayers I prayed. Angel of judgment. I want to appear and call them to glory in thousands. I will just come online, national TV, in 24 hours, submit anyone you have kidnapped, or there will be mass slaughter. It's not then say, then say, as I've said it, in 5 minutes, they dropping dead all over the nation. I said, God, do this for me. Leave the rest. Anointing for the rest people. I don't want again. That's how angry I was. How can this continue? God said, I love them. Why? It's not funny. It's not funny. You don't understand what I'm saying. You know, it has not reached you yet. That's why I still laughing. That's why you still laughing. You will almost hate God if you're not careful, sir. When you see Him love your enemy, sir. That's what will happen to most people. Most people don't want to follow God because they're saying, how can a God that is good be allowing evil? The evil has not even reached you. You're complaining. You're talking about earthquakes. When the thing reaches you, and then you not hear that God loves the person, how can you love the same God? He hates me. You love him, then you don't love me. That's how human beings think, right? Yeah. Love is the greatest test of greatness. You must pass this love test. The deeper you are in love, the greater you are in God. Are we together? So, in 2016, when I went for that program, the Lord began to work on my heart, began to deal with this matter of love, and eventually God overcame me. I started to intentionally love the people. Before, I was literally like a robot. Just get things done. They need fire, give them fire, finish. Take fire, get out. You want to be healed, take healing, get out. I didn't want to interface with any human being. That's why love-reliant ministry. I don't need to ever see you again in my life. But pastoral is quite different now. They get to be in your life. You get to be in their life. If God had not healed me, there's no way I'll be able to do what I'm doing. Are you getting what I'm saying? So, it's important for you to have a heart for the people. I didn't used to miss people before, too. Some of you are still like that. You see, have a lot of injuries, you need to heal from, and you are thinking, is strength? I used to see it as strength because it means many things. Also, it means they can't hurt you. Is that correct? You have numbed the whole world. So, every greeting is fake. Every high is fake. Every hug is fake. Everything is fake. Hello, hello. I'm a dramatist. So you feel very warm, but I'm not happy to be in your presence. Summarize and get out. Once it's 3 minutes, 5 minutes. Is it because I'm smiling? You as he's talking, can you end this thing? You have to say, say, because I get to buy something for. That's what was going on in your mind. That's why you're still talking to now. It has reached 5 minutes. What are you still saying? Because I really didn't care about anybody else. I'm describing some of you. God will heal you in Jesus' name. Amen. Don't be like that. And don't be happy that you cannot feel pain. You are not well. One of the signs of health is that you can feel pain. We don't have a high priest that is not what? Touched. Jesus was emotional. Is that correct? Yes, sir. Oh, He cried. The number of times He stood, one day saw Jerusalem and began to weep. Weep for their ignorance. He said, ah, they did not know the hour has come. It pains God when you are not, when you are not, when you're not smart, when you're not sensitive. It pains Jesus. Look at the things that made Him cry. You know the things that are important to God's heart. He's crying over many lives. 5 years I've been saying the same thing. She's not getting it. It's breaking His heart. He's praying, interceding, ever living to intercede that somebody will have sense. That person will have sense this year. Amen. So, if Jesus can be touched, then you too should be what? Touched. I'm staying on that because I believe somebody needs to hear it. In the place of prayer and communion, it is healthy from time to time to find yourself crying. I don't want to put it as a rule. If you don't cry, something is wrong. All right. It's not exactly like that, but it's healthy. It's okay from time to time to find yourself what? Crying. Paul cried in prayers. Jesus cried in prayers. Is somebody hearing what I'm saying? Because He's burdened. It's a burden when you love somebody. They are able to get you to what? Be vulnerable. A part of being vulnerable is to be emotional. Is to be, is to be out there with your emotions. So, in your worship and your praise, you say you love God. Sometimes, from time to time, you find yourself breaking down in tears because of that love. Are you getting what I'm saying? Yes. Watch it. That's one of the indices. I say I love somebody, and my emotion is not involved. Is that possible? Hey, it doesn't make any sense. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul. What's your soul? Come on. Your will, intellect, and what? Emotions. So, that cancels out anyone who has a doctrine that emotions has nothing to do with your worship of God. Is a lie. It's not even a serious lie. It's a foolish lie. Just look at your Bible, small. You will see it all over. People loving God, and their emotions were involved. Is that correct, sir? Yes. People interacting with God, and their emotions were involved. Why is that true? Because your soul is in the spiritual part of you. Did somebody hear what I just said? Your soul is what? The spiritual part. The spiritual part of you. So, let's leave that. Let's come back to love now. It begins to talk about love. It says, love suffers long and is kind. Love suffers long and is kind. It means that love endures something for a long time. Because you love, you will take that nonsense for a long time. It suffers long. Is long-suffering. Am I speaking to somebody here? Am I talking to you? Ask your neighbor. Talking to you. Love suffers long. Be copying and pasting. These are the signs of greatness. We have already agreed that this.
Is greatness? Is that correct? Yes, sir. So, this is how you know somebody's great. When the person can suffer. What? The longer they can suffer, the greater they are. Nobody can talk to me anyhow. You are not great. You are not great. What I'm saying is true. Me, I can't take any nonsense. Oh, you are not great. That's why the more you can suffer, the more you can endure, the more nonsense you can take, the greater you are, sir.
Some people have walked up to me and said, "Why am I not replying some things? Why am I not doing some things online? Why am I not doing some things [Laughter] online?" I don't know why you're laughing, but anyway, God had to deal with me. Oh, God had to deal with me. If you want to be great in God, because greatness means and there be a lot of followership in the spirit, and there a lot of power on your shoulder to wield, it's important that you love people. Did you hear what I just said?
There are some men of God. I had challenge with some fathers that I honor and respect. I had challenge with. When they share some stories of how there was a head of state, a recent one, and the head of state was sick, and they called him to come and pray for that head of state, and he went to pray for the head of state, and we give God praise today, the head of state is alive. I said, "Why didn't they call me to pray for this head of state?" As I'm leaving the [Laughter] room, in my mind, "Why choose one person over a country?" In my head, "Choose Nigeria over this one person that refused us to make progress." But you see, love. God will make a sacrifice for one person, leave 99, come for one. God loves. Oh, and he loves extremely. And before you start saying that he should reduce the love, that's the reason why you are here. Is that extreme love? How many of you understand what I'm talking about? Many of you, since your case would have been concluded, but God loved you. Tell your neighbor, "God loved you." That's why you are here. God, that's why.
How many of you have disobeyed God consciously before? Consciously. It didn't happen mistakenly. You knew consciously. And he forgave you? Is that correct? You didn't cancel your book of destiny and say, "You know what? We are done with this project." God loved you. The essence of that is so that you can receive that love and release that love to somebody else. Is that all right? So, he suffers long and is kind. Kindness speaks of warmth, speaks of hospitality. Many people are not nice, are not kind with their words and their actions. It's important this year to be kind. Tell your neighbor, "This year, be kind." This year, be kind to people. Be kind to people. Be nice to people.
Scripture says that we should be careful to entertain strangers, why? Because some have entertained angels unaware. But that's not the reason why to entertain strangers, all right? Cuz when we just hear, "Angels," ah, okay, I want angels. So, strange. In case you are an angel, stop being like that. Stop being like that. Stop always doing something because of what you want to get. The scripture says, "Be kind." Just be kind. Let it be a nature to just be what? Kind. Be kind with your words. Be kind with your actions. Be nice. Sometimes, that is just what somebody needs to feel like this world is a better place.
One woman came to see Daddy G.O. And as she came to see Daddy G.O., he says, "She must see Daddy G.O." She has been coming many times, she was not able to see him. She was on the queue for counseling, long queue, and she was crying. "I must see Daddy G.O. today. I must see him today. I must see him." "You can't see him, man. Look at the line. Other people are coming." "I must see him today." It was as though that was the end for it for her. "If I don't see him today, it has finished." You see why it's good to be led? And Daddy G.O. was hearing her outside, and he came out, walked up to her, and gave her a big hug. And that was the end of it. She wept. She was touched. And then released her. Went back and sat and continued the counseling there.
Some things I was about to say, but I won't go into that. Let love lead you this year. Love is a measure of greatness. Even as you form structures around your life, let love lead you this year. If there's one thing that will never fail, it is what? Is love. There are some of you who have been trying to reach out to your roommates, reach out to your friends, and you are not nice. How can they follow your Jesus when you are not nice? It does not even make sense. You'll be preaching to somebody, and the person cannot eat your food. You are not kind. You are not nice. You're not thoughtful. You make it difficult to believe that Jesus is good because you are not good in your behavior. So, please pay attention to you this year, and the Lord will preserve these words in your heart in Jesus name.
He now goes to say, "Love does not envy." Love doesn't envy. Envy is a result of somebody becoming something that you're not, achieving something that you are not, that you have not achieved. Usually, you will not be envious of somebody that you are higher than or greater than. Is that correct? Yeah. Usually, unless you have a serious problem. But somebody who is at your level or higher than you, suddenly begins to succeed beyond you, begin to do certain things, make certain strides, the seed of envy can be sown in a person's heart. If Satan that puts it in your heart, is not who you are. Tell anybody, it's not who you are. Who you are, it's not everything you feel that you need to, you know, personalize. The fact that it came to your thoughts does not mean it's who you are. The father used to say, "You cannot stop a bird from flying over you, or you can stop it from building a nest on your head." So, the fact that the thought came to your mind, just in case we are reading and you're saying, "Ah, I'm guilty of this." The fact that it crossed your mind does not mean it's who you are. When you own the thought and dwell on it, then you are now forming identity. Is that clear? So, as the enemy sows seeds of envy, uproot it.
Let me talk to Chet. For example, you have been re-ing, re-ing, re-ing, re-ing, re-ing all your life. And one day, he did not give you mic like this. One day, he not give you mic to hold and to minister. And this guy or this lady, they give the mic back to back, back to back, back to back. You will know you have been fine since. One Sunday, the whisperer will just come. "Is it the only one?" That's how it starts. And you are not looking at him truly. "Is he the only one?" That's how it starts. "What is he even singing?" "Look at it, just went off now." "Look at that. Look at that." "These people are not paying attention to details." Excellence, excellence, excellence. Huh. That's how envy starts. You're not a wicked person. Satan just sows that seed in your heart. You don't have something somebody has. That's an opportunity for envy. How do you deal with it? Celebrate the person. Find a seat. So, into the person's life. Oh yes, I'm telling you how to deal with it. Then start praying for the person. Oh, you will finish that flow. You will deal with it. Once you notice that seed that's planted in your heart, jealousy, envy, offense. Two, three things you can do. Number one, start what? Celebrate the person. Not just before the person, but behind the person. That one is harder. Number two, give to the person. Add. Give to the person. Your flesh will fight it. And number three is the main one. Pray for the person.
So, in case you want to know how I dealt with certain things that have happened to me at certain times. Number one, celebrate the person. Because when somebody has hurt you, offended you, usually when the person's matter comes up, you will start to what? You to what? Run down the person's destiny like this. That's how he is. That's how he is. That's it. In fact, I even read and I begin to run down, run down. And you notice that it'll be sweet. You'll be satisfied. "Now I'm okay." But as you have done that, you have lost ground in the spirit. So, all these opportunities to rise and to pass tests in the spirit and to shift, they come from loving. I will share one in parables. I'll share it in, in, uh, in codes. Amen. Amen. You know, if something is hard, you know if there's a problem in your heart. When it's time to show love to a person, that's the easy test. You are not sure if somebody has offended you, then try to show love. You see that it's not as easy. It will be hard. So, go against the tide and do that thing.
Something like that happened some time ago. And so, I noticed it was hard to reach out. And then somebody who is in our life told us, or told me, he said, "Lawrence, reach out. Greet this person and so on and so forth." I said, "Okay, Ma. I'll do it." One day passed. I've not done it. Second day, I've not done it. "Lawrence, have you done it?" "Ah, I forgot. I would do it." I was about to send the message. I saw it was difficult. Ah, I said, "Kai, this offense." I thought this thing was out. So, I sent the message. The person reached out, had a conversation. I was able to help even the person make further progress with their life. Counsel. We prayed. At that moment, my heart was finally healed. Now, as I sent the message, immediately, and I slept, I had a dream. A delivery company, they put some packages on a delivery bike and said, "Release the package to Lawrence's house." Just after sending the message, once I decided, "I am going to reach out and show love," as I slept, they released my package. I took notes. Many people praying have not broken through because they have not loved. Love is one of your ways to victory. So, please don't trivialize it. It might not look like a fire, fire message, but this is one of the most fiery messages you will hear this year. And no better time to hear it than now.
Love does not par. Is not puffed up. This is talking about pride. You can read other versions. We don't have time. But anywhere you see pride, love is not there. Love is not puffed up. Love does not focus on self and self and self. All over the body of Christ today, we are seeing this trend increasing more and more. We are seeing ministers making it look like it's, it's about us in the way they are portraying things on media and so on and so forth. We have to be watchful of this, cuz the generation is watching and they're thinking this is what ministry is about. Ministry is loving. Ministry is sacrifice. It is what Jesus led for us. What the apostles led for us, that we are following as a template. Is that clear? Yes, sir.
Verse 5. Let's run quickly. Does not behave what? Rudely. Does not seek his own. Is not provoked. Thinks no evil. Do you see how strict it is? Love is such a powerful force. Does not behave rudely. Does not seek its own. If you're in a relationship with somebody who has love, you have, you are your own done better because the person is not going to seek their own. Is your own? They'll be seeking. Do you know what it means for somebody to be seeking your own? David was blessed with such a relationship. Is that correct, sir? Jonathan handed over his spear and his shield, or his sword and his shield, to him and said, "I know the Lord will make you king." Who was here to the throne? David is saying, "I know you'll be king in my father's stead. I believe in your destiny, which is to be my king." Me, that I am here to the throne. To find a friend like Jonathan throughout Jonathan's life, it was David that was his own joy. His joy was to see David increase. You don't find such. Oh, they are very rare. Everybody is thinking of their, their own. So, all these our messages that training you how to use mentors, training you how to use fathers, be very careful of it. Making everything methodical. Love people. Tell your neighbor, "Love people sincerely." Love people sincerely, and you will not be needing plenty strategies on how. Just love people. Even all the teachings on customer relation and so on and so forth. We should be very careful of those things in church. Or as a smile, wave. Because as, as they come to church, people need to see a smile. All right? You can't frown. And should we tell you to smile? If you love those entering church, will you be frowning at them? So, we have to make up for a lack with plenty teachings. When you are not in customer care, customer care, we all know they don't love us. Do they love us? What's her business with your destiny? All the smile and laughter is so she can collect her money at the end of the month. So, you have the God to call somebody who is not your mate and me say, "Hello, hello. That my credit. Am I credit not loaded? Where's my money?" "We are sorry. We are sorry." "Don't tell me sorry. I am going to chop." "We are sorry." See the woman, the head is hot. She's the one talking like that. "We're sorry. We're sorry." Because she wants to collect this call is being monitored. She wants to collect her at the end of the month. You think it's love that's powering that niceness and kindness? You see? So, you can be kind and not have love. Is that correct? All this behavioral modification is not what Christianity is about. Our change happens from inside out. Yes, sir. That's why it starts by saying that love is a person. A person who does not have God cannot love. Christ. Is somebody hear what I'm saying? Declare, "I receive grace. I receive to love everyone around me. Everyone." As you leave this place now, you will see that as you are looking at people, you're looking at them differently. Everybody in this world needs love. Bible says, "Owe no man anything but love." It means everybody has a depth of love on their head. Tell your neighbor, "You have a depth of love on your head." Okay. Tell your neighbor, "You're owing me love." "Me love." Tell the other person, "Love too." Everybody is owing each other what? Love. Everybody owes everybody love. You must continue loving till the day you see Jesus. That's the code of the kingdom. Is love. Is love.
He does not seek its own. Is not provoked. Thinks no evil. Look at love. Imagine a friend like this that you are not conscious of. What is the person thinking? Why, why is he looking at me like that? What's, what's coming to their mind? Somebody you can just trust and be vulnerable with. How many of you like that kind of relationship? You can just be completely naked and not ashamed. Lord, you, because you know God loves you. Is that not why you're naked before him? Imagine a human being now that you can be as naked with. Oh, you're not catching what I'm saying. The reason you are able to be naked with God is because, last last, a Roy, he sees you and he sees say, "He loves me." No problem. So, you are naked and vulnerable with him. Imagine another human being you can be like that to. I'm praying for somebody here. The Lord will bless you with a good friend. Say amen. If you need someone like that, those of you who are unmarried, the Lord will bless you with such a [Applause] spouse. I don't even know the point of marrying if the person does not love you. You now understand what I mean by love, right? Talking about the person does not call you. Person does not. You see what I'm talking about? A person that is never always have couples. Have you seen couples that? Why are we married? Why? You just carry stress and just be living with stress. Why do you want to die early? Just remain single. It's not by force now. Why marry someone that doesn't love you, or someone you don't love?
Love thinks no evil. Stop being suspicious. Stop expecting problems. Stop looking forward to evil. Stop, stop arranging it in your head. Stop it. Just be free. Come on. Is somebody hear what I'm saying? Yes, sir. Just be free. Just be happy. Stop looking around. "Why you look at me like that?" Stop being a devil. Are you hearing what I'm saying? They're going to laugh too much now. They will take me for granted. Stop it. It's evil. That's evil. It's evil. Laugh. Laugh. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Laugh. Be happy. It is evil. It is evil. How can you choose sadness so that they can take you seriously? Is that a righteous thought? Is that not evil? It's evil. And you, I look at someone who is smiling, and you're thinking, "The person is laughing too much." Are you not already a devil? That's a devil's reason. They're not happy. As why laughing now? Somebody met me in one place after, I not mention in the country, but the person actually told me, "Person doesn't, he doesn't. I don't like, I don't like your sermons because I feel like you are too, you are too happy. You're too, you're too." What is not happy? You, but you're just, you're not serious. I said, "This one does not know where I'm coming from." "You will thank God for me." "Hoo, you don't know where I'm coming from." "Oh, I will say, 'War!'" "I'm not interested in your life." "Just, just catch fire, Madam." "You are crippled under power." "I'm still shouting, 'More, more!'" "It's like, it's like angels should kill the person more again." "More." I leave the hall. Even my friends cannot talk to me as we're going to the hotel because of the amount of the amount of pens I have generated in the environment. I'm not joking. No, I can feel it that nobody is talking to me again. Like everybody is just, "Oh, man of God, what is the problem?" "I, how to up?" "I beg, we can balance this thing now." My wife is seated here. If I am preparing for ministration, before there's no talking all day because I'm looking at the meeting. He remains small. You will soon be a devil. He's just small. You have. He's just remaining small. Is look, what is the problem? Is that how have been marriage? Elijah comes, "Get out of the way." "What's wrong with you?" There are men of God like that today. Yes, sir. The wife is coming, "Honey, I'm preparing for a meeting. How will I have utterance after that kiss?" So, just take it. Maybe that's what the woman wanted. I don't know. By the next session, I saw her at the back crying and say, [Laughter] "Oh, amen. Amen."
Love is hospitable. Love is kind. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Yes, sir.
Next verse, verse 6. Does not rejoice in what? Iniquity. Is very powerful. But rejoices in the truth. Let's run quickly. Verse 7. One, two, go. Bears all things. Believes all things. Hopes all things. And what? Endures all things. Endures all things. Can you feel it? This is a great challenge. Believes all things. Your first point of call when someone is talking to you is to believe. Then the Holy Ghost can say, "No, he's lying." But that you are already, "He's lying." The Holy Ghost say, "No, he's saying the truth." Not everybody is a liar. Lord, believes all things. Bears all things. All, someone say, "All." All things. Hopes all things. And what? Endures. If you are following the context now, as long as you are still reasoning according to signs and wonders and not the reasoning of love, what are you? A child. You're a child. You are a child. Just believe it. By a child. This year, we mature in faith in Jesus name. Amen. What I'm saying is too true to go against. It's a sign that a person is a mature believer. Please help me this year." Listen to me, guys. When the Bible says, "We are the salt of the earth," this is how we are going to salt the earth. It is by loving. There's so much pain in this world, and Christians who have what it takes to bring ease, to bring some level of comfort, are not doing what we should be doing. Start from your neighborhood. Start from your environment, from your family. This is a year to love people more intentionally. Everyone, lift your right hand and declare, "Father, Father, instruct me and I obey. Instruct me and I obey. My ears are open to hear instructions. My ears are open to hear instruction. I grow in my love work this year. I grow in my love." In the name of Jesus. We are your representatives here on Earth. We are called to be like you. I'd like to remind us that love is also a command. It's a command. We don't exactly have a choice. We are called to love. Father, we ask that you help us. Help us. We ask for the grace to love in Jesus name. Before we pray for Pastor, I'd like to just further emphasize what Pastor said that you should intentionally go against your nature. Intentionally go against it. Intentionally be kind. Intentionally be nice. Be generous. And before something becomes a behavior, it's first a culture. You can make it a behavior by letting it first become a culture. So, let it become a discipline, and then it will become a behavior. Because when you do it consistently, it becomes, it just starts flowing naturally. May the Lord help us in Jesus name. Let's stretch our hands towards Pastor. I just ask that in the name of Jesus, there will be an increase in anointing. He's strengthened. He's helped of God. His love work increases. The Bible talked about how the men of low repute came to David in Adullam. So, Adullam can be seen as a cave where we can all come together and build up ourselves, you know, for the battle ahead. And it's also a fostering and a reference to your secret place. It would help foster your secret place. Are we together? Cuz there is Adullam where we can all come together. And then there is your secret place. So, the term Adullam is a reference to both. Are we together? It's a reference to both. In, in, in other words, I'm saying you should not forsake this assembly. Whenever we call for a meeting, whenever we call for a program, let us be intentional and try our best to make it. For example, the workers' retreat was a powerful one, but how many of us made it?
