What you are wanting is not worth wanting. This is dharma. How to understand if a tradition is leading towards light or pushing towards more darkness. This is superstition. Does anyone know anything? Affirmations, manifestation, power of manifestation. Many books related to this are also selling in the market. What do you manifest? Liberation, moksha, nirvana. When you say I will do this, I will get what I want. What do you want? This is the first question. A greedy person would be thinking, let me get more money, he is manifesting. A young man would be thinking, let me get a girl, he is manifesting with his eyes closed. It's not like first you will want something completely rotten and then you will be busy trying to get it. Sometimes self-help, motivation, manifestation, baba ji, folk religion, jantar mantar, some remedy. This is superstition that if it is happening, it must be right. Today, go and try to read a little about what have been the most dangerous but widely prevalent superstitions in the world. Your head will spin that we are coming from such a past. All this has been going on, and then you will develop some respect for science. Otherwise, it is a big fashion here. Abuse science. Oh, nothing happens with your science. Your blind, rotten, stinking desires and the means to fulfill them. Always ask why? One who cannot even ask a question is not even human. Namaste Acharya Ji. This is my fanboy moment. Sir, my question is that the boards just happened, and for that, parents did various types of pujas for the children to do well. They broke 100 coconuts so that the children's luck would open. And I also read about other things, like startups, their founders, who are IIM and IIT pass-outs, are also doing Griha Shanti Pujan and all this. So, is this a tradition or superstition, and how to understand if a tradition is leading towards light or pushing towards more darkness? This was my question. Whatever is going on, yes, it is going on. It is a fact that it is going on. So ask yourself, why is it going on? That's all. If you understand why it is going on, and then you continue it, then it is good. If you don't understand why what is going on is going on, but you still have to do it, then it is superstition. What does superstition mean? Knowing nothing, but doing it just because it is happening and if you ask those who have been doing it, they will also say because it is happening. This is superstition. Nobody knows anything, and that is why the argument is often given in favor of superstition: it has been happening for so long, so were all our ancestors fools? Are you the only smart one? It has been happening for so long, so were all the old people fools? Have you emerged as the only wise one? Why do they give this argument? Because they also don't know. Their only argument is that it is coming from behind, so it must be right. No. Just because something is coming from behind doesn't make it right. And everything that is coming from behind is right. So why wear today's clothes? Why wear today's shoes? Why take today's medicine? Why drive today's car? Why use today's phone? Why fly in today's airplane? Behind us was the bullock cart. If everything that is happening is right, then continue that. From behind, we take what does not change with time. Things that change with time are not taken from behind. From behind, you can take Sankhya Yoga, you can take Vedanta philosophy because they talk about a subject that does not change with time. For example, fear. Man was afraid 5000 years ago, man is still afraid today. So Vedanta talks about fear, what this fear is, and how to be free from it. So, it's fine. We will still respect Vedanta today because its subject matter is timeless. But things that change with time, we won't pick up anything from behind for them. Will you pick it up? Will you pick it up? Who wants to use Windows 95? Who wants to? Those sitting here might not even know what Windows 95 is. Who wants an Ambassador car? Many people want it because it is associated with a red light in our minds. It's a good thing. Baby, yours is a government city in Bhopal. So the meanings of Ambassador are different. From behind, take only that which can never be left behind. What is that? Truth. If you find any scripture behind that talks only about that, then take it. Otherwise, there is no need to take anything from the past. The Gita is from the past, but it can never be from the past. So we will not leave it behind because what is said there is timeless. The Gita talks about desire, how man walks in a stupor of desire. Desire existed before. Desire exists today. Desire will exist 500 years from now, so the Gita can never become old. We will not leave the Gita behind. But if you say I want to wear wooden sandals instead of sneakers, then no sir, you have to leave all this behind. So why do you get vaccinated? I am not talking about the COVID vaccine. Tetanus, smallpox, diarrhea, diphtheria, all these, why do you get these vaccinations? Why vaccinate a child? They didn't used to do it before. And everything old is good. A very uneducated argument is given in its favor. Old people were 8-9 feet tall. And old people lived very long. Do a little research, get the data, what was the average income, what was the average age, you will know everything. The world population did not increase for almost 5000 years because people did not live long. This was the situation before. Now Google and get the historical curve of world population, you will find it is almost flat. All the population has increased in the last 100 years, and it has increased because medical science has come, so we have started living. Otherwise, the world population was like this. And there were diseases whose names, if I say them now, you will say this disease is now out of fashion. Plague, polio, people died from these. Cholera, TB, who is dying from cholera or TB today? Who is dying from plague today? But the Black Death wiped out more than one-third of Europe's population. So, in the curve of world population, you will see a dip at the time of the Black Death. That is because Europe was completely wiped out. The plague from which no one dies today. So tell me, was everything good in the past? Tell me, why did you listen to the past? You listen to old people, so-and-so has eight siblings. You used to hear things like that, right? Why so many children? Use your brain a little. Everything was good in the past. There were so many children because they didn't survive. So women kept giving birth to children. If 8-10 were born, two or three would survive. Do you understand? It wasn't all good, and it wasn't all bad. If it were all bad, then we wouldn't have science, mathematics, Natyashastra, philosophy, literature, and so many beautiful buildings, temples. We have such excellent examples of craftsmanship. Where would all this have come from? So, in the past, nothing was all good, and nothing was all bad. Good and bad exist in every era. Good and bad people exist at all times. Today, everyone in the world is bad. No, everyone is good. No. So, we will take from the past what is useful. Not useless just because it was happening in the past, so it should happen today. We will not do this. Do you understand? My old people had very strong teeth. Today, if someone needs glasses, they immediately say. What is this? This is nothing. My grandfather used to read without glasses until he was 100 years old. He could read because he didn't know how to read. What is this? These are today's boys. See, they haven't even turned 20, and their gums are bleeding. My grandfather used to chew corn on the cob at the age of 90. Dental hygiene was so bad all over the world. The king of France, Louis XIV, got married at the age of 40. There might have been a second or fourth marriage at that time. He had only one tooth left. One tooth. Do you understand? A tooth is a simple thing, but a tooth is also a dangerous thing. It's not that easy. Teeth fall out. To save teeth, good science is needed, and an industrial product in the form of a toothbrush. People will say datun, datun, datun doesn't work. Brother, it's okay. Those who don't have a brush can use datun, but it won't suffice. And teeth are the first part of your digestion process. If you don't have teeth, what will you digest, and if you don't digest, how will you live? All this thinking that people used to live long and this and that. Look at the statistics. People were tall. There is also evidence of that, well-documented, about what the average height of people in the world was. That is also available. The person you are talking about didn't even bathe because the tradition was that bathing opens the pores. Then insects enter them, microscopic insects, and these microscopic insects enter the brain, and the person goes mad. This is not an Indian tradition, but a French tradition. But it was like this everywhere. This is superstition: if it is happening, it must be right. People didn't know that diseases were happening. And it was also that women would not read or write. When they wouldn't read or write, they weren't very useful either. Especially when the husband died. As long as the husband is alive, they are useful to the husband. Now she is not educated either. The husband has also died. She is alone and diseases are spreading in the village. They don't even know why diseases are spreading. So a good opportunity arose. They said all these diseases are spreading because of this witch. Burn her alive because she wasn't useful anyway. So burn her alive. Everything that has been happening is not good. This act of burning alive has happened in Europe, and burning women alive has also happened in India in Sati Pratha. And I haven't even mentioned casteism yet. When you deprive a very large section of society of education, respect, and the basic dignity of life, that was also happening in the name of tradition, wasn't it? Always ask why? Why? One who cannot even ask a question is not even human. Your curiosity makes you human. Today, go and try to read a little about what have been the most dangerous but widely prevalent superstitions in the world. Your head will spin that we are coming from such a past. All this has been going on. And then you will develop some respect for science. Otherwise, it is a big fashion here. Abuse science. Oh, nothing happens with your science. No, nothing happens with science. You have gained everything because of science. Every breath you take is because of science. Oh, nowadays you people know nothing. Our ancestors knew everything. We bow to the best among our ancestors, the pioneers, and we accept their gifts of love with bowed heads and will always be grateful to them. But this does not mean that we will accept all the garbage and trash from the past as well. Do you understand? Or is it just that you have to go and offer oil? Yes. But the heart trembles at leaving anything like this. Lest some misfortune befall. The greatest misfortune occurs when you kill your consciousness, your curiosity. There is no greater misfortune than that. Acharya Ji, greetings. Sir, my question is related to this. Nowadays, some things are very trending. Like affirmations, manifestation, power of manifestation. Many books related to this are also selling in the market. Manifestation techniques, even many trainers are available who will guide you in this. Then Indians also come forward saying that these things are very old, not new. You read Hanuman Chalisa. 40 times, you can manifest whatever you want. And at home, mothers also tell that these fasts that have been made, like Vaibhav Lakshmi Vrat, if you want wealth, then observe this fast, read the Vrat Katha, then you can also manifest that. So these things are not new. We have these things too. People feel very proud about this. So, sir, to what extent are these things correct? They are very much in trend. And even big celebrities are promoting them. Whoever has an unconscious desire for something, they will do anything to get it, and when they don't get it, they deceive themselves by thinking that they have got it or will get it this way. At its root is unconscious desire. I want something. I want something. I want something. They struggle a lot for it. And whether you get it by struggling or not is also a matter of chance. And it also requires effort. Even in the world, if you want any material thing, it requires effort to get it. So there is a possibility that you won't get it. When you don't get it, in the stupor of your desire, you say, okay, I will try some trick. Maybe I will get it. This is all that. This is all that. Nothing else. Manifestation and all this, what is it? What are you manifesting? You are manifesting your blind desire, aren't you? And dharma is to teach you desirelessness. Dharma is to teach you desirelessness. What do you manifest? Liberation, moksha, nirvana. When you say I will do this, I will get what I want. What do you want? This is the first question. What do you want? A greedy person would be thinking, let me get more money, he is manifesting. A young man would be thinking, let me get a girl. He is manifesting with his eyes closed. This is what you want. And when you don't get all this, you deceive yourself by thinking that if I do this yantra, I will get it. You will get it like this. Dharma ends this entire foolishness at the very first step. It says what you are wanting is itself foolishness. And folk dharma expands that foolishness. Folk dharma says that to get what you are wanting, observe this fast, that vow, do this remedy, give donation there. Then you will get what you want. Krishna asks, why are you wanting what you are wanting? Understand the difference between dharma and folk dharma. Folk dharma is just an expansion of your desires, and everything there is just so that what you want is fulfilled. You say we go to such and such a place, and our wishes are fulfilled. Is this statement in accordance with the Gita? Would Shri Krishna ever accept that I am going to such and such a place, and by going there, all wishes are fulfilled? There, the point is that all your wishes are hell. Dharma says these desires of yours are your hell. Because your desires arise from your ignorance. They arise from your blindness. You don't even know who you are and what you truly want. But you keep wanting. This is called desire. Whether your desire is fulfilled or not, you will remain unhappy. Whether it is fulfilled, you will still remain unhappy. And fulfillment is never eternal. So, after fulfillment, you will constantly have fear and apprehension that something might be lost, something might be broken. What you are wanting is not worth wanting. This is dharma. And folk dharma says, yes, tell me what you want? Whatever you want, we will get it for you right now. That baba ji, that girl is very hot, but she is not coming into my clutches. No problem, child, take this vashikaran mantra, and go and get a hair from that girl from somewhere, and chant the mantra on the hair, and the girl will come crawling to you. This is folk dharma. This is folk dharma. They have gone with a blade from behind, busy with a trick. To cut a hair from somewhere. This happens, brother. They stole his comb, there was a theft in Bhopal last night. The thief took nothing else, just the comb. This is folk dharma. Your blind, rotten, stinking desires and the means to fulfill them. Chant this mantra, and you will get a son. Why do you want it? Why do you want it? Are the things you ask for even worth asking for? And you stand there. We also pollute our temples. We go there, ring the bell, and say, make it so that I get more bribes. My posting is not happening. Okay. You have gone to ask for this thing at a holy place. Aren't you ashamed? Is calling something that fulfills wishes as dharma? Something else is going on in the name of dharma. And that is a modern form of what has been happening since before. All this manifestation and what did you call it? Affirmation, it's all the same. Affirmation of what? What will a drunkard affirm? Yes. He will affirm again and again. Didn't understand. Forget it. The first thing we need to learn is what is worth wanting. The first lesson of love, and then it is said, what you often write on your posters: desire what was worth desiring, now who cares whether you got it or not. This is desireless love. It's not like first you will want something completely rotten and then you will be busy trying to get it. Sometimes self-help, motivation, manifestation, baba ji, folk religion, jantar mantar, some remedy. This is all folk dharma and absolute foolishness. Don't want anything just like that. The meaning of life is not to want useless things, but to deeply investigate and examine what is worth wanting, and then your heart should be set on it, and then you will not budge, nor will you care what happens next. This is true dharma. Mamam sharanam vraja. Not 100 desires, but one. One, just one, that's what you want. Do you understand? Instead of breaking coconuts, break ignorance. Break ignorance. And if you have to break a coconut, then the feeling should be that this is my skull. And in it is all my filth. So, while breaking it, say, yes, this is self-purification. I have broken my own skull. Okay. People will think that okay, the girl is cultured. Greetings to all. My name is Akanksha Mahajan, and I am a teacher. I connected with Acharya Ji 3 years ago. Before that, I used to listen to him on YouTube. But after I got married, a very big change came in my life. Before marriage, I always lived like a free bird, without any restrictions, nothing. After marriage, I felt that life had changed. At that time, when Acharya Ji came into my life, I got clarity. I truly understood what love means. What are real relationships? What should be the foundation of real relationships? I used to think that I am a very spiritual person. But after connecting with the sessions, I realized what spirituality truly means. I got answers to all my questions after connecting with the sessions.
