Let's get into every running back and wide receiver matchup for this week. We're going to combine these two videos into one this week. You tell us if you like that, if you prefer the combined version or if you prefer the separate version, but we figured we'd try it and see how you like it. It's becoming a little bit more intuitive who you're starting and sitting. So, we're going to spend a little bit less time on the analysis part here. Um, and more time on the ones that are actually trivial.
A trivial one to start here. Um, Miami Atlanta. Um, for Miami, you're going to start Devon Achane. He's in the A tier for us. It's a neutral matchup for the Miami Dolphins.
Alie Gordon's in the H tier and he's a sit for us on the Atlanta side of the ball. It's a very good matchup for Bijan. Obviously, the Miami Dolphins are allowing the third most points to running backs in advantage football right now. Bijan's a start. Tyler Allgeier, I'm going to put as a meh. I think the running back twos in this offense against Miami. Um, for the last couple weeks, all there have been two running backs that have produced in the last couple weeks against this defense. So, I think Tyler Allgeier is a nice flex option here. Um, I think there's a good chance he scores a touchdown this week. I'm pretty sure he will actually. And so, I'm going to put him as a meh. He might be somebody you plug in, but it is all green lights for the Atlanta Falcons, who are starting Bijan for sure and you're thinking about starting Tyler Allgeier this week as well.
So then we've got uh De'Von Achane and Derrick Henry in the Chicago Baltimore matchup. Pretty solid matchup for both of these guys. De'Von Achane obviously on a tear independent of you know the guys that he's going up against. But this week especially um with the Baltimore Ravens front, they really have allowed a lot of production to running backs this season. Actually the second most amount of points allowed to fantasy running backs this season. So definitely going to have Achane as a start this week in the B tier.
Miyan Williams after having a nice productive week last week against New Orleans. We're going to be a little conservative with him and say let's let's sit him this week. I'm not really confident that he's going to maintain that volume this week, but we can reevaluate if we see like multiple weeks of Miyan Williams getting this work. Um Derrick Henry on the flip side, he's a must start as well in the B tier. Um go ahead and and go with him. Neutral matchup going up against Chicago's run defense, which has allowed a decent amount of production to running backs. Nothing crazy. Uh Justice Hill will be a sit in the H tier.
Then we go to Buffalo and Carolina. Um a lot more straightforward with Buffalo. Again, it's James Cook. It's nobody else. James Cook A tier. I know he's had a couple of down weeks before the by-week. Um but behind him, Ty Johnson and Ray Davis both in the I tier there sits. James Cook if he finds the end zone and he has a good chance of finding the end zone. Um we will be pretty confident that he's going to have a a good matchup, a good week.
Uh Rico Dowdle and Chuba Hubbard are really the tough ones to evaluate here because you saw them pretty much with an even split in terms of snap share and touches last week. Chuba has the passing down ability. Um Rico Dowdle is probably your more between the tackles type of running back who honestly is probably going to get like a good amount of red zone usage. The reason it was so ugly for them in the Jets matchup last week is they what did they only score like 13 points in that game and now you don't have Bryce Young playing. I honestly think they're probably going to try to establish the run quite a bit in this matchup. And if they end up down like by a lot against Buffalo, it might be tough for them to run the ball. So, it's going to be shaky for both of these guys. But like Avery said, with all these by-weeks, six teams on by, >> I think you have to start Rico Dowdle and Chuba Hubbard this week. Like to see them in that Jets matchup combined for like what was over 30 touches between those running backs. Like they are both viable flex options. We're going to have to flush out like who's going to be the top option there long term if either of them are going to be. It might just be an ugly split between the two of them. But again, of all the weeks that you would have to start these guys, it would be this week because they also do have a friendly matchup where Buffalo is allowed the fifth most amount of points to fantasy running backs this season.
>> All right, the Jets Cincinnati game. We'll start with Breece Hall and Chase Brown. Breece Hall is going to be in the B tier, Chase Brown in the C tier. It's a better matchup for these New York Jets. The uh the Bengals are allowing the second most amount of points this year to running backs in fantasy football. But Israel Abanikanda is still going to be somebody I think we have to sit in the F tier here. He's too far down our rankings to recommend him as a start. On the Cincinnati side, it's a neutral matchup against the Jets. Um but Chase Brown, I think again with the by-weeks, you've got to start him. We've got him in the C tier this week anyways. And Tom Pernell, you still don't feel comfortable starting in the H tier.
Onto the San Francisco Houston matchup. Uh you obviously are starting Christian McCaffrey in the S tier. No questions. Brian Robinson, the other hand, we have in the G tier. I don't feel super comfortable starting B. Rob. I'm going to just say sit for him. Uh it's neutral matchups for both sides. So for the Houston side of things, I'm going to say start for Dameon Pierce. We have him in the F tier, but you know, I I view him as like an Allgeier Aaron Jones type guy this week. Maybe maybe a tier above. Um he did still get the volume there last week, and Nick Chubb did not. And so I'm going to go start for Dameon Pierce in the F tier. I'm going to go meh for Nick Chubb in the G tier. Again, two guys you're going to have to consider starting heavily consider starting this week with the by-weeks. Um but you know, the matchups in this one are neutral. Who knows what the scoring is going to be like in this game. The Vegas lights are red and yellow, so it might be a lower scoring game. We'll see. Um, but still worth noting. And obviously, you know, the headline of this game is going to be Christian McCaffrey anyways.
>> Yeah. Then we got Cleveland and New England. This is going to be a rock fight, I would assume, on uh the ground where I don't know how much production either of these running backs are going to get on either side. Two very, very good run defenses. You have New England who's allowed the fifth least amount of points to running backs this season. And then Cleveland on the flip side who has allowed the least amount of uh fantasy points to running backs. So with Jerome Ford, like after a three touchdown, 26-point uh game for Ford last week against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL in Miami, I mean, you're essentially flipping the script this week. Uh you've seen what Rhamondre Stevenson's floor has been in the past and that's obviously going to be a risk. But again, Rhamondre Stevenson rest of season is still going to be top 15 running back, debatably top 12 running back depending on how high or low you are. But uh with Jerome Ford um he's he's going to be in the B tier this week. He's the only reason he's not in the A tier honestly is because he's has a really really tough matchup.
Jalen Warren and Pierre Strong Jr. H and I tiers respectively there sits. Rhamondre Stevenson um for New England is going to be in the D tier. He had the best performance that we've seen in quite a while um last week against Tennessee. Um 18 carries, 88 yards, and a touchdown. 16 points. So that was really really good for him. Uh hopefully he can continue that this week. Maybe he's he's probably going to raise his floor. He's going to have to get some receiving usage like he did earlier in the season with like 35 and three targets. His usage has gone down quite a bit over the last month. But um that that again kind of same discussion as Jerome Ford here, but to a lesser degree like his floor is pretty low. Um and you definitely don't trust Ezekiel Elliott behind him. But again, with that volume that you saw last week uh with Rhamondre Stevenson with his snap share going up, Stevenson's going down 75% snap share, which is the highest we've seen all season for Rhamondre Stevenson, uh he's a must start in the D tier. Um and then Ezekiel Elliott's going to be a sit from here on out.
And then we got Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs in the Giants Philly matchup. This one a lot more straightforward. Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs, both B tier running backs this week. Solid matchup for Saquon Barkley. Green matchup light for him. You got the eighth most amount of points to fantasy running backs allowed by the Philadelphia Eagles defense. Um, as good as the Eagles are as a squad, they have they have been a little vulnerable on the run. Uh, Ty Montgomery did salvage his week last week coming back healthy with a touchdown. He ended up with 10 points, but he's going to be in the F tier this week. I'm not comfortable starting him. Um, and then the guys behind Saquon, Matt Breida and Eric Gray, they're not going to be able to get anything going. Saquon's been struggling to get anything going, which is why he's in the B tier and not up there in the A tier right now.
We'll move to the Tampa Bay, New Orleans game. We're going to have Rachaad White as the starter this week. So far, we still haven't heard as of today's recording about Bucky Irving at all. Um, I would assume he's not going to play, but I haven't heard anything still. It just doesn't seem optimistic for his outlook. If Bucky plays, you're obviously going to start him and sit Rachaad White. But I think for this week right now, we're going to have Rachaad White as a start, Sean Tucker as a sit, and we have Rachaad White in the B tier and Sean Tucker as an H tier. Again, in the event that Bucky does not play, um, a a good matchup on the other side for New Orleans. Tampa Bay has not been great against running backs this year. Alvin Kamara, you're going to have to start. Jamaal Williams becomes the backup running back in in New Orleans after you have Kendre Miller going out with a torn ACL. He's in the I tier. I'm going to have him as a sit as well.
In the Dallas Denver game. It's a better matchup for Denver than it is Dallas. We're going to have Javonte Williams in the A tier. He's been absolutely killing it recently. They have to score 40 points a game. You got to start him. So A tier for Javonte Williams, I tier for Jaleel McLaughlin. And it's a neutral matchup for Dallas. And like I said, a good matchup for Denver. We're going to have J.K. Dobbins as a start this week. Rico Dowdle as a meh for this week. We're going to have J.K. Dobbins in the B tier and Rico Dowdle in the F tier. We're going to have Tyler Batty as well on here and he's going to be in the I tier and he's going to be a sit for us. And so, um, you know, realistically, the two the two running backs in this game you feel comfortable starting are Dobbins and Williams and you can maybe flex Dowdle if you need to at this point.
>> Uh, we got Tennessee and Indy. The only guy that I'm really comfortable starting in this matchup. Um, he's elite. He's amazing start. Don't start anybody else behind him. Also, this is a very friendly matchup. You saw him pop off against Tennessee um about a month ago where he had a 30 plus point performance. I mean, honestly, I would expect potentially the same thing this week. Um, on the flip side, you got Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears who have been splitting the backfield. What you did see was an increase in snap share for Pollard last week against New England and a decrease in snap share for Tyjae Spears with six targets for Pollard. So, he actually outtargeted Tyjae Spears in that matchup. This is a really, really tough matchup for both of these guys. I think you have to start Tony Pollard again with the by-weeks this week. We're going to have him in the D tier. and he did have a double-digit performance against the Colts by salvaging his day with a touchdown um the first time they played this season. So hopefully he can get that same amount of volume, maybe get some touchdowns. But again, if they're down in a lot of this game um if they're if they're losing by quite a bit in this matchup, they might have to pass the ball quite a bit. And it's anyone's guess who's going to get the receiving work there if it's going to be Pollard or Tyjae Spears just based on what we saw last week where Pollard actually got the upper hand. So that's why I'm going to have Spears listed as a meh even though he's in the F tier. You may have to start both of these guys again depending on by-weeks, but I would give the upper hand to Pollard at this point just because of snap share alone and what he's getting on the ground over Spears.
And then we got Josh Jacobs and Jaylen Warren in the Green Bay and Pittsburgh matchup. A and B tier respectively. Those are the only two guys that we're comfortable starting in this matchup. Emanuel Wilson and Cordarrelle Patterson are uh their backups. They're not going to get a ton of usage here. Neutral matchup for Jacobs against Pittsburgh's run defense. It's going to be tougher for Jaylen Warren against Green Bay. He will probably have to raise his floor with his receiving usage, which we've seen demonstrated in the past because I don't think he's going to be as efficient on the ground that as he was against Cincinnati last Thursday.
And then Austin Ekeler, Kenneth Gainwell, I'll just close it up here with the running backs. Washington and Kansas City here. Uh D tier for both of these running backs. I'm going to go start for both of them. Uh Austin Ekeler, his volume has stayed up. He definitely looks to be the guy there in terms of usage. and there's no Jayden Daniels. So, they may have to try to get him going and see if they can have some sort of advantage there at the running back position if they want to stay competitive in this Kansas City game. They're going to have to slow the game down early if they want to have a chance in keeping this competitive. Um so, we'll we'll see if Austin Ekeler can do anything um in a tough matchup against Kansas City's front four. Um they've allowed the sixth least amount of points to fantasy running backs this season. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams behind them are sits and then Jerick McKinnon and Isiah Pacheco behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire are sits right now. Isiah Pacheco's usage has been going up incrementally over the last few weeks, which is very very good for you Pacheco owners. And it makes me comfortable to say like, yeah, I would start him this week because if um there's there's a chance that Kansas City gets the lead very early in this game and Washington's game plan doesn't work and then they just kind of establish the run and try to uh run out the clock for the rest of the day like they did against Vegas. That's very possible with no Jayden Daniels. Uh we'll see what happens here, but I I think Pacheco is a pretty solid start.
>> All right, let's move over to wide receivers now. Again, we're going to combine these this week. We'll start with Miami Atlanta. We'll start on the Miami side. Uh this is a tough matchup for Miami. Atlanta has been extremely good against wide receivers this year. But Jaylen Waddle still going to be a start for us in the D tier. And Malik Washington a sit for us in the I tier. Also a very tough matchup for the Atlanta Falcons here. Miami, while they've been really bad against running backs. They're not that bad against wide receivers. The seventh least amount of points to wide receivers this year in fantasy football. So for that reason, Drake London in the A tier, he is a start for us still. Darnell Mooney in the F tier is going to be a meh for us. Worth noting that Drake London has typically had a lot lower ceiling when Darnell Mooney's on the field. We'll see if that comes to fruition in this game, but it is worth noting that as well. Um, again, we're starting the alphas here in London and Waddle this week in this matchup.
>> And we got Chicago and Baltimore. The only two guys that I'm comfortable starting in this matchup are going to be DJ Moore and Zay Flowers, the respective wide receiver ones in each of their offenses. You've got a very, very good matchup for Chicago going up against Baltimore secondary, who's allowed the fourth most amount of points to wide receivers this year. Um, and honestly pretty solid for Zay Flowers as well. Chicago has allowed a lot of production to uh receivers the ninth most uh this season. So with Lamar Jackson coming back healthy, I do feel good about Zay Flowers. I think his floor is just very high with the volume that he's going to get here. A and B tier for Moore and Flowers respectively.
Cole Kmet at this point, guys, I just want to highlight him because I think a lot of people are going to be tempted to potentially flex him this week. And if you can help it, I would avoid it. Cole Kmet is averaging nine and a half points per game this season. He is the tight end 49 on the year. Rashod Bateman is a better start than Cole Kmet and that that is like I'm not exaggerating there. Alec Pierce is a better start than Cole Kmet this season. He is I mean even in a good matchup I don't feel good about Cole Kmet. I don't think anybody does like he it is not good for Cole Kmet. So I'm I'm not starting him this week. I'm sorry. Curtis Samuel behind him in the I tier is also going to be a sit with Dante Pettis in there um as a sit as well. Kind of a deep threat.
Khalil Shakir and Terrace Marshall Jr. the top two guys, top two options for Buffalo and Carolina in that matchup. Andy Dalton has shown that he can help um wide receivers produce in that offense in the past. So, I think Terrace Marshall will be fine. I'm cool starting him this week. Khalil Shakir, you know exactly what he is, right? He can have a double digit 15-point game or he could have seven or eight points depending on his target volume, kind of the game script, how it's going in this matchup. Is James Cook going to get a ton of touchdowns or is it going to be the tight ends? Is it going to be Shakir? you know, you just don't really know any given week, but this is one where I'm comfortable starting both of these guys because you got Josh Allen throwing the ball to Shakir. Um he's a solid flex option and then Terrace Marshall. He is a number one in an offense that likes to get into the ball. Hopefully his volume can go up this week. Uh but behind them, Keon Coleman and Xavier Legette, I'm not really buying the uh Legette hype after one week of him, you know, having a phenomenal showing of like 24 25 points. It was pretty wild. Um I don't feel comfortable starting him this week. I I do think that was kind of a a sham of a showing. um in in last week's performance. But with the same thing with Keon Coleman, like we've seen this before where Keon just pops off and then he's irrelevant. They're very similar honestly in terms of uh skill set and what they offer in their respective offenses. We'll have them as H tier sits. And with Jaylen Naylor as well, who's just going to be eased into that offense long term. Maybe he ends up being relevant later, but he's a sit as well.
Moving to a very ugly game in the Jets Cincinnati game. This Jets team's not been fantasy productive recently. And the wide receiver one for the New York Jets this week is Allen Lazard in the H tier. Sit. Tyler Boyd not ranked. Don't don't play him now. Garrett Wilson, if he does play in this game, we just don't know if he will. He's obviously going to be a start. You're starting Garrett Wilson every time he plays. As of right now, he's questionable. Hopeful for week eight, we've heard nothing about practice or anything like that. So, we're going to act like worst case scenario, but if he does play, we're going to start him, of course, and he's probably going to be uh an A or B tier guy for us.
Cincinnati side of the ball, you've got Ja'Marr Chase in the S tier, and you got Tee Higgins in the C tier. Neutral matchup for them, but you're going to start them both. Sauce Gardner was a little bit shaken up in last week's game. I'm assuming he's on track to play this week, but it is worth noting as Sauce Gardner is going to be on Ja'Marr Chase the whole game. And the other thing about Sauce Gardner guarding Ja'Marr Chase is he can't guard Ja'Marr Chase. He can't. Nobody can guard Ja'Marr Chase, but he he can't. So >> Sauce had a concussion, didn't he? >> Yeah. So that's what I'm saying. I don't know if Sauce is even playing. >> Yeah, this will be a good day for Chase. >> And Chase is going to eat. I mean, it's going to be every day, but yeah, he is in concussion protocol as of eight hours ago. And so, um, I I think it ends up being Ja'Marr Chase just absolutely eats in this game. And Tee Higgins, I would start as well with Joe Flacco. I'm very comfortable starting Tee Higgins in my flex spot every week now.
Um and then on the San Francisco Houston game, Kendrick Bourne, um you know, he's been good obviously, but it's been, you know, three points against uh Atlanta. Obviously, they just literally literally every play was Christian McCaffrey. They didn't throw it or give it to anybody else the whole game. So, Kendrick Bourne only had two targets, they didn't throw the ball to anybody else. They just when they weren't running the ball, they were throwing it to him. Very injured right now. I I literally can't believe that happened. It was incredible to watch when they weren't running the ball. He was in the slot and they were throwing it to him. >> They have other players. >> He He looked like the best wide receiver in that offense. >> He looked like the best wide receiver in the game. He looked better than London. >> Yeah, he did. >> Um, okay. So, Brandon Aiyuk crashing out now. Um, Kendrick Bourne. I I He's a meh. Like, realistically, he's a meh. Jauan Jennings is somebody that um he has been playing, but you know, from a production standpoint, it's not been there pretty much all year. I'm going to say he's a meh as well. I don't love starting these guys to be honest. On the other side of the ball, it looks like Nico Collins could be the wide receiver one there. Tank Dell has a concussion. Obviously, you start Tank Dell if he plays, but if he doesn't, Nico Collins, I'm going to say sit. I don't I'm not buying that. I'll say meh. I I'm fine with that. Xavier Hutchinson, I'll say meh. Jaylen Hull, I want to add on here. He's not ranked. I would say Jaylen Hull should be ranked on here and I would add him as a meh as well. But H tier, F tier, and F tier for these three guys. I mean, it's ugly. You really don't want to start any wide receivers in the San Francisco Houston game to be honest with you. So,
>> so then we got an ugly matchup again. Cleveland and New England here. The wide receivers in this offense in both offenses are not that pretty. But Stefon Diggs I do feel the best about here. We're going to put him in the D tier. Uh very up and down with his target volume all year. It's been like 7, 5, 3, 7, 2, 3 and then seven against Tennessee. Uh, look, Demario Douglas is going to be like the Demario Douglas, sorry, is going to be like the touchdown or bust type of guy here. And Stefon Diggs any given week can get he's capable of getting good enough volume to raise his floor that week. You just don't know what weeks that are that's going to be. Now, to match up against Cleveland, I do think this is more friendly for the number one receiver there than it is going to be for the number one running back there because of how good Cleveland's run defense is. Their run defense is a lot better than their pass defense. And again, their defense as a whole is really solid. But I would rather take Cleveland secondary than I would Miles Garrett. So, we'll see if Drake Maye can get the ball to Stefon Diggs consistently this week and he'll have a productive day. Going to list him as a start, but Demario Douglas and Jalen Hurd behind him. I don't feel comfortable starting either of those guys. They'll be sits.
Then on the flip side with Cleveland, you've got Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore, and then whoever else is relevant or healthy there. Like Amari Cooper's kind of the wide receiver one there, and he's very inconsistent producing. Uh Jeudy has been one of the biggest disappointments honestly in fantasy this season. He's been abysmal after a wide receiver one performance last year. H tier now. I'm I'm not starting him. He's he's a sit. Everybody behind him is a sit. Jerome Ford's the only relevant and maybe Cooper the only relevant fantasy assets in this matchup.
Then we got Parris Campbell and A.J. Brown as the two number ones in the Giants and Philly matchup. Uh Parris Campbell only guy on the Giants side that I'm comfortable starting. We're going to have him in the D tier. Uh he gets good enough volume to kind of raise his floor. Um, his ceiling can be highish, but it's not going to you're not going to see it like all the time. More often than not, you're probably going to see like anywhere from 8 to 15 points most weeks for Parris Campbell and then maybe trickle in like a 20 plus pointer every once in a while if he gets like a 60-yard touchdown because he is capable of that. Um, but Isaiah Hodgins behind him is a is a sit. Uh, then you got A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. We'll list both of them as starts. I mean, honestly, the difference between A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith has been very marginal this season. Um, A.J. Brown is the schematic one. DeVonta Smith is a schematic two, but from a fantasy perspective, they are literally peas in a pod. Very high ceiling. Their their ceilings are equivalent. Their floors are equivalent. So, they'll both be in the B tier in a nice matchup where the Giants have allowed the third most amount of points to fantasy wide receivers this season. If you remember that last matchup, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith were were both very disappointing. Um, but DeVonta Smith, if you remember in that game, had a wide open like free touchdown and Jalen Hurts overthrew him. I think you're probably going to see them execute a little better in this matchup and kind of correct what they got wrong the last time that they went up against the the Giants and you'll see a big game for uh one or both of these guys.
Let's go to the Tampa Bay New Orleans game now. Uh we'll start with Mike Evans in the B tier. Chris Godwin in the B tier uh for the New Orleans. It looks like that Mike Evans is going to be the wide receiver one there almost rest of the season. Chris Olave broken clavicle. Rashid Shaheed not really playing. It's bad. Um he's going to be a start for us. Rashid Shaheed in the F tier is going to be a meh for us. Sterling Shepard in the F tier is going to be a sit for us. I'd rather start probably Rashid Shaheed, but maybe I don't know. I'll put Sterling Shepard as a meh as well. I don't know who it's going to be there to be honest with you volume wise. Um on the New Orleans side, Chris Olave in the B tier, he'll be a start and Rashid Shaheed in the F tier will be a meh for us. It's neutral matchups for this game, so nothing crazy. Just start the starters and the flex guys are going to be um you know, shaky starts at best.
The Dallas Denver game, we've got our two alpha wide receivers in the A tier, CeeDee Lamb and Courtland Sutton, and then George Pickens we're going to have in the D tier, Troy Franklin in the H tier, Marvin Mims in the H tier as well. It's a good matchup for Denver. So Courtland Sutton moves up to the A tier because of that. It's a bad matchup for Dallas and for CeeDee Lamb with Patrick Surtain II shadowing him all day. Um it may be a maybe a George Pickens game. That's why we're saying definitely start George Pickens here. Um but but Surtain's obviously going to do a good job on CeeDee. So instead of CeeDee being S tier, he's A tier this week. That being said, you're still starting Lamb, Sutton, and Pickens easily in this matchup. Not even thinking about it.
>> All right, then I'll close it out here with the last three matchups. Tennessee and Indy. Um Michael Pittman Jr. is going to be the only guy here that I'm like totally comfortable starting. He's been very consistent, very reliable for the Colts. He's going to be in the C tier here and what is a neutral matchup in terms of uh receiving capability for guys for receivers that go up against Tennessee secondary. Uh last time they played Tennessee, just for reference, Pittman had a solid day. He had a touchdown, six targets, six receptions, 19 points on the day. So, he's been doing that a lot uh this season. He's he's kind of a wide receiver two you're you're very excited about him every week when you put him in your flex. Josh Downs and Alec Pierce are both going to be mehs. Uh I think Pierce you're a lot more excited about starting if Josh Downs isn't good to go after he was in concussion protocol in the middle of last week during practice. So we'll see if he's ready to go in this matchup against Tennessee. But both of these guys again going up against Tennessee either one of them could uh have a solid day. And Pierce has had some has some very productive days. He's kind of a a deep threat and has been getting some more like short to intermediate work as well. Um they've been a little more creative with his usage. But then you look at Tennessee and you've got DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks and both guys I don't really see a difference between either of them in this matchup. Hopkins may or may not play. We'll see what happens with him. I know he had a hamstring injury a couple of weeks ago and he's missed some time. Um he was again he didn't play against New England. We haven't heard any report on what his status is going to be in this matchup. But honestly, if Hopkins doesn't play and Burks is the number one there with the Colts secondary and how just kind of screwed they are right now, might be a decent flex option given all the by-weeks. So, I'm going to list both of them as mehs and Van Jefferson is a sit behind that. So, we got four mehs in this matchup.
Uh Green Bay and Pittsburgh a little more clearcut and dry here. You got two receivers for Green Bay that have gotten the most consistent um receiving usage and that is Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson. Doubs has been consistently productive the last couple of weeks. Watson just continues to get the same amount of work that he's been getting and we're just waiting for him really to get into the end zone. He hasn't found the end zone yet this season. Um but this is a matchup against Pittsburgh where they just allowed a lot of production to Ja'Marr Chase. Higgins obviously their secondary isn't that great. In fact, they've allowed the sixth most amount of points to fantasy wide receivers this season. So, I feel pretty good about that for both of these guys. Again, given the by-weeks, you're generally not considering Christian Watson putting him in your flex spots. This would be the this would be the week that you would have to do it. Um Diontae Johnson on the flip side, I would be expecting a big week from Diontae Johnson. Uh again, kind of a boom bust guy. I would expect a boom week against Green Bay secondary. I saw a stat earlier today where Green Bay is like top of the league in terms of contested catch rate allowed. It's like 62% and that's Diontae Johnson's bread and butter as a deep threat contested catch situations. I think they're going to put him in situations where he can bring those down and he's very capable of doing it in this matchup against Green Bay. Like he of of all the types of wide receivers that they would allow to have a big day. It would be a Diontae Johnson type of wide receiver. Um their corners have just been getting mossed. Calvin Austin behind him is going to be in the H tier. Nobody's relevant at wide receiver beyond him.
And then closing it out with Washington and Kansas City. Hopefully Deebo Samuel is healthy and good to go this week. I know he was close to playing last week. They ended up sitting him with no Jayden Daniels. You're obviously worried there. Um, but he's going to be in the C tier as a start, as would Terry McLaurin, honestly, if he's healthy and good to go this week. Marcus Mariota has his shortcomings, but he can distribute the ball competently on what is a competent enough offense. Um, and again, if they're down in a lot, down a lot in this game, then they're going to have to start passing the ball pretty early, like as early as the second quarter and onward if the Chiefs just walk all over Washington. Um, but Chris Moore we're going to have listed as a sit in the H tier. Rashee Rice is going to be a start in the A tier and then again with the by-weeks. Kadarius Toney, he he's we're going to have him as a as a start this week. Most weeks you're thinking about sitting him. Um, but behind him you got Marquez Valdes-Scantling who got a touchdown last week. Again, he's kind of touchdown or bust. He's going to be in the G tier. Um, but again, Deebo, Rashee and Toney and then maybe Terry are going to be the guys that we're comfortable starting this week.
