All right. So, today was a total disaster for Donald Trump, but a huge win for justice because, as you probably saw by now, there was a press conference on Capitol Hill among Epstein survivors. These courageous, powerful, inspiring women came forward to detail their stories and talk about the horrific crimes that were committed against them and the people around them. They demanded the release of the Epstein files.
Meanwhile, while all of this was going on, Donald Trump called it a hoax, said that it's the Democrats pushing this when in reality Republicans and Democrats are pushing for the files to be released. And Trump's comments calling it a hoax has drawn condemnation from not only the Democrats, but also Republicans like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who you can see on your screen right now. I really thought I'd never be saying this, but MTG was quite forceful in her call out of Donald Trump and the members of his administration for covering up this story and for downplaying the experiences of these women.
So, I want to play this clip for you where she appeared on Real America's Voice. It's a news network. News might be a generous label. And she talked about the press conference, Donald Trump's comments. But before I do so, I want to show you more expansive comments she made about the press conference. And in some of these, she really exposed the White House and the extent to which they're going to cover up the story. Let's just start here, which is quite revealing. She says she got a lot of push back and phone call after phone call from the White House last night trying to discourage her from signing on to the Epstein discharge petition. This is the effort to get the Department of Justice to release all the Epstein files, not just some of the Epstein files.
Just think about what we just read. The White House is actively trying to protect the worst sex trafficker in modern American history. The victims, their families, their lawyers are all saying, "We want transparency. We want the documents out there." And Donald Trump is saying, "Don't think so. Sorry. We got to protect my former best bud, Jeffrey Epstein." That's the position of the White House. They are protecting a criminal and not even considering the people who are the victims of that criminal. And this is coming from Marjorie Taylor Green, no Democrat. So before the MAGAs can get in the comments and saying, "Oh, it's the liberals. Spare me." I mean, seriously.
She also blamed the staff, not the president, and ripped into the White House official who called the petition a hostile act, calling the official a coward. Now, of course, it's still Marjorie Taylor Green. We got to ground ourselves. She's still in the MAGA cult. She will never directly and only go after Donald Trump. But for her, for her standards, this is pretty impressive in terms of a call out. She accused them, the White House, of hating Massie, who helped organize this press conference, more than any Democrat, and said they don't want to work with Democrats at all. She also told Trump she wants him to invite Epstein survivors to the Oval Office so he can be a champion for them on this issue. That's never going to happen. He might invite them to the White House. Number one, I don't think they'd go. But also number two, this is a guy who was best friends with Epstein. Best friends said he liked loved liked younger women, women on the younger side in the early 2000s, right? Said that Epstein abducted women from his Mar-a-Lago club and then brought them into his horrific world of crime. This is not somebody who will ever be a champion on this issue. So again, got to ground ourselves. Remember, it's Marjorie Taylor Green.
But she also said she disagreed with Trump referring to the calls for more Epstein info, a hoax, and hopes he changes his mind. And that brings us to this clip of Marjorie Taylor Green where she uh talked about it in this interview. So, I'm going to play the whole thing. We'll talk about it after. Take a look.
"Today, he called it a hoax while these these women were speaking out and they were saying, 'We're not a hoax. We're human beings.' And um and I think I think we need to see see something turn around there. And I'll say this, He can prove he can prove it's a hoax by releasing it. Let us let us decide if it's a hoax or not. I mean, I don't I I I love everything they're doing. I, you know, I'm MAGA through and through. Well, I just want to finish up on one thing. It's not a hoax because Jeffrey Epstein is a convicted pedophile. That takes away the whole hoax things. It's not a hoax. It's not a lie. And on that note, um, Eric, every Republican should be able to sign on to this. And and that's the real hoax that they're afraid to sign on to it because somebody who, you know, who is a real coward from one of the Trump admin officials came out and called this a hostile act against the Trump administration. And I take very big offense to that because I put my life and my fortune on the line fighting to get that man elected. And whoever said that has their job because of people like me that fought to the horrible Republicans that stabbed him in the back after January 6. And and I was one of those that fought on the front lines and said, 'No, he is the leader of our party. He is the president and we're going to make him president again.' Well, that coward uh attacked me and attacked anybody else and called it a hostile act. The hostile act was Jeffrey Epstein raping 14-year-old girls. That was the hostile act and it's not a hoax."
So, a lot of good in what she said in terms of it not being a hoax that these are real women. But then, of course, she had to go on her tirade involving January 6 and talking about how loyal she is to Donald Trump. But just, you know, I just noticed this in the middle of the clip. Just take a look at how trash this news network is. This is why you can't listen to networks like this. It says on the on the chyron, "Trump fights to stop injustice." Donald Trump is actively covering up injustice. How do they not see the irony here? This guy's like, "I'm and you know, MAGA through and through." And this is the chyron on their newslet network.
But it is worth pointing out that you have Marjorie Taylor Green, the most Republican member of Congress. You have this MAGA host who describes himself as MAGA through and through. And they're saying, "Hey, release the files." And talk about a cover-up. I mean, with everything that Donald Trump is doing, with the phone calls that Marjorie Taylor Green got, the comment that it's a hostile thing, it's, you know, not just the Trump administration, it's also the his friends in the media. I mean, just take a look at this. Every major news network today, while the press conference was going on, MSNBC, Scripps, ABC, CNN, C-SPAN, all of them were covering the press conference. What was Fox News doing? Oh, well, they were covering Donald Trump in the Oval Office. You can see them on the bottom right. That's what Fox News was doing. That's what we call a media cover-up. That's what it is. When Fox News is going dark on this story, they're not even bringing it up. It's not even a topic of conversation on their network. That's a cover-up. They are actively assisting the president of the United States in protecting a criminal. Let's just be honest about this. It's no more mincing words or being nice. That's what's happening.
And this is not the only attempt that Fox and others in the media and of course Donald Trump uh tried to hurt this press conference, silence these women. They also had a flyover in the middle of while in the middle of of these allegations, these horrific crimes being outlined by these women. The White House flew jets over Washington D.C., making it incredibly hard to hear the victims. Just take a look at this clip. It is so outrageous.
"Department of Justice telling me that this was going to happen when it had already happened. This woman abused children. Absolutely disgraceful. I mean, this brave woman is in the middle of detailing what happened to her and the people around her. And uh Donald Trump and his administration just conveniently timed a flyover to happen at the exact same time."
Trump and his admin are telling people not to sign on to the petition. They are silencing women with jets. Fox News isn't covering it. I mean, we have never seen a more clear cover-up of this story than what we're witnessing right now. And it's so bad that even someone like Marjorie Taylor Green is calling it out. And this speaks to the importance of our elected officials because at the end of the day, if we didn't have a Republican House, we didn't have a Republican Senate, the files could be out by now. But since Republicans control these chambers, we have to have this conversation of will they, won't they? And it's incredibly frustrating. And that's why when I saw this news earlier today, I just had to bring your attention to it because this is one of the most important races and it's something that we have to be laser-focused on, especially with stories like this because Senate races, House races can make a real difference when we demand transparency and accountability from our government.
We learned earlier today, according to NBC News, a bunch of different outlets, that a Maine brewery owner has joined the race in Maine for the Senate seat against Susan Collins. His name is Dan Kelleher. He launched his Senate campaign. He's joining the crowded Democratic primary. But this is a hardworking guy. This is somebody who if he's nominated, he can very well go on to beat Susan Collins and hopefully help the Democrats claw back some seats in the Senate.
Dan Kelleher is betting that something is brewing in Maine and he's not talking about his company's latest pale ale. Kelleher, a Democrat who's a co-founder of Maine Beer Company, says Mainers have lost confidence in Republican Representative, excuse me, Senator Susan Collins ahead of a re-election race next year. So, he's jumping in the race. Quote, "The cost of living up here is too damn high. People are being squeezed and Susan Collins isn't doing enough to help families out here," Kelleher said in an interview. "People up here are struggling. We're a bunch of hard workers up here. We don't ask for a lot. We don't ask for handouts. All we ask is that we get a fair shake." The race is of course central to any path to a Democratic Senate majority next year when the party needs to net four seats to take control of the chamber.
So look, Maine, I'm I'm going to continue to cover this race on the channel. I made a commitment to you that this is not just about bashing Republicans. It's about uplifting Democrats who can make a difference in government. I'm going to continue to cover this race and of course the Epstein story as a whole. But this is a race to keep your eye on, especially as the Trump admin continues to hurt America more and more. We need all hands on deck and we need as many people in government actually representing us so we can push back on Donald Trump.
So look, I will leave the video there. I just had to cover Marjorie Taylor Green's comments. It's insane. Thank you so much for watching. I greatly appreciate it. Make sure to subscribe to the channel down below. It goes an incredibly long way. Drop a like on the video. Comment. Let me know what you think about this story. And as I always say, I greatly appreciate you and I hope you have an amazing rest of your day.
