Well, there's been a ton of news in the AI world this week, and I want to help you sift through the signal from the noise. So, let's not waste any time and jump right in.
And let's start on Anthropic because lately they have been shipping a new feature pretty much every single day. In fact, this website, the Product Compass, put out an article here where they put together a little calendar that shows they shipped 74 releases in 52 days. Now, we've talked about most of these releases during past weekly roundup videos, but let's talk about some that have come out in the past week here since last Friday. We got cloud tasks, projects and co-work, dom selection, effort and skills, some cloud code updates, computer use, cloud code schedule, cloud, cloud code channels, permission prompts, cloud code channels for teams and enterprise, and well, this chart only went through the 24th. We've even got more since then. We also got the ability to use tools like Figma design, canvas slides, Amplitude dashboards from your mobile phone with Claude, and we got auto mode for Claude code.
Now, let me sort of zoom in for a minute and talk about some of the releases that I think are more impactful to the most amount of people because it's a lot and most of them are for coders. However, this one here felt pretty significant. Put Claude to work on your computer with this feature that rolled out on the 23rd in Claude Co-work and Claude Code. Claude can use your computer to point, click, and complete tasks. So, you can actually give Claude the ability to manipulate your computer, your mouse, and your keyboard now. And since last week they rolled out this dispatch feature, combining the ability to use your computer with this dispatch feature on your phone is really powerful cuz you can be like away from your house and you could need your computer to go and you know do some work on your behalf and you can just sort of text your computer to go and do something for you and it will actually click around and move your mouse and handle that situation for you.
Okay, so here I have the Claude app open on my computer. Now, in order to use this computer use plan, I believe you need to be on one of their paid plans. So, at least like their $20 a month plan. But if you're a paying member, you do need to turn it on. So, if we come into our settings here, come down to the general option under desktop app and then make sure you have computer use turned on. If this little switch isn't turned on in your settings, well, then this feature is not going to work. But with this setting on, I can tell it to open an app and click around for me. So, let's say open Da Vinci Resolve and show me where the magic mask feature is. And then I can click let's go. And then from this point on, I am completely hands off. You can see my screen is now glowing with like a little orange glow around it. It says Claude is using your computer. And I am going to speed this up a little bit because although it's very cool that it can take control of my computer, it's also very, very, very slow right now. And my first attempt didn't even work. It looks like the computer use tools are timing out right now. So, I won't be able to open the app directly. And then it gives me directions on how to do it. Let me just tell it to try again. I promise this did work last time I tested it.
Okay, so this time it appears to be working. You can see Da Vinci Resolve is opening. I'm not actually touching it. Look, hands-free. Da Vinci is opened. It's opening up a video now. Again, I'm still not touching anything. It's on the color page now. And now it got me out of the computer use. Mahodin is explaining how to use it. Now, you probably couldn't tell from the way I edited this, but it's really slow. Like, it took like 5 minutes to open up Da Vinci Resolve, click to the color page, and then tell me where the magic mask button was. But, it can use your computer for you now. So, you might be wondering, what is the point of this if it's going to take like 5 minutes to do a task that normally would take me like 10 seconds to do myself? Well, again, if you combine this with their dispatch feature, which is a feature that allows you to control Claude code and Claude co-work from your phone, you can be away from your computer telling your computer to do things, which if that's the case, you probably don't care as much how long it's taking to do the tasks as long as the tasks actually happen. But if you're actually sitting at your computer trying to get it to do things on your behalf, it is painfully slow. But again, that's just one of the features that they've rolled out within the last few days. Like Anthropic ships something new basically every day. At least one new thing every day, actually.
Like Claude Co-work also got a new projects ability so you can better organize whatever you're working on inside of Claude, as well as give those projects custom instructions so they know how to handle them. So, jumping back into the Claude app here and being in co-work, you can see we now have this work in a project dropdown here and we can create a new project. And I'll just call it start from scratch Matt's example project. And we can give it custom instructions like always respond like a gym bro and call me dude and bro constantly. You can also add files so it better adds context to whatever you're doing. And it works just like projects inside of Claude or ChatGPT or any of the other platforms that have projects. I can click create and say how's it going? And it says hey dude it's going great. Just here ready to crush whatever you throw at me bro. What's up? What can I help you with today? Now, obviously, you probably wouldn't use it in this way. You would give it context around something actually valuable, but you could use it this way. And this is just a silly example.
Like I mentioned earlier, you also got the ability to use Figma designs and create canvas slides and check Amplitude dashboards all from your phone inside the Claude app. Now, and if you use AI for coding, well, this is definitely a welcome feature. Auto mode for Claude code. Now, if you've used Claude code at all, you've probably been in the situation where you give it a prompt and say, "Hey, go build me this feature." And then maybe you walk away from your computer and you come back 20 minutes later thinking the feature will have been built and it'll have something on the screen that'll say, "Do I have permission to browse the web for you?" And you're like, "I thought you were already working this whole time." Yes, you have permission. And then you walk away again. And then you come back and it's like, "Do I have permission to run this terminal command?" And you're like, "Oh my god, why didn't you just do it like you can do that terminal command?" Well, now they turned on auto mode where a lot of the like more benign commands like some of the harmless terminal commands and the ability to go and do like a quick web search for you, it's not going to ask permission anymore, which I think every Claude code user is going to be happy about this simple little feature getting added in.
But Anthropic wasn't the only company that's been in ship mode this week. Another cool new AI tool that I've seen around a lot lately and was curious about myself is called GenSpark. They actually had a pretty big Super Bowl ad recently. It's basically this all-in-one AI workspace. It has all these models and you can make presentations or analyze data and write reports all in one platform. But one of the coolest things about it is that until December 31st, 2026, you can use AI Chat and AI image using these models with unlimited usage if you have their paid plan, which is just 20 bucks a month. And this is pretty great because each of these models, if you wanted unlimited access to them, you'd be paying almost 20 bucks a month separately for each one. And these are some overall pretty great models, but each one kind of has its own specialty. So with GenSpark, it's not just a chat interface. You can actually use these AI models together to help you get real work done a lot faster and cheaper. You can generate presentations, spreadsheets, websites, images, videos, or even full brand assets, all without switching tabs and signing up for another subscription. Like making slide decks is one of those things where AI can help make the process so much faster. So in GenSpark, it will research the topic for you, structure the slides, design the visuals, and export it as a presentation. Google shipped a whole bunch of new releases this week as well, including Gemini 3.1 Flash Live. So this is the Gemini 3.1 Flash model, but it's the model that you actually have conversations with. And they're rolling out this new model inside of everything. It's available in the API. It's available for enterprise users. It's available in their search. It's available in Gemini Live. So if I go over to studio.google.com google.com and I come up to our model up here. I can switch it to live. Gemini 3.1 flashive. And this model you can talk to. You can let it view your webcam. You can share your screen. You could change what the voice sounds like. Let's give it webcam access. What are you looking at right now?

>> Ah, now I see the full screen. It looks like you're using OBS Studio, which is a popular program for streaming and recording. I can see the different scenes you've set up, the audio mixer, and the controls on the right. Is there something specific you wanted to work on within OBS?
>> And I can ask it, you know, how do I do things inside of OBS? Get it to point things out for me. If this is my first time setting up something, it'll help walk me through it because it can see my screen and tell me what to do next. I always thought that Google's live features are super underrated and not talked about enough because you could literally get it to like teach you how to do things, just show your screen and have it walk you through stuff. And it's pretty impressive when you do.
This is also a feature they're adding into search. When you go live with search, you can have an interactive multimodal conversation in AI mode. So, if I open up the Google app on my phone here, I could click on this little button next to AI mode with the little star on it. What's something that quietly changed the world this week?
>> Well, there were several quiet shifts. For one, Google upgraded its LIIA AI to create longer, more structured songs, giving users more control over their music creation. And Microsoft introduced a feature called Copilot Health, which can connect to medical records. Was there something specific you were interested in?
>> Quite honestly, it feels like what Siri should have been.
And since we're talking about Gemini 3.1 Flash, Google also showed off something really interesting on X this week that I wanted to spotlight. They actually showed off that they used Gemini 3.1 Flashlight to create a browser that whenever you type anything or search anything or click anything, it literally generates a new page in real time. Now, this feels very similar to what we got out of that webim app that came out a couple years ago, but this one was completely vibecoded inside of Google. So, if I go full screen with this, I can type anything I want here. Taco Cat Parade. If I do this search, we can see it's literally generating a page in real time. This is a page that didn't exist before. And it does it like almost instantly. This page was generated really quickly and completely on the fly. And if I click on schedule up here, we can see it's generating a brand new page. This is something that never existed before. And this is generating in real time. Unfortunately, there's no like actual memory to this. So, none of these pages that it's creating is like being saved or actually usable beyond this sort of novelty play around and show off what it can do use case. But, I think it's pretty impressive how fast it's generating all of this in real time.
And if you haven't been using Google's AI products, but maybe you want to move, but you're worried that, well, I've got all of my memory inside of ChatGPT or Claude. Well, Google took a play out of Anthropic's playbook and made it very easy to migrate over. If you move over to Gemini, you can bring your memories, preferences, and chat history from other AI apps over. So, back when all of the Anthropic and OpenAI and Pentagon drama was going on, a lot of people decided they wanted to leave OpenAI. And well, Anthropic capitalized on that and said, "Hey, it's really easy to migrate to us. You could bring all of your memory and history and preferences over with you." Fast forward a couple weeks later and Gemini is like, "That was a good idea. You could do that with us, too."
But that wasn't all that Google shipped this week. In fact, we already got a little bit of a teaser when I was playing around with that live AI feature earlier. They also released Lia 3 Pro, which is kind of like Google's version of Sunno, where you can have it generate any music you want. And in the past, it was only generating like 30 second songs, but now you can generate much longer songs with it. This advanced version allows the creation of tracks up to 3 minutes long. You can now prompt for specific elements like intros, verses, choruses, and bridges. And they seem to be rolling it out into like every product. It's in Vertex. It's in Google AI Studio. the Gemini API, Google Vids, the Gemini app, Producer AI. So, if I jump into Gemini here, there's a little button that says create music. If I click on this, we get some like templates that we can work off of, or we can just describe our own track. Create a dubstep song about rooting for the San Diego Padres. And then it actually gives us some potential prompt expansions here, like featuring heavy bass drops and aggressively rhythmic synths, or about a mascot having a midlife crisis during a massive buildup. Let's do the first one.

You get the idea. Pretty decent.
But that wasn't the only music generator we got this week. The company Souno released a new version of their music generator called Sununo 5.5. You can actually train your own voice into this one and have it make songs using your voice, which in my case is probably a really bad idea. So, I'll log into my Sunno account here. And we can see that if I click on advanced, there's a new voice section here. Recorder upload your voice and use it to create anything. So, let's go ahead and create a voice. I wonder what would happen if I just use my normal speaking voice cuz I can't sing at all. This is what I sound like when I'm speaking in my natural voice. I'm currently singing right now. Yes, that's correct. This is how I sound when I sing because I don't actually sing. I speak. How would you describe your singing? Very beginner. I'll name this voice Matt Wolf Talking. All right. So, let's go back to simple and I'll leave it on Matt Wolf talking. and let's do a pop song about baseball tacos and Zelda Breath of the Wild. Three random things that popped into my head as I was uh typing. Let's just see what happens cuz this is going to be probably pretty bad. All right, here goes nothing.

>> I mean it's quite encouraging that maybe that's what my voice could sound like but that's definitely not what I sound like when I try to sing but is a lot of fun if you've never played with like give it a shot it it's kind of a blast.
But moving on from you know text to music to text to speech. This company smallest.ai introduced a new text-to-speech model designed for conversational voice agents. So, this is like a new competitor to 11 Labs. Apparently, it's tuned to sound like it's thinking, to sound like it's listening, to handle the way people actually speak, and to keep the user engaged. So, here's a quick example they give us here.
>> Oh, okay. So, if we leave at um 7. No, wait, that's Yeah, no, that's too early. Maybe like 8:30. And then we would um we would get there by yeah probably around noon I think.
>> Yeah.
I mean, not bad. They have a benchmark here where they compare it to 11 Labs and a few others. And you know they win most of the benchmarks but it's also interesting to note that they created the benchmark as well. Similar to 11 Labs. This one you can actually train your own voice into. The most natural voice is often your own. Even the best pre-built voice has a ceiling. In our evaluations a clone voice consistently outperforms it. So, if you're using their Lightning V3.1, you can clone your own voice. Now, this appears to be for API usage. So, you build apps that use this, I don't think they have like a playground type thing where you can just go and test it out like you can with 11 Labs. But if you're building an app that needs a voice agent that sounds pretty much as good, if not a little bit better than 11 Labs, maybe check out Smallest.ai.
Mistrol also released a text-to-speech model this week and this one is an open weights model that you can actually run locally on your own computer. They even put their own like blind test here where you could play both of these and tell it which one you prefer. Here's the first one.

And they're both decent, but I think the first one was a little bit better. And of course, the first one was their text to speech, and the second one was 11 Labs. So, you can see it's, you know, fairly comparable, maybe even a little bit better than 11 Labs, but it's an openweight model. Here's some more examples. This was the input voice, I believe, of Paul.

And then they put in this text, and this is the output that it got.
>> Before we begin, I'll need to verify a few details. Can you confirm your full name and date of birth?
So, I'm guessing that initial text is all it really needs. It only needs a few seconds. Let's see. This model was trained to adapt to a custom voice with a reference as little as 3 seconds and capture not just the voice, but also nuances like subtle accent, inflections, intonations, and even disfluencies similar to those expressed in the reference. So, Marie, this is a French input.
>> But then when we give it this English prompt and output it, Before we begin, I'll need to verify a few details. Can you confirm your full name and date of birth?
It's actually spoken in a French accent. Let's go ahead and click try Voxrol text to speech. And they do seem to have a plan where you can experiment for free. Unfortunately, once I log in, though, the custom voices are on the paid plan only. So, let's go ahead and just test some of their actors that are in here. Let's do an angry voice here from Paul and say,

Apparently, that was Paul angrily telling you to subscribe. You don't want to make Paul angry. But let's hear what Curious Jane has to say.

And moving into cool AI art features. This company, Love Art AI, released a new feature called move object. You can give it an image, highlight a portion of the image, and then move that portion of the image around. You can actually play around with this one for free as well. You get a small amount of credits up here. So, let's click on the image generator and let's go 16:9. I'm going to switch it to nano banana 2 and we'll say a grey wolf sitting in the forest in the evening. And we get an image that looks like this. So, if I select this image, there's a button here that says move object. So, I'll select move object and I can either use a rectangle or a lasso. Let's just select it with a rectangle. And I'll just make sure that that whole wolf is within the rectangle. And you can see that it noticed that there's a wolf inside the selection. Now, what I need to do is just drag a new box like this of where I want the wolf to go. So, let's drag it over to the right and let's shrink the box down. So, maybe it'll make the wolf lie down. And then click run and it'll start to generate a second image here. And there we go. Now, pretty much everything in the image is identical except we have the wolf over here lying down. Let's export image one as a JPEG. I'll export image two as a JPEG. Jump into Leonardo here. Go to video and I can give it our start frame. give it our end frame and a prompt like the wolf lies down and we get something that looks like this. Here's our wolf and it moves over to that other spot and lies down. So, pretty cool feature from this Love Art AI. Makes it really, really easy to create like a start and end frame and then just use a video generator to animate between the two.
I said there was a lot of news this week and I'm definitely not done yet, but again, I'm not going to waste your time. Let's jump into rapid fire.
Now, this was probably the biggest news of the week, but I already did a full breakdown video of it, so I moved it to the rapidfire section of this video. But, we're losing Sora, not just the Sora app. OpenAI has decided they're done with side quests. They're going to focus on their chat model, their coding models, and basically just doing those things really, really well. And the first casualty of their cutting the side projects is Sora. They're getting rid of the app. They're getting rid of the video generator and the API. They're just not going to focus on having video generation capabilities at OpenAI at all anymore. At least not for a while. I personally think it's kind of a smart move. Like they're bleeding money and this used a lot of compute and most people want to use OpenAI for coding and for chatting, not for generating videos. So why was so much compute being dedicated towards essentially a meme generator? So again, it makes sense to me, but it also put him in a very awkward position with Disney because they recently signed a giant deal with Disney where Disney would get access to their technology, but OpenAI could allow people to generate Disney IP in their videos. And well, as soon as it was announced that Sora was going away, Disney exited the deal and there's no more project between Disney and OpenAI. Apparently, it also sounds like OpenAI did not give Disney any notice. People at Disney and OpenAI said they were working together as recently as Monday of this week. So, it was a big surprise to a lot of people, it seems.
And in their effort to shove the side projects, another casualty seems to be the adult mode that they were planning on rolling into ChatGPT. This is another one of those things where it's like, why were you dedicating researchers and GPUs to making a chatbot that would talk dirty to you? I also find it interesting that the two first projects that OpenAI sort of acts feel like the two things that Elon over at XAI is putting the most effort into. Like he really likes his imagined video generator and also making robots talk dirty to you.
And in more bad news for OpenAI, apparently the people who have been using it for advertising, well, they can't really figure out if it's working or not. Advertisers that bought the first ad campaigns on ChatGPT have said that the process was low tech and that they haven't received much data showing if their ads worked. They haven't yet been able to prove the ads have driven any measurable business outcomes for their clients. In order for OpenAI to offer free and low-cost tiers, they kind of need advertising to work to sort of subsidize paying for compute for people that aren't paying them. And so far, nobody knows if the ads are actually working. If I had to guess, most people probably aren't clicking on OpenAI ads cuz they're in the middle of a conversation with OpenAI trying to learn about something. So, an ad like down below all that just feels like, why would I click on that?
But in totally unrelated news, this came out this week from OpenAI powering product discovery and chat GPT. They're launching richer, more visually immersive shopping experiences powered by the agentic commerce protocol. So they're making it so that when you do searches for specific products, like a buyer intent search, it's going to show you more products and let you compare products among each other. They've also made it easier if you do have an e-commerce business to get your products listed in ChatGPT. Share your product feed to reach shoppers more effectively as they explore options, compare products, and decide what to buy. So, this is interesting to me, and I'm I'm just throwing this out there. Their ad platform is not off to the greatest start. People can't really tell if it's working very well or not. That news drops this week. Also, this week, OpenAI says, "We're making it easier to shop with inside our chat GPT platform. We're also making it easier for businesses to put their products inside of our platform." Now, this product discovery in ChatGPT isn't a paid thing yet. E-commerce businesses don't have to pay to get ChatGPT to list their products, but doesn't it kind of feel like they're building out the groundwork to do that? Like, if you go to Google right now and you type products, there's always sort of featured listings at the top. And a lot of times those are ads that people paid for that placement. Well, if nobody's ever going to click on the ads that show up be lowear chat inside of ChatGPT, CEG GPT needs to figure out a different way to make advertising work. And allowing companies to buy featured product placements feels like the next logical step. Now, I already made a whole video a few weeks ago about this sort of advertising slippery slope that I feel like OpenAI is going to go down. And this right here that we're looking at feels like the next phase in that process that I was mapping out almost to the letter. But I don't know what I'm talking about.
OpenAI also rolled out plugins inside of their codex app. So now you can use things like Slack, Figma, Notion, Gmail, and more inside of Codeex. We've been able to use a lot of this stuff inside of ChatGPT, but now it's in their IDE app as well.
We got a couple additional interesting stories out of Anthropic as well. It looks like they're going to end up winning their battle against the Department of War and possibly not be deemed a supply chain risk. According to the Wall Street Journal, a US federal judge halted the Trump administration's designation of Anthropic as a supply chain risk, citing free speech violations. The judge ordered the administration to stop applying the president's directive and provide a compliance report by April 6th. And this appears to be a pretty big win for Anthropic. However, Anthropic is not completely out of the woods yet. In this expost from Samuel Roland here, there's a little bit of an additional breakdown where he points out that there is still another 4713 designation currently pending before the DC circuit. Here's some further clarification from Charlie Bulock here. The Pentagon declared Anthropic a supply chain risk under two different statutes. Anthropic had to file two different parallel lawsuits challenging each designation. Anthropic now has a preliminary injunction stopping one designation, but the other designation is still legally in effect. So although they've won one court battle, it does appear there's still more hurdles for them to get over.
The other news that came out of Anthropic was that there was a leaked document from Anthropic that shows that there's a new generation of super strong models called Claude Mythos. Now, this was originally reported by Fortune after Anthropic apparently left some sort of unprotected pre-writeup of a blog post on their website and somebody was able to come across it. That blog post has since been taken down, but this M1 account appears to have managed to copy it before it was taken down. And it does appear that this blog post was intended to go live sometime in March. Mythos is the name of a new tier of model larger and more intelligent than the Opus models. Mythos gets dramatically higher scores on tests of software coding, academic reasoning, and cyber security, among others. They do go on to say, "In preparing to release Claude Mythos, we want to act with extra caution and understand the risks it poses. We want to understand the model's potential near-term risks in the realm of cyber security and share the results to help cyber defenders prepare." They also go on to say, "It's very expensive for us to serve and will be very expensive for customers to use." They actually warn in this blog post that an upcoming wave of models can exploit vulnerabilities in ways that far outpace the efforts of defenders. So they're essentially saying we have a new powerful model that's coming out and it's kind of scary in a cyber security sense. Again, this was leaked and then removed from their website and this is sort of like a copy and paste that somebody managed to get before they took it down. So take all of this with a grain of salt. Nothing is super confirmed here yet.
Moving on, this week, Cap Cut also released Drama's Seed Dance 2.0, the video model that everybody's been raving about lately out of China, but the US has been fighting and trying to keep from entering the US because it allowed a lot of trademarks. It allowed a lot of like celebrity likenesses and things like that. Pretty much all the movie studios spoke up about it. The government spoke up about it. And although it is available in Cap Cut, it doesn't appear to be available in Europe or the US yet. So, this new model is available to a lot of people, but just not if you're in the US or Europe yet. It does look like a really good model. I personally still haven't managed to get my hands on it. Everything I've seen is pretty impressive.
Wikipedia this week banned AI generated articles inside of Wikipedia. You can still use AI. You just can't use it to generate the entire Wikipedia page. Wikipedia editors can only use AI for basic copy editing or translation. But it's probably a good move because when you think about it, a lot of the LLMs probably trained on Wikipedia data. And if LLMs are now generating the Wikipedia data, isn't that kind of how you get model collapse?
And let's wrap this up with robots. This week, Figure03 robot makes history as the first humanoid robot in the White House. And you're not going to believe how this video ends. Check this out. No, actually that's not how the video ended at all. I kind of, you know, made that last part because I thought it would be funny. Really, the robot just sort of walks in and then walks in front of the crowd here and says some stuff, waves a little bit, and then walks off. Nobody was harmed in this robot interaction. But there you have it. That's what I got for you this week.
My goal every single week is to make one core video that breaks down all of the AI news that I think you would want to know for this week. I'm doing my best to sift through it all, pay attention to everything, play with the tools, talk to the people, read all the news, and then once a week, I'm trying to help try to sift through the signal from all the noise and hype and break down just what I think the most amount of people are going to want to know. I don't want to overwhelm you with daily AI news videos and breakdowns of everything that happens when I can just give people a recap of the week at the end of the week and hopefully make this feel a lot less overwhelming.
