I'm sure there's other places that you would want to be, but this is the best place for us at this time. It's nothing better than subjecting ourselves unto the framework of God. All of our.

He came looking for me. He found me in West Virginia, thousands of miles away from home, thousands of miles away from anybody that knew where I might have been. It's like he walked up in the trailer house and said, "Here I am." And the Brian Henry that you see today is because he came looking for me. Praise the Lord. Glory to God. So if you're here today, you are not here by chance. You are here on purpose, with a purpose, and you've got a purpose, and God wants to show it to you. You got Gal, you got Judea, Samaria, Galilee. He literally had to pass through Samaria in order to get to Galilee. Don't get so focused on where you're going that you forget where you are. I believe that there was a whole region of Samaria touched because He sat down at a well and had a conversation. Don't forget, just because your leg is laser-focused on a destination, let you forget that there's something to be done in the today. Praise the Lord. Let us pray for the offering. God, we're asking You to take what we have as we offer it up to You. God, bless it and further Your kingdom. God, we ask that You would bless the Sunday schools. God, help them to see, help them but know to understand, lift up revelation. God, in Jesus name. Come and offer your gift cheerfully.

Isn't it good to be in church on Sunday evening? Hallelujah. I love it when it's church time. I love coming to the house of God. This thing's real. I'm telling you, this, this ain't no fairy tale. This ain't just some routine. This, this thing is real, man. We, there's a real reward for this. Hey, it ain't, it ain't made of some plastic reward that you see here on Earth. My goodness, it ain't in an earthly trophy. It ain't an earthly plaque. Oh, brother Lance, there's a real reward for this that we're not just wasting our time today. My goodness, I'm glad to be a part of a kingdom. I'm glad to be a part of a church. Hallelujah. I don't wanna, I don't want to play games. I don't want something fake, man. Well, I'm on. Hallelujah. I'm glad. I'm honored to, uh, to teach this second service today. I was thinking as I was getting prepared. I, uh, I love these second services, but I really love Wednesday night prayer. That's my, that's my gig. I like that, man. I, it don't matter if I'm doing it or somebody else, but I, I like Wednesday night prayer. And, and these, these teaching services are so good. Thank you, Pastor. Thank you, brother Jordan Copeland, for that message today, man. He did a fabulous job preaching, preaching to us today. Hallelujah. You just remain, remain seated. I got a few scriptures here that I want to read through as we begin.

I want to give honor to our pastor and his family and all the, both daughters and both son-in-laws and, uh, maybe they're watching from Hawaii today. I don't know. Hey, if they, if they pray somebody through in Hawaii, I might, I might volunteer to start that daughter work. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Hallelujah. I've never been to Hawaii. Genesis, uh, 24. Just remain seated. We're going to read several scriptures. Genesis 24 and, uh, verse number 11. This has a, I got to say this as, as we get ready, but I'm telling you, we, there is a revival around here. There's a revival of, of, it's just, I keep seeing the word multiplication. Multiplication. And I told brother Dylan Craft today in the prayer room, I said, man, I said, anybody that can't get a hold of of revival, don't understand the parable of the talents. I'm telling you, go, go home today and read the parable of the talents. We can't maintain. We, we can't just hold our ground. That's, I mean, he said, depart from me. He, get, get out of here if you're just giving me back what I gave you. He said, you got to turn a profit in this thing. Hey, if it was 30 when you, when you got here, they, my goodness, 3,000 when I come back. Sounds good. That sounds like a good, a good profit. That's why, that's why we get excited about revival because we understand the parable of the talents. Hallelujah. And this is a revival church, and we're having revival, and, and we're not just going to maintain. We're not just going to be satisfied with five, six, seven, eight hundred people. Hey, we're gonna, we're gonna reach this world. We're gonna reach this town, and we're gonna reach this world. 24 and 11 of Genesis. And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.

And he said, Oh Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day and show kindness unto my master Abraham. Behold, I stand here by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water. And let it come to pass that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink, and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also.

Let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac, and thereby shall know that thou hast showed kindness unto my master. Just a few more verses. Let's read down through 20. We got a couple more verses. It came to pass before he had done speaking that behold, Rebekah came out, whom was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder. So here she came. He had just prayed this prayer. He said, he said, the one that I, that's, that's the right one, let her, let her give me water to drink and let her water my camels also. The damsel was very fair, verse 16, to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her. And she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. And she said, Drink, my lord, and she hasted and let down her pitcher upon her hand and gave him drink. In which she had done giving him drinks, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also until they have done drinking. Dear Lord, thank You for this word that You give us. Thank You for this opportunity. Thank You for this church, God. Thank You so much for our pastor and this church and this vision, God. And every minister in this building and every saint, God. We ask You to speak to us. Open our hearts and our minds for the next few moments in Jesus name. I apologize. I'm sweating, burning up. It don't take much for me to sweat. I want to talk to us about just a simple title, requested to serve. Requested to serve. There's a, there's an app that, uh, that our church has that's actually how I found out a few weeks ago that that I'd be teaching today. You get that email and that email comes through and it says, "You have been requested to serve." Hallelujah. You've been requested to serve. And some of my earliest memories around here, I guess, just when I think about serving, I think about I think about serving during our event that's coming up, uh, Mid-Winter Summit, just serving tables and food and drinks and water. And that's, that's what I, what I run through my mind most of the time when I think about serving, just, just getting stuff for others and helping and and doing what I can and find, you know, just, just all that. But in this, in this, um, passage we read, Abraham had had chose his his servant to go find a wife for his son. Now, this, this wasn't just any son. This was this son was a miracle. I mean, they had prayed for this man. They, they had, uh, they, they had believed God for this, this child, and, and knew that he was the seed, he was the special, he was the one that was gonna, that that was gonna carry on the the name and the the promise. And I mean, there was a, it was a struggle with the enemy for this son, you know? I mean, it was just the son. Try, the enemy tried his best to keep the son from from coming, from from being born. And there came a day when it was time for his son to, uh, it was time for him to get married. I mean, man, he was, he was old enough. I guess I was, uh, I was also 28 when I got married. I think that's what you just said, pastor, that the wedding, it just took place. 28. I was 28. It's been long enough. It was time for me to get married. And thank, thank the Lord, I found the perfect one. I didn't need no help. I mean, I, I went to Indiana Bible College and I was on a mission. Indiana Bible College. I'm in. And, uh, I'd went one year, the whole year. And, uh, we were standing in front of the dorms and the guys was around somebody's car and they said, man, they said, "Where's your wife?" or "How come you haven't got married?" or something. I forgot what it was. And I said, I said, "My wife will be here next semester." And she showed up next semester. I just spoke it. I didn't know. I just, it's what words that come to my mouth. And anyways, I ended up helping, helping her. They called, look, I'm away from notes. Uh, I'm short, I'm short-winded anyway, so I got 30 more minutes. Uh, so they called me from the secretary's office and said, "Hey, there's a new student arrived. Can you go help her, uh, get her luggage out of her car and get her up to her dorm?" You know, or what? So I, I went and there she was. And it was, she, it was her. But I didn't know it was her at the time. I did. We didn't even, we didn't even connect then. I mean, it wasn't even, we just, I don't know if we said hey. I don't even remember the, the whole event. But anyways, God worked it out. I was preaching one day and she was sitting in the audience and she said, "That man's gonna be my husband." So I let that take place.

I, she, she said that. But, uh, but, but I'm telling you, I had, let me just finish the story. Hallelujah. That's the best I'm doing. The best job I've ever done preaching and I teach.

She walked through the student lobby one day and, uh, that day she caught my eye. That day I was like, "Hey, I said, won't you call me sometime?" I hollered across the lobby. I said, "Hey, won't you, hey, hey, call me sometime." She, she turned around. She said, "I don't even have a phone." So it was, it was on then. She had a boyfriend, and I, I took care of that too. Hallelujah. So back to my story. Uh, Abraham, it was time to find Isaac a a bride. It was time to get married. Man, I mean, we can't just sit around here single. We gotta, we gotta multiply. We've got to get married and have children and, you know, the seed of the stars and the sand of the sea, you know? So he sent his servant to find the bride. Man, I, I don't think I'm sending anybody else to find my daughter's husband. I, I'd like to do that myself. But anyways, he, he sent his servant. His servant, he sent his servant. And and his servant prayed this prayer. And you know what he ended up finding? As for a bride for Isaac, he found another servant is what he found. Her first words that we read about her in scripture says, says, "Drink, my lord, and I'll get thy camel's water too." And I immediately, brother Jason, thought about, go, go the mile, and then when you get done with the mile, go the next mile. It's about doing more than than what is required. That's the point. Do more than what is required of you. We have requirements in this, in this, uh, life that we live for God, but He, He wants us to do more than what's required of us. Whenever you start doing more, I'm telling you, the blessings of God start chasing you down. That's what happens. They'll, they'll overtake you. But so we're talking about being requested to serve today. Rebecca, she, uh, she, as a result of this, she became the second matriarch in this line, this lineage of of great, a great family. She ended up with two nations in her, in her womb. She, she was, she was this, this servant that ended up great, simply because she decided to do what was more than required. There were other women there getting water, and, and I, I don't know if any others offered him water, but she offered his camels water too. She was truly a servant, requested to serve. The search isn't for superstars in this kingdom. I started to title this, "A Kingdom Without Kings." This kingdom is not looking for superstars. This kingdom is looking for servants. And when you become a servant, the superstar will find you. That's what happens. When when you're out there giving out water and, and, and, and water and animals, then my goodness, you become the mother of a of nations. Requested to serve. It's, this is a kingdom of servants. Greatness will always find you serving. My goodness, greatness will always find you serving. When you serve, greatness will find you. You want to be great? Find somewhere to serve. D. Man, David's, David's enemies even knew him as a servant of Saul. They knew him as a servant. That's how they labeled him. The servant of Saul. He was a servant. They come out looking for a king one day to anoint, and they went through the line, they couldn't find one. He said, "But you know what? There's one out there serving." He wasn't in the building. He wasn't even at the service. He was out in the gym cleaning the toilets. He was in the gymnasium sweeping. He wasn't, he wasn't in the, in the show. He found him working. He was serving. David was anointed to be king. They found him serving. Requested to serve. We have been requested to serve. Serve. Being a servant is is a calling for every one of us in this building. Being a servant is a ministry for every one of us in this building. We have got to serve. You know, the next great thing in David's life, what was he doing when when he come up on Goliath? They had sent him to care. They said, "Go serve this to your brothers." They said, "Come on, when you carry this down there and feed them, get your tray and tote your food down to the battle because you're a servant. That's what you are." And they thought that was a bad thing. They said, "You won't, you go down there and serve your brothers and, and, and just be the little servant that you are." And I'm telling you, greatness found him that day. I'm telling you, the battle that the world is still talking about, David and Goliath, found David's servant that day. I'm telling you, brother Jason, when I come across that and got thinking about that, it tore me up, man. I'm telling you, if you want to, if you want to be great, you need to serve. If you want to be, if you want to be in this kingdom, you need to find a place to serve. You need to find a place to serve. That's why later he could write in Psalm 102, said, "Serve the Lord with gladness." He said, "Won't you serve Him with gladness? Once you get some joy in your heart and say, I'll serve You, God. I want to be a servant." He said, "You want to be somebody? Serve the Lord with gladness." Man, he knew that that was the key to everything that had happened to him. He knew that was what happened. He said, "Man, I was just out there, young." Be seated. I just, I just, I was just out there keeping my sheep, keeping my father's sheep, and man, somebody found me and poured oil all over me. Says, "You're gonna be king one day." He, he knew that. He's like, "Man, I was, I wasn't looking for a battle that day. I, I didn't even, man, I, I wasn't ready to fight a giant." But you know what? I was serving, and it found me. I found a man. I was serving, and it found me. I'm telling you, you can be working. We got a big event coming up, and, and you can be vacuuming this floor. You can be on this roof patching a hole. In the King of Glory will find you up there, man. I, I, you can be out in the gym doing whatever, and I'm telling you, if God will find you serving, hey, I'm, He won't, He's, He's not looking for for the one standing right here with the microphone. I've got it today, and I, and I, I'm telling you, I'm not, I don't even know what to say. What I'd rather get down here because I don't want, I'm not, He's not looking for that one. He's looking for the one in the jail teaching the the prisoners. He's looking for the one sitting at the the dinner table with with his Bible study open. That's what He's looking for. He's not looking for the one with a microphone. I'm telling you, when you start doing that, though, the microphone will find you. That my girl, that, hey, you had to get up there and tell what you've been doing because God's been using you. He was a servant. David was a servant. Man, Moses was a servant. I, I can't go through all the scriptures today. Joshua, uh, just on and on. You can find servant after servant, servant after servant. Book of Job, man. I'm telling you, one of the highest, one of the highest callings. You can be one of the, one of the best qualifications on your resume. He said, "Have you considered my servant?" He said, "You know what, devil? I got a servant over there. And if you want to mess with anybody, why don't you go ahead and pick on my servants because I know that he's been serving long enough that he can handle anything you throw at him." I'm telling you, a servant will teach you something. Serving, a servant will put an anointing on you. It'll put a hedge around you. He said, "If you consider my servant, Job." Servant, servant is about others. Serving, servant don't take selfies. Serving, don't, don't tell everybody what they're doing. Oh, I'm telling you, He said, He said, "When you do it in in secret, I'm going to reward you openly." Serving, greatness will find you. Serving, an anointing will find you. Serving, uh, hey, if you want to, if you're looking for a spouse, find somewhere to serve, man. You'll, you'll, you'll end up rubbing shoulders with another servant, man. If I, if I had to, if I had the great opportunity of of picking out one of my daughter's husbands when it comes time, I would, I would, I would go looking somewhere where they was working, man. I'd go, I'd go look somewhere where somebody was mowing the church yard or or somebody was emptying the trash cans. I might sit beside the dumpster and and see who's taking out the trash, man, because I know that God can use that person. God, God can can move on that person. Hey, if you can do that, God can do anything with you. Hey, young people, I'm gonna get to it so you can sit down. Servant is the title of choice that God uses. It's in that Bible around a thousand times. I wished I could go through every one of them, but it's the title of choice. I'm telling you, when you get done on this Earth and you end up up there in glory, He's going to say, "Well done, thy good and faithful me." I'm telling you, if you ain't a servant, that's all that's going to be in heaven. That's all that's going to be up there is servants. "Well done, thy good and faithful servant." Man, that's the title of choice. Servant. "Well done, thy good and faithful servant." The qualifier for heaven was, was they a servant? Was they a servant? The war, the war that we struggle with is for our service. It is, it is for our service. We will serve something. Luke 16:13. Who, who will we serve? What, what will we serve? We, we can't serve, we can't serve this world and the next world. It's impossible. Luke 16 and 13. "No servant can serve two masters. He is going to hate one and and love the other, or he'll hold the one and despise the other. You can't serve God and the devil." This war is for service. I'm telling you, whatever decision you make in your life, you're choosing to serve one or the other. The battle is for our service. We are servants. What are we serving? Who, who are we serving? Serve, serve, and anointing will find you. Serving, greatness will serve. In opportunity, we'll find you serving. You can be, you can be serving, working, and get that call to preach. You can get that, you can get that, that opportunity while you're working, man. I'm telling you, pastors will be, and people, and, and things will be, it'll just happen because you were serving. You say, "Well, how do I serve?" Well, I just, I just named a couple here, and I'm, I'm not the pastor, but I think he'd probably agree with some of these on the list. Uh, but we can serve by, I mentioned it, we can serve by, young people, we serve by cleaning up the gym. We can be servants by cleaning out the van when we, when we get off of that trip, man. I'm telling you, that's a servant. You, you let somebody, you let, you let Pastor pull up here and catch you with the van backed up to the garbage dumpster, emptying that out, and washing and cleaning and, and cleaning up. Get caught serving. You, you can walk past the trash can and, and it's overflowing, and instead of thinking, "Somebody else's job to do it," just go ahead and do it yourself. Empty the trash. You can, you can pray and read your body. You can serve by by praying and reading your Bible and, and, and winning souls. You can serve by teaching Bible studies. I'm telling you, that, that parable of the talents got a hold of me. We got to be profitable. We, we got to be profitable. We can't just hold our own and, and hope it all works out. We can't just, I know the Bible says, "Save yourselves," but we got to do more than that. There's a, there's an extra mile to that little scripture that we gotta, we gotta bring somebody else with us. We can't just do it by ourselves. We gotta, we gotta serve. I don't, I don't always preach to my wife, but I did, I did mention a few things that I had on my mind about this that I, that was going through my mind, and I told her, and I preached a little bit to her, told her about it, and she, she told me this story that I hope she'll share. It's just a little quick story because, uh, just let me, let me stand up and say it, just because I, it made an impact on me, and it must have, you, the way you told me, uh, um, it was a, it was a few years ago, and I, maybe the floor had just gotten polished or something, I can't remember. And there was probably like 15 women, and we were all on our hands and knees scrubbing this floor. And sister Debbie walked through and she said, "If I could get down there with y'all, I would do it." And then she quoted this scripture to me, and to this day, sister Debbie, it runs through my mind: "Better is one day in your courts than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than dwell in the tents of the wicked." I'm telling you, when you serve, it's going to do something to your children. That's, man, when she told me that, that testimony of sister Belk, said, "I do this because my children see me working." Man, when my children get a hold of me working and and serving and praying and being faithful to church and and and signing up for the volunteer sheet, and hey, when they're up here all the time, and they're falling asleep on the pew because because we had to vacuum a little bit later, or we had to put a few more things up, or just working at the church, just working at the church, I'm telling you, while you're working at the church, God's working on your children, man. They, they're getting it in on me. They're seeing, "Hey, you must love this. You must love this. If I love this, I'm gonna love it. Man, this must be real if if you're doing this all the time." Hallelujah. You can be seated. But I'm telling you, we, we are servants. This is a kingdom without kings. This is a kingdom full of servants. I'm telling you, the, the crown and the kingdom, the, the kingship is is going to come in eternity, but there's just going to be a whole lot of workers right now. There's going to be a whole lot of foot washing right now. There's going to be a lot of, a lot of just work. We're just going to be working, and we're going to work, and we're going to work, and, and one day He's going to come back and He's going to find a bunch of good and faithful servants and He's going to say, "Well done," because He was, He was a, He was a hard worker. You knew how to, you knew how to hand a cup of water in my name and serve, man. I, I don't, I just, I want to be a servant. I don't want nobody to to praise me for it because I just, I want God to one day do it in the way He does it. We, we don't do it for for earthly reward. We do it for a heavenly reward. And one day He's going to say, "Well done, that good and faithful servant." You believe that? Hallelujah. Let's lift our hands and thank God that we can be servants in His kingdom. Brother Cardwell, why don't you get your daughter ready for baptism? We're going to have a baptism. I'm so glad to have the grounds with us today. So glad that they're here. Glad that Aunt Teresa is with us today, sister Cardwell. And, uh, we're going to have a baptism here just momentarily. And brother Forsyth, thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm telling y'all, I, I feel the same way you do. These, these, uh, Wednesday night teaching of our men and the second service, it has got to where it's some of my favorite services. I love hearing our preachers teach and preach. Now, if you wonder why that I put them on time limits and why I, and I really push that they teach and not preach, there's two reasons. Why people can preach naturally. Preaching's not hard. Anybody can get up there and repeat a bunch of cliches, get people excited. That's not hard to do. But it just don't do a lot of lasting change in people's lives. They forget it as fast as they walk out the back door. And anybody that ever gets to preaching can naturally preach too long. But the two things that people need to learn how to do is teach and not take advantage of people's time. That's two very, very important things. And so the training that we do right here in this home church to get people ready to go is, if a person, if a preacher can learn how to say important things and say it quickly and honor a clock and honor people's time, I'm going to tell you, there's nothing people that will make people love you like knowing that you're being conscious of their time. And there's nothing that'll make them want to run the other way like feeling like you don't care about their dad. It is so important that every time you're in that pulpit, that people know you know that preacher cares about me. He cares. He cares about the fact that I got other things to do. I got important things to do. And he's saying some very important things to me, and he's packaged it in the smallest package possible because I'm just going to tell you, there's two things you can't do. You can't help people beyond their capacity to remember what you said, and the capacity for their rear end to get wore out quicker than their brain did. I'm just telling you, you can talk about all the will the spirit overcomes, the spirit overcomes, the spirit overcomes. I've been doing this long enough to know that they ain't in the spirit once they start getting aggravated. And so if I can train our preachers to be conscious of people's time, be careful of people's time, and then learn how to teach, learn how to teach, I'm going to tell you what builds a church is not preaching. You cannot. If you build a church on preaching and shout beat, the first time a storm blows, you're going to lose those people. They will not endure the storm. You can't endure the storm shouting because half the time they don't even know what they're shouting about. They just shouting because the because the beat's good. You can't build a church on preaching and shout beat. You build a church on the word. And I hope you're hearing me. You build a church on teaching and preaching of the word of God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I know that the last several services, we baptized a lot of children in Jesus name. Don't worry about that. That's a good thing. If they get older and feel like they were too young, we can re-baptize them. We can baptize them again. But I'll tell you what, it's important that when a revival starts moving among young people, to let it move. Don't stop it. Don't discourage it. Let them get under conviction. Baptize them. Do whatever you got to do when they're young, because I promise you, they'll go through an age group where you, they'll go through a season as they get older that you'll say, "Man, I wish I'd have catered to that when they was young."
