I'm excited to be here.
I know that you split your time between France and the United States, yeah. Is France all decked out for the holidays? Do they do it like New York does?
It is. It's quite -- It's quite festive. But it's really nice and festive here, too. I love being here this time of year.
Right? Do you like Christmas or Thanksgiving? What is your move?
I'm very holiday-oriented. I love it all.
Yeah, me too.
But Thanksgiving is my favorite meal on Earth.
Oh, yeah, it's the best.
So we actually make Thanksgiving dinner for Christmas dinner at my house.
Yeah, just double down?
Double down. Double turkey.
Yeah. Because they probably don't don't celebrate Thanksgiving.
They don't, but whenever I've been in France for Thanksgiving, my mom will make Thanksgiving dinner to honor her American children.
That's -- See? That's a good mom. That's what -- That's what I'm talking about. [Applause]
But you're bilingual and you've done a few films in France. Is there anything that you could teach me next time I go back to France that I could say to look like a local?
They'll love this one. So, um, if you ever -- if you're in France and you feel like you're in a situation there's, like, maybe something fishy going on, something that you're -- you're not sure, but there's something weird.
Yeah.
You can say... [Speaks French] Which means --
I can say that?
Yeah. You can say -- You can say... [Speaking French]
[Mimics French]
That was really good. And it means literally there is eels -- there are eels under the rocks, which, you know, loosely translates to, you know, there's something weird going on.
Yeah. There's eels under the rocks.
Yeah.
That's a great one.

Yeah, I love that one. I didn't expect you were gonna do that one at all. Um, you've done a lot of really fun things in your career. I know one of the things -- You're in some music videos, and you're in another music video right now for 070 Shake's new song.
Yes.
Here's you in the video. Do you like doing music videos?
I loved doing this one. This one was really special because, you know, obviously I love the song, I love the artist, and, um -- and, yeah, it was a real family affair. It was cute. My friend Ben Watanabe directed it, who is married to my best friend, and then the DP is engaged to my other best friend.
What?
And my other best friend Spencer Singer styled it. And so, yeah --
You have so many cool friends.
I have a lot of cool friends.
Oh, my God. That's fantastic.
I'm a lucky girl. Yeah.
You've always been into music. I read somewhere -- and I don't know if it's true -- that you started a band when you were 6.
Yes. Yes.
Now, what does a 6-year-old band like? What do they write about?
Well, we actually had quite a specific creative direction. We were called the Pink Elephants, and it was all about elephants with the whole thing. So me and my childhood best friend, Harley Quinn Smith, who I did my first movie with, uh, we were both all about elephants as kids, and she had this, like, pink elephant stuffed animal. It was highly coveted in the group. Everybody was like, "That is the coolest one, the coolest stuffed animal." So we kind of created this whole group...
Around the stuffy.
...around the stuffy.
Yeah.
The Pink Elephants. We had this one song that we were working on called "Elephant Love."
[Laughs] 6-year-old band.
Yeah, yeah. Really profound stuff. I don't know. I don't think we ever actually finished the song, but at some point the band had to break up, and we didn't -- We didn't quite go all the way.
How did that -- how did that meeting go?
I have, like, a very faint memory of it. Obviously it was pre-cellphone or anything like that. So I feel like I probably had my mom call, like, Harley's mom and connect us. And then I feel like I was, like, away and probably said something like, you know, "I'm not able to be present right now for the band." So...
[Laughs]
So I feel like, you know...
Be present for the Pink Elephants.
Yeah. "And it deserves more than I can give it right now." [Laughter]
I love this little 6-year-old meeting. Any chance that we'll see a reunion of the band?
You never know.
A tour next summer?
Never say never.
Coachella, look out. Yeah, here we go.

Let's talk about your new movie, "Nosferatu." You're getting rave reviews, by the way. Congratulations on this.

Were you always a fan of the story? Do you know the --
Yeah, I was always a fan of the Dracula tale. My brother and I were obsessed with Abbott and Costello as kids.
Oh, yeah. Me too.
And, you know, they have the whole "Meet the Monsters" series.
That's my favorite.
We particularly were drawn to "Meet Dracula" one, the Bela Lugosi. And my brother was like 3 or 4 at the time, and he started dressing up like Dracula and doing these kind of, like, really serious line readings of the lines. So in a way, I grew up as, like, older sister to Dracula.
Wow. So this is, in a weird way, a little full circle.
So it's totally full circle. When I heard that, you know -- When I got the opportunity to audition for this movie, I thought, like, you know, "How full circle." And maybe I'll get some cool points with my bro.
Yeah. And did you?
I think so. I mean, he saw the movie.
He's like, "Not a fan of the Pink Elephants." But he's like, "This 'Nosferatu,' this is cool."
He's like, "This I can vibe with."
Yeah. How do we set up what's going on in the film?
I would say, you know, this is a tale about a 19th-century young woman who is haunted by this ancient vampire, and from this connection, you know, follows a lot of chaos and a great story.
