Your face guard will never decline after watching this video. No, you're sick and tired of taking a thousand pictures and looking good in two of them. I've been there and I've done that and it still happens to me sometimes. It's so tiring to always hear the same tips and the same things that people tell you to glow up and it still doesn't work. But I'm here to show you and to tell you how to get a lethal face scarred quick.
I know you guys are rushing to look amazing during the summer so you can look the best in all of the pictures that you take during your trips. So, I'm here to help that and I'm also going to be trying these. Stay tuned for the last tip because I think that's what fixes the way you look in pictures the most.
Let's start with what I think is most important, your hair. Girl, find a hair color and a haircut that will actually suit you and not just the trending hairstyle that you see everyone do. I see people who are so so pretty and they have so much potential, but then they just have a brassy yellowy blonde hair color that does not suit their face.
If you're really wanting to get your hair done, but don't know what color to get, one huge tip that I have for everyone, and I really think everyone should know this is that you can edit that for free on Facetune. This is literally not sponsored, but I personally just go on Facetune on my phone. I really wanted to go blonde for a while, but I genuinely didn't know if it would suit me. I have had like light brown hair, and I think it looked really good on me. It looked really pretty, but then I wondered, what if I go lighter? And what I did to scratch that itch was put my face, like just a picture of my face on Facetune. Make sure it's like a good picture where you can see your whole face and your hair and Facetune will edit it for you and show you how you would look with blonde, brown, red hair, literally any hair color that you're willing to do. That's where I realized that I would not look good with blonde hair. I was really willing to take the risk and see what it would look like on me, but thank god Facetune exists and I could realize that it would not look good.
Before you cut your hair, find out what your face shape is and what suits your face shape the most. Many people will just want to get a bob or literally just like any cut they want just because it's trending. But you will regret it. I swear if you have the longest, most beautiful hair in the world, don't cut it before you find out if it will actually suit you or not because it will take years to grow it back. You can actually also edit that on Facetune. I'm not sure if you have to pay for that, but you can also do the 7-day trial and see if it suits you or not. If it doesn't, girl, don't take the risk.
This also includes your hairstyle. You might see everyone doing a slick back bun or a slick back ponytail or styling their hair a certain way, but that doesn't mean that it will suit you. I personally have realized that I have really really soft features such as I don't have a strong jawline and my head I think is too round and I have a widow speak. So if I do a slick back bun, it's not going to look the same on me as it will look on someone else. So before you go out and regret the way your hair is styled, try out different hairstyles at home and see if they actually suit you and if you actually feel comfortable in them.
Tip number two, improve your skincare routine. I tend to talk about this a lot on my other videos, but I think it's really important to keep it really simple on your skincare routine. If you do a full face of makeup every day, you have to double cleanse oil-based cleanser and then a foaming cleanser. If you have dark spots or little bumps on your skin, I personally recommend you exfoliate. And don't exfoliate with the same gloves you use on your body, exfoliate with certain chemicals that help exfoliate your skin, but only once or twice a week. I do this with glycolic acid. I find that it's helped me a lot. You can only use it around twice a week, though, or get a BHA or salicylic acid cleanser. I think Cervy sells one.
If you want a brightening cream, I recommend you use a product with vitamin C in it. This is not sponsored. They just sent this to me as a gift, but I personally use this one. It's a vitamin C cream and I love it because it's really lightweight and also really moisturizing at the same time. I was really scared to include vitamin C in my routine. But since they sent me this, I started using it and it's actually brightened my complexion a lot. I used to have a lot of dark spots like next to my ears and it's helped to brighten my skin a lot.
Number three, fix your diet. Stop consuming so much sodium and sugar which will bloat you. Sugar dehydrates you and makes you look more bloated and sodium makes you retain more water in your body. Stop eating things that are too salty and may contain too much sodium such as fast food, ultrarocessed foods, carbonated drinks. I know you love eating candy, but it's really bloating you. So, if you want to have a snatched face, cut those off your diet. And by that I don't mean completely, but try to eat them way less in like smaller amounts. And if you tend to have some breathing infections such as me, I have allergic reitis. Uh actually dairy makes me bloat as well. It's also because of my ethnicity that I am kind of lactose intolerant. But yes, dairy might be bloating you too. Especially if you're acne prone, it's better to cut off dairy.
To make sure you flush all of those ingredients that are bloating you, make sure you're consuming enough water. Water is actually going to flush all of the things out of your system, make you clean, cleanse you from the inside out. What I do is that I always keep my cute water bottle with me completely full every day. This helps me drink more water during the day because you're supposed to drink from 2.5 to 3 lers a day and on average we drink about like like 800 milliliters, which is too little. Stay hydrated.
Tip number four, fix your teeth. It's such an awful feeling to be insecure about your laugh or about your teeth when you talk to people. If you feel like your teeth are looking too yellow, make sure you're brushing enough times a day. Make sure you floss so you prevent having a bad breath. I personally floss every single day and you're supposed to do so as well. If you're bleeding when you floss, that means you are not flossing enough. Apart from flossing, if you feel like your teeth are too yellow, use whitening strips.
If you're going out or if you have a date or if you're at work or school and you're scared of having a bad breath, you might look like the prettiest girl on earth, but if your breath stinks when you're talking to people, that's immediately going to make you unattractive. So, make sure that if you're eating after you eat, you're brushing your teeth. So, have a little kit with like a toothbrush and toothpaste or literally just mouthwash to get rid of the smell.
Tip number five, and I think this is one of the most important, and it's fix the small things. Curl your eyelashes. Many people get a lash lift and it helps them look good all of the time if you have thick lashes. It'll make your eyes pop. Wear light makeup. Remember, you can always apply more, but you can never take. Make sure you're applying your makeup little by little. If you don't like it, wash your face and redo it. That's what I do. If I feel like my makeup is looking too heavy or I don't feel comfortable enough, I will wash my face and redo it.
I think eyelashes make your eyes pop the most. So, find a good mascara. I personally use Kylie Lash by Kylie Jenner. I find that it it gives me so much volume in my lashes and makes them look so thick. Really depends on what you're looking for. So, if you want to have longer lashes, find a lengthening mascara. And if you just want to have thicker lashes, find a volumizing mascara.
Also, please fix your eyebrows. Don't overpluck them at home, though. Don't use like those little razors because those are just going to make you have more hair around your eyebrows. People say, "Oh, it's not going to grow back thicker." It might not, but it might grow in places where it didn't used to grow. Make sure you go to a professional if you want to do your eyebrows. Eyebrows will literally change the way your face looks completely. So, make sure you're doing them well.
Another small thing that I do and I think helps a lot. Many people say it's a scam and it actually doesn't work, but I gouache my face every single day. The reason why your face is puffy might also be because you're like retaining too much liquid inside like your lymph nodes. So, make sure you do a routine, a gouacha routine that will help you drain those. But basically, you just open up your lymph nodes under your armpits, behind your ears, by your neck, in between your eyebrows, and next to your nose. And then you start washing from up to down in like a downwards motion, kind of like draining it down to your armpits. This is so important. Make sure your lips are smooth. Keep your lips smooth. It's horrible to be talking to someone while knowing that your lips are really, really dry. That's literally going to call out all of the attention. If you have extremely dry lips, literally any lip product will help you.
Tip number six, and this might help the way you look in pictures a lot, try to practice your expressions in the mirror. Stop making weird facial expressions. I used to be obsessed with making like funny facial expressions, but then I found that I was getting too used to it and I would post like that in every single picture and it would just make me look bad. So now when I look back at those pictures, I'm like, why was I making that face? So, stop making those silly faces because then it will become a habit. If you feel like your smile is too awkward, stand in front of the mirror. Try to practice which smile looks the best on you and then you'll remember how to do it when the time comes to take a picture.
Now, I'm giving you the last tip, and I think it's one of the most important ones. Stop touching your face. This is something no one wants to admit, but your hands might be the reason why you're breaking out. hands touch everywhere, everything. Public spaces, they're so dirty. And if you're not washing them consistently and then you're touching your face, just laying on your hand in class because you're tired or like fidgeting with your face, with your lips, with your nose, you're going to break out. And also, stop picking on your pimples. That's what's killing your face guard.
Make sure you're also cleaning all of the spaces that you're constantly like touching. Clean your phone. If you're constantly on call and like use your phone like this all the time, you're probably going to break out in here because your phone is dirty. I even throw it on the floor when I go to the gym and that's so dirty. And I'm on call all of the time because I'm in a long-distance relationship. So, every time I get home, I make sure to wipe my phone thoroughly as well as wash the pillow you sleep on. Wash your pillowcase.
Other extra tip that I might mention a lot, but I think it's really important is sleep on silk or satin. This will really help for your hair to not break and it'll also prevent wrinkles because when you're laying on it, it doesn't really like mark your face as much as a cotton pillowcase will.
So yeah, that's pretty much it. You don't need more filters. You don't need more makeup. You need more discipline. Take care of your face like it's your brand because it is. In 2 weeks, you can look like a new person, but only if you start today. Your face card is waiting, so go earn it. Thank you so much for watching, guys. Remember to subscribe.
