Hey guys, it's Bodhi with iptvwire.com. In this video, I'm going to show you how to install Mouse Toggle on any Amazon Fire Stick, Fire TV Cube, or Fire TV device.
Now, for those unfamiliar, Mouse Toggle is a great application that we can use on Fire TV devices to help us navigate apps that aren't compatible with Fire TV sticks or other Fire TV devices. If you sideload applications on your Fire Stick or Fire TV device, you may have noticed some of them don't work well with the remote control. The reason for this is that most Android apps or APKs aren't developed for the Fire TV operating system.
This means that using a tool like Mouse Toggle will help us navigate better with these third-party apps. So guys, in this example, I'm using an Amazon Fire Stick 4K Max, but this tutorial will work on any variation of the Amazon Fire Stick or Fire TV device.
So guys, the first step here from the home screen is to hover over "Find," click "Search," and I'm going to install the Downloader app. If you already have Downloader installed, you can go ahead and skip to the later part of this video. But I'm going to type in "Downloader" and click the option here for Downloader that pops up. Then click the orange icon under "Apps and Games," click "Download," and wait a few seconds for Downloader to install on your Fire Stick.
The Downloader app has installed, so once you see this message, before launching, I'm going to click the home button on my remote. There are a few settings we need to update here. So I'm going to scroll over to the settings icon, scroll down, and click "My Fire TV." Click "About," then click "Fire TV Stick 4K Max" or whatever this says here until you see the following message: "No need, you are already a developer."
Once you see that message, click the back button, click "Developer Options," click "Install Unknown Apps," click "Downloader," and now the ability to install unknown apps is on for Downloader. So once this is turned on, I'm going to click the home button.
Then, once I'm on home, I'm going to scroll down and find Downloader under "Recently Used Apps." Click that to launch it, click "Allow," click "OK," and you have now installed the Downloader app.
So after installing the Downloader app, simply click the search box, and I'm going to enter the following code: 298-344. Double-check that and click "Go." Guys, just wait a few seconds here, and this code will redirect you to the IPTV Wire Quick Links Page.
Once you are on our Quick Links Page, guys, the first thing I would suggest you do is come up top here and click this icon on the top right with the three lines. Then click "Add Current Page to Favorites," click "Save," and now our Quick Links Page is saved to your favorites.
To install Mouse Toggle, I'm going to scroll all the way down, and you'll notice all the different categories here. But under "Utilities," you should see Mouse Toggle for Fire Stick. I'm going to go ahead and click that to launch the download, and you should see Mouse Toggle start to download.
So wait a few seconds here while Mouse Toggle is downloading on your Fire Stick. All right, after Mouse Toggle has downloaded, click "Install," and then wait a few seconds for Mouse Toggle to install. Before launching the application, I'm going to click "Done," and then I would click "Delete" and click "Delete" again. That way, we just deleted the installation files.
Now, guys, I'm going to hold down the home button on my remote, click "Apps," and you should see Mouse Toggle here now in your Apps and Channels list. To move this, I'm going to click the options button with the three lines, click "Move," and I'm going to place this towards the front of my Apps and Channels list. So click "OK" to drop it, click the home button, and now you should see Mouse Toggle towards the front of your apps list.
All right, guys, so before launching Mouse Toggle, there is one more setting we need to change. So I'm going to hover over the settings icon, click "My Fire TV," click "Developer Options," click "ADB Debugging," and we must have that turned on in order to use Mouse Toggle. So you're going to see this; I would just check this here and then click "OK."
Once you have ADB Debugging turned on, I'm going to come back, and now we're going to launch Mouse Toggle. So here, guys, it's important what we need to do is double-click the play and pause button on our Fire Stick or Fire TV remote. So I'm going to do that here.
All right, now once I have double-clicked the play/pause button on my remote, you should now see Mouse Toggle here working on your Fire Stick. Guys, once you see this, I'm going to launch an action application here to show you a better example of where you would use this. So I'm going to launch VirusTotal.
Now, VirusTotal not only is a great app for just scanning for viruses or malware, but this is also designed for Android systems and not Fire TV systems. So if I launch VirusTotal and then double-click the play/pause button on my Fire TV remote, you'll see how much easier this is to navigate versus trying to mess around on the Fire Stick remote and having problems.
So guys, here, as you'll see, if I double-click, I just accidentally exited out. But if I double-click within VirusTotal, the play/pause button here, I can now hit these options here in the top right. I can come back and click an individual application, and we'll look at the report here.
But guys, that's the overall gist of Mouse Toggle: it's a lot easier now to navigate with this mouse instead of just the default options on your remote.
