[Music] To tell you the truth.

All right, welcome everyone. Welcome back. Good afternoon, good morning, good evening, good whatever it is, wherever you happen to be around the world. My name is Ted Shinki. I'm Tony's head trainer and you are here for day four of the RPM training. And you know the deal, people. We're gonna start by going crazy. Go wild. Do whatever you got to do. Shake the chandeliers. Wake the neighbors. Wake the dog. Wake the baby. I don't care. Here we go. Ready? One, two, three.

[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Yes. Get three virtual high fives. Get three virtual high fives and grab a seat. Feeling phenomenal. Feeling absolutely phenomenal.

Well, for those of you that have been here before some of our other sessions, welcome back. I know we've got a lot of new inner circle members. So, welcome to you new inner circle members. We're so excited to have you here. And you are in for a special treat today because we are going to continue talking and learning and mastering RPM.

Let's start with the rules of the game. The rules of the game.

Number one, state is everything. State is everything. It really truly is everything. When you're in a great state, everything is better. Even things that aren't normally good. They may not be good, but they will be better than they would be if you were in a lousy state. So, manage your state. Whatever you got to do, if you need to stand up, you need to drink some water, whatever it takes, be in a great state.

Number two, focus. Focus, people. So, here's the deal. If you need to turn off the sound on your phone, turn off the, you know, the notifications on your computer, close the your door, whatever it takes so that you can actually focus on what you're doing. This is about taking time for you and you must make being, you know, taking time for yourself a priority.

Number three, take notes. Take note like you're going to want to treat uh teach this to somebody else because you are you are going to want to share this with some other people. So take notes like a mad person. All right, take notes.

And last but not least, number four, do it. Follow through. Take action. If you've been uh coming along with the training that we've done so far, we know we've been breaking it down into small bite-sized chunks. And so you need to continue to implement what you are learning. Implement what you are learning.

Now the question that everybody is always asking when we start a new day of training is what are we going to do today? All right. What are we going to do today? It's a great question.

The first thing is the same thing we're going to be doing on every one of these sessions. is we're going to build on the foundation that you have already created for utilizing RPM in your life. As you recall, RPM is a system of thinking. It's a mindset and you want to make sure that you're implementing it in every aspect of your life.

Number two, we're gonna go over and discuss and get you to a place where you own the five master steps of RPM planning. The five master steps of RPM planning. And this is going to allow you to live your days, your weeks, your months, your years in total alignment with what it is that you is is really important to you. That's what this is all about. It's about making your priorities as important and actually even more important than the priorities of other people because we spend so much time focused on other people's priorities. And this this training RPM is about one getting clear about what's really important for you and two following through and taking action and scheduling time for your important priorities.

The second thing that we're going to do is, as I said, we're going to focus on the five master steps of RPM planning. The five master steps of RPM planning. And and again, this is where you are going to learn how to plan your day, your week, a project, and do it in a way that is aligned with what's important for you, what's really important to you.

And last, but not least, we're going to talk about chunking. And this is just a way to simplify your life and take a lot of things and boil them down into a smaller number of things. And then you can create an RPM block for your day, for your week, or a project RPM block.

Well, you know what we've been doing? We've been starting with some celebrations. And we want to take a few minutes to hear from people that have started to implement this. What are your celebrations? What are your ahas? How is your life better or easier today than it was before you started to learn RPM? So, if you have something you'd like to share, go ahead and raise your virtual hand. Don't be bashful, people. Don't be bashful. Go ahead, raise that virtual hand. And you know, it's always better to volunteer than to be volunttoled. All right? It's always better to be volunteered than to be volunttoled. So, come on people. I know we've got somebody here. Excellent. Fantastic. Give it up for her. I I don't see a name, but um let's start start by giving us uh telling us your name and where you're from.

>> Hi, I'm Ann Monur. I'm from Los Angeles.

>> Ann from Los Angeles. Welcome, Ann. Good to have you here. So, what is your great to be here?

>> Wonderful. What's your lesson learned? Your aha. Uh how's your life different and better today versus uh before you started to learn RPM?

>> Uh well, I for my um I did it for weight, but weight is just uh not really what I was going for. I was going for more um energy and vitality and basically um to raise my um my level of like uh just feeling young, you know, like defying the odds of this age appropriate stuff that you have to put on yourself. So, um it's a it's a wider thing. It's not just um calorie counting. It's it's eating for energy. I made um I go to a trainer now twice a week and I schedule it at the same time um for two days a week. So I know I have to show up and um just by doing that I get more energy. I eat better. I I even part of it is also you know uh taking care of myself. Uh like I I go to uh I go to a facial. I celebrate and go to a facial if I've done everything and I, you know, so I I just feel better about myself. I feel younger. I feel more vi, you know, vitality, more energy, and that's what I wanted.

>> Beautiful. So, you feel better about yourself. You feel younger. You feel like you have more vitality. Is it fair? you've kind of said this, but I want to just, you know, kind of restate it and make sure I I heard it right. But you you've really started to make your priorities uh a priority and and make sure that you've scheduled time to do things like take care of your health, you know, get the face shield, take care of yourself, and and send a message to yourself that, hey, I am important and this is important stuff that I'm doing. and rather than just look for the scraps uh that you know that are left on the table after everybody else's time is scheduled into my day to to actually prioritize your things. Is that a fair statement?

>> Very fair. Yes. Very fair.

>> Beautiful. So, how much better would you say your life is today than before you started to to make some of your important priorities actually really priorities?

>> A thousand. Just a thousand times better. It's because I wasn't just going for that like 10 pounds or 20 pounds. I was going for like energy and vitality and to feel really great about myself and, you know, just so I'm not I'm not looking, you know, on the on the scale. I actually feel so fantastic. I don't need to look on the scale. So, and you know, everyone's kind of noticing that there's a change in me and I know it's just not because I'm going to uh a trainer. It's because I feel better and I'm smiling more and I have more energy when I show up and it's it's changed my life a thousand times better. It's just it's amazing.

>> Thanks. I mean that's fantastic and and first of all kudos and congratulations to you. I mean that is phenomenal news and thank you for sharing because you've illustrated something that frequently in fact almost always happens for people when they start to implement RPM in their life and that is they start to feel better.

>> Yeah.

>> And you hit the nail squarely on the head and you did a beautiful job of explaining it. It's it's really because you have told yourself, "Hey, I'm important." Rather than being last on the list for scraps of time that happen to be left over, you're making the things that are important to you important in your life because you're actually one getting clarity that hey, this is what I want, but two, you're scheduling time to actually make those things happen. Absolutely phenomenal. And let's give a huge round of applause for Ann. Come on, let her hear you. Come on, it's Ann. Yes.

All right. Do we have uh anybody else that uh would like to share? Anybody else would like to share? That was a such a phenomenal share. Um, yes, we do. It's Caitlyn. Where are you coming to us from, Caitlyn? Oh, no sound.

>> Oh, Chicago.

>> There we go. Now I can hear you.

>> Oh, perfect.

>> Now I can hear you.

>> Yeah. So, stay say your name and and where you're from.

>> I'm Caitlyn and I'm from Chicago, Illinois in the US.

>> Fantastic. Let's give it up for Kaitlyn from Chicago. All right. So, uh, what what's your aha? What's your breakthrough? What's your how how much better is your life now that you are uh utilizing RPM?

I find that I get so much more done. And the big thing that I remember from two sessions ago was the white space. And that really stuck with me because as I get more done, I get excited about getting even more done and might maximize my schedule. And making sure I prioritize the white space is so important for me just to make sure that I'm I'm there for emergencies and and for all the white space things that could come up. So, it's been great.

>> Beautiful. Fantastic. Yeah. For those of you that weren't here uh a couple sessions ago, what I talked about was leaving space on your calendar and not making the mistake that I made when I first went to a Franklin CVY uh you know program. Actually, it was a daytimers program. That's how long ago it was. Uh where I I I finished a program and I scheduled every minute of my day. And then I was super frustrated because things came up and I you know I didn't get everything done and I felt like this whole planning thing was a waste of my time. So, what I suggested, which Caitlyn has done, is actually block time to, you know, for the unexpected to plan for it. And I I typically tell people, you know, probably 20% of your time is a as a ballpark minimum. And depending on your job, it could be as much as 50, maybe even more. All right, let's give it up for Kaitlyn. Here we go. Eddie, come on. Here you go.

[Applause] Yes.

>> Well, let's uh let's take a look. We've had a whole bunch of you. People have been uh you know, talking and sharing and and encouraging each other like crazy on Facebook. Let's just take a a quick look at a couple of uh of Facebook posts that kind of stuck out to me and uh and the team that we have. Um, the first one was from uh Rebecca and uh she said, "You know, it's it's that time of week again. Gosh, remember the days when I made a a lastm minute to-do list with the complete belief that every item on it needed to be completed and how stressful it was. It felt like I'd never get every item crossed off and it was an ongoing ever growing list. Yuck. No more with that nonsense. And then she goes on to say, "If the week doesn't go as planned, what a reassurance to know that we are still moving forward no matter what on the actions that all make a monumental difference in our outcomes and fulfillment." And then finally, she says, "Less really is more." Less really is more. And we've had so many great uh Facebook posts. Keep posting on Facebook. We'd love to hear your progress and what's going on.

So, let's now shift gears for just a second. and talk about a quick review, right? Quick review. As I already said, RPM is a system of thinking. It's a system of thinking and it's a way to maximize your results with a minimum amount a minimum amount of time and have the most fulfillment you can possibly have in your life. Now the you some of you may be saying if you've been with me for some of these other trainings you may be saying why are we covering the same thing we we set this review every time because Tony has been saying for years repetition is the mother of skill repetition is the mother of mastery and he recently has started to to focus on seek to repeat meaning that you should look for opportunities to seek to repeat things that are really important and that's why we are going to continue every session to start off with a quick review.

All right. Now, RPM. What is an RPM block? It always starts with a result. It always starts with a result. It's the bullseye. It's the target. We use smart, specific, measurable, actionoriented, realistic, time defined because we want that result to be as clear as we possibly can make it.

Now, grab a piece of paper right now and as I'm talking through this, just pick a result, not some, you know, big project kind of thing, but some result that you need to accomplish in your life to just get this more and more in your body. So, what's the result that you would like to to to focus on right now? Just it just takes 15 seconds to write down what is the result. specific, measurable, actionoriented, realistic, and time-defined. Great. Great.

And the next piece is your purpose statement. This is the why.

>> This is the why. And this is the emotional juice. This is the emotional juice. This is where you want to make sure that you use words that really excite you. Not somebody else's words, but words that excite you. The words that excite you. And the way we said to do this, see yourself having accomplished that result. And then capture how does that make you feel knowing that you accomplished that result? How what does it mean to you that you've accomplished that result? who have you become in the process and then look at it from other people's perspectives. Again, we're not going to take a lot of time with this. Just jot down a couple of notes. And if and we also said oftentimes we'll do more for others than we'll do for ourselves. So, also if you have when you have time come back and add maybe if you have kids, kids are always a great thing to to utilize in your purpose statement. Anybody else that's important to you could be your employees if you're a business owner. Whatever it is, you want to tap into the emotional juice. That's the purpose statement.

And then last but not least is the massive action plan column. The massive action plan column. The column on the left hand side. The this is the last thing that we do. And here we generate a menu of items that we could potentially do to accomplish the result that we came up with to begin with. And again, I I encourage you to do it from a fully associated state because RPM is designed to be an emotional process. It's designed to be an emotional process. So see yourself having accomplished it. And then from that place of having already accomplished your result, look back in time and say to yourself, okay, what are some of the things I did or some of the things even I thought about doing that got me to this place of having accomplished it? So just jot down just jot down a couple of things that come to mind.

[Music]

>> Go ahead and wrap that up. in vain. You pick the pieces up and say, "Well, I guess that's what it's worth."

>> Go ahead, wrap that up.

>> And also seeking to repeat, we talked about the feedback model. We talked about the feedback model, three chunks. We talked about it as a feedback sandwich. The first piece is to say specifically one or two things that are great about uh whatever you're looking at. Whether you're, you know, giving an individual feedback or you're giving yourself feedback or you're giving feedback on some RPM blocks or magnificent sevens that you've done, acknowledge yourself by focusing on ideally two things that you have done that are great, but at least one. And then the middle of the feedback sandwich is to share uh one or two things that could make it even better. Tony talks about constant and neverending improvement. And this is what we're going for is to how could I take what I just did and take it to another level? Or if you're helping somebody else, how could they take what they just did to another level? And it's important that you provide specifics. Specifics are vitally important in each three of these chunks. And the last piece of the feedback model or the feedback sandwich is to acknowledge one more specific thing that was great and then celebrate celebrate that individual. Celebrate yourself whatever whatever the the particular situation is.

Now what we've been doing is we've been looking at a couple of examples uh of RPM blocks and Magnificent 7s that people have shared with us. Let's go to that first RPM block. Um, you know, to start with one thing that was great. Look at those things in the massive action plan column. Look at those things in the massive action plan column. You know, there's a a menu of things that are are all very specific. They're clear as to what the task is so that you can easily do it. So, the the the massive action plan uh items that this individual came up with are really really outstanding. Now, we shift gears. What's one thing that could be even better? And I actually circled that just to to highlight it. Um, and it's the result statement, but I put the the part that I think could be even better in red. They just said August of 2022. And if you recall when we went through this, a specific day is much more powerful. There's something about a specific day that locks our minds in and and activates our other than conscious mind and helps pull us towards that thing that we want. So that would be my suggestion for one thing that could be even better. And then the to close out the feedback sandwich, the another thing that's great is the is the purpose statement. The purpose statement has got some, you know, what I believe would be real emotionally charged things for the person who created this strong family relationships, queen of family fun, um, memories that last a lifetime and beyond. All right. And then we celebrate. Yes.

All right. Let's move on to a magnificent seven. Let's move on to a magnificent 7. And uh let's go ahead and put it up. It's it's pretty small. Um, the thing that I would say is uh is great are the roles are the roles. Uh extraordinary visionary, heat seeeking talent missile, worldclass communicator. I I guessing everybody can be in agreement that those are pretty emotionally stated roles and that's what we're looking for. Remember RPM is an emotionally charged system. It's an emotionally charged process. We want to bring as much emotion to it as we possibly can. One thing that could be even better, if you look at the purpose and the uh the vision statement, they talk about to create to create. It's like it's someplace out there. And whenever we create a um you know, a vision statement and a purpose statement for our magnificent sevens, we want to talk about it as though it were already a reality. Not that it's someplace out there in the future, but it is right here and now. So we state it in a way that you know it's it's already a done deal and that's not what was done here. So that that's my canai for this magnificent seven. And the second thing that I would say is great are the one year and 90day results. If we look at the one-year and 90-day results, there there obviously some key things that need to take place in order for this to happen to have the kind of success that uh that is desired in uh in creating magnificent sevens and then we celebrate. Yes.

Okay. This is the the feedback model. You you can use it with yourself. You can take a look at some of your RPM blocks. Look for one thing that was great, one thing that could be better, one thing that was great, and then celebrate the fact that you just created an RPM block or that you created a magnificent seven.

Well, the last bit of review that we are going to do today is the triad. Now, as you may recall, the triad is really just a recipe to recreate any state or emotion that you've ever experienced before. And the truth of the matter is it's a recipe to recreate any state or emotion that anybody has ever created or felt before. You don't have to have felt it yourself in order to create a triad around it. And the the triad, as I say, is it's a recipe. You can use it to step into whatever that state is. And we have triads for all kinds of things. We have triads for being sad. We have triads for being depressed. We have triads for interacting with our kids. And the difference is that those triads we're not conscious of. And if we're lucky and we happen to be using a positive helpful triad, then it's going to be a good thing. If we're not so lucky and we're in a bad place or a disempowering state, it's it's going to be it's going to be a completely different situation. Again, by way of uh you know, reminders, there's three components, hence the name triad. There's three components to the triad. The first is physiology. We always say physiology first. The second is focus and beliefs and the third is language.

Now um they've put some of the questions up that we would use for physiology. How are you standing? How are you breathing? What do you notice about your posture? What do you notice about your facial expressions? Is there tension or relaxation in different parts of your body? Is your is your weight evenly distributed between your your two legs? What is going on with your body? It even includes have you hydrated yourself? Have you been drinking water? In fact, why don't we all take a drink of water? If you have water, take a take a drink of water right now. Just taking a drink of water changes your physiology. It brings more focus. The the next piece as I said is focus and beliefs and then we already put the questions up there. What are you focusing on? Keep it easy. And then what do you believe about yourself about your abilities to break through barriers? What do you have your beliefs about others? What do you believe about your ability to handle obstacles or to overcome obstacles? Those are all things that come under the focus and beliefs. And then we have language is the last component. And are there specific words that you're regularly using to, you know, to to communicate when you're in a particular state? Are there phrases? I freaking rock might be a phrase that you use when you're in this state. Are there questions that you ask yourself? You know, questions that people ask themselves. And you have triads, whether you know it or not, for for empowering things as well as disempowering things. One of the questions that people often ask for disempowering things are questions like why do I always fall short. Those are questions that you know are not helpful and remember we will answer our minds will answer whatever question we ask ourselves. So the quality of your questions determines the quality of your life. You ask yourself better questions and you're going to have a better life.

Well, for those of you that were with us last time, you created your ultimate triad. Your ultimate triad. And what we're going to do right now is we are going to exercise that ultimate triad. And we talked about this last week. That was last month. That was one of the assignments that you had was to exercise your ultimate triad. Use that recipe that you put together. Step into it. Stand the way you were standing. Breathe the way you were breathing. Picture in your mind's eye whatever you were seeing. You know, focus on the things you were focusing on. Focus on the beliefs that you you had. And then focus on and use the language whether it's out loud or in your head because sometimes the language we use in our head is even more important than the language that we use out here. And it's all about beingcoming conscious of that language. As I said, we're going to just quickly walk through and exercise the triad that you created last month and that you would be practicing uh you've been practicing since then. And here's the deal. I know some of you are new. If if you're new, you can go ahead and start to capture components of your ultimate triad. just kind of follow along. I'm going to do a really quick little closed eye process. I'm gonna do a little uh closed eye process. And uh if you're if if you're you know, if you have your recipe, you don't have to close your eyes. You can and glance at it. That would I would encourage you to do. If you don't really know it it well at all, then just look at your your recipe and and use that as the cues of what you need to do. If you've been exercising your emotional triad, go ahead and close your eyes and see how much you remember. If you don't remember something, go ahead, open your eyes for a second and and look at it. For those you've never done it, you just go along with the flow and you should start to make some notes about what are the components of your ultimate triad. Ready? Go ahead and close your eyes. and see yourself stepping into you at your absolute best. See yourself stepping into you at your absolute best. Notice how you're standing. Stand the way you stand when you were at your absolute best. Whatever you put down in in your ultimate triad last month. But if you didn't, then just stand the way you stand when you are at your absolute best. Breathe the way you breathe when you're at your absolute best. Focus on the things that you focus on when you're at your absolute best. Focus and remember some of the beliefs that you have when you are at your absolute best. beliefs like how you handle adversity, how you break through the barriers that are placed in front of you, how easily you overcome obstacles, and then whatever the language is that you use when you are in your absolute best, when you are in your ultimate triad, I freaking rock. I kick butt. I do whatever it takes. How can I take my life to an even higher level? Yes, remember some of those questions and feel it. Feel it in every cell of your body and intensify it. Feel it even more right now. That's it. You're doing great. You're doing great. Whatever it takes. Take it up to a level 15. Whatever it takes. Move your body. Maybe you need to move your body. Maybe you just say something to yourself to feel that ultimate triad even more right now in this moment. That's it. Yes. It's okay to put a big smile on your face. That's it. That's it. Excellent. Excellent. Fantastic. Fantastic. And then on the count of three, on the count of three, we're going to celebrate like crazy. We're going to celebrate like crazy. Here we go. Ready? One, two, three. Celebrate. Celebrate your kids. Celebrate your ultimate fire. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. All right. Here we go. Yes. All right. You probably, if you have did this last month, you probably noticed some new things. So, make sure you jot that down on on your triad. And there's a place in your workbook for you to be able to do that. And if this was the first time you're doing it, just go ahead and and jot those some of those notes down as well. What did you notice about your physiology? What did you notice about your focus and beliefs? What did you notice about your language?

Well, now we are going to move on to the five master steps of RPM planning. Come on. I said we're going to go move on to the five master steps of RPM planning. All right.

Well, just at a at a really high level, the this here are the steps. Number one, capture capture ideas, wants, needs, calls you need to make, people you need to reach out to. Capture everything that you possibly need to do. Number two is to create your RPM plan. And I'm going to give you the option. We're going to actually go go do an example of this, but I'm going to give you the option. You can either focus on doing a day or you can focus on doing a week. If you're relatively new to this, if you haven't really used RPM planning, these five steps, I'm going to encourage you to just focus on a day. If you're more experienced, then when we do this, you can actually focus on a week. So, that's number two. Create your RPM plan. Number three is to commit and schedule. Commit and schedule. You got to schedule things. And first of all, you have to commit. You have to really say, "I resolve to make this happen." And then you have to put it on your calendar. And not surprisingly, number four is to complete and achieve whatever it is that you set out to do to complete and achieve that RPM block. And last but not least, number five is celebrate.

Now, for those of you that are uh you know have been participating here, you know, you have already really already done these things. We're just taking these little building blocks and we're now putting them together in a way that provides you a road map for how to actually go about and do RPM planning. The five master steps of RPM planning.

Well, number one, step one, capture and then chunk. Capture and then chunk. So, this is this is what most people do when they do planning. This is where you do a brain dump. People are familiar with this. You get everything that's in your mind out of your out of your mind. So again, it's your ideas, your wants, your needs, calls you need to make, people you need to meet uh to have meetings with, tasks you need to accomplish, anything and everything that you can think of. And there's an example here of somebody who did this, who just started to do a brain dump. And again, um when we actually do this, I'm going to encourage you, if this is new to you, that you focus on doing this for a day. And and given that this is a brain dump, we're not worried about order here. We're not worried about prioritizing. This is just to get it out of here and onto a piece of paper or into a computer file, whatever works for you. Get it out of here and onto a piece of paper. And you want to have a place that you that you have for you to capture things. Now, we're going to do a capture right now, but to utilize RPM most effectively, you want to have someplace that is easily accessible to you where you can, you know, capture things as they occur to you. So, you know, whether it's a file on your phone, a notes file on your phone, or a a word document on your computer, or if you you know, you want to do a a paper version, just a notebook that you carry, and you just keep a a running list of the capture items.

Now, here's here's the thing to keep in mind because you could be scratching your head saying, um, this is this isn't what I thought RPM was. This is the start. This is just step one, remember? But for most people, for most people, this is where they end. This is where they stop. All right? This is where they stop. And that that's not going to be you because we're going to go through all five steps of the five master steps to RPM planning so that you actually get to a place of not only putting together results, things you're going to focus on, but scheduling the time and and then doing it and then celebrating your success.

All right, so let's start with uh the exercise. We're going to focus right now on capturing whatever is in here. And again, if this if you're relatively new to this, I encourage you to just plan tomorrow. Just focus on a day. So take tomorrow and say, what are all the things that I want to get done? What are all the things that I need to get done tomorrow? And there's a page 19 in your uh in your workbook, I believe, is a page where you can capture this. Truth is, you can just use a piece of paper. There's nothing magic about page 19. All right. So, go ahead. I'm just going to give you a minute or so to get whatever you can think uh in your head out on a piece of paper.

[Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music]

Okay, go ahead. Go ahead and start wrapping that up. And and I'm not necessarily expecting that you're going to get this completed uh as we go through this today. This is just to get you started so that when you come back to it, you're not starting with a blank piece of paper. you've got something to start with. That is step number one, at least the first part of step number one because we also said it's about capture and chunking.

So chunking, well, first of all, at the highest level, RPM is a visual chunking device. It's it's that Tony designed it so that you can look at an RPM block. Everything is is focused. You start with a result. You have a clear idea of why this is a must for you. and you have the list of massive action plan items and you've drawn a circle around the result because it's like a bullseye. Now, chunking is really just grouping similar things together. Just really grouping similar things together and it allows us to focus our efforts and take lots of things and and make them into a smaller set of things. If you look at this list that's uh on the screen right now, uh look and see if you see things that would appear to have a similar result. Now, this isn't your list, so some of it may not make uh uh make complete sense to you, but if you were going to identify some things that might go together, what might they be? Just circle circle the things that you think might go together.

[Music]

And now let's look at the the next slide and see the things that we group together. You know, we've got compile the research, write a report outline, uh find a graphic designer, schedule two hours to to write and work on this uh this this project or this RPM block and to call Bob. And and so we've taken five of those things and we've compressed them down into just one thing, which is to put together an RPM block to create uh this this uh report. All right. Well, that's as simple as RPM is. So, give yourselves a hand for step one. Give yourselves a hand. We've covered step one of the five master steps of RPM planning. Excellent.

Now, you notice me, I'm glancing down because I want to see your uh your faces as you as you go through this. What's step two? Shout it out. I don't need to hear you. Yes. Create your RPM plan. Create your RPM plan. And and this is the three questions of RPM. What's the result? Why is this a must? And what are the actions that I need to do to to make this happen? So, let's go ahead and take a look at an RPM for this five actions. Those five actions. Let's go ahead and put that up. There we go. Excellent. So, you see we took those five actions and actually we uh I think we added them turned the phone off. We added that one uh as we created this RPM block so we didn't get distracted which is you know depending on how attached you are to your phone might be a good idea for you to do for yourself. All right, but we got the result. We got the result. Get my report done and early and make it even better than expected by March 4. And then we've got the purpose statement with some, you know, some the start of some emotional juice. And then we've listed out those uh massive action plan items.

Then the next thing because you know we've created these basic RPM blocks. You know the deal. The next thing is to apply what we call the five quick tips. The five count them five quick tips for RPM. The first thing is leverage or first let's go with priority first. First thing is priority. You'll see the column that says P. This is about actually, you know, taking those items and putting them in priority order, just numbering them. One is the highest priority, six is the is the, you know, the lowest priority. And it's also kind of, you know, the order in which you need to get them done. All right? If you were going to do this in some kind of a logical sequence, what would that be like? So, that's the priority. Now, you'll notice on 2, four, and five, there's a little asterisk. That's a that's a fun word to say. Um, asterisk. H, it's a little, you know, thing that looks like a a a star. Okay, that's Thank you. Thank you for Thank you for making fun of me. Um, that's all that's okay. I I have broad shoulders. I don't mind in the least. But you put an asterisk by those things that are absolute musts. Those things that are absolute musts. And what this is doing, it's it's applying the paro principle, the 8020 rule, that 80% of your uh uh result will come from probably 20% of your tasks. And it's just a rough a rough idea. But you'll notice, as I said, there are three items here that have been asterisks. The next thing going from right to left is the D column which stands for duration. And you're a smart uh folks. You can see that there's times written in there. So 15 minutes for the for the first item, 3 hours for the second item, so on and so forth. And this is just your estimate. You don't need to spend a tremendous amount of time. Don't get too, you know, caught up in your underwear about how long these things are going to take. just come up with your first estimate of how long you think it's going to take. And now this is one of the really cool things about this this particular step and and this is why we've added these five uh you know quick steps or tools to use to take your RPM blocks to the next level is now what you're going to do is you're going to add up the total time which is all the times that are in that uh that D or duration column and then you're going to add up the total must time the total must time And you'll see that the total time is 6 hours and 50 minutes, but the total must time is only 2 hours and 45 minutes. And it's why I said that's one of the many reasons I love adding these uh these five quick tips because this actually lets you know, hey, if I was just going to plow through all these items and not really give it thought, it would take me, you know, nearly seven hours. But because I'm doing the RPM process and I'm I'm using my mind and a process, I can do it in actually less than three. How cool is that? If it's cool, say yes.

>> Yes.

>> Oh, come on. If this is really cool, say yes.

>> Fantastic. All right. So, that's the duration column. Then you see the leverage column. You see the leverage column. And this is where you know you actually can come up with somebody else that could help you with this. Now, we talked about this in one of the earlier sessions, the difference between leverage and delegation. Leverage is where you provide guidance. You stay connected to the person you're giving this to. But this is just a reminder that you don't have to do this all yourself. And you know, I I often hear this because I work with all kinds of people over time uh for, you know, from Fortune 500 executives to, you know, uh college students. And oftentimes people say, well, you know, I'm a I'm a house mom or I'm a house dad. I don't have anybody I can leverage things to. Well, that's just not true. You know, if you if you have kids, actually, your kids can actually do some things perhaps to help you depending on how old they are. Or if you have a spouse, they could do things to help you. You have friends, they can help you. So, you don't, this doesn't have to be a business scenario. So, that's the leverage column. And then the last thing that you're going to do is you're going to we we always circle the result. We've been doing that all along because it's a bullseye. But you put a box around the entire RPM block. You put a box around the entire RPM block. Now, I'm I'm going to show you the the quick tips written out. There's lots of text on this slide. Um, and the great thing is that um the text is uh is is, you know, actually in your workbook. So you don't have to worry about copying it or taking a picture. Your the text is in your workbook.

Now you're going to get started with your RPM block. So take those that those those things that you chunked uh those those things that you chunked in your uh in your capture and then go ahead. In fact, um, let's let's make sure when before we start this, let's give you uh give you a minute to to actually chunk whatever you captured because I don't think we actually did that. Um, so when I say go, you're going to start by taking uh taking a look at your your entire capture list. See if there's two or three or four things that you can chunk together that relate to a common thing and then create the basic RPM block. All right, go. Have fun, people. Have fun.

[Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music]

So, get the start of your RPM block. And then once you've got that, and the goal isn't to finish your RPM block, >> the goal is to just get a couple of thoughts down, a couple of ideas down. Um, and uh, get yourself started on your RPM block. >> Go ahead now and and if you want to add any of those five, you know, quick tips or, you know, quick ideas to take your RPM block to the next level, go ahead and show that to them, please.

[Music] >> This slide with the RPM block and the quick tips. [Music] >> Let's try [Music] that last time. And we could be lovers in a crazy romance. Give me love and don't let it go tonight. [Music] Take 30 seconds to wrap this up. Again, the goal is not for you to have it done. It's just to get started. Just to get started. So you can come back to it, have something to start from rather than a blank piece of paper chaper. >> You're doing great. [Music] [Music] I could have stayed forever. So, let's go. Let's try. [Music]

>> All right, go ahead and wrap it up. Give yourselves a round of applause. Give yourselves a round of applause. You finished step two. You have finished step two. All right. Step three. Remember what step three is?

>> Commit and schedule. That's right. Commit and schedule. And and this is where you have to declare when you're going to work on your RPM block. You have to declare. You have to resolve. This is when I'm going to do it. And then you need to put it on your calendar. In this example down here, we got two uh two RPM blocks that this person worked on. One is to to uh to work on a a project or a report. the report that we've been talking about. And the second one is to work on their health. And you can see, we don't have the times on here, but you get the idea. This is to put it on your calendar. Work on a report from 7

To, you know, 8 in the morning on on Wednesday and work on my health, uh, from noon to 1 on Thursday. Whatever the case is, the key is you have to commit to specific time. And Caitlyn mentioned, uh, this this idea of of white space. You got to leave time open on your calendar that allows you to deal with the things that come up because you don't want to derail your your entire plan. You don't want to derail your entire plan.

All right. Well, now we're just going to take a minute or two for you to do step three, which is to commit and schedule, to pick a time to actually focus on working on your RPM block, making your priorities as important and even more important than everybody else's priorities. So again, we're not expecting you to get this completed right now. It's just to get you to wet your appetite, to stick your toes in the water and get a feel for it. So have fun, commit, and schedule. You got this.

[Music]

Been here before when we lost control of every little thing that we could have been. We let it all go. Been here before, [Music] always looking.

>> And if you didn't finish steps one and two, you're welcome to go back and work on those as well.

>> Use this time in a way that serves you.

>> Making your priorities important.

[Music]

So, let's go. Let's try [Applause] cuz we knew that this might be our last time. And we could be lovers in a crazy romance. Give me love to let it go. tonight.

[Music]

>> If you have time, you can go back to your capture list

>> and go ahead and chunk some more of the items that you have on your capture list.

>> You could start to create a second RPM block if you like. Again, this is just to get you in the mode of utilizing this of doing this.

[Music]

You'll be singing [Music] out and your feet are still hitting the ground. So, you got to hold on. You've got to hold on. [Music] You've got to hold on. The penny drops. You're out of luck. You hold your breath. You get back up when the rain turns to thunder like a beat of a drum. And you're out on the street. You're just dancing along. So the key got lost to a door you knew. And the lock will rust. But you follow through and you're losing your cut in the wire. Now you're running with scissors. You're a ride. Don't you feel it now? Your lungs are still breathing in air and out and your feet are still hitting the ground. So you got to hold on.

Don't [Music] they spo [Music] all that you feel is erosion. You got 60 seconds to wrap whatever you're doing up.

>> Again, take a deep breath. You're doing great. This

>> isn't about getting this all done right now. It's about getting the process in your mind and just starting to use it, starting to utilize it.

>> The five master steps of RPM planning. You're doing great. Breathe though. It's a really good thing to do.

>> The words they are spitting when all that you feel is your [Music] hold on. You got to hold on. He's got to hold on. He's got to hold on. Hold on.

[Music]

Wrap it up. Wrap it up. And give yourself a huge round of applause for the progress that you're making. That's it. You're doing great. You're doing fantastic.

All right, let's go on to step four. Remember what step four is? Yes. Complete and achieve. Complete and achieve. This is where the Nike commercial comes in handy. Do it. Just do it. Don't talk about it. Don't think about it. Just do it. In the last step, you resolved and you put it on your calendar, making it a priority, putting it down before everything else, all your other time got uh got sucked up by other things, other people's priorities. So, this this step is about doing it and measuring your progress, paying attention to how you're doing, paying attention to whether you're, you know, you're moving forward like the the way you want to.

Now, here's the here's a couple things to keep in mind. If something changes, don't freak out. Don't say, "Oh, this stuff doesn't work. This is not for me. I don't even know why I was started this thing because it just doesn't work." No. If something changes, just reschedule it. You know, if it's just like if you made an appointment to go to the doctor and you know the the appointment was for Friday and it's now Thursday afternoon and something's come up and you can't make it, you're going to be out of town. Who knows what it is that came up. What would you do? You would call the doctor and say, "Doctor, I can't make it to my appointment on Friday. Can I come next week? Can I come? Or maybe it's just you can't come right at that time and maybe you could come later on in the day. But handle your your priorities with the same level of importance that you handle other people's priorities.

And if I could if I could give you any any helpful hints, this would be perhaps the number one biggest hint. This is where most people fall down. They go through, they capture, they chunk, they create RPM blocks, they apply the five, you know, quick steps to take the RPM block to the next level. They schedule it. But then something comes up and it doesn't happen when they've scheduled it. And and people often times that are just getting started, they use it as an opportunity or as an excuse or whatever you want to call it to become derailed. It's okay. It's okay if if things change, if something comes up. The key is here's let me say it differently. The only thing that you should be upset with yourself over is if something comes up, you don't work on it during the block time that you set it up for and you do not reschedule it. That the do not rescheduling is the only thing that you should be upset with yourself about. Things are going to change. Stuff is going to come up. Things are going to, you know, it's like a moving moving target as we all know. Just when we think we have everything figured out in our in our life and in our plan and our day, in our week, God, the universe, source, spirit, mother earth, uh whatever you believe in, even if it's the Easter Bunny, is going to throw you a curveball. And you're going to have to go with the flow. And you do it naturally in so many other areas of your life. I'm absolutely certain of it.

The key is here. If if you schedule block time for today from 5 to 6:00 p.m. and you know you aren't able to do it, as soon as you realize, hey, I just blew past that 5 to 6:00 p.m. slot, I need to reschedule it. Maybe reschedule it for later today. Maybe reschedule it for tomorrow. Maybe reschedule it for Saturday or Sunday. Maybe it's even reschedule it to Monday. As long as you reschedule it, you can celebrate. In fact, here's what I recommend you do. When you realize you missed your block time, use that as an opportunity to celebrate because it's a great pattern interrupt. Yes, use it as an opportunity to celebrate because it's a great pattern interrupt. And then immediately in a heartbeat, right now, grab your calendar. Whether you're using a paper calendar. Most people are probably on a computer or on their phone and reschedule it. Reschedule it. In fact, lean in. Lean in. I I'm not sure you heard me. Reschedule it. Yes. Yes. Reschedule it. It's really, really truly that simple.

All right. And here's something else that can happen. Sometimes people create an RPM block. They get really clear on the result that they've uh that they're going to focus on. Use SMART. They've got a specific date. They put together a really powerful emotionally charged purpose statement and they put together some great actions. They apply those five tips. They put a big box around it. It's like this visual thing that they got right there. But then uh you know life gets really busy and crazy and they they start to feel disconnected from their RPM. That that result that was so crystal clear and right up here in front of them is not nearly as clear anymore. That purpose, the juice, the emotional juice, the the huge why that they felt when they were created that RPM block has kind of moved away from them. It can happen.

And here is what you do. Again, if you realize that that RPM is not as present for you, it's not right here. You're you can't associate to it and and you don't feel the emotional juice. Again, I would use that as an opportunity to celebrate. All right? And and here's let me explain why I I think celebrating is the right thing to do. Because my experience and having worked with thousands and thousands of people over the nearly 30 years I've been doing events with Tony is that when when we are unaware of things, we can't impact them. But once we realize things aren't the way we want them to be, we can actually change them. We can actually impact them. We can actually, you know, change from where we are at to where we want to be. But we have to realize that where we're at right now isn't where we want to be. And that's why I say when you realize that that RPM that you created is not as as present for you, you don't feel the emotional juice that you did when you, you know, put it together, celebrate. Hey, and just say, hey, yes, I I'm I'm not as so as associated to this RPM block as I was. Because that means to you I just need to get reassociated.

Now you may be asking what do I need to do to get reassociated? Is anybody asking that? Raise your hands. Wave at me.

>> Yes. Okay. If you need to get reassociated, it's super simple. That's another one of the beauties of RPM. It is super simple. All you got to do is go and find that RPM block and read through the the result again in a fully associated way. See yourself having accomplished that result. And then, you know, go take a look at that purpose statement and get reassociated to all the great things that you're feeling and the great things that it means and who you become in the process because you've accomplished it. And that's all it takes. And you can do that literally in 30 seconds, maybe a minute because it it is it's about exercising the emotional muscles and you just need to get yourself reassociated to that result and why that result is important and then it'll be present for you again and then you'll have the the the focus and the emotional juice to be able to to follow through.

If that makes sense, raise your right hand and say yes.

>> Yes.

>> Again, raise your right hand and say yes.

>> Fantastic.

All right. Well, we are now going to talk about step five of the five master steps of RPM planning. But in fact, before we do that, let's do something. Let's do yourself a little favor, a little gift for yourself. Go ahead and stand up right now. Stand up and close your eyes. Close your eyes. And with your eyes closed, think of the result that or one of the results that you've been working on as we work through the five master steps of RPM planning. Think of just one of the results [Music] and see yourself having accomplished that result. See yourself having accomplished that result and feel how great that feels. Feel the power, the strength, the the fact that man, I I took my life to the next level. Think about the things that it means to you, that you actually can set goals and follow through and accomplish them. And with your eyes closed, look around and see the other people that have been positively impacted by that result. And maybe it's just yourself, but feel how great that feels. That's it. That's it. And who have you become having accomplished that result? Who have you become having accomplished that result? I have become a kick-butt health nut or whatever it is. Whatever that result is. That's it. Feel how powerful that feels that you set a goal. You created an RPM. You took action and you made it happen.

So, on the count of three, on the count of three, we're going to celebrate like the crazy goofy kids that we are. And when you do this, you are celebrating your greatness. You are celebrating your greatness. So, here we go. On the count of three. One, two, three.

[Applause] [Music] [Applause]

Oh yes. Get two virtual high fives and grab a seat feeling amazing. Two virtual high fives. Grab a seat feeling amazing.

Well, we just did step five. I was thinking, why would we just talk about it? Why not just do it? Step five is to celebrate. Step five is to celebrate. All right? And it's really about taking your life to the next level, doing things rather than just talking about them. And this is where, you know, in step five, you want to reflect and acknowledge your greatness, acknowledge your success, acknowledge your use of RPM. Even if you're still getting it in your body, even if you're still it's a little clunky for you, that's okay. You want to make sure that you celebrate and acknowledge your greatness. It is vitally, vitally important. And you want to savor the magic moments. Savor the magic moments. Magic moments are just moments in time that you want to remember that fill you up. So, as you completed that RPM block and you were celebrating your greatness, there there may be some magic moments, if it involved somebody else, if you were doing something for somebody else or even if you were just doing something for yourself, you may have had that moment when you just said, "Wow," like Ann said at the beginning of of our session today, how much difference it made for her to actually set priorities that were hers, schedule time to do them and to actually follow through and do them. Savor those magic moments. Take it in. Feel it in every cell of your body.

And then the other thing you want to do as part of this celebration piece is to celebrate your greatness. And then ask yourself the question, if I was going to take this to the next level, because as I've been saying throughout this training, there always is another level. What what might that be? You know, I I I really didn't focus on uh you know, my priority items the way I could have that would have saved me a lot of time. That could be a a C.A.N.I., a constant and never-ending improvement idea that would help you next time to perform and do an even better job implementing your RPM block. The other thing you want to decide when you do this celebration is to decide, were there any things that I didn't get done? Were there any things that I didn't get done, but not just didn't get done, that I really feel like I need to carry forward to tomorrow or to to next week, depending on what kind of planning you're doing. It's it's it's really important to celebrate. And then, you know, this this second item here is really about using the feedback sandwich. What's one thing that you did great? What's one thing that you could do even better? And then what's one thing that you can do great? Because you always want to end on something that's great.

All right. Well, those are the five master steps of RPM planning. Let's just put them all up uh again for everybody to uh Yeah. And that's right. Give yourself a huge round of applause because you, yes, you have actually gone through all five master steps of RPM planning. And if you feel even more comfortable right now with your understanding of RPM, raise your right hand and say yes.

>> Yes.

>> Oh, come on. Raise your right hand and say yes. How fantastic does that feel? How fantastic does that feel? Yes. Yes. Give yourselves a huge huge round of applause.

Now, um we have Where are we on time? Look at us. We're We're doing perfectly on time. We actually even may have uh an extra minute or two uh at the end for some uh for some questions or shares. But let's finish everything that we want to make sure we get done so that you have all this knowledge and most importantly you know what your homework is for next month. Oh, come on. I said you know what your homework is for next month.

All right. So, let's let's do a quick review of of everything we've covered now in our four sessions of RPM training. The first five are seek to repeat. These are things that have been on the quick review every time and they will continue to be on the quick review for the last uh two sessions, session five and session six because they're that important.

Number one, number one RPM, it's an emotional process. You want to do it from a fully associated place. Where where people uh you know fall down is when they try to do RPM just from an intellectual place because when you do RPM from an intellectual place there's no juice in it there's no emotion in it you know and we we talked that people don't take action based on logic and intellect they don't take action based on logic and intellect resolutions are classic example. Their classic example. How many people have ever set a New Year's resolution and not followed through on it? If you if you've set one and not followed through on it, raise your hand. Come on, be honest with yourself. Yes. And and as Tony likes to say, if your hand's not up, you probably lie about other things because we've all made New Year's resolutions that we haven't followed through on. The key is you have to associate emotion. RPM is an emotional process. So when you're doing RPM blocks, and that's why we talked about the triad because when you implement when you exercise, when you step into your your ultimate triad, you're going to be in a great state for planning, for creating RPM blocks, for getting focused on what's really important to you. That's why we we talked about the triad. That's why we encourage you to use the triad before you go about doing your planning.

All right. Number two, it's a system of thinking. It's a system of thinking. All right. And and it's the the three questions. You know, the first piece is the result. It's the result. It's always first. And you want to make sure it's SMART. You want to make sure it's SMART. Second is the purpose. This is the emotional juice. Seeing yourself having accomplished your result, whatever that result is in in the time frame, maybe even early or even surpassing the result, but having accomplished it. See yourself and feel how great that feels and and answer the question, how how does this make me feel having accomplished this result? What does it mean to me that I've accomplished this result? Who have I become in the process of having accomplished this result? And again, from that fully associated place, as though it were already a done deal, seeing yourself having accomplished it in the time frame that you said you were going to accomplish it. Now, look at it ideally from the perspective of somebody else that's important to you. As I said, if you have kids, those are those are typically really good leverage points to use for this for the second part of your purpose statement because you know, so you've accomplished this result. You see yourself, you're celebrating, you feel great, it means great things, you become this kick-ass, you know, person who accomplishes things, doesn't just talk about things. What is it going to mean to your kids having seen you accomplish this? Who will your kids become having seen you accomplish this? Yeah. They become people who recognize you can set goals and actually make things happen. That there is a relationship between setting goals and being successful. How powerful is that? And who do they become in the process? Maybe they become more healthy. Maybe they become more connected to you. Maybe they become more conscious of the process of setting goals and taking action. And maybe they just become more more associated to actually making their priorities as important as everybody else's priorities.

Number three, remember RPM is a top-down system. We start with a driving force in the Magnificent Sevens. And we've talked about that. I think it was in session two or three somewhere along there, but we've we've covered that. But you want to you want to periodically reconnect with your driving force, with your magnificent sevens. Now, think we purposely chunk this down into small chunks because we didn't want to dump this all on you at one time. But as you can see, this is a process. It's building, building, and building. And it's just little chunks that we're building with. Then we talked and demonstrated the importance of language, the importance of language. Again, language brings emotion. He stabbed me in the back. Those words create a physical sensation in your body. They can't help but create a physical sensation in your body. And then we talked about the triad, the recipe to recreate any state. And you want to use that ultimate triad that you created to be able to get yourself in a powerful peak state before you start doing your RPM planning. And again, it's just about exercising those muscles. And then last but not least, where we spent the majority of our time today, the five master steps of RPM planning. It's just a roadmap. It's a roadmap to get you to the results that you want and to get you to your results rather than somebody else's results or just to wander through the wilderness not knowing where you're going.

Now, I know you've been wondering what is your assignment. Come on, you've been wondering it. Come on, let's hear it for your assignment. Number one is just a reminder. Embrace RPM thinking. Keep creating RPM blocks. Keep uh keep adding to uh to everything that you're using. Think of things in results all the time whether you're creating an RPM block or not. What's the result I need to get here? Why is this a must for me and what are some of the actions that I need to take? It is a system of thinking and regularly apply it. Continue to regularly apply it.

Number two, complete at least two more magnificent sevens for your categories of improvement. And some of you, I know, have completed all your categories, which is fantastic for you. Go back and and juice them up. Add some emotionally charged language. You know, uh refine some of your one-year goals. Add to your vision statement. That vision statement can never be too specific. Your purpose statement can never have too much juice. So, you can always add to your vision and your purpose.

Number number three is to utilize your ultimate triad. And don't just utilize it uh when you're doing your planning, but exercise your emotional muscles and step into it at least three times a day for at least a couple of minutes. It it'll take you less than 10 minutes a day and it'll be worth every moment of it. And then last but not least, do what we talked about today, which is to use the five master steps of RPM planning as the roadmap to create RPM blocks for your days and for your weeks. Give yourselves a huge round of applause.

Well, it's hard to believe people. It is hard to believe, but we are at the end of session four of your RPM training. You guys kicked butt, took names, and learned a ton. Our next session our next session is going to be July 21st, noon Pacific time, 3:00 p.m. Eastern time, or what we love to refer to as 3:00 p.m. Tony Standard Time. It's just really 3:00 p.m. Eastern US time. So, make the translation wherever you're at. We thank you for being here live. If you're able to be here and you're listening to the recording uh to this one, be here live next time. It's much more fun when you're actually on with hundreds and thousands of people. All right? But you know the deal. We could just say, "Oh, we're done." But not us. That's not what we do. That's not how we roll.

So, on the count of three, we are going to go crazy one last time celebrating your greatness. Celebrating your embracing of the RPM thinking process and actually using it. Here we go. Ready? One, two, three.
