We have some breaking news just in to Rockfeed tonight. Surely there will be more information forthcoming. I'm going to do my best to tell you what we know at this very moment.

We do not have any statements from the band. We do not have any statements from Sid Wilson, but what we do have is a breaking story from TMZ who frequently reports on matters of entertainment news and they have repeatedly been right in these situations, but as of now, we're going to take this with a grain of salt until we hear something directly from either Sid or the band, but what they are claiming, sources connected to the band are telling them that the legend himself, Sid Wilson, after their entire career with the band, is no longer in the group.

This of course will come as a major shock and disappointment for Slipknot fans. Here is what we know at this very moment, and as we learn more, stick here at Rockfeed. I'm going to give you all of the latest information. Sid Wilson is out of Slipknot permanently. He was told Friday afternoon and no one has said why. TMZ broke the story just a short time ago citing one source close to the band with direct knowledge of the situation. That source used the word permanently. Slipknot hasn't put out a statement at this very moment. Sid hasn't posted anything either. No comment from management. The story is just breaking at this time and there is no reason attached to TMZ's reporting.

Of course, he's number zero. He joined in 1998, the ninth and final piece of the lineup that made their breakout self-titled album just a year later. 28 years in the band, that makes him one of the longest tenured members of the group that they've ever cut loose.

Sid, of course, known for his shocking on-stage stunts. Opening night of Mayhem Festival 2008, he jumped off a riser at the back of the stage and shattered both of his heels, but he toured the rest of that summer in casts. August of 2024, he added gasoline to a burn pile on his farm in Iowa and the thing went up in his face. Burns across his face and both arms. The band put out a statement then saying he'd still be on stage at Rocklahoma the following weekend. He was. Nine days after the explosion, he told TMZ what that felt like. I've been basically bedridden up until then.

Now, Slipknot has done this before and of course, much to the dismay of fans, Chris Fehn gone in 2019 in the middle of a lawsuit he filed over the band's business setup. Craig Jones gone in 2023, announced with almost no information. Jay Weinberg, 10 years behind the kit, cut that same November. The band's statement called it a creative decision. Three months ago, Weinberg told Rolling Stone what that actually looked like from the inside. He woke up the morning after the last show of the year to a phone call from the band's management telling him his contract wasn't being renewed. He asked why and he didn't get an answer. About 20 minutes later, Slipknot hosted its statement online. His exact words to Rolling Stone, "Maybe I became a scapegoat for certain things."

Of course, the shocking announcement as well that Slipknot would be parting ways with their iconic original drummer Joey Jordison is something that still hasn't sat right with fans.

Now, the last two years have been chaotic for Sid Wilson. He proposed to Kelly Osbourne backstage at the Osbornes final show in Birmingham in July of 2025 and then in March, TMZ and the Daily Mail reported the engagement was over. But at this time, we have no information why Sid Wilson would be out of the legendary Slipknot. This is obviously shocking for the fans. This is shocking for me. Seemingly out of nowhere and as we learn more, I'll have more information for you right here on Rockfeed.
